green sprouts Collapsible Silicone Storage Bowl, Green

green sprouts Collapsible Silicone Storage Bowl, GreenThis was great for going out to meals, it was convenient. However, after using this for a few months, it appears as though the silicone absorbed the smell of the food. So now, when we use it, the food starts to smell like the container, i.e. leftover food smell. I don't know why it would have that since we don't store the food in, we always wash it after usage. So my overall review is three stars, since it was convenient and great for the few months...so now I'm looking for a replacement.

This is the perfect size, easy to flatten out and store. It heats up my food well. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for someone with arthritis. Good for kids as well. I would say this is a medium sized bowl. Note that the shape is more of a funnel shape than a round bowl. Didn't matter to me, but if it does to you, heads up!

Pororo Edison Training Chopsticks for Children

Pororo Edison Training Chopsticks for ChildrenI didn't buy these from Amazon, we saw a pair at an Asian store near us. On a whim, I let my near three-yo pick out a pair. I showed her once how to use it, I stepped out of the room for a minute, when I came back she was using them to eat grapes. She absolutely adores them and can pretty much eat almost anything with them. I highly recommend these.

These are super easy to use and the finger guides are ingenious!

Ordered a pair for a 24-year-old friend as a joke. (She's completely useless with regular chopsticks!) They're a bit small on her, which I knew they would be as they're clearly for children, but they're cuter and more fun than the adult versions. I regret nothing! Especially if she FINALLY learns how to use them.

It only took my 4 year old 2 meals to learn how to use it. She is able to pick up pretty much all types of food with this chopstick now.

5 minutes out of the box, my son was eating with chopsticks! I like these better than other chopstick "cheater" inserts because this trains use in the proper way. I would suggest purchasing the the combo set, that includes "step 1" and "step 2" training chopsticks. It's the same vendor Pororo Little Penguin First & Second Step Edison Chopstick Set

My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves using these chopsticks. They make her feel like a big girl using real chopsticks. It is good for grasping some foods (bowtie / spiral pasta) but can be quite slippery for most foods. Not a problem, I usually keep a fork on the side for her. I highly recommend this brand, we have another Edison one and both are great.

Earth's Best Organic 2nd Antioxidant Blend Sweet Potato Apricot, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best Organic 2nd Antioxidant Blend Sweet Potato Apricot, 4 Ounce JarsMy little guy just loves this jar. He is almost 10 months and I am sad that we will be moving away from the 2nd foods and flavor combos. I am impressed with the line of antioxidant blends. I am happy with Amazon's "grocery" business. It is great to have the convenience to order these on-line and have home delivery. I can't imagine going the store and having to get a whole case and go through check out. I try to make him some meals, but I trust Earth's Best and love the flavor combo's and they are so convenient.

My 8-month-old daughter loves this. She typically polishes off a jar in record time. This is perfect for her after nap solids lunch.

My seven month old recently moved into stage two foods and has been enjoying the various combinations that Earth's Best offers. He absolutely loves this apricot and sweet potato blend, he kicks his feet with excitement with each bite -I can't seem to get the next spoonful in his mouth fast enough. He also really likes the sweet potato and cinnamon and the pumpkin and apple blends.

As always Earth's Best is excellent quality and taste. However this particular flavor is not one of my 10 month old baby's favorites. He prefers the combination of fruits without the veggies and the vegetable soups we make at home.

Baby Bullet Complete Baby Care System

Baby Bullet Complete Baby Care SystemFirst, let me say I was looking forward to start using the baby bullet for my daughter at about 4 months. I knew it was going to be a gimmick, but I figured it looked pretty convenient, and my 4 year old niece saw it and wanted us to get it so she could "help" with making the baby food. It truly is easy enough that a supervised four year old can put the short cup into the unit and turn it on and off.

