Ju-Ju-Be Fuel Cell Insulated Bag

Oh, how I love these fuel cells (OK a lot of Ju Ju Be bags) but I just ordered my THIRD fuel cell because this is a very versatile little bag!!

DSLR:

I got to pack away my heavy duty camera bag, because this little guy holds my DSLR now!! I am super thrilled not to lug around a seperate camera bag for trips like Disney! Since I despise carrying my heavy camera on my neck, I am always setting it down or handing it off to hubby (even though I am the photo spaz and need it back constantly, LOL), but now I just put it in here and attach it to the stroller bar (my fav) with the strap on top OR put it inside of one of my larger Ju Ju Be bags (Mighty Be or BFF) and it won't get scratched or dingedit is nice and protected from shifting around inside another bag!!

Insulation/Food:

I have to admit, I am not sure the insulation is the best (compared to an insulated lunch-box) so if that is your TRUE intended purpose/use, there are probably better options for you, BUT I find it PERFECTLY sized for those pre-packaged snacks (and it holds a LOT of them), like crackers, chips, gummy candy, etc. I can fit enough for my family of 4 (for a long day). This keeps them in one place and they WON'T get squished or smashed in this, even when inside a larger bag full of heavy things!

Bottle Holder:

I also use this as a bottle holder, I can fit 5 large weird shaped ones (like the Vent-Air) or 6 large standard ones easily). I sometimes fill them with water and bring powder to make the bottles, OR bring the nursettes to pour inside. Since I pack formula/bottles this way, room temp is ideal so the insulation doesn't matter.

Oh, and besides clipping this to the stroller bar, you could also attach it to the outside of another bag with the strap/clip (I tested that out) but I haven't needed to do that yetbut it will be convenient if my bags get too full (where it won't fit inside)!

I highly recommend these!!

Sidenote Recommendation:

I highly recommend checking out the Fridge To Go (we have the Playtex Bottle Holder one) for small items that you want to keep at a SAFE temp for a LONG time (we carry pediasure, milk, and yogurt in it). It is a really small bag (with straps for stroller too). We store the bag itself (folds small) in our freezer and it stays really cold for at LEAST 6 hours (they say 8, I think 6 but SUPER cold for 6). Since the bag is lined with the cold packs you don't have to pack any! They have larger ones available now (I think without the Playtex marriage, just by Fridge To Go) and I am considering purchasing a larger one for other things, but the small one we have works well for a few common toddler daily necessities (and doesn't take up much space). Sorry, that is off the subject of the Fuel Cell but I wanted to share since we find BOTH extremely valuable and useful!

This bag is a good size for a few sippies and some cheese sticks or small container of yogurt. However, it is not the best in terms of insulation for cold beverages either be sure to use an ice pack with it or understand that the insulation lasts only 2-3 hours tops (much less in hot weather). I appreciate the top zip compartment, which I use to store handwipes and napkins. Other than the mediocre insulation, it is a nice multi bottle bag. When the weather is warmer, I reach for my Skip Hop Triple Bottle bag instead since it seems to provide better insulation and can be worn as a backpack or shoulder bag (this bag must be carried by hand or placed in another bag). It is pretty, but better insulation and a shoulder strap would be nice.

I bought this bag to transport my daughter's bottles to and from daycare. It easily fits 3 of the large 8 ounce Dr. Brown's bottles plus a *huge* ice pack. There was room to spare, I think I could probably even fit another of the small 4 ounce bottles plus some baby food jars.

My only caveat on recommending this bag: the liner is made with silver ions of some kind, not sure if they are nano particles or something else, which lends it antimicrobial properties. I have no idea what the long therm health issues are with the use of silver ions, especially for something that comes in contact with my baby's food containers. Also, it is lined in Teflon, again, not sure about the long term safety of that particular polymer.

