Boon Orb Bottle Warmer,Green

Boon Orb Bottle Warmer,GreenWith a newborn, having a bottle warmer is essential. Purchased several other bottle warmers and had to return them, because they did not have the auto shut off function, which is especially dangerous in the wee hours of the morning if you forget to switch off or unplug.

Unlike other bottle warmers, the Boon warmer steams the bottle, rather than boils it. You end up using less water and the bottle gets warmed up quick.

The only setback is that the you have to be careful grabbing the bottle out because the steam is really hot. Happy with my purchase so far, but hope the product holds up. Will update in the future.

I like how fast this bottle warmer is, but to use it you have to fill the water each time. Not only do you have to fill it each time but you have to carefully measure the water that you add to the machine. When you baby is crying because he/she is hungry and you have to hold the baby while you prepare the bottle it is not ideal to waste time measuring and pouring water just to warm a bottle. Also if the bottle isn't warm enough after the first time around, you have to wait 10 minutes before using it again (while your baby is crying even louder now). So, no I would not recomment this item.

definitely worth the $25 i paid (on amazon last month). it only takes a few minutes and heats up bottles to not much warmer than room temperature, but that is fine for us. it does have an auto shut-off, but if you leave the bottle in the warmer it will get too hot.

I purchased this warmer to help my mom out cause she has problems with her fingers and cannot tighten the bottle cap. It works well but I noticed if the formula is refrigerated it brings it to room temperature.

I delayed on purchasing a bottle warmer until I saw this one in a magazine. It's so easy and simple!! I like the one button push and it heats up the bottle great!!! You just have to try a few times to see how much water you need to put in according to the bottle you are using. I purchased it for $25 on Amazon...I guess the price went up.

NurturMe Plump Peas Dry Baby Food - 8 pk

NurturMe Plump Peas Dry Baby Food - 8 pkCrunchy carrots contain organic carrot, organic maltodextrin and lecithin.

Hearty Sweet Potatoes contain organic sweet potatoes, organic maltodextrin, organic corn starch, sunflower lecithin.

Plump peas and crunchy apples contain 100% peas and 100% apples.

The peas and the apples were the first products I tried from this company. The baby loved them and I loved the ingredients. I thought I would try the other products so I ordered the carrots and sweet potatoes. To my surprise and disappoinment, when they arrived, I saw that they contained ingredients that I was not pleased with. I wrote Nurturme and asked why they put maltodextrin in their products unnecessarily and they responded, The organic maltodexrin in our products is derived form organic corn. Maltodextrins are manufactured form starch and are extensively used as an emulsifier in foods.

They are included in our foods because they are binding agents that are used when our foods are dried. Like starch, most maltodextrins are easily digested and used for energy in the body." So, while the carrots and sweet potatoes are probably fine, they did not contain ingredients that I wanted to feed my baby. The biggest issue being that this information was not included in the product description on amazon.

Earth's Best Organic Wholegrain Infant Oatmeal Cereal - 8 Oz

Earth's Best Organic Wholegrain Infant Oatmeal Cereal - 8 OzMy son loves this oatmeal. He started it at 5 months and has had absolutely no problems with eating it. However, I ordered it from Amazon the first time and later saw that the exact same product is available at Wal-Mart for less than $3. I would have returned the box from amazon.com, but by the time they would have deducted the shipping costs for the return it would not have been worth it. It was a loss either way. I will never order this product from amazon.com again unless they lower the price.

This is an excellent cereal to give baby after rice cereal. It is easily digested and helps if your baby gets a little constipated. My baby loves the flavor and the best part is that it is organic. I highly recommend this cereal.

When i mixed with the milk, it had a very weird consistency compared to the oatmeal I bought in the store (same exact brand). I think this must have been very old or something weird, because it just isn't right. Also, when I bought this I was unaware of the price in stores, but since it took a few days to come I went to Safeway in the meantime, and it was only $2.99 compared to this $13 crap. I am soooo mad I bought this, had to throw it away

My Baby loves this cereal. And the current price on Amazon at $8-13 a box, you know it's got to be better than Target's $3-4 per box. There must be a lot more nutrients since we all know that we get what we pay for! She likes them all, I've never had a "bad box," no matter where it is purchased.

Peg-Perego Activity Tray for Prima Pappa

Peg-Perego Activity Tray for Prima PappaWhen I saw this product from Peg for only $19.99, I thought what a bargain considering the highchair was almost $200.00. Turns out it really is only worth $19.99, if that. I thought the toys were fairly boring, although I forgot that 8 months old find even the most mundane looking things fascinating. So it does provide some entertainment when he is hanging out for a bit in the highchair while I prepare dinner. However, because the Prima Pappa tray is set rather high, this also makes the farthest part of the Activity Tray inaccessible for him (hopefully just until he gets taller). Also the telephone cord doesn't reach very far, so it's all he can do just to hold it--it certainly doesn't reach to his ear or even face. All in all, it's ok---provided it doesn't cost more than $20---because babies and toddlers find fun in almost anything. Peg Perego should come out with something better, and redesign the highchair tray so that it's not so high up.

