Baby Clear Cut Nail Clipper Pigeon (new yellow color Made in Japan)

Baby Clear Cut Nail Clipper PigeonSo this baby nail clipper is AWESOME! We have the pigeon boggie picker PIGEON Baby Nose Cleaning Tweezers Pigeon (Made in Japan) and that thing totally rocks so I figure I would try this nail clipper. Here is the good and the not so good...

THE GOOD:

1. Super Sharp! This thing clips any nail the first time. When working with our wee little one you have to be able to get the nail cut cleanly the first time since they rarely stay still long enough to get a second try.

2. Very Very Well Made. Made in Japan.

3. Good design. It is nice and wide where you hold it which helps keep things controlled and most important accurate. And the clipper is just the right size for baby nails.

THE NOT SO GOOD:

1. Price.... (You get what you pay for so if you want the best then be ready to pay for it.)

2. All the extra plastic bits. There is a 'safety' cover and then there is a yellow surround that "catches" the nails. When I am trying to see exactly what I am cutting all this plastic bits seem to just get in the way. The good news is that they can be removed easily and then put back after your done.

To sum it up this is THE BEST baby nail clipper I have ever used and most importantly it will get the job done quickly and safely.

I've been using this since my baby was a week old. It works very well on cutting his tiny nails. My only complain is it's too expensive!

Trimming your babies nails is never easy of course. BWe tried several other clippers and these just seem to work the best. Each snip always cuts through the nail where others seem to leave part of it hanging. It's easy to grip and we've yet to have a clipping accident with it. Still nice and sharp after 6+ months and working great.

After reading many reviews I went for the best. This nail clipper was a bit expensive, but well worth the price. It is easy to hold while baby squirms, and never have I cut her fingers. Excellent quality too. Looks like it will last.

it's just a regular nail-cutter, but baby-sized and then it widens out for adult-sized thumbs. it does not take out the difficulties of baby nail-cutting in general, but it is better than using regular nail clippers.

Plum Organics Mish Mash - Apple Cinnamon Oats & Quinoa - 6 pk ( Value Bulk Multi-pack)

Plum Organics Mish Mash Apple Cinnamon Oats and Quinoa, 3.17-Ounce PouchesI have been waiting anxiously for these new mish mash varieties to be released. We are big consumers of squeezeable pouches in this family because they are easy, fast, and nutritious. They are much healthier than giving a bag of some over-processed carbohydrate snack. If I'm in a hurry, which is always, I grab a few of these for the diaper bag and use them as on the go snacks. My daughter, 2, loves this new apple and oats flavor. I'm really happy to see grains incorporated into these new flavors to make them a little heartier and to help offset the effects of a diet with too much fruit. The fact that there is quinoa added as well is even better. This means a little boost of protein and a really, really healthy and slow digesting grain (all good things to add to a healthy diet). My only complaint is that the pouches are tiny at 3.17 ounces. My daughter can a eat few of these in one sitting. Most toddler geared pouches that I buy are 4.4 ounches, which seems more appropriate for a toddler-sized appetite. It seems silly to me that these are made so small. This small size is better for baby food, not toddler food. Oh well! Maybe Plum will change this in the future.

I'm an adult dieter who struggles with portion control. This tasty treat is a perfect snack portion and it's healthy, too!

I have ordered these for more than 6 months and my daughter has enjoyed the variety of different flavors including this one.

The most recent lot I ordered had an expiration date of mid-2013 but the contents were spoiled. My 2 yr started to eat it and gave it right back saying it was 'yucky'. This prompted me to taste it and I was shocked to find it spoiled / rotten.

Unfortunately, this has shaken my confidence in these Plum O products. How can they not have anything but perfect quality assurance on products that are fed to young children? I shudder to think what would have happened if my child had not been able to articulate the problem.

I am going to check/smell/taste each pouch before giving to my child henceforth instead of blindly assuming packed foods are good something I should've done before and want to alert other parents' to do as well.

We have been a big fan of Plum products, so it's great seeing these offered on Amazon. This particular product is great for my 14 month old son. I like the fact that they are organic, as well as have Quinoa for a little extra protein (better than just plain applesauce). These are a smaller pouch than some of the other plum products, which makes it great for an on the go snack. My son can hold these and feed himself, so it is a great little snack for on the go. He gets so excited when he sees these that he starts bouncing up and down and laughing, so they must taste pretty good too.