What is included? (in my set anyway)

Six small containers with date dials and lids

A freezer tray/lid for six servings

A batch bowl for larger batches/blender lid

A short cup for smaller batches and use with the milling blade/storage lid

A milling blade for rice/grains/oatmeal

A regular blade for fruits/veggies/protein

A thin spatula

Power Base

Pocket Nutritionist

Cookbook

At first, using the short cup and regular blade, everything was great. The bullet is easy to use, offers helpful suggestions for different foods for each stage, and VERY easy to clean. The storage system is cute, and the dating on the little storage cups was handy when my daughter wasn't eating as much food each day as she is now. I had thought I had found the perfect baby shower gift for my friends and family from now on. Unfortunately, the bubble burst.

When I tried to use the milling blade, it was obvious pretty quickly that when it had been manufactured the plastic on the side of the blade casing had warped and cracked. This made the milling blade unusable, and tore up the sealing gasket when I did attempt to use it.

I contacted baby bullet for a replacement. They gave me a very difficult time about my proof of purchase, as it had been purchased online. Finally I got them to agree to send me a new milling blade (after receiving a lecture about the gasket causing all the problems... what?), and they insisted I pay $3.99 for shipping to replace the milling blade. Uh... no. We discussed the value of good customer service... and let's just say I didn't pay for shipping for the blade. I did receive it about a week after my last call to them.

Now, shame on me for this... but at the time that happened, I didn't check the rest of the pieces. I was annoyed enough at that point and the runaround I was getting, and it simply didn't occur to me.

My daughter is just shy of seven months, and is eating far more food at a sitting. This morning, I decided to try to use the batch bowl for the first time. As soon as I tried to put the lid on the top of the batch bowl, I knew there was a problem: It wouldn't seal. A quick look, and sure enough, both the lid and batch bowl were warped as the milling blade had been, so the lid cannot possibly connect securely to the bowl. This isn't just annoying it's dangerous.

They'll be getting ANOTHER call from me tomorrow. If they replace the parts, I will admittedly keep using the bullet. It earned its two stars from being convenient and easy to use when the products are made properly.

Sorry Baby Bullet... but you need to work on quality assurance on the manufacturing lines. If your product arrived in a usable condition, you'd get a four or five star review from this first time mom. But having to fight with customer service to replace what you just didn't care to make correctly the first time? Yeah... I'll take my business elsewhere, and will be instructing my friends and family not to waste their money, no matter how cute and convenient this product may seem.

New Moms: GET A GOOD QUALITY FOOD PROCESSOR AND STORAGE CONTAINERS THAT WORK FOR YOU! Skip this product. There are enough alternatives out there that will meet and exceed your expectations, don't waste your money.

If you do purchase it, check everything immediately, and before you get rid of the box. Test it all out, and if you have a problem, return the whole thing.

***Update 13 October 2011***

The day after this review was posted, and prior to my calling their customer service, I received a call on my cell phone from Baby Bullet Customer Service. We discussed this issue, as well as another I had discovered -afterposting the review: I found that a couple of lids for the dial cups were beginning to show signs of breaking down, i.e. warping (common trend...) and chipping on the inside lip. The CS rep did say that there were some issues with people putting pieces in the dishwasher, and my set had stated it was dishwasher safe (since changed), that was probably the issue? ...all of the bullet pieces I have have been handwashed only, never in the dishwasher. The product I received is just... poor quality.

We also discussed the smell of the motor in the unit that others have mentioned in other reviews, but we agreed that I should wait to have that replaced, as the motorbase is still functioning well.

The woman who contacted me was very pleasant and helpful, and kept our conversation brief, which was appreciated, as I was at work. She stated that I should receive the items (batch bowl and lids) in the mail in 7-10 days. This was September 26th. Yesterday (2 1/2 weeks after I posted the review) I received the package. The batch bowl as promised, and... TWO dial CUPS. No dial cup LIDS. Sigh. Two of my lids have broken down thus far, it's only a matter of time before more do. I suppose I'll have to wait AGAIN for the two that they've decided I'm allotted this time around, and then as I notice the others break down, contact them and wait an additional two weeks per lid for the replacements?

