Goddess Garden - Sunny Kids Natural Sunscreen 30 SPF

Kids Natural Sunscreen SPF 30 - 6 oz - LiquidAfter reading many reviews about sunscreens I decided to write one for the men out there. Instead of bleating about how this product works well when playing at the dog park, or while riding in a convertible Mazda Miata, I'm going to comment on how it fared during our 3500 mile motorcycle road trip.

To start, this stuff kicks butt. Each morning when I geared up I applied this lotion to my exposed skin before getting on the bike. Since I ride with a helmet and full leathers this means my face, neck, and wrists received treatment. After about 200 miles of riding and four beers and two shots of whiskey, I'd re-apply to those areas.

I rode my Harley-Davidson Fat Boy through Las Vegas and over historic Route 66 through the Mohave Desert in 108-110 degree weather to California and this stuff kept me from getting a sunburn. Sure it makes my skin a little pale when I applied it but that's alright as it just accentuates my appearance as the bringer of death. I also preferred the Kid's version. It contains better ingredients than the adult version and anyone who had a problem with a forty year old biker using a children's product got strightened out real quick with a spiked gauntlet to the teeth or a bullwhip crack across their backside (yes I do ride with a bullwhip).

On the way back from L.A. we rode across US-50 (the loneliest road in America) at similar 100+ degree temperatures and still no problem with sunburn. The only downside is that our pale skin attracted a flock of buzzards which started following our bikes in formation as we rode at 100+ mph down the swooping spine of America's backbone. That's okay though cause with a quick gesture and flick of my wrist I got them to fly ahead and spot bars for us to stop at along the way home.

All-in-all this product is fantastic. And if you don't mind looking like Hell on wheels or having buzzards fly alongside you in formation due to your slightly pale skin, then get it. It's the best sunscreen I've used to date.

After my mother had a few cancerous moles removed, I became quite vigilant about sunscreen at the ripe old age of 16. Unfortunately, despite buying the highest SPF sunscreens, and reapplying every 2 hours, I would inevitably end up tanned or worse yet, burnt. Blotchy breakouts on my face from even the most gentle of sunscreens was to be expected.

When i had children, who also had sensitive skin, my quest for a good, safe sunscreen became more important. We're outside every day in the summer, and we play hard. I wanted to find a good sunscreen that could protect us all, preferably without rashes and breakouts.

This sunscreen fits the bill. One application in the morning seems to be sufficient to keep us protected all day even in the water. No one breaks out, and no one complains about the smell.

That isn't to say that it's perfect. It's thick. It's white. If you don't rub it in well enough, you will have friends making anxious inquiries about your health. And if you want a summer tan, well.. this one is probably too effective for you. We're still January pale and I'm thrilled.

Okay I am a mother of two and I am very health conscious. We try to avoid most things that are potentially harmful and every year in the spring I start studying the EWG website for the best sun screen products on the market. Since we are on a tight budget I chose to try Kids Natural Sunscreen this year as it seems to be the best deal for your money.

Last year we used Alba Botanica Mineral Sunblock which was great but it had a weird smell to it which I wasn't too fond of.

Anyway The Kids Natural applies super easy if you work it fast! Don't take your time because the slower you work the harder it is to apply and smooth out which results in white blotches.

It smells pleasant and the kids don't seem to mind. If you do decide to jump into the pool you will find out that you start looking like a corpse that has been floating in the river for two days but the sunscreen eventually comes off and you go back to normal. After all it clearly reads that you need to reapply after swimming so that's fine with me.

However I can see that this might be a con for some people but lets just be honest... It works like a charm, it smells good and it is a low hazard product for a great price. To me that's all that matters. WE LOVE IT

I've used just about every sunscreen available. I saw Goddess Garden in my local store and thought I would give it a try. It is horrible! It comes out lumpy, doesn't rub into the skin, plus it gives me a "lavender" color. I called their toll-free # on the tube, and the person who answered said that no one has had any complaints. She said that the lavender coloration was due to my skin tone (?) My mother used it also same problem. This one needs to go back to the drawing board.

I absolutely LOVE Goddess Garden Sunscreen! Not greasy at all, and I can use it on my face and my body. Smells lovely...lavender!

