green sprouts Favorite Food Bib
All in all, I thought it would be great to take my daughter to my husband's restaurant in (it's a sushi joint)... but, since she didn't even get to wear it once before the image faded away, and, since I won't let her wear it now since it's peeling away and leaving white residue all over her.... it's not worth it's value in cuteness.Absolutely best bibs I could find
I hate Velcro bibs ,they seem to scratch baby's neck.
I tried many different brands and concluded that most bibs are either too small in a neck or made from hard material. I became disappointment in all these big companies that make bibs. Most of the bibs sold in chain stores are very uncomfortable and made from hard and scratchy material. It is sad that little baby's can't complain and most parents keep buying generic velcro bibs. I spend about $70 dollars trying various bibs sold at Toyrus , Wal-Mart , Target , Sears and came to a conclusion that these "Green Sprouts (or I-play as Target refers to them ) bibs are absolutely the BEST for my baby .
I can't even compare them to most of the bibs sold at retail stores , velcro bibs are complete garbage nobody should make velcro bibs with small neck opening
These "Green Sprouts" bibs are almost perfect for my 3 month old . I got 6 bibs and stopped using all other bibs we had .
Pros:
Very Soft
No Velcro
Neck opening is stretchable and soft
Cons:
Relatively expensive
Medium level absorbency

Really cute, nice quality. The dye did run onto other items when I washed it the first few times. But I would still recommend this bib.I have tried numerous bibs and these are the only ones I now use. They are cute and funny, but they also seem to work the best. They cover the front and I position them like a sort of trough between the tray and baby so it catches food. I am not fond of the plastic bib troughs...I find them a bit gross to be honest, but these cloth bibs I love. They also go over the head so baby cannot undo them which had started happening with the velcro bibs. I do not have a problem with them being from China...I just washed them before use like everything else.I just think the Green Sprouts bibs are funny, and at the same time they are a very well-made, practical product. I didn't think the opening in the top was too big at all. It was funny because I bought 4 of these, each with a different food and the only one that had a bigger neck opening was the "takeout" one. Don't know why that is! I also "heart" this brand, so that's an added bonus!Duo Spoon (Set of 2)
Philips AVENT BPA Free Formula Dispenser/Snack Cup
Later on, I bought the Munchkin formula dispenser, and it is great! The hole in the lead is in an angle, so the whole content goes out immediately when you turn the cup. Also, it is smaller and cheaper. By far, it is better than the Avent formula dispenser .Munchkin Powdered Formula Dispenser, Colors May VarySeemed silly to research something as simple as a formula dispenser but I'm glad I did. This one is great. Well made, useful 3 compartments that do not mix into each other, easy to get open/closed. I like that the inside compartment comes out so you can also use the container without the compartments. Get this one!

The good?* It's inexpensive
* It's very sturdy
* The lid stays closed/locked
* The formula doesn't mix with other compartments
* You can fit a lot of formula in each section (at least 6oz, I haven't tried 8oz yet)
* The cup will be good for snacks when formula is done
The bad?
* It takes a bit of tamping and shaking to get all the formula out (and even then you might still miss some--but it's not usually that big of an amount to worry about)
* It's a bit bulky.