I think this was a great accessory to my Prima Papa. A toy my daughter could not throw on the floor for me to pick up, she really enjoyed playing with the phone. Just remember to take it off before feeding your baby or you will have something else to clean.

At first, I wasn't sure if I'd made a mistake in buying this. But, my daughter loves it! She has played with it since she was about six months old. Now, she's nine months old and it still keeps her entertained. It has made mealtime more enjoyable for all of us! Also, it is easy to install and remove from the tray.

I agree with the review that mentioned the short cord for the phone and the do-nothing buttons at the top. I would add that the graphics on the tray are simple paper decals, which are a poor choice for something to go on a baby tray. In no time they will be stained and torn and there's nothing you can do about it.

I threw ours away after the bell underneath the phone got wet and then rusted. Really, the only advantage to this tray is that it is sized correctly to clip onto the main tray. I can think of nothing else positive about it.

We received this activity tray as a gift and thought it would be great. We have found it to be of little value. The phone receiver is so short that my son can barely pick it off the tray. You can't hold it up to mimic talking on the phone. The four buttons at the top push down but that's it. No squeak, no buzz, nothing to make my son want to play with it. Same goes for some of the other "activities". I called Peg Perego to complain about the design and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me. Save your money.

SoHo- Brown Diaper bag with changing pad 6 pieces set

SoHo- Brown Diaper bag with changing pad 6 pieces setI really like this diaper bag. It is a little smaller than I expected but none the less totally worth the price I paid. I didnt notice in the picture that the straps were so thin and look cheap but thats my fault. I should have known I wasnt going to get leather with the price I paid. I still love this bag(s) though it has all the accessorie bags and very cute design!

I thought the bag was going to be a little bigger, I like the color but I just wish it was a little bigger.

Product looked exactly as described and all the pieces were described accurately. The only problem I had is that the stitching has already come loose from the zipper on the front pocket of the smaller bag.

I bought this before my son was born thinking it was an amazing deal. BUT when I got the bags and used them to pack for the hospital, I realized that it was just an okay deal.

The bags hold a decent amount of things. I was able to pack a few days worth of clothes and other things that I needed. The big pockets do not zip very well if you try to pack the bag wider than the zipper. The outside pockets are very thin, do not hold big things. The side pockets do not hold onto things very tightly. The bottle bag is well, a bottle bag. The small case is just big enough for nursing pads or binkies, not much else. No fitting wipes in there, no fitting diaper creams. What are you supposed to put in there? :/ The changing pad is very thin, but it was a nice thought (if you need it, you have it).

I do love the pattern though and I do still use the bags often, my son is now 5 months old.

I would recommend this set to someone that does not need to pack much when they go somewhere or that has an extra bag just in case (as i do).

Good product, just wish it was better. :)

Naturepedic Waterproof Flat Bassinet Oval Pad, 14x29

Naturepedic Waterproof Flat Bassinet Oval Pad, 14x29Overall I am satified with this product, but just as an FYI to buyers When I washed the mattress protector for the first time, it did shrink from 29 inches to 27 1/2 inches WITHOUT drying it. This worked well for me because it was slightly too long for my bassinet, but who knows how much it would have shrunk if I had dried it.

It is sturdy and has NO chemical smells. I question what makes it waterproof if it's just 100% cotton, but it does seem to repel water.

I was misled by the description. I thought I was buying an actual pad for our bassinet, and was surprised to get basically a flat sheet. However, after reading the other reviews, I may end up keeping it as it does sound like a good placemat over bassinet sheets for spit-up, leaks, etc. But buyer beware, you are NOT getting the thicker bassinet pad with this product!!

Buy Naturepedic Waterproof Flat Bassinet Oval Pad, 14x29 Now

Our baby has been sleeping in his bassinet for two months now and it's great. It breathes wonderfully so he doesn't wake up sweating or anything, even when we swaddle him. It easily washed in the washing machine and dries pretty fast in the drier. I already bought two for the crib. I definitely recommend doing this instead of the plastic ones. Also, our baby is a big spitter so we'll put a cloth diaper under his head so that absorbs his spit and we don't have to change his sheets everyday.

I originally bought this along with a new bassinet mattress to go inside my 50-yr old, family heirloom bassinet. (The family heirloom mattress was worn out.) Unfortunately my son just hated sleeping in it, so I repurposed this pad by using it on the changing table as a waterproof liner. I LOVE it.