Charlie Banana 10 Reusable Organic Cotton Wipes

Charlie Banana 10 Reusable Organic Cotton WipesThese wipes are SO soft and gentle for diaper changes on our newborn baby boy. Superior to any terry cloth washcloths which are usually rough on at least one side. These are super soft on both sides and have held up well to daily washings. I am tempted to buy a bunch more and use only these for diaper changes. Can't recommend enough!

I love these organic wipes! You can't beat the price, about a dollar a piece. I ordered some of the double sided wipes from Charlie Banana, and even though they are thicker, they are made of one side organic cotton, one side 100% polyester :S... These are just one piece of organic cotton with a hem.. A little thinner, but so soft and will get the job done. Definitely recommend!

We have ordered many packs of these. They have been great for our cloth diapered kids for over 2 years now. A few have gotten holes in them from being laundered multiple times a week, but any thin material will eventually wear down. Overall, these have been a great buy.

I love these! I bought them for cleaning my face and apply product as I hate the idea of using cotton balls and just throwing them away. These are soft on my skin and are the perfect size.

The only issue I have with these is that the tags are HUGEotherwise they are working just fine. They're much, much softer than disposable wipes and they even fit in my OXO refillable wipe dispenser.

Baby Bullet BBSK-080 8-Piece Storage System

Baby Bullet BBSK-080 8-Piece Storage SystemI just got the storage containers out of the box after receiving them as a gift and put them in the dishwasher to clean before my first use. The tall "to-go-tube" melted in this first wash and came out wonky so now storage cups will not fit in the tube. The storage cups did not appear to melt at all like the tube. We had the 'water heat' setting on for the dishwasher. The box didn't mention that the items shouldn't go in the dishwasher.

I received this product as a gift from my registry, but after my daughter was ready for solids and I started to make my own baby food, I opened up the Baby Bullet products and started reading the instructions. My first issue was that the jars can't go in the dishwasher, microwave or freezer. Okay, I can hand-wash, no big deal. But my second issue is that homemade baby food is only good in the refrigerator for 3 days, so when would I ever need 12 (6 come with the Baby Bullet plus the 6 with this product) jars of pureed food in the fridge? Maybe if I had multiples. What I really needed was extra silicone freezer trays, which incidentally Baby Bullet does not sell, so I had to purchase another product. I do actually like the Baby Bullet system itself, but I find the extra 8-piece storage system a waste.

This expands the usefulness of the baby bullet due to the increased storage capicity. It is a good additon for busy mothers who prepare meals on the weekends.

I purchased the baby bullet when my baby was 4 months old, it came with six storage containers and I believed it would be enough, but I enjoy making her food and she love to eat it (she likes it more than the jared baby food) so now that she eats more and 3 times a day, 6 containers are not enough and that's why I ordered more. I like them because they are good quality, you can put them in the dishwasher, mark the date when you cooked it and the food stays fresh. Love it!!!

The six jars that come with the Baby Bullet system just aren't enough, so these extra jars are incredibly helpful for prepping and storing extra baby food. The carrying case is handy for tossing in a diaper bag when on the go. The jars are sturdy and hold up well with frequent use, including in the freezer and microwave.

Nosefrida The Snotsucker Nasal Aspirator

Nosefrida The Snotsucker Nasal AspiratorThis picture confused me because I thought that the large blue box was part of the Nosefrida. It is the just the case. There is a red mouthpiece, clear tube, blue filter and clear...I'm going to call it the "applicator" that you put up to the baby's nose.

I examined the nosefrida for a long time before trying it out on my four month old. I wanted to make sure that there wasn't anyway for snot to end up in my mouth. 14 hours of labored breathing, the baby's-not mine, I decided to give the Nosefrida a go.

Darn if that little disgusting contraption doesn't work! And I know it works because I could actually see the snot collecting in the tube. Yes, I gagged a little, but baby could breathe! And after all, isn' that what they teach you day 1 in parenthood?

Day 1. Make sure baby can breathe.

