OXO Tot Divided Feeding Dish

OXO Tot Divided Feeding Dish, GreenThis is my favorite feeding dish without question. The dish grips onto the table top very well and it is very nice looking!

The dish comes in three parts; base dish + lid + curved ring to help scoop food for toddlers. The three parts easily come apart for washing in a dishwasher (top rack).

Several minor comments... Because the lid secures onto the base dish, it doesn't provide enough room inside the dish to fit ice cube sized home made frozen foods. I think either the lid should have been designed to go on top of the ring, or the dish could have been designed deeper to accommodate the ice cubes.

Having said all of this, I own three feeding dish fro OXO TOT and I use it daily. They are my favorite. If you have a baby who loves to feed themselves, this product is a must have!

I was very excited about this product and all its features and was willing to give it a try even though it was an expensive container. I take my toddler to a babysitter every day and I pack her food, so I am always looking for good containers with lids. This product fell short. The container is small, and holds very little food. Maybe this is good for a 4-6 month old baby but certainly not suitable for a lunch for a 12 month old. I freeze my homemade baby food in ice cub trays, and you cannot even close the lid because it is not deep enough for an ice cub. However, my biggest complaint about this container is that the lid does not actually stay on. It will not close tight and her food spilled out on several occasions. We use this at home, but can no longer trust taking it in a lunch bag for outings or day care. On a plus side, the gripping bottom is pretty neat, and I do like the rim feature, it makes it easier to get the food out with a spoon.

Another great OXO product.

The bowl comes with a cover (not pictured) that fits over and protects any leftovers while traveling (no spills!) or in the fridge. The guard piece comes off for easy cleaning.

The bowl itself has a nice rubbery bottom that keeps it on the table, and the division in between the two sides makes it very easy to hold while keeping little hands out. The round sides help get the last couple of spoonfuls.

A little pricier than some of the take and toss types you'll find, but it's worth it.

This dish is perfect for beginning to feed solids to my baby. Its the perfect size, doesnt slip and is very easy to wash. Its great for one side oatmeal/rice and the other fruit/veggie. We use it every single day, I just ordered another one!

As other people have said, the container does not hold a lot of food... BUT this container holds the PERFECT amount for my 6 month old daughter. In other, larger containers, her small portions are wasted by sticking to the sides.

I use one side for cereal and the other for fruit/veggies. I currently freeze my baby food in ice cube trays, and I put 1-3 frozen cubes (per side) into the OXO Tot Divided Feeding Dish to unthaw in the fridge. The dish is BPA free and has a lid to keep the food fresh while it is unthawing.

My dish is always dirty from being used so much, so I just purchased another one. Even thought is a little pricey I highly recommend getting this. It is much better to have a few dishes that you love rather than a cupboard full of junk. I intend to use this for snacks when my daughter is older.

Earth's Best Organic 2nd Pears & Mangos, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best Organic 2nd Pears & Mangos, 4 Ounce JarsAnything applesauce-based you can usually get a great deal in the store and combine fruit flavors yourself. But pears and mangos take just enough extra work that I appreciated the ease of getting this one through Amazon.

My twin 10-month olds turned out to be quite cooperative when it came time to eat this flavor brand! Now I get it by subscription and they'd eat it instead of vegetables if they had a choice. It is a consistency similar to applesauce, so you have to serve it in a similar way (it's runny). I have the subscription to the Earth's Best Rice Cereal, so I always have plenty of that to mix in with it if I want.

Ingredients per the label: Organic pears, organic mangos, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid.

This has 70 calories, 100% vitamin A, 45% vitamin C and 2% iron. I've been informed that the percentage of daily needs met is based on an adult.

Love these so much. I freeze them and eat them like a sherbert. Nothing freezes up as well and comes out so smooth and wonderful. Plus the glass jars are so much better for the environment than the plastic squish bottles everyone uses now.

I know this is baby food, but I do like to know what my baby is eating. So, I always taste test new baby foods before I feed it to her. Now, there's some baby foods that are higher on the disgusting level of tasteless mush and others that are lower.

This particular brand is actually quite good. The flavors are fresh and fruity, and without the taste of anything too artificial (though there's still that citric acid tang). I find that preservative "tang" taste to be pronounced in some baby foods I've tried, but it's not as bad here, particularly in the fruits. I don't know why, but I appreciate it (even if my baby doesn't seem to notice).

The Pears & Mangos is by far the tastiest, in my adult opinion, though my baby seems to enjoy the apple blueberry and apricots. They definitely taste lower in sugar than some of the other baby foods we've tried, which is awesome too.