Before this pad, I was using liners that had a plasticky synthetic layer on the bottom, and soft organic terrycloth on the top. Unfortunately, those liners got more and more warped with each wash, until they were so curled up I could not use them anymore. But this liner is all cotton, and it is thick and sturdy yet very soft. Liquid doesn't leak through to the changing table cushion unless I leave it there for a very long time.

And best of all, it doesn't warp in the wash. It still lies beautifully flat. And the canvas-y material helps it cling to the changing table cushion, so it doesn't catch my son's attention and make him want to roll over and play with it mid-change.

I only wish it were a little cheaper so I could buy 3 or 4 more!

I love that these pads are made from organic cotton and made in the US. We bought 2 for our baby's bassinet and then bought two more to use as a lap pad and just to let our little one stay diaper free during the day on a pad. It's very soft, washes easily under running water, and very absorbent (2-week old baby can stay on it for a couple of hours easily and you know how often these little people pee. You just need to rotate sides under the baby's bottom :) The only downside to the product is that it doesn't absorb right away so sometimes the pee spills over it before getting absorbed. Otherwise great product.

OXO Tot Baby Food Freezer Tray, White/Green

OXO Tot Baby Food Freezer Tray, White/GreenI guess the cover is only to keep things from falling on the food in the freezer. It doesnt seal tightly so odors and freezer burn still set in. I make better food with a regular ice cube tray covered with saran wrap.

The cubes dont pop out of this tray when you turn it upside down, you actually have to lightly poke one side of the cube to make the other side pop up. This makes it take longer to put the cubes in freezer bags (which you will have to do because the lid doesnt seal the food). With regular trays I just twist and dump into freezer bags.

Overall its kind of a waste of money. Just use the inexpensive ones with saran wrap, or pay the extra money for the rubbermaid.

I've tried the Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Food and Breast Milk Trays and these, and so far I think I like these the best. The slightly rounded bottoms of the cubes make it really easy to pop the food out, especially if you just want to pop out a few at a time. None of the food I've made so far has stuck to the trays, they've all come out easily. The lids slide on from the ends, and 'snap' in position. However, I don't think there's any real 'seal' to the lids such that the freezer burn might be worse. I freeze batches and put them into various freezer bags within a few days, so it hasn't been a real issue, but just to make it clear it's not a very tight, air-proof lid in my opinion.

I ordered this and the Annabel Karmel Freeze Cube Tray to try with my homemade baby food purees. This Oxo Tot tray is so much easier to use so I ordered more of these. It also freezes in smaller portions (~3/4 oz) so food reheats more quickly and evenly, and it's easier to customize portions. I have used this tray for fruit, vegetable and meat purees.

I looked at lots of different baby food trays before settling on this one. I liked the fact that it has a lid (most don't offer lids). Once food is frozen, just let the tray sit in rm temp for a min, then twist gently and all the cubes come right out. They stack right on top of each other, saving space in my small freezer. Making baby food isn't hard but still takes time, and the tray makes it even easier. They are BPA free and relatively easy to clean. I got two and couldn't be happier. Best of all, these are decently priced!

Want OXO Tot Baby Food Freezer Tray, White/Green Discount?

We have been making baby food for about 4 months now, and this tray has been everything we hoped it would be. After all, it's essentially an ice cube tray with a lid. No, it is not a long-term storage container because the lid does not seal tightly. If I leave cubes in there more than a week, I will see freezer burn. Since I cook ahead on weekends, I usually freeze food in the trays and then pop them into a freezer bag. I mix and match foods all week, so I prefer to have several different foods at the ready. I find that one tray holds four small-medium apples or pears perfectly. A medium butternut squash is a little too large to fit all in one tray. To handle the overflow, we also have some freezer pots that we use, but truth be told I prefer the tray because the 1-oz portions are perfect for mixing different foods (and now that my daughter is 9 months old we had to get a second tray). In the morning I just pop a few cubes into a larger container, and they are thawed by the time she needs to eat at school. Great for a working mom who wants to provide home-cooked food!

Tip sometimes the cubes do "stick" in the tray, so I use a chopstick to push on one end and they pop out perfectly. The chopstick doesn't damage the tray works great for me!

Gerber Good Start Protect PLUS, Powder, Case Pack 24-Ounce Can (Pack of 6)

Gerber Good Start Protect PLUS, Powder, Case Pack 24-Ounce CanWhen our spontaneous triplets were born at 34.4 weeks gestation I was determined to breastfeed them and was able to do so for the first 7 weeks, supplementing with Enfamil Enfacare (22 calorie preemie formula), as directed by our pediatrician. In the NICU they were getting as much milk as I could make enhanced with the Enfamil and when I stopped nursing we were told we should stick with the Enfamil due to the triplets' low birth weights (5 pounds each at birth). Once they were no longer getting breast milk their poops became more solid and bulky and much more stinky.