I still think you'd have to be pretty close to someone to give this as a baby shower gift. No one wants to think of snot on their happy day.

my wife has tiny nostrils. i can't fit any of my fingers in her nose...it's amazing she can breathe through her nose at all. consequently, our son is also lacking in the nostril-diameter department. he gets boogies...he can't breathe very well...he gets upset. it's been like that since he was born, whenever that was...recently. i forget, but i digress. we came home from the hospital with a pretty decent nose-sucking bulb...it did a reasonably OK job of sucking out boogers...and was reasonably firm and springy. but then our dog ate it. so, i tried to find a replacement. not all bulbs are created equal, i soon found out. some were too hard to squeeze and didn't spring back quickly enough. others were too soft to suck anything out and just sat there, mocking me. i tried at least four different replacement bulbs, none of which were as good as the one from the hospital. we even tried a fancy battery powered nose vacuum that made a whirring sound but produced nary a single lump of green gold. while ordering the various, useless bulbs i also ordered this thing the nosefrida on a whim thinking i was probably wasting $13.

BOY WAS I WRONG.

this thing works. it sucks boogers out of noses. it even stores them in a little tube to eat later. or, you can just wash them out in the sink. anyway...it works better than any of the other things we tried...and we tried pretty much everything. there's a technique to it:

suck in quick short bursts with your mouth muscles first...to loosen things up

then, suck in long hoover-style bursts to get those boogies out

if the boogies get stuck near the surface, try pulling the end of the thing out a little mid-suck a few times

use a tissue or q-tip to get any nose goblins that are loitering anywhere accessible

repeat

if i was a professional booger sucker...and it was my job to suck the snot out of noses 8 hours a day, i would insist on using this thing. but i would want a longer tube, and a holster.

Buy Nosefrida The Snotsucker Nasal Aspirator Now

This nasal aspirator is absolutely amazing. It WORKS. And it is completely non-invasive. My 4 week old newborn caught a cold, and this thing saved me. It cleared her out SO WELL! I had been using a bulb syringe, and she would scream and scream. Plus, the bulb syringe was irritating her nose and causing it to bleed. Once I got the Nosefrida, I was able to suction her nose much more effectively without shoving anything in her nostrils. She barely even cries when I use it. Mostly, she hates the saline drops I use ahead of time. I have to wonder if I didn't start using the Nosefrida if she would have developed a worse infection. All that drainage could have headed to her lungs. I read some reviews on the Nosefrida that said it takes too much lung power. It definitely does take some lung power, but if you have healthy lungs it should be no problem (I had no difficulties). Also, some people said it's hard to hold the infant's head still. I don't think it's any harder to hold the baby's head still than with a bulb syringe (with both aspirators you have just one hand free). Actually, I think it's easier because I know my baby fights the bulb syringe much more than the Nosefrida. One great benefit of the Nosefrida is that you can wash it in the dishwasher. It is a very clean system. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! Every mom who has a baby should own one. It truly comes down to a safety issue: allowing your baby to breathe.

After a morning spent listening to my 7 month old cough, I decided to break out the Nose Frida which had been sitting on the changing table like a box of chocolatessomething I was ashamed to admit that I secretly wanted to rip into. Let me start by saying that this is definitely a two person job. My husband had to hold him down while I placed the tube right up to his nose and then the sucking started. Take a deep breath and just suck like your life depended on it because that's really the only way you're going to battle that snot. This is not the place for dainty sips. All of a sudden a huge yellow snot monster crept its way into the tube, which meant it exited my baby's sinuses so I was hooked. After a few more minutes of us having to wrestle with him to hold him still I had gotten a ton of garbage out of his nose. Bottom line, there was nothing that even came close to getting even near the tube connected to my mouth so if you're having nightmares about snot going into your mouth, I can guarantee you that won't happen! I adore my baby, but there's a limit to what I'd do for him...

Pros

-Tube doesn't enter baby's nose so no irritation like with an aspirator or danger of him jerking and hurting his nose

-Works really well coupled with saline drops, so it's a nice, safe, natural way to clear sinuses

-It works fast, but you really have to suck to get it to work the best.

Cons

-None, you'd see a bunch of snot coming out if you used an aspirator so unless you're afraid of the power of physics, this will work wonders for you and baby!

We bought this to use on our 9 month old daughter who was cutting teeth and had a really runny nose. The saline solution wasn't doing much but making a mess and making her grumpier. The pump nasal aspirator wasn't doing much good either.

So, out of desperation and a couple sleepness nights, we bought this magical little gadget. And, WOW!, are we glad that we did!

The cone-end goes just inside the tip of the nostril, and the other end goes between your lips like you're blowing up a balloon (but you inhale instead of exhale). You inhale as strongly as you can, and NO mucus enters your mouth. Like many other users, we were a bit apprehensive at first. But we found that the filter stops any and all particles from entering your mouth.