I first tried the Munchkin product, and often found it too loose, the formula would mix in with the other sections, especially when it was in my diaper bag. I bought this one as an alternative and to keep in my diaper bag. I found this more sturdy and it locks better into place. I like also that you can remove the sections and use for other snacks. I have two, one for at night and one for the diaper bag.Want Philips AVENT BPA Free Formula Dispenser/Snack Cup Discount?
Who wants a big ugly formula tub on the counter all the time? Who wants to measure formula in the middle of the night? How many times do you want to tell your babysitter how may scoops and how many oz of water...This product saves that.I was buying Enfamil Premium Lipil Single Serve Powder Packets 17.4 g Sticks, 16-Count Boxes (Pack of 2), they will make 4oz of formula and are in packages just like sports drinks...HOWEVER the packaging SUCKS. Baby formula does not pour well and can get caught in the tinest of wrinkle and then come rushing out when it makes it way past. It's very light and fluffy so spills go everywhere. The single serve sticks are also larger, longer in length and can take up space in your diaper bag, you can't fold them up it's just awkward all around, especially to pour them in the car or at the mall, etc. Not to mention EXPENSIVE. Really EXPENSIVE, 8 packs for $12-$16. Meaning 8 bottles for that, when a whole formula case is $25. MAKE YOUR OWN SINGLE SERVE SOLUTIONS!
Most moms have and use either the Munchkin Powdered Formula Dispenser Combo Pack, Colors Vary or a variant of it ( hear its not as good as this one and I believe it). We got a Philips AVENT Formula BPA-Free Dispenser/Snack Cupand I think it's excellent quality and wonderful, the dividers do not "leak" into each other at all since it's one piece mold, and you can just take it out if you want to use for snacks, it's a must have. That said, its so big in my diaper bag. I like to have as much room in my bag as I can, and every inch counts. So I got These plastic bags make it possible. Plus if I have sports powdered mixes, etc I can use these as well for myself. Why not make your own single serve pouches? I looked into a few kinds and these 500 Poly Bag Clear Zipper Shipping Bags 3" X 4" were the best economically, (bags for cost) I can pack 3 or 4 bottles worth in the same space that a pack of altoids would take up, less actually. About 2 or 3 on top of each other is the thickness of my iphone 4. I can fit about 8 bags inside the avent formula dispenser. This is way better than the size more conventional formula dispensers hold. The best way to pour it into your cup or baby bottle ( from experience ) is to pinch it at the ziplock seam, open it so that the left corner is touching the right corner, and pour it out. Never spill a drop, no mess all over the place, love it.
That said I would NEVER Give up this formula dispenser, I actually bought another because I love using them at home. I sit these out on the counter and I don't have to clutter up the kitchen, plus when a baby sitter comes over I just tell her pour one compartment into the bottle and shake. I also fill up bottles of water and have them waiting at the ready so I practically have to nothing to make a bottle when I am tired or relying on others. These are a must have. If you don't want to fuss with the baggies, I would say this is the best compact formula dispenser for your money and on the market, hands down it sweeps the competition. Don't buy the cheaper ones, their dividers SUCK and the lid is iffy. This is the one that works best. Also, the best way to pour it out and get it all out quick and fast is to line up the hole with the bottle and SHAKE SIDE TO SIDE Rapidly. Back and forth, left to right, three or four times and it's all out! Don't worry, you wont spill and the formula wont get mixed up in the compartments. Hope this helps.

The first time I tried it I was ready for her to cry and pitch a fit but nothing happened. My husband held her upright and talked to her and she smiled and cooed the whole time. Believe it or not, I had seen a device similar to this on the show Dirty Jobs (used to collect Turkey semen) so I already understood how it worked and knew I wasn't going to get anything yucky in my mouth. I did about three suctions in each nostril and stuff came out every time. Most of it collected in the white part of the device but I did get a little in the bottom of the cup. It didn't take a lot of suction in fact not much more that drinking from a straw in my opinion. After we finished she was clear for the first time in days...woo hoo. I could hear an immediate difference. I'm hoping we all get to sleep a little more tonight!! I'm betting this will work even better with some saline drops but I wanted to see what it would do on its own the first time.
I cleaned it easily with warm water and a little dish soap. I'm a germaphobe so I also used the tiny brush that came with my Dr. Browns bottles to clean the inside of the device, it fit perfectly. Lastly I put a cup of water in the microwave for a minute and used some metal kitchen tongs to dip each part for a few seconds. Everything comes out very clean. It says in the directions not to get the collection cup too hot so I only dipped it briefly. I always hated that I couldn't really clean my bulb syringe but this thing can really be cleaned and boy was it easy!
Update: Our baby is now 4 months old and we still use this item often. I still think it is great! Unbelievably my son (2&1/2) can use it on himself...he wanted to try, I let him, and he cleared his own nose. My husband and I both use it on the baby and often get enough mucus that a small amount collects in the clear cup. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be able to take a baby that is having trouble nursing, suction her nose quickly and easily, and then watch, as she is able to nurse with ease again. I frequently use it just after adding some saline drops to her nose and that makes this product work even better. A few months later this is still worth the money and very cool.I've been using the regular bulb nose syringe for my 13-mon old daughter. We have three of these at home, given by the hospital and the PD, and another one from Little Nose. Although my daughter is okay with these nose syringes, I think these syringes are not very effective. Many times, after using the syringe, my daughter still have stuffy nose.
Then a friend of mine recommended this product. I got this yesterday and tried it on my daughter today (she is having a cold). It cleaned my daughter's stuffy nose right away, and the tip of the suction doesn't go into her little nose. The suction strength is controlled by me. Well, it appears kind of nasty, I had to suck on the other end of the tube. But the design of the product is very good, you won't suck in the mucus to your mouth. It will go into the small bottle, and you can that happen. Once you are done, wash the whole kit with water. That's all, and the result is great since my daughter's nose is clear right away.
It looks a little expensive at first, but think about babies get sick 5-10 times a year, and it is something you will use it quite often. My daughter had one ear infection when she was 11 months because the mucus didn't get clean out as it should even with using the regular nose syringe couple times a day. Just to avoid the ear infection and reduce the need to go to PD office already make my money worth.