I will say that it's very clear the quality of the product has improved significantly from my set to the new product; the plastic of the batch bowl is firmer, and is more clear; so some quality issues have been addressed between the production of my set and the production of the replacement parts that were sent. I'd really just like to be able to trust this product and have a set that is safe and... works?

I sent off an email a few minutes ago, and am hoping this is resolved quickly. By the time I have a fully functioning set, my daughter will have outgrown the product.

***Update 7 November 2011***

Emails with Baby Bullet resulted in my receiving four new lids, in two different shipments, a few days after the emails were sent. But, as predicted... my 8 month old daughter no longer wants anything to do with most pureed or blended food. AWESOME.

At least I have serving-size containers to store her chopped & cooked food?

I now have a pretty applesauce and sweet potato maker.

I normally don't write reviews, but there weren't any for this product and being a first time mom myself, I want to make sure someone finds mine very imformative.

So far, I enjoy using my baby magic bullet. I was contemplating between this product and the Baby Baeba and I am so glad I saved the extra money! (I went to Buybuy Baby and used the 20% coupon so 20% off of $59.95 is such a deal!) Granted, the Baeba is also a steamer, but I can steam my own food...the extra step is not a big deal to me as it may be for others. Besides, it's not like you have to use a huge pot...just a medium saucepan is suffice for a whole batch. The only precautions are:

1. Make sure you screw on the base very tightly. I must have not, and the bottom leaked into the actually blender. I didn't wipe it up right away and it dried up in the push-down mechanism of the blender causing it to stick easily. There are 3 "push-down mechanisms" along the rim of the bullet and the problem with it sticking is that, obviously, when you want to stop blending and let go, it can still keep blending until the "push down mechanism" slowly rises up. I just had to clean it up by using a screwdriver to push it up and down until it was "sticky free" again and now it works like new again! (I made sure it was unplugged of course while cleaning).

2. Make sure you DO NOT fill past the max line. There is not a line drawn out, but I must have overfilled it past this imaginary line and when I started to blend with the lid on, it initially spewed out the spout and the sides. this can be bad if the food is still hot. Therefore, I just made sure to wait until the food was cooled down. OR, just make sure you cut the food into small pieces (1/2" x 1/2"). I think when I cut the sweet potato, I sliced them thin rather than cubing them and perhaps that made the blades easier to cut through and causing higher speeds? I'm not sure, but cubing them worked without having to wait for it to cool down. I had a dishcloth over the top too, in case it spewed out.

FYI, for all the 1 stage food babies, make sure you strain the puree before feeding your baby. My pediatrician recommended that to me and I'm glad she did. At first, I didn't think I needed to strain it because the puree looked so smooth and perfect, but low and behold, when I did, there were strings from the pear or parts of the apple core that I though I cut out were filtered out with the strainer. (I used a small metal strainer, the kind you use to sift flour).

One last thing, although it does say that it is TOP RACK dishwasher safe, I haven't tried cleaning these in the dishwasher yet because of fear that my dishwasher will leave soapy residue as it typically does with my tupperware. Perhaps the other reviewer that complained of the materials being cheap, put their components on the bottom rack and that's why it melted? I just pre-rinse them as I put them in the sink so it's not difficult to wash.

Overall, I love this thing and I have fun making my daughter's food. She's been eating solids since 4 months and she eats all of it! I'm going to see if they sell the rubber tray separately so I can freeze more at one time.

I was fortunate enough to recently attend a demonstration of the Baby Bullet as they are being slowly rolled out for sale in stores and although the demo was informative, it was nothing compared to getting the little guy home and putting him to work.

I have two six months old babies in my house who are raring to go for solid foods! So far, thanks to the Baby Bullet, we've hit a bull's eye with avocado, pears and sweet potato. I can't wait to have them try the zucchini I made and froze yesterday for them to try when their three days of sweet potato is done. The bullet is so easy to use and clean up is a breeze. I tried using my food processor, but at this point with the small batches I am making, as they are just trying new foods, it just wasn't up to par. It was too big for the job.

The current retail price, now that they are available in stores (sans the $40 shipping and handling mentioned in the other review), allowed me to purchase two sets for $60 each and if I do come across a problem I'm confident that I can simply return it to the store I purchased it at.