Also, the description doesn't tell you, but the Nosefrida comes with 6 or so extra filters. We bought extras, but they will probably last longer than the Nosefrida.

In a nutshell, if you have a baby with a runny nose, buy this aspirator. You'll be thankful you did!

Boon Switch Containers, 6.5 Ounce

Boon Switch Containers, 6.5 OunceWhen my kid started eating snacks and taking food to school at almost a year old, i bought a whole bunch of cute containers for transporting the food, including Itsy Ritzy bags, Lunchskins, and these. All work well for the right situation, but these are the most versatile and are the only ones where the Cheerios don't get stale and the bagel doesn't get yucky. They are a great size for going out for a few hours, they fit in every kind of bag or purse, and they look good. Plus, i've found a huge added bonus: since they stay closed and are made of durable plastic, if you fill them with puffs they become a shake toy for your child when you're on the go!

These are fantastic containers for kids. We use them regularly and would buy again. A great product that is easy to clean and keeps foods fresh.

Beaba Multiportions Freezer Trays

Beaba Multiportion Freezer Tray - GreenI purchased this when I was planning to make and freeze baby food for my daughter. What I like about them is that they are easy to pop after food is frozen, unlike regular ice trays. After they freeze, I just put the baby food in freezer bags and it's working great. Gave it 4 stars because they are a little pricey.

This tray makes a perfect monkey platter for a toddler! Before purchasing this I was putting items directly onto my son's booster tray or using several small dishes, but this is a way better solution. There are seven deep wells, perfectly toddler-sized. I can put a few heaping spoonfuls of yogurt in one, some brown rice in another, diced squash, some chopped apple, steamed spinach.. a bit of this and a bit of that. The monkey platter approach is a great way to encourage small children to try a wide variety of foods without overwhelming them and this tray is PERFECT. It's also cute and easy to clean.

This product is sturdy and well made. The portion is perfect. It has a lid which keeps food clean and easy to stack. I have one in orange as well as green. My baby is 11 months now. I wish I would have purchased more in different colors but I got by with freezing and storing in freezer bags. I think I can reuse Beaba freezer trays after I stop making baby food.

this freezer tray is not airtight --so the puree will get freezer burn. I've had to enclose the tray in a plastic freezer bag before storing. I would expect it to work better for the price. However it is very easy to pop-out when ready to defrost.

Happybaby Organic Baby Food, Stage 3, Beef Stew, 4-ounce Pouch

Happybaby Organic Baby Food, Stage 3, Beef Stew, 4-ounce PouchI gave this flavor to my 6 month old son but he did not like it so I tried to blend it, but still no luck. It does have very strong taste especially for babies who had only veggie and fruit blends. So I mixed the blended beef stew with green beans ( 1,5 oz of beef stew with 3,5oz green beans ) and my baby ate it all no problem. I just think since he did not have any flavor like that before ( tomato, beef, spices ) he just need to get used to the flavor. Sweet peas works too and takes away that sharp tomato taste. I will keep adding less of the veggie blends and I bet he will get used to the taste in no time. So do not give up if your baby doesn't like it right away. I bet you as adults also had some meals first time and did not love it and now are enjoying them ( sushi, oysters..... ) so let your little one get used to new flavor.

My son loved Chick chick and Super salmon right away but I think it is because he had sweet potato and carrots before so he was used to the flavor already.

UPDATE: one week later I have split the packet in two containers and added 1oz. sweet peas and 1oz. carrots, and my baby ate it no problem, likes it a lot when warmed up.

Week after that I just warmed up the packet and my son ate it no problem, loved it as much as chick chick or super salmon.

So if you did not have luck first time do not give up, it took couple tries for us and now he loves it.

I love this baby food. The pouch makes it so easy to bring anywhere. I initially purchased these for having backup food in the diaper bag, but they are so good I will give them to my baby when I don't have the time or energy to make him something. I really like the beef stew because it has great ingredients, including quinoa. I love the Plum Organics brand, too, but the Happy Baby brand seems to add a little more (quinoa, whole wheat pasta) to their foods, creating a great texture for babies who are just past the simple puree stage. And most importantly, my baby gobbles these up--more so than my homemade foods.

