Earth's Best Chlorine Free Baby Wipes Refill, 72-Count (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best Chlorine Free Baby Wipes Refill, 72-CountI checked the ingredients of those wipes and Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate is a very controversial preservative. Has the potential to be contaminated with formaldehyde, and can also break down over the time into formaldehyde, a known carcinogen, toxin and irritant that is rated as a high hazard by the EWG.

We have tried a lot of brands of chlorine free wipes and these are our favorite. They are soft and strong but do seem a little bit thinner and smaller than brands like Huggies. They work just as well, though, and I think the texture is more gentle. The wipes at the bottom of the package have a tendency to be a little bit soapy but flipping the package upside down when not using it solves that problem. The Earth's Best reusable container is crap. We bought a cheap package of wipes at the grocery store and use that container with these refills. The resealable plastic tab on the top of this refill package doesn't last as long as the package does so a reusable container is a must to keep them from drying out.

I tried these wipes and the Seventh Generation wipes, trying to find the best product and the best deal! The Seventh Generation wipes, while cheaper per wipe, are MUCH smaller and dryer and so you have to use more. The Earth's Best wipes are larger and wetter. I do have a bit of a time getting only ONE wipe out at a time, though. The only thing I loved about the Seventh Generation wipes was that they were so easy to get out of the container, only one came out at a time.

But, I would still choose Earth's Best wipes over Seventh Generation!

Diapers? That's a different story!

WARNING!!! Shouldn't be called natural.

I used these diapers for the first 6 months of my baby's life. My sister recommended them because they were "natural". Immediately I had a horrible bout of eczema on my right hand (the hand that constantly used the diaper wipes). My hand had large bleeding cracks and was constantly itchy. My mother also does a lot of changing (with Earth's Best wipes) and also had horrible eczema on her right hand. At first we figured it was because our hand was always wet from washing, etc., but I started reading about the ingredients and was extremely disappointed to read that one ingredient in the Earth's Best Diaper wipes is "sodium hydroxymethylglycinate". This ingredient is a broad spectrum antimicrobial and is linked to contact dermatitis and can release formaldehyde.I have stopped using these wipes and my hands have cleared up. I can't believe they market their wipes as eczema friendly....they CAUSE eczema!

I don't recommend buying these wipes.

Not liking these. They're very thick and so moist they leave a sudsy residue on my baby. I'm canceling my subscribe and save to this item and waiting for the "old" Seventh Generation wipes to come back. (They will be back in production and available in about 5 months.)