Our triplets just turned 5 months old and we were given the go-ahead from the pediatrician to switch their formula to a regular formula as long as we mixed it rich, using more than the recommended amount to bulk up the calories until they were 6 months old. I was dying to switch them because there are many food allergies in my family and knowing all the new food-allergy research I wanted the kids to get the probiotics into their system before we started solids. We started by using the Good Start for 1/3 of their bottles, Enfacare for 2/3, to make the switch gradual and less shocking on their tummies. They have been a little cranky and gassy while their system adjusts to a new formula but the proof is in the diaper. Since the switch, the kids' poops have gone back to that sweet(er) smelling, yellow mustard seed looking, classic breast milk poop. I've also noticed that they are pooping a lot less, which means that their bodies are using the food it gets more effectively and efficiently. I am blown away by this. I can not believe what a huge difference just a little of this formula has made just a few days. I feel confident that my instinct to switch them to a better formula was correct all along.

Yes, it might not mix as easily (invest in a Dr. Brown's Formula Pitcher!) but it does not produce all the bubbles the Enfamil did, nor does it smell as bad, and it won't stain like other formulas. The comfort proteins and probiotics make this the perfect formula. Breast milk may be best but this is the next best thing!

This is great formula, but despite scare tactics of whacko tree huggers who dropped out of school, the Hydrolized protein in this formula is made through enzyme process which does not result in MSG. There are 3 significantly different processes used in USA by mfg to hydrolize protein and just because one results in MSG, does not mean all processes do. These same size and type formulas can also be purchased elsewhere for much cheaper and instantly with no shipping charges. Check your local WallyWorld.

My baby, Ryan, was born with a heart defect that required major surgery to correct. The doctor that performed his surgery recommended I mix formula with breast milk to suppliment his caloric intake. The hospital started him on Infamil but he didn't like it and spit up a lot. I started using Nestle Good Start With Natural Cultures when my baby was around one month old. I have never had a problem with the formula not mixing up well, but I always use filtered water that is room temperature or above. My baby has thrived on this formula and is so healthy the doctors can hardly believe it. Usually children born with heart problems have trouble gaining weight and are more prone to being sick; that has not been the case with my child, Ryan. He is 6 months old and is 19lbs, 28" tall, and very strong and healthy.

I have not had any problems getting this powder formula to dissolve.

Our three week old daughter was crying in pain after using Similac Isomil Soy (what the hospital recommended for sensitive stomachs...etc). It just broke my heart to see my daughter in pain after she had a bottle. My wife and I knew that something was not setting well with her tummy. I ventured off to Wal-Mart to read labels to find out which formula had a good amount of iron...but not as much as the other brands. The standard amount of iron per serving is 1.8 mg. The Nestle Good Start Natural Cultures Infant Formula with DHA & ARA has 1.5 mg of iron per serving. I thought that the iron content was making her gassy and constipated. We switched her to Nestle Good Start and she is doing great now. No more crying, fussing or gassiness. I am not sure if the iron content is the real reason for her tummy aces (iron is essential for the development of children). Whatever the different it is, we now have a happy baby.

My baby is on milk formulas for most part. I tried several different formulas including Enafamil, similac advance. I switch initially as he had gas trouble as well as constipation. With this formulas more regular bowel he has regular bowel movement and thus he also drinks regularly. His gas trouble is also controlled. Although I introduced this when he was three months and no plans to change formula.

Cons:

It's expensive then other formulas.

As other reviewer noticed it doesn't dissolve 100% most of the time.

3 - in - 1 Feeding Organizer

3 - in - 1 Feeding OrganizerI'm currently breastfeeding and I use bottles whenever I need to leave. This organizer was the best out there.I love the fact that the two baskets could be used for the dishwasher since there is a lid stored underneath. The down side is that you could only fit a total of 7 bottles.Avent 9 ounce bottles are not one of them(don't know about the small Avent),but I still put my Avent bottles in it,just won't fit on the bottle holders.Like most parents,I have more than 7 bottles,I store the rest of my bottles somewhere else.

I looked at the Gerber baby food and bottle organizer, but it only holds the skinny bottles and I have Avent and wide-opening First Years bottles. This bottle organizer holds a day's worth of bottles with spots for nipples and nipple rings. The pegs on the side are great for holding extra bottles or cups. The under-cabinet mount is great because it keeps my cabinet and counter space free.

If you're looking for an organizer for baby food, Sassy makes on, at it is MUCH cheaper than the Gerber one.