Baby Tracker ® - Daily Childcare Schedule Recordkeeper (1 Year Binder - Refillable)

Baby Tracker ® - Daily Childcare Schedule RecordkeeperI found the product description for this item to be ambiguous on both Amazon and the company's own website. I wrote to the company requesting clarification on exactly what type of pages were included in this item, and after waiting a week with no response, decided to just order and see for myself. This tracker will be going back for several reasons.

First the binder is really bulky. The cover is a squishy, soft, and wipe-able material, but it is really bulky. The binder is heavy too. I cannot see carrying this around in my diaper bag (which is something you'd want to be able to do with a tracker like this). Sure, you could take out a few pages to bring along instead . . . but then why not just find a free tracking page online and print a bunch if you're going to do that? The whole point of a binder is having it together and neatly organized and secure, and this binder is just not easily portable.

Second The binder doesn't lay flat. This could be a major issue if you're wanting to hold your baby in one arm and write with the other.

Third The included pages are not what I wanted. I was hoping it would have one package of the newborn, 24-hour tracking pages, and one package of the baby, daytime only tracking pages. Instead it has 2 packs of pages, good for 6 months each (total of 12 months tracking), but they are *both* the baby, daytime only tracking. They aren't even 12 hours either they span 8AM to 6PM. As a first time mother, and a bit of an organizational freak, I was hoping for pages that would be at least 6AM to 6PM. I've spent enough time around other people's kids to know babies, even older babies, wake up early, then want a nap, then wake up again, etc. Sure, you could write in a different wake up time than 8AM, but why? The pages could clearly fit at least a 12 hour span if formatted properly. It would also be nice if the baby tracking pages had a bit of space for writing nighttime issues, in case your older baby isn't sleeping through the night yet, and you want to track when he/she wakes up to see if you notice a pattern or issue. More importantly, as a first time mom and wanting to use this with my newborn, I *really* wanted to have at least one package of the 24-hour newborn pages for this binder! Since those weren't included, I'd have to shell out more cash to go buy the refill pack on the company's own website, since, for some reason, they aren't available on Amazon.

Fourth and probably the smallest of my complaints, I'm not impressed with having asked the company questions about this product and then getting no response. That deters me from wanting to order their products, and especially order directly from them. Luckily I purchased this item from Amazon so I know there will no issues with returning it.

That being said, I also purchased the spiral bound, newborn, 24-hour tracker book from this same company. I looked through it and am quite pleased with it for use when my little guy arrives. I checked out a bunch of different tracking books before purchase and most of them are just blank charts. You have to fill in everything, including times of day. It seems like a little thing but in a sleep deprived fog I do not want to have to think about writing in times. I want to just glance at a clock, notice it's around 8AM, and grab the log to track in the 8AM box. This company's products have the times all charted out already you can just draw arrows for things like naps, how long a feeding took, how long you were active, and then there is space for notes about what you did during that period. I really like how all of that is neatly organized out for me already. The 24-hour pages are perfect for newborn and younger baby tracking too. And best of all, the spiral bound book lays flat and will easily fit in a diaper bag.

I will be sticking to the spiral bound trackers from this company.

This is a great product to use for a nanny or babysitter that is with your baby all day. I love it.

Healthy Times Organic Mixed Grain Cereal for Baby, 6-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

Healthy Times Organic Mixed Grain Cereal for Baby, 6-Ounce BoxesDear Amazon website I like this brand of rice noodles think it is very suitable for my baby because journey is distant bought 24 packs of 2 box but unfortunately is all about expired food I'm worried about a 10 month old baby can eat so I can say very disappointment shopping

I had been using happy belly baby cereal since Gavin was 4 months old, but decided to switch it up and offer him some new grains. I chose this cereal because it includes barley in the mix, which I like alot. Gavin really likes the taste, eats it up just fine. It is a finer cereal than happy belly, and can get a little gelatinous, but Gavin doesn't seem to mind (he hates Gerber baby cereals, however). I like to add mashed fruit, canned pumpkin or spices (especially cinnamon and ginger) to the cereal to keep it interesting.

Buy Healthy Times Organic Mixed Grain Cereal for Baby, 6-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12) Now

I really don't have any complaints besides that it's more flaky than Earth's best. I like the consistency of EB better, but this is cheaper and I can't find EB in any grocery stores in my area. Maybe at a Whole Foods (which isn't in the area).