We own four nasal aspirators by now.1/ bulb syringe
Works well, but takes too long. Not the easiest to clean properly.
2/ battery operated Graco/Bebesound (same thing) aspirator
Compared to the bulb it is easier to work with and clean afterwards, but not as effective, because the suction is weaker. OK for thin mucus, continuously runny nose. But even for that, if you have a baby like mine, who cannot stay still for half a second, you'll find this little machine to be too slow. (No, the music does not help.)
3/ Japanese "pigeon" aspirator
Supposedly the suction power is controlled by the parent. We were only able to use it effectively for thin mucus, for which the battery operated aspirator was more comfortable to use. Both are slow, though. We don't have weak lungs, but often we both felt like we got "stuck" and could not suck anything out, yet baby's nose remained stuffy. Maybe it's good for newborns.
4/ vacuum attachment nasal aspirator
This is the best, we put away all the others. It's a clear tube, consisting of three parts. The tip is not intrusive, it does not go into the nose, and it is designed so that the snot does not travel into the tube. The other end attaches to the vacuum cleaner. I know, this sounds scary, doesn't it? We were in Europe where we saw it in action (and I thought they must be crazy!) I bought one, tried it on myself when I had a runny nose and also when dry. No, it did not suck my brain out :) Actually, the suction does not feel strong at all, so it is somewhat surprising how well it cleans. Effective and VERY FAST. My baby has no problem with the noise of the vacuum cleaner, but even if yours does, you can turn it off in max 4 seconds. Winner.

I have a 4 month old and a 2 year old. They both got a cold at the same time.***
This is much better than a bulb because:
(1) You can see what you are getting
(2) I can get out more goobers than a bulb since I have more air
(3) Easy to clean enables me to see that it is clean with no germs left lurking around
(4) Convenient plastic carrying case for travel bag
***
Difficult because:
(1) Sometimes based on the snot consistency, the mucous tube dribbles into the air vacuum tube (not really a problem because you can see it coming, but it will gross you out)
(2) Requires additional arm (one for baby head, one to hold aspirator to nose, one to hold baby arms down you can hold the aspirator in your teeth)
(3) Fairly intuitive if not, good luck with the Chinese
***
Better answer:
(1) For travel, this is the best
(2) For home use, get the Baby-Vac Nasal Aspirator. Sounds crazy using a vacuum cleaner attachment and it will freak out your mother-in-law, but it is fantastic and it does not suck out brains as you might think. As soon as the cold season is over I will most likely be using it as a lunch/snack bag because it is large enough to carry the baby's food and milk as well as snacks and drinks for the other 2. Chicco Caddy Hook On Chair
First of all, do NOT put your baby into this chair until they can sit up fully unassisted. Since my son started solids at 6 months, he was already sitting up, but was a bit wobbly so I put a few rolled-up towels in the chair to support him. It was a bit difficult feeding him at first, since I couldn't sit directly in front of him, but with some slight leaning, it was very do-able. The harness is a bonus, not because it will keep him from climbing OUT, but it keeps him from sliding DOWN from the chair. If you are looking for something you can put your child in and 1/2 pay attention while doing dishes, do not purchase this chair. Any product without a 5-point harness (in my opinion) requires full attention, and since I always give him my full-attention at meal time (or there is someone else there doing it) its not a problem for me (and just for the sake of it, my son has never tried to climb out, which obviously means he never managed to either). Sometimes food can fall between him and the table, but it just falls onto the towel that I keep underneath his seat, and for the record, a LOT more food would wind up on the floor if he still used a highchair. This is because a highchairs tray is quite short compared to the length of our table, so if he throws something, it usually does not end up on the floor (which means less bending for mom and dad!) And finally, the BEST part of this chair is the fact that it is VERY easy to clean! Just wipe it off with a wet wash-cloth, and occasionally vacuum, and your done! NO nooks OR crannies AT ALL, and I hate to say it, but EVERY highchair has nooks and crannies... although some more than others. It also allows my son to be at the table with me and my husband during dinner, which means he learns our table-manners, and is not pushed off to the side in a highchair. The seat IS portable, but we ourselves do not bring it to restaurants (although it does come with us to other peoples houses), since it is a bit of a pain to fold and unfold. Also, many restaurants do not have four legged tables, but rather a table with one leg in the middle, and that is VERY dangerous to use with this chair, because your babies weight could tip the table over if it becomes un-balanced.
Here are the 3 main reasons I purchased the Caddy Hook-On chair rather than a booster seat that you attach to a regular kitchen chair...
(1) The booster chairs common, plastic, hard seating is not nearly as comfortable as the caddy's fabric, and the seats that DO have fabric are usually very hard to clean
(2) Those seats are NOT one piece like the caddy, and therefore they DO have nooks and crannies where rouge Cheerios or crumbs could climb into (ESPECIALLY the ones that have the un-needed reclining feature, and other adjustments)
(3) It means one less chair at the table, and to me, that is not very convenient
I plan to either purchase another seat for my baby due in July, or re-use the one I have, it is the ONLY way to feed your baby with as little mess as possible!I bought this chair thinking it would be great for restaurants and so our son could sit at the table with us at home. We have an older wood table from the 20's and the high chair only fit in one spot at the table, otherwise it worked just fine and he seemed comfortable, although maybe a little low at the table.
The flaw in this product is the material used for the seat. I believe chicco makes a similar chair for slightly more $ that has a wipable/padded cover. If you are sold on this product, I highly recommend getting the more expensive product. If your baby spills anything liquid or soft on this chair, you will need to wash it as the food gets trapped in the fabric and can't be wiped clean. I found it very difficult to remove the cover...at least enough so that I didn't want to do it every couple of days.
It is a little awkward for travel as well. If you want something portable, there are a few other travel chairs that fold down very compactly. This is still very long when folded down, and as mentioned in another review the parts that fold down don't stay down.
I bought this so we wouldn't have to set up/tear down our high chair, but this turns out to be about as much work to keep clean.
Buy Chicco Caddy Hook On Chair Now
My daughter hated the highchair because she couldn't sit at the table like her sister. Now, with this chairshe is eating with us! It's super easy to attach and I like that I can throw the fabric in the washer from time to time to clean it.Read Best Reviews of Chicco Caddy Hook On Chair Here
This chair is very convenient, well made, and much better than other hook-on chairs I have seen. You can set it up securely to almost every table. Its clamp mechanism is very well designed. The only downsides are:
The restraint system is only 3 point and doesn't tighten very much, so babies that can climb could probably get out easily.
The table hook arms don't stay in a folded position during transport. This is easily solved by putting a baby ring around the arms, but I think the designers could have come up with a more elegant solution.
Still, I recommend this chair. We usually have it hooked to our butcher block in the kitchen so our son can be right there with us while we cook. That in itself is worth the price. With all the baby junk we've bought, this is one of the few things that has really been worth it.This high chair is the best. I bought this for my in-laws house to keep there and ended up keeping it with me at all times. It is awesome for the house because the baby feels like they are part of the meal time (important for development). But also because I could bring it to my friends house, restaurant's, and family's house with no problem at all. It is an amazing chair and I will be buying this for all baby showers that I attend in the future!