This works for bottles or sippy cups. Keeps everything together in one place. No more loose items tipping over in my cabinet. Drawers work in dishwasher which is a plus. I like the drying rack pegs on the end. Drying and storing all in one place.

I used this for my first child's bottles. Although it was good to have a place to store bottles instead of having them in the dish drainer or all over the counter, it doesn't hold very many. Another disadvantage is that if there is any moisture left in the bottle when placed inside the round section with the sliding door, the moisture will not dry out well, especially with the door closed. It's a bit large for a very small kitchen. I never used the under cabinet mount, which might work nicely. I had trouble using the baskets in the dishwasher. The force of the water would frequently cause the top to come off and then out came the rings and nipples into the dishwasher. I even lost a few nipples that fell to the bottom of the dishwasher and got burned on the heating element. I ended up using the basket as storage for clean nipples and rings, and buying separate baskets for the dishwasher that lock the nipples in place. I am now expecting my second child and looking for an organizer. I got rid of this one and probably won't replace it with one like it again. Unfortunately, there aren't many drying racks/bottle organizers out there. I would like to find one that is more open, holds more, and maybe takes up less space. One final note, I used the skinny bottles then. I don't think it would work well with wider bottles, like Avent, Elan, etc. which I am going to use now. I had a few playtex and healthflow angled bottles, and found the storage area didn't work great with them either. Still, I had a very small kitchen and it was at least "something" to try to keep things contained and organized in one spot that is easily accessible.

We use a lot of different bottles (Avent, Dr. Brown skinny and wide neck, First years, parents choice, playtex, etc) and this will hold ALL of them with out a problem! Although I wish it were bigger because we have a LOT of bottles.

Baby Food Maker - Immersion Blender with Food Processor Attachment

Baby Food Maker - Immersion Blender with Food Processor AttachmentI bought the Sage Baby Puree & Blend, because I really didn't want to buy one of those baby food cooker machines that cooks baby's food in plastic yuk! I much prefer to cook my baby's food in my stainless steel steamer basket and give it a quick blend with the immersion blender or food processor. I'm really impressed with this product. It works how it's supposed to and has made preparing my baby's food really easy. It's simple to use, easy to clean and much quieter than I thought it would be. I also like that I will be able to use this past the baby food stage.

I absolutely loved this for the two months that it worked. Now however it is completely unusablethe stick is stripped as is the blender cup so smoke just comes out with a high pitched whine and nothing will rotate. I contacted the company to see about a warranty and never hear a response. Very disappointed in the quality and the customer service. I'm going with a different option for a replacementso many other blenders out there that I'm sure will last longer.

UPDATE:

After posting my review customer service was really wonderful! They not only replied to this review but they did send me a new blender system (without even talking to me again). Then they also called to tell me they had sent it and that it wasn't a usual problem with the blender that they have heard of, so I'm supposed to let them know if it happens again. I really do love this blender so since the company stands behind their product, I did change my rating. Thanks so much Sage Spoonfuls!

Happy Baby Mango Stage 1 Baby Food 3.5oz

Happy Baby Mango Stage 1 Baby Food 3.5ozI just wanted to share my experience with HappyBaby food. I tried several different brands of baby food for my children and several different brands of organic baby food. HappyBaby has always ranked #1 in my book and my childrens'. Their products are always very fresh tasting and they constantly come up with flavors that I would never think to feed my baby. HappyBaby Mango was both fresh tasting and something I would never think of giving my baby, but so glad I did. I love mangoes and regularly use them in my meals. Mangoes are packed with fiber, antioxidants and vitamins. With this being organic none of the nutrients and vitamins were lost in the processing and packaging. Speaking of the packaging, I love it. The packaging made it so easy to feed the kids (or them feed themselves) and then twist the top back on and use for another time. I will definitely be buying this product again.

Munchkin Fresh Feeding Starter Set

Munchkin Fresh Feeding Starter SetCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program My wife and I decided to make our own baby food than buying them in jars. Not only is it cheaper, but we also get to buy more healthful food for our infant daughter. From organic peas to raw bananas, our daughter receives pure unadulterated food appropriate for her age, and is actually easier on our wallets.

We've been using a blender and ice trays, but decided to get a set dedicated only to making baby food.

Overall, we think the set is okay, better if you don't have any of the items in the set. We have other items from Munchkin, but, like those items, we could see ourselves preferring our original products over them. In that, the masher and chopper are good for smaller bits, whereas our blender can take pretty much any size. The steamer is a great tool, though my in-laws recently gave us a dedicated standard steamer. The ice trays will probably take the most use, as they're not as large as our other ice trays, taking up much less real estate in the freezer.