I realize this is a bottle bag, but I was hoping it would work as a school lunch bag for my elementary-age daughter. We previously had a soft lunch bag similar to this that was not machine wash, but to get it clean I washed it several times in the washer and hung dry anyway and the zipper just fell apart. I was looking for a higher quality bag that was machine washable and I came across this. It's more than lunchbags you find at discount stores but it is sooo much nicer. The fabric is beautiful inside and out, it has a clear zippered pocket inside good for small utensils and napkin, handle for carrying and a heavy duty zipper. It keeps shape and stands pretty well. My daughter is happy with it too. So far we've used it for a few months, 5 days a week, and it looks almost new.

I use this tote for my 9 month olds bottles, snacks and solids. It's cute, keeps things cold, and you can fit quite a bit inside. I manage to squeeze in 3 bottles, 2 small tupperware containers and 2 snack size ziplocks of snacks. The small zippered compartment in the top of the bag is great for the spoon. Would definitely recommend!

Beaba First Stage Soft Spoons - Set of Four

These spoons are beautiful, they are colorful and soft. They are nicely shaped and fit well in the hand. The only problem is that they stain. I used them to feed pureed carrots to my baby, and the tip is stained orange on two of my spoons. At five bucks a piece, they shouldn't stain.

I purchased this spoons for my 5month old baby. He loves them!! and He loves to bite on them too :P it is true that they can stain (that's why i gave it 4 stars)... when i started feeding carrots to my LO they did stain! and i was a bit disappointed because they are so pricey but then i read an article that said that for CARROT STAINS what works wonders is to clean the spoons very well and then put them under the sun for a few hours! it sounded too easy to work but by that time i had tried everything to remove the orange stains (water and vinegar mixture left overnight, lemon oil, etc) and nothing had worked so i did it, i washed them and put them under direct sun light for a few hrs and waalaa!! the stain disappeared!!! Beta carotene is the pigment (phytochemical) that gives many vegetables and fruits their orange-yellow color. This pigment is not water soluble but photo dissipating. My spoons were brand new again!! anybody that has had that problem they should try it! heres the link of the posting: this spoons rock!! they do stain but thanks to the sun i can maintain them as good as new!! :P

*extra tip: don't use this spoons on staining foods when they are still hot, wait for it to cool off a little, use a different spoon to mix.

I got lots of different types of spoons as gifts, but bought these Beaba spoons anyway. They are the best!

I started using these spoons when my son started solids at 5 months. So easy for him to eatI love the shape. We have very little mess, as it is easy to scrape his face clean. I love that the handle has some weight to it and is chunky enough for my little guy to grab. He pretends to feed himself, chewing on the spoon (it really is a good consistency for teething too!).

I rinse immediately to avoid staining, and haven't noticed any stains yet. Then again, we haven't gotten to carrots and blueberries yet. :-) Other orange foods such as squash and sweet potatoes have been fine when rinsed. (EDITED: We do have stains from orange foods now. I use the orange spoon for those foods, and it isn't as noticeable. It looks kinda like reflection off the orange in the spoon, although I'm sure it will get worse with more use.) I would prefer not to have to worry about it, but silicone is silicone, right?

All in all, I would buy again even though they are insanely expensive for just a spoon. I will be giving them as gifts as well, they are THAT good. Thanks, Beaba!

I was hesitant to shell out so much for baby spoons, but they are worth it! The entire spoon is silicone, so when my baby starts to chew on them, I don't have to worry about him accidentally chewing on metal. Also, the spoons can hold a decent amount of food, unlike some other brands that I have (e.g. Gerber). Like other reviewers mentioned, they are handle heavy, so whenever I need to set one down, I turn the spoon downward and rest the head of the spoon on the edge of the bowl/plate. The colors are also very vibrant, which is an added plus. Wouldn't hesitate to order these again!

After a couple of weeks of use, I've noticed that the silicone is starting to become discolored due to all the orange-colored foods my baby has been eating (carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, etc.). For that reason, I have downgraded to 4 stars.

Thermos Dual Compartment Lunch Kit, Dora The Explorer

My 2yr old daughter absolutely loves this lunch bag! It's roomy enough to fit her cups, juice boxes and snacks with plenty room left over. I think the compartment at the bottom was genius. Great buy!!