She did not enjoy the winter squash, sweet potato, or any of the other vegetable/meat/grain combinations, including the banana oatmeal (and I have to concur with her opinion, I think citric acid was again used as a preservative and it added a rather unpleasant taste into those mixes).

So, I say 5 stars to the fruit combinations (pretty easy to get baby to eat them), but would not recommend the vegetable/meat combinations (was actually easier to get baby to eat steamed vegetables ground up in my food processor).

Earth's Best makes the BEST organic baby food ever! I'm a first-time mom and this product was recommended to me by several friends. What I like most about them is they taste very fresh and high-quality. A lot of them even smell fresh too. My son doesn't like the fruit combinations very much, but the vegetable variety are his favorites. I will continue using this brand for as long as possible. While a little bit pricier than other brands, but I think it's worth it for your little precious one.

Baby loved it! It's a very attractive color and smells so delicious, I was tempted to eat it myself (though I didn't so can't say how it tastes). Very smooth puree, I may buy extra and try using it to make fancy cocktails or as a sauce for desserts!

Earth's Best Training Pants 2T 3T, 29 Count

Earth's Best Training Pants 2T-3T, 29 CountEven though they seem so much like seventh generation, I just like these better. The sizing has worked better for my girls and I like that they have the pattern that fades/blurs to show if they are wet, because sometimes it is hard to tell. Honestly, I have only used these for naps and overnight as I do naked time and actual panties for training and my girls have day trained by 2. Can't say they never leaked overnight, but hardly ever. I like that I can find this smaller size readily at TRU, but the fact that I can now buy them on Amazon rocks! Thanks Earth's Best for wising up and offering this product somewhere else other than TRU since they can't seem to figure out how to stock them.

My son has extremely sensitive skin other diapers irritate him instantly. We used pampers sensitive diapers when he was a baby, but needed a pull up option now that he is potty training. These work great! they are a great fit, easy on and off, and do not irritate his sensitive skin! Would highly recommend!

Munchkin Silicone Feeding Set, Colors May Vary

Munchkin Silicone Feeding Set, Colors May VaryWhen starting baby food, it's just one time a day so I don't need many spoons nor bowls.

This bowl-and-spoon set is right for beginning baby food.

The bowl is non-slip and the spoon is soft enough for babies.

I would like to buy another set in the future.

I but this set for every new parent I can. I had this for my son when he was just starting to eat baby food. At two, he still uses it for cereal. We can take it when we travel and it is super-easy to clean.

I absolutely CANNOT STAND the sound of spoons scraping against the bottom of bowls and this silicon bowl set keeps me from suffering! It is easy to get all of the baby food out because the silicon bowl is flexible enough to let you get every last bite, but it is sturdy enough to keep its shape.

I like the silicon vs. hard plastic spoons because I don't have to worry about accidentally ramming her sensitive teething gums with anything hard while feeding. The bowl is great too. It doesn't suction onto the tray or anything, but it does have more traction then a plastic or ceramic bowl and stays put better. It's also a great size for a 1-4 ounce snack.

The only negative is that one of the spoons I've gotten cracked after only a week or two of use (the spoon part itself, not the handle). It didn't break but it was a big enough crack that I had to throw it away out of fear that it could break off and choke our LO. (Just for reference, we have a very mild mannered eater, she hadn't treated this spoon roughly in any way.)

Even with the crack, I have bought more of these spoons because I can't find anything better.

Earth's Best Chlorine Free Baby Wipes Refill, 72-Count (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best Chlorine Free Baby Wipes Refill, 72-CountI checked the ingredients of those wipes and Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate is a very controversial preservative. Has the potential to be contaminated with formaldehyde, and can also break down over the time into formaldehyde, a known carcinogen, toxin and irritant that is rated as a high hazard by the EWG.

We have tried a lot of brands of chlorine free wipes and these are our favorite. They are soft and strong but do seem a little bit thinner and smaller than brands like Huggies. They work just as well, though, and I think the texture is more gentle. The wipes at the bottom of the package have a tendency to be a little bit soapy but flipping the package upside down when not using it solves that problem. The Earth's Best reusable container is crap. We bought a cheap package of wipes at the grocery store and use that container with these refills. The resealable plastic tab on the top of this refill package doesn't last as long as the package does so a reusable container is a must to keep them from drying out.