The pop-out freezing molds for storage are just as easy to use as they say. I definitely recommend popping them out into a large bowl or pan. They are slippery little things! They also mentioned in the demo that you can put the little containers in warm water for 20 minutes and they will thaw and be ready to serve, but it took a bit longer. I will go with their other advice of moving the containers intended for the next day into the fridge the night before from now on.

All in all, in the four days I've had my Baby Bullet I have been very pleased. I even used it to make myself some whipped cream for my cocoa, and a fruit smoothie with my four year old! :-)

My son was diagnosed with lead poisoning, and a risk assessor was unable to determine a source in our home. Our water was tested, and we determined that to be a primary source. We tested some products used by our son with a hardware store lead test kit.

The only items to test positive were the Baby Bullet and a lead fishing sinker, which we used as a control. From what I have read, home test kits may give false positives a majority of the time and just a few times may give false positives.

The parts that tested positive were the nuts on the bottom side of each blade component (the green units that insert into the power base) as well as a space between the blades and green plastic, which may come into contact with food.

I got my BB in December 2011. I wonder if it is possible this system could have helped elevate my son's blood lead level?

I called BB and asked how I could get an answer as to whether or not lead parts are used to manufacture the system. I was told to email customer service in order for my concern to be addressed by someone who would know more about the manufacturing process. Several days later, I have not receieved a response. I have been blocked from BB's Facebook page for asking the question: does your product contain lead components?

Several moms I know are very concerned. I'd like an answer. I don't know if all these units were made the same, but I never would have used it had I have known it was made with any lead components.

I've NEVER written a review on a product before. I just found out AFTER feeding my 7 mo old son 3 jars of food from the last batch I made that a piece of the plastic (silicone?) blade disconnected and got chopped up in the food! He's EATEN THIS. I noticed when I was feeding him tonight there was a piece of something hard in his food and I went to check the baby bullet and the ring that connects the base to the blade was all wrapped up around the blade and chopped up. I bought the large and small versions of this container and had lid trouble with each. Kind of a cheap product.

I like these 'cups'! Despite the bad reviews the price was right and I figured if I had problems with the lids I'll deal with it! They work well!! I washed them in the dishwasher on the top rack, they where not deformed. I have not had any issues with the lids. I use them to store small portions of food for my 8 month old twins. Colgate Postura Dual Firmness Eco-Memory Foam Crib Mattress, Infant/Toddler

Colgate Postura Dual Firmness Eco-Memory Foam Crib Mattress, Infant/ToddlerI spent a lot of time researching mattresses (in fact, she was three months old when I finally got this). My daughter will be spending a lot of time in her crib with naps and bedtime, and having a convertible crib means she'll have the same mattress for many years so I wanted a mattress that could handle the wear and tear. I love the fact that this crib has two sides, a firm infant side and a softer toddler side. The infant side is very firm, but doesn't feel like cardboard (as I've seen many comments about this on other mattresses), the toddler side is still pretty firm, but is noticeably softer. They are clearly marked with a tag, but to me the difference was pretty obvious. I love the fact that the mattress is not made with petroleum products, it makes me feel much better about my daughter being so close to it a lot of the time. The mattress is waterproof, no need for those mattress protectors, I just wipe it down during each sheet change. It is very light and easy to get in and out of the crib while fitting snugly in it. My daughter falls right asleep when I put her down, something I couldn't say about her pack 'n play or her bassinet. I couldn't be happier with my choice of mattress and highly recommend it. To me it was absolutely worth the price and I will be buying another one for my next child when they come along.

