Vermont Organics DHA Milk Based Organic Infant Formula - 6 pk

Vermont Organics DHA Milk Based Organic Infant Formula - 6 pkI used the soy version of this formula with my twins (soy due to milk allergies) and am now using this milk version for my third son. He enjoys the taste and has no issue drinking his formula. I make my bottles for the day ahead of time and unlike some other brands, the milk separates during the day requiring a gentle shake before feeding. This does not bother me as breast milk also separates when it sits for a few hours. Makes you wonder what the other brands are putting in theirs to make it not separate, honestly. Love that it is organic, love that it contains all the necessary nutrients plus DHA, and love that it is from a smaller company.

Really nice product. I'm happy I won't have to feed my little guy unnecessary pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics which are used to grow the crops and feed the cows which contribute ingredients to most nonorganic formulas. The ingredient list and nutritional profile is very similar to Earth's Best organic formula. I can't exactly say why I went with Vermont Organics instead -maybe because they seem like a smaller company -but we've had no problems with it so far.

One thing to keep in mind is that, likely a result of Vermont Organics being a smaller company, the formula isn't available in nearly as many places as Earth's Best. You can always get it at Amazon with free shipping, though, so as long as you order more when you're down to your last can or two you'll be fine.

Piyo Piyo Slip Proof 3 Section Dining Plate

Piyo Piyo Slip Proof 3 Section Dining PlateReally well made. I love the three compartments. Not sure if my highchair tray had some residue on it but my son pulled this plate up three times!

Our son is starting to like to have things separated so he can try each one by itself. This plate is great for that. The suction does not always work great... but I think it is par for the course. It's cute and easy to clean.

The suction base comes right off the plate and it also doesn't stick to the high chair try at all. Don't bother with this plate!

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts - Peach

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts - PeachI was super excited to see these at Safeway for only $3. I have seen them at other places for as much as $4.50 and the competitor, Happy Melts Yogurt Melts, on sale for $5. I have to say, go with the Happy Melts version. The Gerber ones lack the flavor and texture of the Happy Melts version and are actually kind of chalky and bland. Happy Melts are all organic and are smaller, which is better for your baby and for you. I prefer the strawberry flavor but the wildberry is also quite good. I think the way they melt in your mouth is quite similar to astronaut ice cream.

It was a really yummy treat. it melts in your mouth and the size is just right for him. Unfortunately, he got rashes from this. Apparently, he is allergic to yogurt =(

Similac NeoSure Infant Formula Powder with Iron, 13.1-Ounces (Pack of 6)

Similac NeoSure Infant Formula Powder with Iron, 13.1-OuncesMy baby was born at 34 weeks and was only 4 1/2 lbs. She spent 22 days in the NICU at the hospital, and this was the formula they recommended. By the time she left the hospital, she weighed 5 lbs, 5 oz! Now she is 5 months old and weighs 14 lbs and is healthy and happy as can be!

The only criticism I have is that it can be hard on babies' tummies. I had to cut her Neosure amount in half and supplement the other half with Similac's Sensitive formula. Since I started that (at about 2 1/2 months) she has felt MUCH better and she hasn't missed a beat in her weight gain and healthy check-ups!

The price per can works out to be higher than what it is in CVS/Walgreens stores. They are selling it for 14 dollars only. Why you guys are asking for 92 dollars for 6-pack, which means it will be around 15.3 dollars?

Buy Similac NeoSure Infant Formula Powder with Iron, 13.1-Ounces (Pack of 6) Now

My baby was on this from 0-9 months as she was a premie. She did very well on it. It has 22 cals per ounce as opposed to 20 cals per ounce like the other formulae. It is a bit more expensive but was worth it.

In October of 2011 my wife and I became the parents of twins; a boy and a girl. They were 6 weeks premature and had to spend two weeks in our local NICU. Similac Neosure was the formula that both of them could stomach. They initially tried other brands but one or the other couldn't hold them down. Well, almost 6 months later and we're still feeding them Similac NeoSure. The product seems fine I guess I have to give it the majority of the credit for my once 3lbs babies now weighing between 12-13 pounds!