With almond milk it tends to be more goopy. With rice milk and water it mixes a little better. I tasted some and it tastes very much like rice so I am thinking that the rice is for filler and there is less ratio of barley and oat.

My 8 mo son eats it great tho, never a problem.

Dr. Brown's Bottle Warmer

Dr. Brown's Bottle WarmerWe originally purchased a Philips AVENT iQ Bottle Warmer probably mostly cause it looked cool and had pretty buttons. However when our little guy was born, we immediately realized it was a trash design, and I ran out and bought this one.

The Dr. Brown warmer is an amazing peice of engineering. It's not over thought, yet well thought out.

Features you will care about:

#1. The cord wraps up under the device so that it doesn't hang out everywhere

#2. It uses Steam to warm the bottle. Exactly the same tech as the Avent.

#3. The buttons are easy to press and work very much like a microwave, so no confusion and zero learning curve.

#4. The blue light screen can be seen from pretty far away and in the dark.

#5. The warmer shows a visual count down in terms of time. So you know exactly how much time you have before

it is done.

#6. The extra water container is a life saver, as you can replace water and clean the machine only once in a few uses

rather than every use. Particularly useful when you're half asleep and only have enough energy to press the buttons.

#7. The warmer's top isn't latched or safety locked. This is actually also a good idea as again...

it makes for one handed operation easier.

#8. The warmer is surprisingly stable even for it's height. It doesn't shift around when you press the buttons.

#9. The removable basket can be flipped over to reduce the warmers depth so that shorter bottles ( like 4 oz) can be easily removed/ reached.

If you need a solid warmer which is easy to use with no hassle, this is probably your best bet.

Just go ahead and spend a few extra dollars on this warmer. It will save you the time and frustration of dealing with the cheaper ones. This warmer gets it right every single time. It is small and compact, lets you know warming is finished, remembers the previous warming times, and automatically adjusts the warming time if you're doing two bottles in a row, i.e. if you have twins, etc. It truly is perfect. I went through 3 warmers, including the 1st years brand they were both very aggravating to use and inconsistent. Obviously this can be frustrating when you have a hungry baby on your hands. Honestly, this is the best buy out there. You can use a coupon at BRU and it is a great price for what you're getting.

Buy Dr. Brown's Bottle Warmer Now

Why buy a bottle warmer? To save precious time while your hungry baby is crying and needs attention (like a diaper change, for example), and also to ensure consistent, safe heating of the milk/formula without guesswork. (All is doubly important in the middle of the night or when grandparents are watching your baby).

First we tried the Avent model with our newborn, and it works fine, except it's not easy to use. You have to fill with water each time, plug it in, choose bottle (vs. jar), choose to heat from room temp or refridgerated, then choose how many ounces (which is itself multiple button presses). Even after doing this 8 times a day for a month, I would still make mistakes sometimes! Too many button-presses, too much chance for error!

Dr. Brown's model is SIMPLE to use. Insert bottle. Press one button. Go back to crying baby until it beeps! The bottle warmer remembers your settings -this seems SO obvious considering you will probably be warming the same size bottle hundreds and hundreds of times. I can't tell you how valuable that simplicity and reliability is for something you will be doing 6-8 times per day (and night), under stress, for many many months!

As many people mention, the reservoir is not terribly obvious how to clean, and over time will probably develop some mineral or mold/algae buildup. That sounds scary, but keep in mind this water is not comming into direct contact with the milk, and yes it CAN be cleaned (see below for some tips). That said, I tried to "improve" mine by sawing off three sides of the top of the reservoir (to make a hinged opening) so I could easily clean it with a normal bottle brush. Ooops -that doesn't work -the reservoir needs to have a sealed top to make a vaccum or all the water just spills out at once (and I have an engineering degree... oops).

CUSTOMER SERVICE: I thought it would be a long-shot, but I called the 800 number on the Dr Browns website. SHOCK #1 A human answered the phone right away. SHOCK #2 She was helpful, friendly, and offered to send me a replacement reservoir, free of charge, no questions asked!!! She also provided a bunch of tips for cleaning it. She even called me back later in the day to double-check she had the right address. I could not be more pleased with the customer service!!!

RESERVOIR CLEANING TIPS:

1. Each time you refill the reservoir (about every 3 -5 days for me), wash with warm soapy water and let it dry before re-use.