You can do without this if you already own a blender with puree settings and ice trays, which I'm sure most people do. The steamer is a nice addition, though not necessary.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had use this for making baby food for my 6 month old baby and I have to say these products are pretty useful but not perfect. First, the Grinder was nice to have for certain foods but some of the foods did not grind very well not really sure why, I might have been doing something wrong at certain times. Love the idea but I guess this was just not one of those things that I really needed. Thought it would make food prep for baby easier then getting then little blender out, but it did not, just as many things to clean and takes more man power to use. It is nice for when we go to restaurants though. I have a feeling the people who said the "grinder is too hard to turn" did not cook the food soft enough and for those reviewers who said "it's wobbly and gets food all over the counter" did not tighten the handle after washing it before the first use. When tightened correctly it locks into place perfectly.

I take a frozen veggie or two, heat a few pieces at a time and then add oats and formula. I can grind the whole thing with this product and even serve in the same bowl. Perfect. Yes this is not a product for someone who wants a very fast feeding. Save your pre-packaged meals for those days. But for fresh, cooked (soft) vegetables ground into easy-to-eat texture for a little one, this is ideal. Buy it, tighten the handle well, and cook the food soft before using it and you'll really love it! As for the tray, I made several combinations of food and liked that I could store individual servings in each compartment in the tray. As other reviewers said, the food doesn't really just pop out but I slid a butter knife in and they came out fine. I'm not sure how airtight it is because there is a bit of frost on the top of the food. I really love the blue color and how it matches all the other products in the set and them stacking on top of each other is helpful for my small freezer. Overall, it serves the purpose I wanted it to.

The Chop & Steam gadget is not bad either the Chopper lets you quickly chop food and steam it in your microwave. It's much easier than using knives, especially if you're still sleep deprived. Removing the chopper blade for cleaning is a little tricky, however you need to be careful. With the Mash-After your food is chopped and steamed, you put it in the grinder to make it the desired texture. The grinder is totally hand operated, so it was a little hard for me to use since I have a touch of carpal tunnel in my left hand. Since all of the pieces in the system are sold separately, you could just skip this and use a blender if you wanted. Lastly for the Store area, once you're done, Munchkin has click and lock freezer trays that you can sue for storing your food. They are about the size of ice cube trays, which ends up being the perfect portion size for your little one. They have a wonderful storage lid that prevents freezer burn and covers the entire tray so you can easily stack them in your freezer. You can also buy special storage cups and a device for making freezer popsicles for your baby.

If you're serious about making your own baby food, these tools are definitely worth checking out. You'll easily regain your initial investment by not having to buy jars of baby food at the supermarket every week.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is, quite honestly, the WORST baby product I have EVER used. The grinder/blender is terrible. It barely does anything. The chopper is so difficult to use, even after steaming, that it's just useless.

The only thing that works as stated is the ice cube tray, but really, how hard is that? You can get those for $1 and that's that.

What works better? It's simple. . . use a regular steamer (either microwave, electric, or in a pot with boiling water), a food processor or small baby food blender (which are no more than $15), and either store the baby food in the ice cube trays or in tupperware/jars.

Much simpler, much cheaper, much more effective.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program So..... Martha, how have you been? Oh, got a baby and he/she is eating solids? Terrific! Do yourself a favor and buy the Munchkin Fresh Feeding Starter Set! It's a terrific starter set for making your own baby food. It's a LOT of plastic and you are looking at a LOT of elbow grease but HEY! You're Martha.

Now, don't overlook the Munchkin Fresh Feeding Starter Set even if you aren't handy dandy in the kitchen and aren't terribly thrilled about HARD, hard work to feed your baby. It's still a good place to start.

Use the Munchkin Baby Food Grinder to see if you have the time, patience and determination to make your own baby food. If you find that you do, great! Now do yourself a favor and discard the Munchkin Fresh Food Chopper and Steamer and the Munchkin Baby Food Grinder because they are utter crap and get yourself the good stuff. The food tray is very useful and well worth the price of admission though, so keep that.

The Fresh Food Chopper is flimsy and will never replace a decent blender. The "blades" of the Chopper cuts with the sharpness of a butter knife and you will find yourself exerting a whole lot of effort if the food isn't finely chopped by hand first. Uh... which kind of defeats the purpose of having a tool that chops. I'm getting a headache...

The Grinder is also flimsy and mostly plastic so you are looking at something breaking sooner rather than later and really, it takes some effort on your part to grind the food to a nice tasty pulp that baby will dine on. Toss it as soon as you like the idea of feeding your baby food that you've made yourself. Get a blender.