What I don't like about this product is the small can that it comes in. The pack of 6 is the best value for your dollar but it still doesn't go very far. My wife and I buy about one case a week, that's nearly 400 dollars a month in formula!

A tip to parents of multiples; we make our formula once a day and that will last through the day. We pour in 58 ounces of water and add 28 scoops of NeoSure (both of us hate the scooping part). We use a large blender for our storage container. This makes mixing and storage that much easier! Good luck out there!

I've had two babies in the NICU in two different states. Both hospitals, which were the best in the region, used this formula. This is the best formula for your preemie baby, period.

Don't mess around with price when it comes to this type of stuff, just buy the best. The prices on this tend to hang out at the department store level, sometimes lower, sometimes a bit higher. It's worth the time savings to get it sent to your door in a nice sealed six-pack box. You know no one messed with it.

Freshfoods Fill & Freeze Pops

Freshfoods Fill & Freeze PopsThese molds are very popular with my 15 month old who is a huge fan of the yougurt / mango mixture that she is treated to on special occasions. I however, have issues with the great lack of durability that this product displays. The problem is that the mold base can be separated so that you can pull one pop out at a time and the plastic that is supposed to hold the four units together breaks easily. All of the links between the four molds broke the very first time that I attempted to separate them so now they don't go back together. I wish that I could get my money back but I have already used them. Due to this unfortunate experience, I will not be purchasing any more products from the Annabel Karmel collection.

So I bought these to help relieve teething for my 11-month old son and they work great for that purpose. We fill them up with fruit purees and they freeze quickly into the perfect size popsicle for a little one. The serving size is great for a toddler (or for a guiltily enjoyed adult snack when you unmold one and the kid doesn't want it) and the handles are just the right size for a toddler, although occasionally my kid ends up with the handle in his mouth and the popsicle in his hand. Unless you REALLY torque the popsicle on the way out, they stay intact when you remove them from the molds, which is nice. They're easy to clean we've put the parts in the dishwasher. The only minor design flaws are that while the popsicle molds come apart into individual servings (a plus,) they are hard to snap back together, and also a tiny amount of popsicle ends up stuck in the mold when you're eating them. This may be endemic to homemade popsicle molds though, so take that criticism with a grain of salt.

I bought these molds because of my wonderful experience with other Annabel Karmel products. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with it. The size of each pop is just perfect for my eighteen month old and the handle is just right for my little one to hold on to. My problem is with the base, which unnecessarily comes apart into four separate molds, but breaks really easily. Mine broke the first time I tried to pull a pop out. I regret not having considered other people's reviews seriously, since many people had already experienced this issue. I just thought it had been bad luck, but by own experience I can say, it's just a poor design and it's not worth the money. I'm very disappointed and I would recommend other people to look into other brands before considering this one.

These popsicle molds are awesome. Perfect for little hands. My daughter was 7 months when we got these and she could hold on no problem. We use the organic fruit pouches to fill. One of the PLUM brand stage one fruit packets fills four popscicles with no waste. Quick, easy and healthy. Highly recommend!

We have been using this since our daughter started solids. I put any type of liquid baby food (fruit, vegetables, yogurt, combination meals...) in the mold. Then, my daughter is able to eat the food on her own, and she loves it. It is a great way for me to get her to eat a variety of healthy foods, while making it so that I am free to eat my own meal. The smaller containers of baby food (like Gerber levels 1 and 2, and their yogurt) are the perfect size to fill the mold and make four popsicles. Level 3 fits perfectly into two molds to make eight popsicles. The small size of the popsicles are perfect. They are easy for baby to handle, and there isn't a lot of waste if it isn't finished (or if it is dropped). The mold also stands up nicely in the freezer when the four pieces are kept together. Just don't try to separate the pieces while frozen. (I snapped the plastic this way, but it still works.) The popsicles come out nicely when ran under hot water. I ended up buying three of these so that I can always have popsicles ready to go.