2. Fill reservoir with vinegar and hot water and let soak for a while. Then shake, empty, and rinse.

3. If there is still residue clinging, try adding a bunch of dry salt to the reservoir and shaking vigorously. (The salt is abrasive and grinds the residue off).

4. (From another post) Similar to salt, you can try using dry rice in the same way

5. (From another post) Similar to the vinegar and water, you can try using baking soda and water to loosen the residue.

6. (From other posts) A number of people use the skinny brushes that come with Dr. Browns bottles to reach into the small opening and directly scrub the inside of the reservoir. I tried this at first, but couldn't get enough scrubbing leverage. Some people report success by bending the brush in various ways.

Bottom-line: This is the best bottle warmer I have seen and it will save you enormous hassle. Plus the company's customer service is such a stand-out that I was inspried to write a review (which I very rarely do). Especially when dealing with products that intimately touch your baby's health, it's nice to buy from a company that cares. Thank you Sherry at Dr. Browns!

I am a first time mom and am using Dr. Brown's bottles. We had been running the bottles from the frig under hot water before giving them to our little one. I saw this item and knew I had to have it. It is hard to hold the baby in one arm while swirling the bottle under the water with the other one, checking the temperature, etc. Now when I hear my little one start to fuss and I know it's feeding time, I put the bottle in the warmer, go change his diaper, and by then it's all ready for him. Products that make my life easier and more efficient are what I'm all about and this is definitely a winner! Easy to use, and every so handy!

So I have never posted a review but I thought I should on this item. At first I loved this bottle warmer b/c I didn't know any better. But now that we have a new one, I realized how bad this one is.

CONS

it warms with hot spots

mold built up in the water reservoir and the warmer after 2 months (and I cleaned it often)

it broke 5 bottles

PROS

-don't have to fill it with water each time

So basically there is a water reservoir on the side that heats up every time you use it. based on what type of bottle you use (glass/plastic) and how cold the milk is, depends on how much time you put in to warm the bottles. this took a few days to figure out. HOWEVER, it seems to warm the bottle to extreme temps and not warm the milk evenly. also, we took the milk out of the fridge, put it in the bottle and then the bottle warmer. 5 bottles broke. i wasn't too upset about the bottles breaking but i was very upset that i lost about 6 oz of milk each time! this stuff is like gold, i don't want to lose a drop! i think since it warmed the bottom so much, the contrast between the cold milk and the warmer broke the glass -but isn't this what the warmer is for...to heat milk out of the fridge??!?!?

also, mold built up in the water reservoir after 2 months. i cleaned the unit often but i think b/c there is water in there all the time, it built up this residue/mold....gross

so we bought the phillips avent. the disadvantage is that you have to fill it with water every time (this takes about 5 seconds) and dump the water out ever time (another 3 seconds). however, it warms the milk evenly and we haven't had a bottle break yet! i am much happier with this product!!

Soho Classic Deluxe Baby Diaper Bag with Changing Pad and Accessory Case

SOHO Classic Deluxe Baby diaper bag with changing padI was a bit worried about buying this product because it didn't have any reviews but when it arrived a week later I was so thrilled to find out that it was ex actually as described. Being a first time mom I wanted a slightly larger(bag but not too big as too look goofy) that had lots or compartments because I don't yet know what I will need to carry around with me when I'm out an about with my little girl, so I figure bring too much rather than too little and this bag is definitely capable of that. It is very good quality material and has 16 compartments plus 3 detachable compartments. The straps attached to the bag are long enough that I don't use the shoulder strap it came with but it would be very easy to adjust and attach if needed. So starting from the back of the bag there are 3 zippered compartments that I use for bibs, extra socks, swaddle blanket and receiving blankets. The whole front zips down to become a big compartment that has a large compartment with velcro I use this for extra clothes and the included changing mat, a medium sized compartment with elastic top I use for diapers, a small sized compartment with elastic top I use for burping rag an a clear plastic bag I use for wipes that velcros to the inside. The top opens with a u-shaped zipper that provides visual of everything inside which is great with so many compartments, so inside there is 3 smaller round shaped elastic topped compartments used for bottles or food(great for anything that needs to stay sitting up strait),1 slightly larger round shaped elastic topped compartment,2 medium sized compartments I use for baby lotion, toys, diaper rash, orajel an so on, 1 medium zippered compartment, 2 elastic pieces I use for a thermometer and nail clippers, and finally 1 small detachable velcro bag great for a binki, 1 medium detachable velcro bag I use for my cell phone and 1 detachable zipped bag perfect for coins or other small items such as band-aids, also on the top of the bag there is straps on either side with buttons used to either keeping bag more compact when empty or in use, but they are also great for strapping down your little ones favorite blanket (: hope this review is helpful.