I love this mattress for my 22 month old daughter. I sought after a tempurpedic mattress but after reading reviews when she was an infant about how most matresses are made of Petrolum, I looked for an organic memory foam. I read through hundreds of posts and decided to go with the cheaper version of this mattress. My friend recently gave us a second bed and I loved that one so much that I bought this one. She will have an easy transition from my room to hers and I won't have to put her back in bed with me when she gets scared at night. If your looking for a good matress for an infant or toddler this one is awesome I don't think kids should suffer with crappy mattress after all would we buy ourselves something as unsupportive as the $45 infant mattress's. No invest the money and this matress will last 4 to 5 year and your kid will have restful/quality sleep

Earth's Best 3rd Foods Variety Pack, 6 Ounce (Pack of 8)

Earth's Best 3rd Foods, My First Soups Variety Pack, 6-Ounce JarsFYI: In the package, you get two each of: Bananas and Strawberries, Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, Tender Chicken and Stars, and Vegetable Beef Pilaf. Good value, though I wish they came in packs of 12 like the 1st and 2nd stage foods do.

This is my favorite baby food line by far. They are consistent and readily available at just about any store. We got this variety pack on Amazon after already purchasing it from local stores. This is a great price compared to most stores and the variety of flavors is great. I wish they had more variety packs available for stage 3, but compared to other products out there it is hard to complain.

Now I am just waiting for the day that earth's best moves away from glass jars. Our daughter has started grabbing these out of her diaper bag and if she drops them on our hard floors it will break the jars. I have broken a couple myself dropping them from the cupboard on to the granite counter tops. I really like the pouches that some lines are doing and even the plastic containers that Gerber does. Glass is great because it is recyclable, but so are the plastic ones if you live in an area that supports that or you can reuse them like we do for storing bulk spices. That is the only the con I have and it is not even big enough to rate this product any lower.

For those of you that cannot tell what flavors you are getting, they are:

2 Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

2 Chicken Tenders and Stars

2 Vegetable Beef Pilaf

2 Strawberry Banana

Our son is now 11 months old and we've been using this brand since he started baby food. The taste is as close to the real thing as possibly. Other brands seem watered down compared to Earth's Best. The texture is smooth and flavorful. I like that they have a large variety of HEALTHY options that combine a whole variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and meats. In my opinion, there is no nutrition in mac and cheese so why bother giving it to them. They have different stages that seem to have been very appropriate for the eating abilities of my son.

The soup variety was tasty-Country Vegetable, Split pea/Carrot, Sweet potato Cinnamon and Squash Bisque. My daughter really seemed to enjoy it. The split pea and country vegetable varieties had nice soft pieces of carrot in there that my baby could chew. The sweet potato cinnamon bisque and squash bisque were thinner, but you can always add small pasta or cereal. Very convenient and flavorful for young palates!

My wife and I love these, and more importantly, so does our daughter. They have a good texture that lets her practice chewing with her limited teeth. I like that there's nice mixes of flavors, not just creamed peas, or pureed spinach, but chunky mixes of vegetables and meat broth. The first time we ordered these it took a while for them to come, but the next two times, they were sent right away. The food is actually good enough that I would eat it with a little salt. It's also nice that we can donate the bottles to our local art teachers for use in their projects.

OXO Tot Fork and Spoon Set

OXO Tot Fork and Spoon Set, GreenThe design on these is great! My son is learning to eat with a fork and does really well with this set. We have others at home are so poorly made that even I have trouble getting his food on the fork!

They're also a great gender neutral color so that if our next one is a girl I can use them again.

MATERIALS: Packaging says BPA Free, PVC Free, Phthalate Free.

We've been using them for several weeks now with runs in the dish washer daily and they still look brand new. They're so well made that I think they'd last no matter how many kids we have! :)

The spoon is the best out there among all the different brands and style. My son would used to get really frustrated on trying to feed himself with a spoon until I got the OXO Tot one. It's hard enough for a toddler to start off trying to use a spoon, right? My son would just get mad, frustrated, and angry when food used to fall off of it and after awhile, he would just decide to use his hands again. But not with the OXO Tot spoon. The curves on the spoon are perfect for the little ones to keep the food on the spoon. Now he likes feeding himself with a spoon again. On the other hand, there are the same curves on the fork which was hard for my son to use. It was the total vice versa situation from the spoon. He would get mad, frustrated and angry that he couldn't really stab a piece of anything to get it to stay on. But then again, it night be that he has already master the use of forks and the curves on the OXO Tot fork really still is requires the scooping action vs. the straight down poking/stabbing action.