Similac Advance Early Shield Infant Formula with Iron, Ready to Feed, 8-Fluid Ounces (Pack of 24)

Similac Advance Early Shield Infant Formula with Iron, Ready to Feed, 8-Fluid OuncesFirst off, the bottles DO NOT contain BPA. The lids are coated in an epoxy that does, but there is another layer over that to help protect the BPA from getting to the formula. I actually called Similac's parent company to verify this.

Yes they are expensive, but I get coupons all the time from Similac and use those to buy these bottles. They are wonderful for camping, fishing, or any other time sanitation may be an issue. All you have to do is attach your own nipple and ring. Much less to wash.

Though they are really not made to do it, you can punch out the center from the ring and put in a standard nipple. It seems like it will leak, but it doesn't. Then you can just throw the whole thing away.

I always have a couple of these in my diaper bag! We bought the case for our recent vacation and they worked out so great! No washing bottles at the hotel or needing a refrigerator or cooler. I reccomend that you buy a 3 pack of those super cheap evenflo bottles just to use the nipple and ring. We bought a pack of these for $2.99 and use the rings/nipples everytime since our Avent ones don't fit. Love these ready to feed bottles!!

I buy formula with coupons, or find a deal online, Check out your local stores and find the best price, then you know how to shop online, and what a good price per box is. Our daughter preferred Similac over the other leading brand. She became constipated with powdered formula, so we stuck to Ready To Feed, when she was not breast feeding.

This product is great to throw in the diaper bag for on the go feedings. I bought it from Amazon and then read the reviews it can be purchased cheaper at Target. It is $9.99 for a 6 pack at Target, so Amazon is cheaper by $4, plus you get the convenience of it shipping to your house. If you register on Similac's website, they will send you $5 vouchers which can be used in store. With the $5 vouchers, each 6 pack $5, bringing the Target total to $20 instead of the Amazon's $36. Also, I took the advice of another poster and bought the cheap Evenflo bottles to reuse the nipples ($3 for a 3 pack). Definitely a great suggestion as the disposables are $1 each.

Gerber 3rd Foods Nutritious Dinners 18 Pack;6 Oz Each.

Gerber 3rd Foods Nutritious Dinners 18 Pack;6 Oz Each.I ordered this because amazon is amazing with delivering their products. All products are usually delivered by UPS. This one was delivered by Fed Ex and the bottom jars of the package where completly shattered! I had to wash glass off of the food that I was going to feed my child and am extremely disappointed. I love ordering from amazon, but unfortunatly everytime my package comes from Fed Ex it is messed up. The box is damaged, they throw the merchendice into my gate, and I am very dissapointed with their service. I feel you should not include Fed Ex for your delieveries bc they have horrible customer service. They do not care about what they delivier as long as they get the job done. It sucks

By the way, my gate is always unlocked and I do not own a dog or anything that would deter them from gently setting down a package. If I did own a dog, the outside of my gate would have atleat a sign.

Vilac 7 Piece Wood Fruit with Cutting Board and Pretend Knife

Vilac 7 Piece Wood Fruit with Cutting Board and Pretend KnifeI love cooking and I sometimes let him cut real fruit with me.

I wanted to play some kitchen toys with my son (20 months old).

My son always plays with cars, trucks and trains, so I thought he wouldn't be interested.

Surprisingly, he started pretending as if he is eating them ( He actually bit them a few times).

Now he is 21 months old. He started putting them in a zip lock bag, bring them to me,

then he shared the fruit with me. Now he can cut them and put them together again.

It is not really easy to cut them with the knife that comes with it,

but he manage to cut them(or you can help them), so I think it is not a huge issue.

Sometimes the paint comes off when you cut with the knife, otherwise, it is very durable.

The size is very nice. If your baby is still eating toys, then you probably want to wait until they are done with it.

**I have never looked Haba or Plan Toys food, so I can't really tell the difference.

YES! I am very happy with this purchase :)

Gerber 2nd Foods Tender Harvest Organic Green Beans, 2-Count, 3.5-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 16)

Gerber 2nd Foods Tender Harvest Organic Green Beans, 2-Count, 3.5-Ounce TubsMy baby loves these organic baby foods. But Amazon is priced way to high. You can pick these up at Target for $1.44 for a 2 pack of 3.5 oz. Thats only $11.52 for 8 2 packs, Amazon wants more then double that.