Kind of recommended if you don't have a blender, are into manual labor, or really, REALLY like plastic. A lot.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program With our first child, we opted by and large for making our own baby food instead of purchasing the pre-made baby foods. Partly because you get to see directly what goes into the food, partly for savings, as jars of baby food can add up in cost quite fast, and partly for convenience. It also seems to have worked well in getting our child to eat relatively the same food that we do, so that not as much extra preparation goes into meals. We had purchase just a simple grinder, like the one in the Munchkin Fresh Feeding Set. The only difference was the strainer plate on the old one was plastic, and this Munchkin set has a metal strainer. The chopper/steamer is a nice addition to make the job quicker and easier, reducing the cutting and knife-work involved in preparing the baby food. The hard plastic arm has a grid of plastic teeth that push the food through a sharp metal grid. The photo shows carrots being chopped, and since that's the hardest vegetable we typically cook with, we gave it a try. In order to chop hard veggies like raw carrots, we found that you had to at least halve the thicker pieces of carrot, or cut 1 to 1 1/2 inch chunks. But the chopper is sturdy and cut them well. Under normal use, the plastic teeth of the chopping arm are small enough that they should not come into contact with the metal chopping blade. However, because we initially used pieces of carrot that were too large, I did notice a single small shaving of plastic that had ended up in the chopped food, because it had undoubtedly grazed the blade while we are chopping. Obviously you don't want to get that in the food, so be sensible about the size and hardness of the food you are chopping. If the blade doesn't easily slice it, the pieces are too large.

The next step was steaming, which was quick and easy in the microwave, just add a couple of teaspoons of water...don't forget to remove the metal blade, close the lid, and a couple of minutes later you have steamed veggies that can be dumped into your grinder and processed into healthy and fresh baby food. The grinder requires a good deal of downward pressure (though this depends on the texture of the food also), but produces a nice even puree. A minor detail we noticed both with this grinder, and our old one, is that a small amount of juice tends to leak out around the base. The rubber washer stops most, but not all the liquid from coming out. So consider your working surface. The white plastic steamer basket stained almost immediately from the carrot juice, but no harm done.

Finally, the storage trays are basically a glorified ice cube tray with a cover, but makes for a compact and organized way of storing your baby food, instead of multiple mixed jars hidden in every corner of your freezer. Overall this is a handy little set, and is an economical and healthy way to feed your baby!

Nuby Nibbler

Nuby Nibbler Food Vegetable, Colors May VaryI don't use jarred food or purees for my little one at all. He either gets foods he can pick up & chew on, or I put food for him in this. He's had all manner of food through the mesh feeder, including "mesh tacos" where I put all the ingredients in a standard taco right into the feeder for him. Frozen fruit is his all time favorite though.

He Loves it. Yes, the handle took him a few times to get used to, and sometimes he does hold onto the mesh, but he handles it ok now that he's used to it & this is by far the least messy method I've ever employed to get food from the table to a babies belly.

We tried the munchkin version of a mesh feeder & it sucked. The handle was easier to hold, but more awkward for him to figure out how to point it in the right direction. Thats not what sucked however, what sucked was that while it looked like the mesh ought to come out, an attempt to remove it for a proper cleaning showed that was not the case. I broke it trying to get it out because I could not get at all the nooks & crannies of the mesh. It was either maybe ruin it trying to get it apart, or toss it in the trash cause I couldn't clean it anyway. I love how easy the mesh is to remove for cleaning.

Yes, the mesh holds on to bits of food well, I boil mine once a week or so to make sure I'm getting everything out of it.

This is such a great idea and big help in allowing our daughter to feed herself and get more food in her tummy than on her clothes. We cut up bananas and our daughter held on to the nibbler like a spoon and sucked out most of the food. Looking forward to trying other foods. The downside is that it is a huge pain to clean so I might go and get two more so that I can alternate and use the dishwasher. I would have given it more stars if it had been easier to clean.

We have 2 of these. I like that it's hard for our little one to get openhe just can't. I have no problem with it, just push in on the texture part and twist. It seems pretty sturdy with no small parts. The problem I have with it is the netting is so long he just holds that instead of the handle, so he's covered in whatever food is in the netting. Avocado, not such a big deal, but apples are sticky and he was a mess. Maybe another brand has a shorter netting but I haven't checked.

My son loved to suck on watermelon, pears, cantaloupe, etc. It was a great stepping stone as we entered into the world of solids!

Want Nuby Nibbler Discount?

I bought this after a friend told me she bought one for her infant. My daughter went straight to solids when I tried to start her on baby food and this would have saved a lot of mess and crankyness. I bought this for my newest addition. It makes a great first time fruit taster ad great for teething as well! Put a frozen strawberry or banana in there and let them naw away! I would definitely get this as a gift shower gift as well! Very great idea!