Buy OXO Tot Fork and Spoon Set Now

I purchased this utensil set almost a year ago and these are not really useable after the child is 16 months or so, depending on their fine motor skills. The spoon is a great shape and curved just right for making it easier to spoon the food in. But I have to take three stars off for not being able to use the fork at all. I know that a fork can't be as sharp as an adults, but the completely blunt ends make it impossible to stab any food. I pretty much threw away the fork because my child makes more of a mess trying to stab her food and it slipping off the plate than from her feeding herself. My husband calls it a weird and impractical version of a spork. You can have a sharper ended fork, if you are attentive to your child when they're eating. The silicone grip has changed color from several dishwashings. The plastic is just cheap and I can tell it will crack before I can use it on the next child. My favorite utensil set for my daughter, after having purchased several cheap and expensive brands has been the toddler utensil set from Ikea. Very inexpensive and is all metal. You dont have to worry about any plastic cracking at the seams over longtime use and dishwashing. The fork is just right for stabbing food but not dangerous and the spoon is a perfect shape for getting just the right amount of food for a toddler. I love it so much that I bought three more sets.

As a first-time parent, I often make the incorrect assumption that many products for kids are created equal. This is one case where i was pretty wrong.

It is easy for us to take for granted something as simple as a spoon. You scoop up food, transport food to your mouth, rinse, repeat. Easy, right? Not for a 1 or a 2 year-old.

This simple sequence of moves takes a pretty good understanding of how gravity works, how to get food on the utensil, the coordination required to get said food somewhat near your mouth, and the patience to try again when you fail. My daughter had none of this and eating with anything other than her fingers was a frustrating experience for her and us alike.

We had been gifted a number of utensils including the ubiquitous Ikea plastic utensils as well as some pricier and more elegant forks and spoons. Here are some of the problems we encountered, that the OXO set fixed:

* The utensil was too long: My 2-year-old has the coordination of a drunk using their opposite hand. The longer the utensil, the more food ended up on the floor instead of her mouth, so she gave up trying. The OXO set is short which helps her get nom noms to their intended destination.

* The tines on the fork are useless: Many plastic utensils have this problem. Now, a 1 or a 2 year old will probably scoop rather than jab at their food, but it is nice to have the option. The OXO fork is actually more of a spork so it works well in either case.

* The bowl of the spoon is too small: Maybe we were using spoons intended for infants, but there are a lot of spoons out there that don't maximize the shape of their scoop. Too shallow, all the food falls out. Too deep, and its hard to use. Too small and it is not worth the effort required. The OXO spoon seems just right. Maybe they researched and tested this, or maybe they just got lucky, but we don't care either way.

* The handles shape is wrong: This one is a bit tough to describe but unless your munchkin positions the fork just right in their hand, it just wont work right. I think the shape of this set helps her get it right the first time with her monkey grip.

The build quality and materials seem solid, so you should be able to use these over time as your family grows.

green sprouts Silicone Freezer Tray, GreenThis is a bit of a pain to use. A better solution is Wilton Bite-Size Brownie Squares 24-Cavity Silicone Mold Pan. If you search for Silicone molds there are more options. Having a bit of space makes them freeze faster and much easier to remove from the pan. I tossed this one for the brownie mold and am much happier.

This is a great product. I should have bought more initially but I wanted to try it out first. I am very satisfied with this product. The cubes are easy to extract, just push them out from the bottom and they slide right out. When filing the tray, i just use a plastic pastry bag or a ziploc bag, fill it with the puree and squeeze it into each cube. It's much more efficient then trying to pour in the food or spoon it in and there is no mess involved.

This product makes the freezing food process more time consuming. You cannot pop the cubes out directly after taking it from the freezer, instead you have to wait until they are a little defrosted and then loosen each cube and push them out from the bottom. The first time I used the tray, I did not wait until the cubes were slightly defrosted when loosening and went right through the side of the tray. Waiting for the cubes to defrost enough to get them out is frustrating and increases the risk of bacteria growth.