I tried these wipes and the Seventh Generation wipes, trying to find the best product and the best deal! The Seventh Generation wipes, while cheaper per wipe, are MUCH smaller and dryer and so you have to use more. The Earth's Best wipes are larger and wetter. I do have a bit of a time getting only ONE wipe out at a time, though. The only thing I loved about the Seventh Generation wipes was that they were so easy to get out of the container, only one came out at a time.

But, I would still choose Earth's Best wipes over Seventh Generation!

Diapers? That's a different story!

WARNING!!! Shouldn't be called natural.

I used these diapers for the first 6 months of my baby's life. My sister recommended them because they were "natural". Immediately I had a horrible bout of eczema on my right hand (the hand that constantly used the diaper wipes). My hand had large bleeding cracks and was constantly itchy. My mother also does a lot of changing (with Earth's Best wipes) and also had horrible eczema on her right hand. At first we figured it was because our hand was always wet from washing, etc., but I started reading about the ingredients and was extremely disappointed to read that one ingredient in the Earth's Best Diaper wipes is "sodium hydroxymethylglycinate". This ingredient is a broad spectrum antimicrobial and is linked to contact dermatitis and can release formaldehyde.I have stopped using these wipes and my hands have cleared up. I can't believe they market their wipes as eczema friendly....they CAUSE eczema!

I don't recommend buying these wipes.

Not liking these. They're very thick and so moist they leave a sudsy residue on my baby. I'm canceling my subscribe and save to this item and waiting for the "old" Seventh Generation wipes to come back. (They will be back in production and available in about 5 months.)

Earth's Best, Organic Whole Grain Mixed Grain Cereal, Apple Sweet Potato, 8 oz (227 g) (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best, Organic Whole Grain Mixed Grain Cereal, Apple Sweet Potato, 8 ozMy daughter loves this product! I mix it in her formula. She's not thrilled about veggies but I use this to disguise the taste and she can't tell the difference. I love Earth's Best baby food. It's great!

I like giving my son (now 14 months) a variety of flavors throughout the week, and this is one in the arsenal of guaranteed-to-be-eaten foods. He has loved sweet potatoes & apples since he was 6 months & starting solids. I give him this and other Earth's Best cereals (Banana, mixed whole grains, etc) combined with whole milk, yogurt, wheat germ, etc. THE KEY is he's not fond of his green veggies, but I can mix pureed asparagus, broccolli, spinach, etc. with the sweet potato Earth's Best and he's none the wiser & loves it. For the multi-grian, I just add pureed pears, banana, etc with the pureed veggie to sweeten it up a bit (I get the Plum Baby purees for travelanother great way to "hide" the veggies-, or make purees at home in the blender & freeze). This flavor cereal is not overly sweet at all (I've tasted it, since I wouldn't expect my son to eat anything I think is yucky-tasting). I suspect that the other reviewer might've been jumping the gun on the solids, hence the poor response. I've read that babies have more tastebuds than adults, so I can see their little palates getting overwhelmed by new flavors, but this cereal is *way* less sweet than any jarred banana or other fruit baby food, to give you an idea.

My sweet little darling started coughing and throwing up for the very first time after a few days i gave her this cereal. Probably because it is too sweet for an infant and the sugars are very high for them to tolerate.

Gerber Graduates Fruit & Veggie Melts - Truly Tropical Blend, 1-Ounce (Pack of 4)

Gerber Graduates Fruit & Veggie Melts - Truly Tropical Blend, 1-OunceMy son is absoutely ADDICTED to these things!!! When he wants nothing else to eat, He will always, always eat these when brought out! I am so glad we can buy them in bulk here on Amazon. Super easy snack to have when out running errands or at the park..

We've been giving our baby different varieties of these melts since he was around 8 months old. He absolutely loves every single flavor and would eat the whole bag if I let him. I use them mainly for snacks on the go and the resealable bag makes it easy to toss in our diaper bag. I usually buy a lot of my baby items from Amazon but I actually get these from the grocery store because they are much cheaper than here.

My 14 month daughter loves these, she's been eating them since around 10 mos old. Because 1/3 of the bag is a full fruit AND veggie serving, I sometimes give them to her along with her main dish at lunch time. They're also great for snack time and it's good to know that they are healthy and count towards her daily fruit & veggie servings, when fresh fruit and veggies are not readily available. I also love that both flavors of these fruit & veggie melts are a completely mess free snack, which is always a plus. :)

Out of all the snacks out there and all the ones my daughter has tried, these are her all time favorite. Even if she's full, even if she won't eat anything else, she will never say no to these.