Well made and stylish.

Useful pockets and accessories.

A small bag that feels and works as though it were larger.

Annabel Karmel Micro Cook Container

Annabel Karmel Micro Cook ContainerI was really excited for this product, because I enjoy making my own baby food. It is really hard to open and takes awhile to cook the food. Ill be returning it and buying a similar product from Pampered Chef.

I purchased this steamer in order to quickly cook vegetables(frozen and fresh). It does its purpose well enough, the veggies are cooked properly in a fast manner. It is easy enough to use, add some water, put in vegetables and pop in the micro for 1-2 minutes, depending on the food.

In using this product I have noticed some negatives.

1)The steamer is difficult to open. This may be due to the fact that it gets very hot. It takes several minutes to pry off the lid after cooking. The plastic get very hot, so I need to run it under cool water just to be able to touch it. Cool water fixes the issue, so its not so bad.

2)It does not come with instructions on how to use it, so first time users may find this frustrating. It was basically trial and error at first, figuring out how much water to put in, and how long to cook. I begin most vegetables at 1 min 30, check, and add more time as needed. A small amount of water covering the bottom seems to do the trick for the steam.

3)It sometimes feels as if I am boiling the vegetables instead of steaming them. I would prefer if there was a raised bottom(with holes for the water to go into), so the vegetables rested above the water instead of directly in it.

As I said, the product does what is is supposed to do. It is not terrible, but it could be better.

My mom bought this item so that I could quickly steam healthy options for my daughter. I trusted the product and used it often. My mistake was that I did not look at the bottom the day I received it. It is Plastic 7 which is the kind that leeches toxic chemicals when it is heated. This is absolutely irresponsible in any children's meal preparation product let alone one that pro-ports healthy eating. I would have rated this a zero but Amazon won't let me.

I bought this on a whim and love it for steaming frozen veggies and fresh broccoli. I have used it several times a week for at least two years.

add water to just cover the bottom, fill with veggies... my frozen brocolli turn perfect in 2 min, fresh carrots 1 1/2 min... after two min it does help if you hold it under running cold water, it gets hot ( dah...). and one more thing, i cooked for toddlers and grownups. it holds perfect two portions. for one year old baby steemed food would be a little crunchy.. i'm glad i gave it a try after reading negative reviews.

The First Years 6 Pack Ziploc Snacks To Go

The First Years 6 Pack Ziploc Snacks To GoI bought this to carry snacks and formula for my 9 month old and I wanted different sizes. Although the set comes with a mix of 2sizes, the lids are horrible. The twist on threading is too tight/not finished well. Its neither a twist on nor a snap shut lid. A bit of both is a bad idea. In addition the snack box itself is bendable, so you cannot get a grip to twist off the lid open. I tried for 10 minutes and finally just pulled open the Lid by deforming the box. the colors are pretty and the size is what i wanted, but that's about it. It would have been perfect if I could actually get it to work for me.

One thing they got right is that the baby cannot open it (if I cannot, I don't think my son can).

Save yourself some time, Search for other products!

The threading on these is horrible, every single one. The small ones are the worst. Try and screw it tightly shut, and it can be impossible to open. I think I'm just going to toss these, I really hate them.

I've been using these for more than a year now. My first set was a gift from my mom and then I came back for more.

You can push the lid in to take out some of the air and create some vacuum inside (less air, less food decay). They're good in the freezer, good in the microwave. The lid is semi-transparent so you can figure out what's inside most of the time. We've used them for all situations: storage, feeding, freezing, traveling. Even for us (mom and dad) to have some desserts or small portions of food.

I highly recommend them. They have never leaked either!

ONE THING TO KNOW: colors will vary. My set came green and yellow. That was not important for me, but I could be for you, so I hope this helps you decide wether to buy or not to buy this set.

I like how they screw on so that little hands can't take the lids off. I haven't yet used them in the microwave.