Teething Bling Pendant - Nursing Mom Jewelry

Teething Bling Pendant - Nursing Mom JewelryI bought this as a nursing necklace to occupy my son's hands while we nurse. He loves it and it's very easy to redirect him when he starts to pinch. He also likes to chew on it when he's not nursing.

I got this for my son at 9 months who mouths EVERYTHING. He is also very active and protests being held at times because he wants to be down and moving. This keeps him nice and still when I need to hold him. Doesn't look nasty when wet but he loves the string probably more than the wood. So that does get wet and feel weird cold and wet on my neck.

My daughter (5mo) likes the wood teether, but she can't get it in her mouth as well as the toy ring teether, also from Barin Toys. If it was shaped like the teethers on the rope ring I think it would be better and also needs a longer string.

Green to Grow Ecosystem Blue Whale Formula Stacker

Green to Grow Ecosystem Blue Whale Formula StackerI never really used this for formula, but rather to put multiple snacks in the diaper bag. They are easy for a toddler to hold.

I've been looking for a narrow formula dispenser with a spout that will fit inside my son's narrow-necked bottles. I was excited when I found this online and couldn't wait for it to arrive. When it did, I was still excited, until I finally got to wash, dry, and prepare my son's formula. A big plus is that each section can easily fit 4 scoops of formula; I can fit in 6 scoops, but have to carefully tap so the milk settles. Unfortunately, the purple part makes a really squeaky sound when attached/detached from either the blue stack or the orange cap. Also, the cover (which I love, by the way; keeps the spout clean!) is a little loose. I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that, so you can open it with one hand, but I'm just extra careful when we bring this out to make sure it doesn't accidentally get opened in the bag. Still thinking if I should get the Green to Grow Ecosystem Sea Turtle Snack Stacker.

I bought this as well as the snack stacker since they are interchangeable. I use these for snacks, leftover baby food, and most of all formula. It is nice because you can stack as many cups as you need on here so if you have a long day out and you need more than three compartments, you can do that with these cups. They are great and I highly recommend.

Sassy Baby Food Pantry Organizer

Sassy Baby Food Pantry OrganizerI would recommend this. In fact, I am about to order a second of these. It helps sort the jars and lets you know what you are about to run out of. I am ordering a second now that our baby is eating more different types. (I am planning on having one for fruits and juices and one for vegetables.) It does not feel solid when you take it out of the box but once you snap it together (which is a cinch) it works well and is appropriately sturdy.

Loved this organizer! Takes up a small footprint on the counter and I was able to keep all my daughters food sorted and organized. As she got older and had more of a selection, I P-touched the rows to state breakfast, lunch, dinner, fruits, and veggies. It was helpful when I had someone else watching her as they would know what to feed her. It was also helpful at a quick glance to know exactly what I was low on and needed to replenish. Would definitely buy and recommend to a friend. I used this for Earth's Best Baby Food and all stages fit well.

I like the fact that I can use this to put my baby food on, however with the weight, its hard to turn and see all the food that is there.

To any new parents, this is a great way to see what jar foods you are running low on and need to buy more of. They only eat jar food for so long so have somewhere to store this or even a friend to give it too after the first year. Pretty easy to put together although taking it apart was a little harder. The spinning action is great. makes it convenient to put anywhere, even in corners.

We have limited kitchen space, and this is perfect. Keeps all the baby food neatly on the counter, we have it all organized by food type, so we can easily see what we have. Goes together easy, and is sturdy once assembled. Love, love, love it.

Sassy Baby Powdered Formula Dispenser, Colors May Vary

Sassy Baby Powdered Formula Dispenser, Colors May Varythe only feature of the product anyone cares about is the ability to separate the powderand keep it that way.

it could not do that.

failure, my friends.

I really feel this product was a waste of my money.

The dispenser I purchased had compartments that only held 2 scoops of powder formula, which made a total of 4 oz bottle when added to water. Unfortunately, my baby outgrew 4 oz before she reached 3 months, making this dispenser useless to me.

I also had trouble getting the power out of the compartments. When I attempted to empty it into a bottle of water not all of the formula came out. The shape of the dispenser prevented it from emptying completely. The lid should be somewhat rounded to direct the formula out the hole. Instead it is flat, trapping powder contents before making it out the hole. Shaking & taping the dispenser didn't help.

I bought another dispenser similar to this one that works much better. The inside dividers are removable leaving it a cup. They say it converts to a "snack cup", but I fill it with dry formula & scoop it out as needed. It works much better than this dispenser & will be useful a lot longer!

So far I love this dispenser. It's easy to use and takes up little room in my diaper bag. It's also pre-measured so if my heands are not as clean as I like, I don'y have to touch the scoop.