They smell great, although admittedly I've never tried them to see what they taste like. They melt very easily in her mouth, don't crumble or leave a mess. They're also just the perfect bite size for my 14 month old.

I prefer the tropic version over the berry version because it's colorless. The berry version, once wet, can stain chairs/clothes. It comes out but now you have to spend your night cleaning the stains out. A few time my daughter ended up sitting on them after dropping them and the colored stained her stroller. And once she somehow managed to get her water on them, perhaps it dripped, and that was a huge mess. So I learned to stick with the tropical, and she doesn't mind.

The price here is much higher than the grocery store though. I usually get them for 2.99 a pack and there's quite a few in the package.

My going on 3 year old has loved these for years. Nothing makes her behave like a bag of theseI've used them in stores, on a plane, in church, etc. They're a parents best friend and my daughter likes all the favors. The only downside is that she can eat the whole bag in minutes if you let her, and they aren't cheap! Despite the small amount and and larger price, I'm a customer for life thanks to its sanity saving abilities.

Wean Green 2-Pack Wean Tubs Glass Food Containers

Wean Green Wean Tubs 5.1oz/150ml Baby Food Glass Containers - PeaThese are the perfect size for single serving baby meals. They are the perfect size and flat bottom for mashing up foods with a fork in them too. Great seal on the lids.

If you freeze baby food in 2 TBS blocks, then 2 frozen cubes will fit comfortably, and when they thaw, will probably fill it about 50%.

These glass tubs are actually a re-branded version of the 150ml GlassLock containers. Glasslock products are made in Korea, but are available in the US (I actually found some at my local Whole Foods a couple weeks after I bought the Wean Greens) in varying sizes and sets. The Innobaby Innobaby Glass Rectangle Food Storage Container, 2 Pack, Green/Blue containers on Amazon also seem to be the spitting image of the very same glass tubs.

That said, the colored lids are only available through Wean Green, and they're a really nice touch for no extra expense. I have dropped the containers a couple of times on a hard tile floor that breaks everything else I own, and they survived. They're completely spill-proof, microwaveable, and freezable. Just don't put them in an oven. The 150ml (5 oz.) size is perfect for 2 1-oz. frozen cubes of food, as one reviewer said. My little guy started on solids at about that quantity; now with an 8.5 month-old I fill two containers with different stuff, about 75%-100% full each, and it's enough for lunch at the daycare.

Two-ounce containers of any kind would have been a waste of money; 5 oz. was a good start and I'll skip to 8 oz. for my next babyfood purchase. I'd buy these for all my leftovers too.

I am a new mommy who just started making food for my 5 month old. These are worth the money. When you receive them you will see the quality of how sturdy they are. We love these wean green tubs for our 10-month-old--perfect for freezing homemade baby food. The glass container is easy to reheat (without the top) in a pan of water. We've used it repeatedly and the tops still snap on great. I prefer the round ones--easier to feed out of, and easier to clean. These rectangular ones may be better for carrot and celery sticks.

Want Wean Green 2-Pack Wean Tubs Glass Food Containers Discount?

I originally bought these and the Wean Green Wean Cubes 4oz/120ml to hold my baby's homemade baby food for when we traveled and for microwave heating (trying to eliminate use of plastics). However, since then, I've been using these mostly for myself when I pack my lunches for work! These are great for holding small snacks (baby carrots, grapes, crackers, etc) so I don't have to use a plastic baggy everytime. These also work great for condiments like salsa, sour cream, peanut butter or salad dressings. These may seem pricey up front--but you get your money's worth out of them. Highly recommended.

Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair

Stokke Tripp Trapp Highchair, WalnutI have 2 children who are 2 years apart in age. I bought one chair when my oldest was 2 1/2-ish and I needed the highchair he was still using for my then nine month old daughter. I have a small home and only enough space for a breakfast table. I needed the extra chairs for guests. So it was worth it to me to buy an additional chair for my child. Also, I read one reviewer who said that kids will squirm less and be interested in their food if the chair they sit it fits them well. I found that to be true. My kids are now 6 and 4. Each of them has a Stokke chair that fits them well AND that they have always been able to climb into and out of themselves. I think this is important for their sense of self reliance.

I have two complaints and they are small (and this is why fours stars instead of five): 1) the sticker on the back with the warnings is ugly and has to be removed with goo gone takes a good half hour. 2) the straps never worked right, I never used them and eventually took them off. I could not adjust them properly and the kids would struggle to get out for only the reason that they felt confined. Both of my kids have fallen out of their seats without injuryI believe this is part of childhood and they learn very quickly to sit properly. The seat itself has never toppledEVER.