Plum products tend to be a bit expensive, but I thought the price offered on Amazon was a good one--especially when you factor in the subscribe and save discount.

I like these but save these for when I feel he needs a 'heartier' snack. But we go through these so quickly, I like to have a more value oriented back up option. While it's not a complete substitute, I buy the go-go squeeze (GoGo Squeez appleapple, Applesauce on the Go, 3.2-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 48))to have on hand in bulk because they are a little cheaper.

My 2 1/2 year old loves these! He loves this flavor and the size is perfect for a snack. I love that they are organic and include grains with the fruit.

Babys Only Soy Organic Toddler Formula, 12.7-Ounce Canister

Babys Only Soy Organic Toddler Formula, 12.7-Ounce CanisterThis is the only Soy Formula that I can find that has a rice-syrup base as opposed to all of the others that have a corn-syrup base. My chilren are intolerant to corn as they are to dairy as are many others.

My son has a Dairy Protein allergy and was not gaining weight and was colicky. As soon as we got him on this at 3 months old he gained weight and felt so much better. He is 18 months and is still drinking this and loves it. The package says toddler formula because the company promotes breast feeding until 12 months. The formula meets and exceeds the standards for infant formula. The company is wonderful and you can call and ask them anything. This is also one of the only formula that guarantees no BPA in any of their packaging. I would recommend this Brand to Everyone.

Buy Babys Only Soy Organic Toddler Formula, 12.7-Ounce Canister Now

I have used all 3 varieties of Baby's Only formula, starting with LactoRelief when my son was 5 weeks old. We originally tried the Dairy formula and he was constipated, but the LactoRelief ended 5 weeks of absolute hell. My son was sensitive to lactose and we thought it was acid reflux. After trying medication, we switched to Baby's Only and it worked instantly, like a charm. I was very grateful. I wrote a lengthy review for that product on its respective page. At six months, we decided to try Dairy again and my son still seemed a little uncomfortable, so we tried the Soy, which is much cheaper than LactoRelief, which we had a hard time affording. Soy worked great! He took to it with no problems whatsoever. His stools were the same as when we were using the LactoRelief, and he didn't seem to notice any difference in taste.

The only thing I don't like about the Soy formula is that it does not mix well. At all. LactoRelief mixes better, Dairy mixes best. In order to get Soy to mix I have to use a spoon. Even swishing instead of shaking and using warm water does not help.

On a side note, my son has eczema and I thought switching to soy formula might clear it up. It did not.

I love Nature's One, the company that makes this. They are in a neighboring state and shipping to my house is overnight and free! They seem very committed to using quality, healthy ingredients. I look forward to using their products for the last 5 months we need formula.

This formula was an answer to our prayers. My son had terrible reflux from birth that was not responding to medications. We did a blood test for allergies, and they all came up negative. After a lot of research I purchased a book called 'What's eating my Child'. The author suggested that many children may have food intolerances rather than allergies. On my own I became curious if my son was intolerant to corn (because there is almost no formula without corn products as an ingredient). Baby's Only Formula is the ONLY one I could find that didn't use a corn product as their base. Also, baby's only promises that they do not use genetically modified ingredients of any kind (which I feel pretty strongly about). My son took to it well. We switched cold turkey and he had no adverse reactions. His reflux was completely gone within one week and he was off of all medications within a month. He is happy and after dealing with his pain for so many months, I can't even explain what an advocate I am of this product!

My son is dairy intolerant, but not soy intolerant so this was an excellent choice. I love that there is no high fructose corn syrup in it. It has a sweet and pleasant scent, unlike other non-dairy formulas. I would recommend it to anyone.

Johnson's Nursing Pads, 60 ct.

Johnson's Nursing Pads, 60 ct.These pads are the fourth brand I've tried, after Lansinoh and Gerber Ultra-Thin (both disposables) and some washable cloth pads (I forget the brand), and in my experience these are the absolute best. Each type of pad I tried prior had pros and cons, but I have no complaint at all about the Johnson's pads.

I'm wearing them for both day and night, and even after wearing one set all night my bra, shirt, and skin were dry despite the pads being completely saturated. With the other brands, I regularly woke up with everything wet. Regarding daytime wear, I occasionally leaked around the Gerber pads and the cloth pads, as they were relatively small and also did not stay in place; the Lansinoh pads were larger in diameter and had adhesive to keep them in place, but I sometimes leaked through them. Neither of those situations has occurred with the Johnson's pads.