Given that every other type of ice cube tray that doesn't leach chemicals is expensive, this product is the best option. Just be aware that it does not work like a typical ice cube tray where you twist it and the cubes spill out. The cubes need to be pushed out from the bottom with my fingers and my hands get cold in the process. So they are kinda annoying. But it's worth it for the price and the non-leaching material. Let me know if anyone can find a BPA/Phalate/PVC free traditional ice cube tray under $8.

I really like this, especially because it's BPA free. Once my baby food is frozen, I take it out and store it in labeled freezer bags to keep them fresh. Some reviews mentioned it was hard to remove the cubes...the first one takes a bit of wiggling, but once one is out, the rest come pretty easy. I just push from the bottom and they slide right out. So far I have pureed sweet potatoes and peas...2 sweet potatoes or about 2 1/2 cups of peas thinned out with breastmilk (or formula) seems to be about the right amount to fill up the tray.

Nestle Klim Instant Dry Whole Milk- 3.52 lbs each- 6 CansI'm sure this is just as good as Nido whole milk powder that I buy all the time: Nido Leche Entera en Polvo (Instant Milk), 3.52-Pound Container Please save yourself some (a lot of) money and buy the Nido brand made by Nestle at a fraction of the price of this.

ETA: I haven't tried KLIM so I can't comment on the taste but was notified it is for 6 cans and not 1 like I had thought, it didn't show the 6 cans before. I'm glad Amazon fixed the issue.

Kidz Med Pacifier Medicine Dispenser - Kidz Med PCFR-MD

Kidz Med Pacifier Medicine Dispenser - Kidz Med PCFR-MDI don't understand why they don't have this little device at every single hospital, ER, or any place where little kids might have to drink some medicine.

This was the only way I found to get tylenol, motrin, antibiotics, or cough medicine into my baby... They just use their natural sucking instinct, and slurp down the medicine with no problem. It might take 10-15 minutes, but to me it is worth it to wait a little longer rather than wrestle my kid to the ground, pin their arms and legs down, and get their mouth open to squeeze a little medicine into them.

There is also a little plunger to help them along a little bit, but be careful because if you push on it too hard or too much (like when the dropper is full) it might make them gag on the medicine.

I bought this to use with my 2 month old to dispense a medicine he needs daily. The idea is great but this product is not really suitable for younger babies with smaller mouths. The part that goes in the mouth is about the same size as a 18-month old's pacifier, so it fills a smaller baby's mouth and it's hard for him to suck on and get the meds. It's also quite stiff, so it's hard to suck on too. The plunger sticks a little so if you try to use it to push the meds through, baby ends up with a mouth full of meds and gags or spits it out. The reservoir for the meds is quite small so if you use a syringe to measure out meds and squirt it into the reservoir it can splash out easily. Also you need to hold the pacifier with one hand when filling it up, so you only have one hand to work with. I'm hoping that as baby gets bigger this will become more useful, although the 5ml capacity is quite small. For now I am using a nipple from a baby bottle (which has a flat cap so it can sit on the counter while I measure meds and fill it up).

Our 4 month old is on twice a day, 0.7 ml of meds. While she'll eagerly suck a dropper of tylenol, she absolutely hates the taste of her medicine. We were using a large bottle nipple, and just putting the nipple in her mouth and then putting in her medicine. This worked well most of the time but was cumbersome.

This pacifier is a really smart idea, and a great size. I also tried the Munchkin ones, and they seem to be made for a large volume of medicine. This one has a little straw going to the tip, so when she sucks, she gets all of the medicine. The plunger is there only if you need it or for reassurance that she got everything.

We've been using it for the last month unfortunately, she learned to reject it, but it got us over the hump and will no doubt be useful in the future. Now we use her regular pacifier (green soothie brand) and just put in half a dropperful of the medicine far back in her cheek, while her mouth is open for her pacifier. After several sucks, we do it again with the rest of the meds. Her one drop of Vitamin D goes on the pacifier first, so she also gets that. It was nicer to put the Vitamin D drop and meds in the same kidz med dispenser.