Because I found the straps useless I recommend that you not use this seat until the child is able to climb up on his or her ownlike at age 2 or more. These chairs are pricey but the cost of replacing or repairing our nice dining chair (which is part of a matched set) after it is scratched/stained from having a booster seat attached to it is probably comparable.

My advice is this: spend your money on the items that you use everydayseats like these, rockingchairs/furnishings, quality cribs and sheets, quality adaptive equipment like stools and toilet inserts. Get things that will hold up and feel secure for children to use. The added benefit is that when you are done with them and have enjoyed using them they have life left in them and you can sell them for a fair price at your next garage sale, or on craigslist, or hand them off with pride to someone else etc. The chairs are durable and look brand new still.

ps. I don't have the cushions. Just one more thing to wash. I don't feel they are necessary for comfort or anything.

8/29/12 update:

Still in the same tiny house and still using the Stokkes chairs. Kids are now 7 and 9. I've offered to have them sit in the regular dining chair but they refuse! We just keep adjusting the foot rests for their growth. The chairs have held up beautifully. My daughter pushes her Stokke chair over to her electric piano for her lessons she likes it better than the piano bench because she sits higher and her feet don't dangle. An unexpected benefit! I upgraded to five stars.

We received a Tripp Trapp chair 25 years ago when my daughter was a toddler struggling to reach the table, sink, and anything else high up. Over the course of the years we bought another one for a subsequent child, used them at the dining table, let the kids work at the sink, adjusted them to adult seating as they grew, etc.

Now my grandchildren are arriving, and they sit in their parents' old chairs (which still look beautiful) when they visit, and use new ones in their own home. The chairs are sturdy, comfortable, adjustable, and long-lived. Yes, they cost money, but this is a case of investing in something of high quality which will last for many years. Buying one of these early on will avoid the need to invest in other seating devices which don't last nearly as well, thus needing replacement.

My Stokke baby rail broke. Please be aware before purchasing this high chair, that there are safer (and less-expensive) options out there. I thought I was giving my daughter the best by purchasing a "top-of-the-line" high chair, but I was really putting her in danger.

The flimsy, plastic baby rail which attaches to the seat of the chair via a think clip broke in half when my infant daughter leaned forward in the chair. My daughter then tumbled forward, hitting her head on the table in front of her and getting caught up in the harness. I do not think the baby rail was manufactured with the safety of children in mind, and I want to warn other parents before they make the same mistake.

Despite repeatedly calling and even sending pictures of the defective product, the company has refused to refund my purchase. When I called, the customer service representative mentioned that they have seen this happen on numerous occasions. So, why is this product still on the market?!

My anger regarding my child's fall as a result of this poorly-designed product and Stokke's complete disregard for the safety of the children it sells to has prompted me to write this review and warn others of the danger of the plastic baby rail that accompanies the Stokke high chair.

We bought this chair a little under a year ago. Our 22mo daughter tipped over backwards in it and her head went slamming to the hard tile floor which landed us in the ER. I'm at a loss as to a better option since this chair came so highly rated, but we will not be using it anymore. My daughter is very petite, only 20lbs and still managed to do it. We were both seated at the table with her and couldn't grab her in time because it happened so fast. I'm horrified to think what could have happened to her fragile little skull and brain. Just Google "tripp trapp tipping" and see the YouTube video of the infant tipping. The same thing could happen in any of the belt-on toddler boosters that strap to a regular dining chair. Hoping this review will prevent at least a few more tippings. It was very scary.

I don't know how this chair has passed so many safety standards. They must not test it on carpet and with all table types because our son pushed himself back from the table today and the chair flipped backwards. He hit his head on a console table that was behind him, which was actually probably a good thing because it helped slow the momentum, but then he did hit the floor. It was the most horrifying thing for us so far. He is 11 1/2 months old. Please be warned that if it even seems like your child can push off the table with this chair do not use it.

This thing is going to be torn apart and put out with the trash.

In all fairness I must update this review...I am a huge proponent of parents taking responsibility for their children and after further review we saw in the downloadable safety information on this chair that there is indeed a tipping possibility if the chair is on certain surfaces and if they can reach a certain part of the table. So please, please make sure you do not fall into this category before buying this chair.

If you are in the safe zone then I will have to say you may just love the chair as we did before the fall.