These pads have remained in place flawlessly, even without using the adhesive strip, and they are not noticeable under my clothing. They feel so completely comfortable that I am able to forget they are there. They can contain a much larger amount of moisture, and they are soft and perfectly shaped for me.

The only thing I would change about the Johnson's pads would be to have them individually wrapped like the Lansinoh pads, so that I can carry a spare set in my purse. In light of all the good things about this pad, though, that's a very minor concern.

The contour is great, and the absorbency is fine, but my complaint is the nipple shape, which you can see through your shirt. I try to not have visibly protruding nipples, which I didn't have, so Johnson's provided them for me.

Buy Johnson's Nursing Pads, 60 ct. Now

I use these pads almost all the time as they are comfortable and very absorbent. You don't see them through your clothes, so you can still wear clingy shirts and not feel like your nursing pads are obvious. They aren't individually wrapped like other brands, so if you are planning on stashing some in your purse, you may want to put them in a baggie to help keep them clean.

These are the best pads I've found. They are a bit bulky, but hold the milk in. Others I've tried leak out the side, but these hold up well and are fairly discreet.

These don't bunch and get smushed like the Medela and Lansinoh ones I've tried. The contoured shape means they don't show as much under your shirt either--love that!

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Baby Food, 4.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Juicy Pear and Garden Greens Baby Food, 3.5-Ounce PouchesCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program The product itself is pretty straight forward. It's got pureed organic baby food in a little pouch. Easier to transport than the little glass jars. If your baby eats a lot, there's a lot more food per pouch. The nozzle and cap makes it easy to squeeze straight onto a spoon and feed baby with no mess (at least on this end). Also, since the food theoretically is being transferred from the pouch to the spoon, you don't have cross-contamination of the baby's mouth germs being reintroduced back into the jar of baby food.

The color of this particular product leaves a bit to be desired. But the flavor was fine (to me) and the pear and garden greens combo is pretty nice and healthy.

I echo the same concerns that another reviewer posted. I actually got this product a little earlier since I knew my baby would be eating in a month or so. Lo and behold, once I opened it when he was ready for solids, the expiration had already passed. Perhaps this is only an issue for the free stuff we're getting through Vine reviews; I sure hope so. But somebody ought to think twice about giving out stuff on the cusp of expiration that is meant for babies and their uniquely sensitive systems. This is also relevant given that the baby food comes packaged as a pack of 12. Now, I don't know who would buy a package of 12 food pouches of the *exact* same flavor. Your baby must really love pear and greens. Moreover, I mentioned that each pouch is 4.5 ounces. That's more than 2 glass jars' worth. My personal thought is that unless your child has texture issues or low oral muscle tone, the baby is probably going to move through the pureed food stage a lot faster than you could possibly go through 12 pouches of this baby food (I'm assuming that you're also providing him/her with other flavors, though).

I also recommend looking into the Happy Baby brand of baby food. It also comes in neat little pouches and has organic pureed fruits and veggie combos; but it adds additional Salba grains that are naturally rich in Omega-3s. If you found this review helpful, please let me know!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I ate one of these pouches so I would know what to expect from them. Honestly, all I could taste was pear so although I believe the other ingredients mentioned are in them, they are pretty sweet, and I worry about creating a baby with a sweet tooth as a result. There are few ingredients (good in my book I prefer to eat nothing that has more than 5 ingredients) and they appear to be of a high quality.

I miss the old baby food jars which seem greener to me. If you didn't recycle the glass, you could at least save the jars for storage of small items. The BPA-free packaging of these does make it easy to get the contents out, and the lid can be screwed back on so that the pouch can be finished later, but overall, there is a lot of trash generated from them.

My baby absolutely loves this food! He's been eating Earth's best and Gerber purees regularly, and he will eat those just fine, but when I've given him the Baby Gourmet food, he practically wolfs it down. I've tasted it and it actually tastes pretty good! Now, my only issue with this food is how ridiculously expensive it is. We received about 10 packets for free at an event, and that's pretty much the only reason we tried them. I wish we could buy more but the price point is just a little too much.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I make my daughter's baby food because my previous experience with store-bought foods (granted it was many years ago) was that they were overly processed, foul tasting, and inconvenient. The food never tasted anything like what the label proclaimed it to be and usually tasted rather flavorless or sour, and they were only available in clunky containers that were annoying to pack or store. This looked different so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did.