I started making little bento box lunches for my daughters to take to daycare/preschool and wanted a thermal bag that would make sure the boxes didn't get tilted and shaken. This bag worked perfectly to fit their bentos on the bottom and a thermos of soup on the top. Very good. The only thing I would caution is that, although this looks backpack shaped it does not have backpack straps. I didn't want the straps, but my kids thought it was a backpack when they first saw it.

ps. I usually use the Sassy On The Go Feeding Set on the bottom. The compartment also fits some bento boxes I bought at Marukai. The thermos I use on top is the 10 oz Thermos Foogo. There's actually room for two of the Foogo's on top. You can also stick a slim coldpack into the bottom on top of the Sassy box and still have it fit inside the bag.

Only 4 out of 5 stars because you can only make 4 oz or 8 oz. So if your baby is currently eating more than 4oz but less than 8oz you either hope he is satisfied with 4oz or make 8oz and waste some.

We bought this because our little one wasn't a regular formula drinker so it didn't make sense to open large tubs of it, only to throw it away. It's a great idea but obviously you are paying for the convenience. I've been thinking of buying a vacuum packer but wasn't sure it was going to work with powder and worth the time and effort. Also, this stuff is great for long road trips or travel.

I love that I don't have to tote a large can of formula around with me when out shopping, at church, at family functions, etc. I keep a bunch of these in the inside pocket of the diaper bag, grab one out when needed, rip the top off (which is very easy to open), dump formula in bottle that has already had 4 ounces of water put in it (I fill mine at home before leaving), shake, and feed. So easy it's ridiculous! Best on the go product ever!

ThinkBaby Complete BPA Free Feeding Set

I love this product. I was worried about all the pthalates, BPA and PVC in plastic dishes. This is great. The metal bowls come out for easy cleaning. It's also great if you make your own baby food. You can put the frozen cubes in the metal part and set it in warm water, it defrosts very quickly. I love that I don't have to worry about chemicals leaching into my daughter's food.

I was excited to purchase this set for my baby, but when I got it, I took the small bowl out to wash it and found a rust-like stain on the bottom of the bowl. I sincerely question the material since stainless steel isn't supposed to rust. Like others have said, I dislike the fact that the spoon is made in China. Paying this kind of price, I want to see "Made in the USA." I returned the item because of the rust-like stain mentioned at the beginning. I tried to scrape the stain off and it wouldn't budge. Be very careful using this with your baby.

This is a nice set, however it claims to be made in Korea and the truth is parts of it are made in China. The spoon and fork clearly have "made in China" stamped on them with ink that washes off.

Here is the founders response;

All of the products in the Feeding Set except the spoon and fork are made in Korea. We do third-party testing on all of our products to make sure that they are adhere to our chemical policies. We were unable to find someone that could make the spoon and fork in Korea. Although, the reality of it, is that most products that say Made in somewhere other than China are actually still made in China and just assembled somewhere else. But the real issue is still not China. I previously worked for a testing lab funded by NIH, and there was equal concern across every major country, especially the US.

I bought this set when it was still pretty new on the market and was excited about it at first. But before I had been using it too long, the "Thinkbaby" logo started wearing off the product and it really makes it look junky. Now I've had the product for about a year and the lids no longer stay tight on the round bowls (although I do not put them in the dishwasher, so it's not heat that warped them). The rectangular bento box still works well. But long-term, I have been much happier with my Kids Konserve containers. Whatever part of my purchase price went towards the silverware was totally wasted. This silverware is functionally almost useless. The fork will never pick up anything for sure, and the spoon doesn't hold much at all. I would rather my children eat off of metal than plastic anyway, which is why I got this set to begin with.

The plastic outer pieces are difficult to get off of the stainless steel pieces for washing, especially the cup.

I also have a weird rust-like stain on the steel part of the cup, as someone else mentioned in another review.

Many months ago I emailed the company because I was briefly looking for a replacement lid, and wanted to share my disappointment about the flaking/scratching logo and the silverware. Never heard a word back from them.