So I found the kidz med to be the best of the options, and it worked for the time that we needed it, when she was in the major tongue-thrust phase. Quality wise it is fine, no problems and still in perfect shape. The fit is very tight, so don't worry when you have to pull hard to pop things apart and pull out the plunger. Never had a single problem with leaking.

This little paci is a great idea! It is in need of improvement, though.

It is great for: babies 12 months and older, small quantities of medicine, and for occasional use

The medicine holder only holds about 2 mL and is difficult to shut once the liquid is in the holder/syringe part

The nipple is way too large for the age group that would get the most benefit from it(IMO) 0-6mos

It cannot be machine washed (I tried) or sterilized as it will warp the syringe

The nipple is made of a relatively hard plastic when compared to the soft silicone usually used in pacis

I plan to try the Munchkin Medicator next. I hope it works :)

My poor little guy has acid reflux that would really upset him as he tried to eat or sleep. He'd arch his back and belt out a yell causing mom and me no end of upset.

The pediatrician prescribed Zantac but getting that liquid in his mouth was one hurdle. Keeping it there was another. Until I learned about the Kidz Med Pacificer from KK Cool Tools. It's simple, it's easy, and it's effective: put the medicine in the reservoir, put the pacifier in baby's mouth. Done. No leaks, no spills.

Kidco Multi Slicer with Two Blades

Kidco Multi Slicer with Two BladesThe title says it all. I ordered this to make it easier to slice apples for my toddler, but I don't think it really saved me any time. It took all my wieght just to get this thing to go through a small apple. The blades need to be sharper.

we've owned this for a couple weeks and used it a few time for home made fries it really cuts down prep time. I hope it last a long time since we'll use it a lot w/ all my kids food allergies.

Plum Organics Just Fruit, Pears, 3.17-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Plum Organics Just Fruit, Pears, 3.17-Ounce PouchesBIG FANS of Plum Organics. Great product, easy to pack in a diaper bag. Even our five-year-old wants to eat this and we have to remind her that her baby sister needs to eat it as she can eat anything she wants being five but the baby cannot. Try, you will love it!

my 9 month old just sucks these right out of the tube ... making them super easy items for travel. They taste slightly tart, but he doesn't seem to mind that.

I have to keep a few of these stuffed in my diaper bag at all times! In general I love the pouches for easy on the go food for baby, but the Just Pears are especially nice since they are light in color (dribbles don't stain her clothes) and they are small enough to go through airport security in a quart zipper bag. (The larger pouches can also go through security, but you have to declare the baby food and they sometimes test each and every pouch that's over the 3.5 oz amount) Thus, these are my favorites for air travel. Oh, and my daughter loves the taste too!

I'll only buy Plum Organics baby food and this is just another example why. It's exactly what it says: just pears. No added preservatives or anything. The consistency is smooth, my baby loves it, and the packaging is convenient. I'd personally prefer to make all my own food, but this is allows me to "cheat" w/o feeling bad about it.

Petite Creations 8 Count Baby Cubes, 2 Ounce

Petite Creations 8 Count Baby Cubes, 2 OunceI really love the design of these cubes and the fact that you can defrost single servings so easily. They're also wonderful in that trays can stack so easily in the freezer if you buy more than one. The one complaint is that the cubes often open when frozen, even when filled to the Max. Fill line as directed. I guess it's not the biggest deal since we end up going through them quickly enough to not cause significant freezer burn to develop. Other than this, I've found these cubes to be the most practical ones I've seen.

These are great for storing the homemade food that I am making for our baby. Perfect size! The only negative would be the lid not staying closed sometimes. Maybe they could change to a clasp type of lid?

I really like these. The attached lids are super practical, the size is right for some things (I also got the larger 140ml ones), they shut tightly and they are no-frills, functional containers. I don't use them for freezing, though, I prefer to freeze little cubes of individual foods that I can then combine into a meal.