The size of the tube is perfect for purse or carry-on luggage.
My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to apply around the eyes without pulling on that delicate skin. Still figuring out how to do that.
On the whole, though, I am very happy with this product, and I will definitely want to buy it again when it runs out.I love badger sunscreen! I have a few different products and all of them have worked well. I just recently switched to natural sunscreen, I'm a multi-sport athlete and spend a great deal of time in the sun. I find that this product gives me great coverage, you do have to rub it in or it leaves white on your skin. But really it's not that difficult and it's much better than all the chemicals that are in regular sunscreen. Plus it smells very yummy, all natural. I also have oily screen and worried this product might make me breakout, but since I started using badger sunscreens my skin actually appears very clear and balanced.

I used California Baby stick for 2+ years, but recently switched after CB had reformulation drama. Comparing the two: Badger has a more 'natural' smell (nutty), but I slightly prefer CB (floral). CB is much whiter when applied, and goes on thicker. I'm surprised how clear Badger is! I use these sticks specifically to protect a black tattoo on my arm, so the whitening factor is important to me, and very easy to judge (like testing deodorant on a black shirt!) Badger seems to absorb into my skin more readily, and is easier to wash off. I have trouble with waxy/greasy residue with CB, always had to use soap to get it off at the end of the day. With badger, I don't even bother washing it off because it's not noticeable! :DI also feel better about the ingredient list on Badger.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter. We try to use the more natural sunscreens when we can. It seems to be effective as far as keeping her protected, however, when she gets sweaty it runs and she complains of her eyes burning. While I realize that isn't uncommon in sunscreens, I would expect the specific face sticks to run a lot less and/or contain less irritants. Stick to the sport sticks.Especially for Baby 4-Pack BPA Free Snack Cup with Lids