From the Gerber website:

BPA is not used in making the plastic cups for GERBER® pureed baby food products. It is important to note that even products with the number 7 plastic are not made with BPA, (the number 7 refers to recycling information, not the presence of BPA).

I saw on another site that the number 7 is a catch-all and doesn't necessarily contain BPA. In Gerber's case, the 7 refers to a mix of number 1 and number 2 plastics, so it can't be recycled.

With all the recent news regarding harmful chemicals leaching from plastic containers into food, I was shocked to see the recycle number 7 on the bottom of these plastic containers. Number 7 labeled plastic is the worst plastic you can possibly use. It is being recommended by health officials to avoid products packaged with these containers. This story was aired on Good Morning America. I had just purchased about 20 packages of this baby food for my daughter and immediately threw every one away. This makes me very concerned that Gerber is not fixing this problem.

green sprouts Sippy Cup, 6.5 Ounce

green sprouts Sippy Cup, Pink, 6.5 OunceMy 15 month old loves this sippy cup. I ended up taking the handles off though, because it caused occasional leaks (why only 4 stars). But without it it works wonderfully. It's a safe, durable, and a very cute product. Would buy again.

Excellent cups for all ages of sipping. Everything from Green Sprouts is great and made in the USA. Always good quality and last and last. Have bought many for our grand daughter from first sippy cups to rough and tumble toddlers ones. Easy to clean too.

Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit To Go, 3.2-Ounce Packages (Pack of 18)

Buddy Fruits Mango / Passion Fruit / Banana, Pure Blended Fruit To Go, 3.2-OunceMy kids love these and I'm a big Amazon person, but even with the auto-ship, they are cheaper at Wal-Mart, at .88. My store keeps them by the fruit, which can be confusing, so just look there. But for go-go-squeeze, Amazon is the bomb. I have had these on Subscribe and Save for over a year...and the 10 year old likes them; her 18 mo old sissy seriously can't leave home without those!! And my elder child says go go squeeze is better.

I love these Buddy Fruits. I throw them in my five-year old's lunch and he eats them every day (picky eater, too).

I was hoping to find them on Amazon cheaper because they are a dollar a pouch at my grocery store. Unfortunately, Amazon is still more expensive. Too bad because I have found some great deals and wanted to find a bulk source.

My kids (1 and 3) really like these in all flavors; I like how easy they are on the go. I only wish Amazon offered them at the same price Walmart does: 80 cents a piece! It would be convenient to order them in bulk from Amazon, but for the price, I'll keep buying them individually at Walmart.

These wonderful fruits are of a consistency somewhere between apple sauce and baby food. I found this particular flavor to be exactly like the little cinnamon and applesauce cups that I often have at home.

While these are more expensive (even in the store) than the little fruit cups, they have a perfect use ... Traveling! As any parent with a child knows, kids, spoons, and liquids are not a good mix. Spills happen! Since these include only fruit, juice, and natural flavorings, they make a nice snack without added sugar.

However, having recently made an extended trip by myself, I discovered they are wonderful in a different way. They make a great boost for the driver as well. And they aren't half bad, even when warm! I am a diabetic, so the 15 grams of carb are a perfect complement to my needs for a snack. I kept a couple next to me, and they were perfect when my blood sugar was dropping and the next rest stop was far away. My only problem using them this way involved getting the lids off!

this product was way too expensive. I thought that by ordering it online it would be cheaper. But I think that actually the store that I had bought it from was cheaper than ordering it on the computer. I was very disappointed.

Mother Ease Training Pants - Small 20-30lbs - Asia

Mother Ease Training Pants - Small 20-30lbs - AsiaI tried a number of different waterproof training pants and these were probably my favorite. They seemed to fit a little better and are a little softer than the Bummis training pants and they hold more than the Imse Vimse training pants. The Imse Vimse were my least favorite as they were the least absorbant and her pants would typically get wet even when changed right away. They were the least "puffy" but given we used cloth diapers, that really didn't matter to us. The Mother-Ease will typically hold one wet accident, but will get her pants wet if not changed right away. The Potty Patty ones worked at least as well, perhaps a bit better, but unfortunately my daughter did not like the print (much prefers the cute animals on these ones) so never wanted to wear them. Thus we use those as a back-up. Currently she is in regular panties during the day and we are using these at night. We do have to put the gerber training pants on under them to give enough absorbancy overnight. However, this seems to have worked so I have not had to go back and buy overnight training pants. She is on the lower end of the weight limit for size so there is plenty of room to put the other panties under them. Overall, expensive but for us worth the price.