First, and most important to me, the food is made of all natural and organic ingredients. Second, I can clearly taste the vegetables and fruit in each bite, and I can identify them as greens and pear. Third, the storage container is extremely convenient. I don't have to worry about the package breaking open in her bag and it is easy to serve her exactly the amount I desire.

The packaging recommends that the product be consumed within 24 hours and in my house that is no problem. My sometimes-reluctant-to-eat 6 month old had absolutely no difficulty polishing off a container in a day. And if she did, it tastes so good that I would probably not mind finishing it off. She loves the taste and the consistency is great for someone just starting on purees.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As we were preparing for the arrival of our 7 month old grandson, I ordered this Vine selection for him. He is not a picky eater, but he does have some foods that he will not eat. He gets this funny face, gags, and then spits it up. It is quite cute actually as the grandparent many more things are cute this time around. So after a round of gags with a new pumpkin organic something or another, we tried this pear and garden greens food combo. It is made up of a blend of organic pears, organic broccoli and organic spinach. He face went from gags to smiles, his hands starting to whirl and his mouth kept opening until the packet was empty. And I stood there with my mouth open no, not for this concoction, but because who in the world would think that these three foods would be anything that a human would like. But like it he did. We fed him 7 packets in 7 days and he never tired of it.

Highly recommended.

Revolution Foods Organic Mashups Squeezable Fruit, Grape, 4 - 3.17 oz Packets, (Pack of 6)

Revolution Foods Organic Mashups Squeezable Fruit, Grape, 4 - 3.17 oz Packets,These are basically applesauce with a grape twist to the flavor. They taste a lot like grape fruit bars. We've tried several flavors, and each person has a different favorite, but they're all good. They taste different enough that they would take longer to get boring.

The cap twists off, you suck out the applesauce through the tube, and you can put the cap back on if you need to finish later. These are perfect for lunches or even in the car. The size is about the same as a snack cup of applesauce.

My baby can eat from it easily if I hold it, and it's much less messy than a jar. The texture is not as pureed as stage 1 babyfood, but not as thick as a regular jar of applesauce.

Shelf life is about 1 year on the ones I got.

My 2 year old gets so excited when I give him one of these, you would think it was candy! Travels extremely well. Has never made a mess. (he sucks them down to fast for that) Organic fruits are the only ingredients. What is not to love? I have tried them and YUM! These grape ones are his favorite, but he also loves the berry, tropical, and "The Red One" by Ella's Kitchen. These are the greatest idea in kids snacks ever! When they are older, I will put these in their school lunches. What a great way to add fruits to diets, kids or otherwise. Try these!

My 2 year old is VERY VERY VERY picky. I try so hard to get her to eat fruits and veggies, but to no avail. I purchased one of these, just to give it a try. And she LOVES it! As a working professional in NYC I rarely have time to eat breakfast. Normally it would be some greasy fast-food egg sandwich or street cart muffin/donut. Trying to become a bit more health-conscious, I decided to give these a try. These are FANTASTIC for a quick and easy on-the-go breakfast. Just grab one as you're heading out the door. Only 12 grams of natural fruit sugars, (the kind of sugars you don't mind.) 0 fat and only 60 calories per pouch, and of course, most importantly, they taste great!

They really liked it. I will order them again for sure! Plus, currently made in a peanut free facility.

ELECARE VANILLA POWDER AMINO ACID-BASED MEDICAL FOOD 14.1OZ (PACK OF 6)

ELECARE VANILLA POWDER AMINO ACID-BASED MEDICAL FOOD 14.1OZVery pleased with this purchase. Formula came as described, and well before expiration date. The cans were in great condition. My son needs this formula since he is allergic to dairy and soy.

I tried the gfcf diet with my autistic 3yr son who has various sensory issues and food sensitivities/allergies which really limit his diet. We tried it for six months. At the end of these six months he was diagnosed with failure to thrive. The ped gastro put him on this milk and in 8weeks he gained all the weight he needed to gain without any tummy discomforts. It tastes like a vanilla milkshake. He absolutely loves the taste even though he is the pickiest child we have ever met, only eating about 10 different food items. I highly recommend it.