I love this set for my baby! The mug is just the right size for him to learn to hold on his own. The spoon is the right curvature to get to his mouth and he can do it on his own using this one. The dishes are good for storing food and I love that they are stainless and safe! The bento box is really cool, too. My only reservations are this is a bit pricey and that I wouldn't have needed the plastic orange coverings on the dishes, because since they are removeable, you really have to take the orange off the silver when washing and drying or it will be wet in between. All in all I am happy with this product!

This morning after barely 2 weeks of use the zipper came undone and won't close. Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Classic Lightweight Crib Mattress

The mattress I received had a strange odor. Not a chemical odor, just a strange odor. Couldn't put my finger on where I smelled it before. I called Naturepedic, and at first they said it could be the organic cotton, but I know what that smells like and this is not it. Then, they said it could be the peroxide that is used to whiten the cotton fabric. This made sense, so I examined the mattress in bright light and I noticed that the fabric is definetly whiter in the middle of the mattress where the smell is coming from. I know that peroxide is non-toxic, but I was expecting better quality. I am waiting on a replacement. Hopefully this one is odor-free. I had high hopes for this mattress. Hope Naturepedic doesn't disappoint.

Update: Received the replacement mattress, and it is great. Still smells a bit, but it is the organic cotton smell. I can deal with that, knowing that it isn't a toxic chemical. Naturepedic customer service was excellent. Very friendly, patient (I asked a ton of questions), and helpful.

My 16 month old has the Seamless Classic and has been sleeping on it for about a year now We've been nothing but pleased with our purchase. I'm due in a few weeks with #2 and was looking for another mattress. They didn't have the lightweight last year so I stumbled upon this one and was SO happy because my only complaint about the Classic is the weight. So if you're on the small or short size like me then this one is for you. Plus, the lightweight comes in the seamless wrapping for the same price as the regular Classic, so no upcharge for seamless. I would buy this mattress again and again! I even returned an LA Baby organic mattress because of the smell yuck! No smell here with Naturepedic. When we knew that we were going to have another child, some of the choices were made easily for us. We knew that we would want to buy a second convertible crib, since AppleBlossom will still be using hers in toddler format for a long while. We also knew that meant a new crib mattress. There are a million things to tell you about why I love the Naturepedic Mattresses, but I can give you most of that in their bullet points. Honestly from me though, the things that excite me about how great it is... I can just wipe it clean if there is a diaper overflow. We cloth diaper and our nighttime routine includes a fitted diaper and wool cover. Which most nights wakes up dry, but there is a night or two where she's just a bit more damp than normal. Or there are day time naps, where the wool cover was omitted and that's just asking for trouble. Then there is the sippy cup water spills, and now there is newborn spit up! No matter the issue, there is always the ease of remove the sheets, wipe it down and use again! No need to worry about it hurting the mattress and causing bacteria and things to grow.

The weight, or I guess non weight of this mattress is awesome. Even immediately postpartum I could lift it and change the sheets. No more waiting on the Enginerd to help out with that particular one (the other one however, I leave to his responsibility...) Then of course, I love the fact that it's organic and nontoxic. Those are always nice things when you're talking about your babies.

I love Naturepedic mattresses. I have one for my older child and love it, so I decided to try the lighter weight version for the 2nd child. As cute as this princess booster chair is, it does not work under standard dinning room table and chairs. The base is too tall

and your little one's legs will not fit under the table. This seat does work in restaurants very well but that is about it.

If you want a good booster chair use the Graco one found here on amazon, I have bought that one as well and it is perfect.

Good price and great for every feed!!! I have twins and it was great to get the big bulky feeding chairs out of my kitchen.

This seat is great for her to sit at the table with us but to still be strapped in. The price is right and of course the princesses make it a big hit with my daughter.

My granddaughter is using this and it is working for her now. She is 23 months and I don't know how much longer she will be able to use it. It is actually a little too high and close to the table, which is a normal height kitchen table. I like that it has straps to hold it to the chair and straps to hold her in. It is not as wide as I thought it would be. It would be better if it was a little wider and a little lower. It might work better for smaller or younger children, but younger children are usually in a high chair. I bought this when my granddaughter did not want to sit in the high chair. Her little fat legs are very close to the table, so that is why I think it could be better if it were a little lower.