Boon Catch Bowl with Spill Catcher

Boon Catch Bowl with Spill Catcher,Lite Purp/RedI had high hopes for the Boon Catch Bowl. Love the modern, clean look and happy colors. It is well-sized at the "catcher" feature does help keep things a bit cleaner for messy eaters. But there a a few drawbacks that ultimately brought down my review to three stars:

1) The description is "dishwasher safe." Be careful-even in the top rack, with heat off, this bowl will warp.

2) The "flexible" catcher can work to limit messes-but the fact that is is so bouncy/flexible means that it sort of invites kiddos to play, flip food into the air, etc.

3) The cather and bowl are two separate plastic pieces that are melded together. After a few washers (again, in top rack), I noticed some separation along the connection. This is an invitation for germs and looks very unattractive.

4) The colors are BRIGHT. MUCH brigher than in the photos. Make sure you know what you are getting!

5) The suction works well on a table, but not well on highchairs. It is very easy for most children to lift this bowl.

Overall, its an okay bowl. Just okay.

I bought this bowl because I wanted my son to be able to feed himself without being able to throw his bowl on the floor. For some reason, this will suction well to my glass table, but not his high chair. I have a Fisher Price Space Saver high chair, and the suction is just not there. I have even tried wetting the bottom of the bowl. It made no difference.

Buy Boon Catch Bowl with Spill Catcher Now

I bought the Green Sprouts divided plate and the Munchkin Stay-Put bowls at the same time, and the Boon ones have the best suction by far. In looking at the description for the green sprouts plate again, it actually says "non-slip" which I guess suggests that it doesn't actually STICK, which isn't so helpful with a young toddler learning to self-feed. The Munchkin bowls do claim to suction, but I've only gotten them to work well on certain surfaces. The Munchkins don't stick well on our plastic OXO high chair or most restaurant tables, though I did get them to stick well on a metal table. I did, however, appreciate that they have a lid for each bowl. But unless you have a metal table in your kitchen, in which case any suction bowl will likely work, I'd recommend the Boon bowl. Plus it has a cute design!

Feeding babies and teaching toddlers to feed themselves is an arduous task. Until the baby has some teeth, or has serious resolve, most of the food is pureed and requires a bowl.

That is all seems fine and you imagine yourself lovingly spooning the nutritious puree into the rosy mouth of your clean and cooing child.

The reality is that most kids let you feed them about 5 times and then they learn to grab the feeding utensil and thwart our every effort. In combination, they lack the requisite gross and fine motor skills for feeding themselves until they are closer to 2 years old. You have to cede the spoon and the reality is that the bowlful of puree will end up on the floor/rug/chair/parental lap. Or, if your kid has a good arm, it will end up on all four things.

The bowl needs to resist sweeping arm motions and stay in place as your cherub learns to scoop up their food with a spoon.

You need a bowl with a suction cup. This is the right bowl. Buy more than one. Wash them well and push them onto the tray of your child's high chair firmly. They will peel it off now and then, but most of the time they won't.

With this bowl there will be a bit less food on the floor/kid and high chair--this means 5 more minutes of whatever great activity you enjoy versus scrubbing down for the next meal. You may even achieve the lofty goal of eating (six or seven bites) with your child if they can't immediately dump the meal you just prepared for them.

We got gifted a plate with a suction cup. Unfortunately the seal was cracked, so it never stuck very well but I liked the idea. I did some research on Amazon and found this one. It sticks so well! I think we could've done without the extra food-catcher, but it's great to give my 16-month old son his snacks in. They don't all end up on the floor (some still do though, haha).