Btw, the casein and soy free diet helped him a lot specially with reducing stimming but we saw no difference with the gluten.

Munchkin Click Lock Fresh Food Freezer Pops

Munchkin Click Lock Fresh Food Freezer PopsThis is the only way to get my 16 month old to eat his veggies. I pureed strawberry banana and spinach, poured into these and they were ready in about 2 hours. My son wouldn't drink the puree, I even tried to freeze it in a little dixie cup to see if he would take it from a spoon. This was the only method that worked. I think these will stay in my freezer for healthy treats from now on!

I purchased these with the intention of making healthy 'popsicles' for my teething 8-month old daughter. So far she has enjoyed 'popsicles' made with pureed raspberries, blueberries and strawberries to great success!

PROS:

The popsicle is approx 2 TBSP's of liquid. When in frozen form, it is the perfect serving size for my 8-month old who prefers to feed herself. The handle is large and easy to grip. The tray snaps in half which makes it easy to make additional popsicles when 1/2 have been eaten, without the other 1/2 melting.

CONS:

The popsicles are difficult to remove after frozen. I have to run the base under hot water for 10-15 seconds. If I am not careful, the hot water hits the adjacent popsicle, melting more than just the popsicle that I am trying to serve. Also, the liquid sits pretty far down in the handle making it very difficult to eat after a certain point. Typically, the frozen portion in the handle is wasted because my child can not get to it. I realize that it is not a huge amount of food, but it is annoying to see food go to waste. Finally, the tray is difficult to pull apart. I am still not sure I am doing it right. I usually wiggle it until it comes apart on its own which can take several minutes at times.

I would recommend this product to other moms. I love being able to puree fruit and turn it into a healthy snack for my daughter.

Teething. Baby is teething. She's my darling little cherub, but the pain from teething turns her into an inconsolable, cranky little alligator. Enter Munchkin Freezer Pops. Angry biting monster turns into content, numbed-gums toddler. Peace reigns. (For a while.)

Seriously, though, these rock. BPA-free, super sturdy and easy to clean; I'm satisfied. Possible negatives: The pops are tiny. When I opened the package, I initially thought they were too small (1-2 tablespoons fills each one), but my daughter has yet to finish a whole popsicle on her own, so I admit I was wrong. The handle of the pop has a little well to try to minimize drips, which means it's harder to get the last little bit of the food. To me, that's sort of a trade-off easy eating or easy clean up and since I'm usually the one finishing the last of the melting treat, it's not too hard for me to tilt my head way back and just look goofy to get the last bite. Highly recommended.

Edited to add: I'm knocking one star off my review because my husband managed to break one of the halves of the mold into two pieces while trying to get a pop out of the mold. Now, granted, I should also knock a star off of my husband, since, really, running the tray under some hot water instead of brute forcing the pop out would have kept the tray in one piece, but it would have been great if the tray could have withstood his enthusiasm.

Thinkativity Imagine and Learn Musical Mixer

Thinkativity Imagine and Learn Musical MixerMy 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this toy! She is a whiz at it. She plays with it for hours. She is so excited when she plays this. She got it last year for her birthday and is still playing with it 6 months later. It so cute. It helped her learn different foods and words. If she can't find the right thing to make one of the recipes, it gives her hints to find the right food groups...helping her learn her colors too! I can't say enough good things about this toy! If I could I would nominate it for a toy of the year award!

We were very excited about this toy a relative who is a chef gave it to my 2 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas 2009. The toy seemed to work, in that it responds when the child puts the different pieces in the mixer. However after hearing my child get lots of "try again" type responses, I tried it myself. It didn't work as intended. The toy doesn't recognize the pieces/foods well. A third of the time it doesn't "see" a piece at all, a third of the time it thinks it's a different food, and a third of the time it correctly "sees" the food. Because of this, it is impossible to play the game of making certain foods by mixing and matching the pieces.

It was also difficult to tell if you were pushing the pieces in properly sometimes it would respond just to lightly push them into the spot, other times you'd have to push hard until it clicked in. How the item was pushed in did not improve the toy's accuracy at "seeing" the foods.

I would have given this one star, but since I didn't follow up with the manufacturer, I will give it a little benefit of the doubt that we just had a defective toy.
