Rah, Rah, Radishes!

Rah, Rah, Radishes!Who knew vegetables could be so much fun? A picture book just about vegetables? I was skeptical, but the author won me over with her great rhyming and large colorful pictures of everything from carrots to swiss chard. The book has a great read aloud flow, and the reader is encouraged to "bounce for beets", and perhaps my favorite; "yum a yam". This book will bring a smile to the faces of any story time audience. The author doesn't forget to give a nod to the farmers who grow all of these gorgeous vegetables and also to the bees who help them along the way. Kids will see a lot of their favorites, plus a few they might not recognize(bok choy, Kohlrabi), all laid out at a farmers market.

The author provides a brief postscript to offer up the definition of a vegetable and to expand a bit on the benefits of healthy eating. This is a great choice for any child's personal collection, a classroom, or story time. It's exuberance and beautiful photographs make me echo the author's last double page spread: "Veggies Rock!"

As a veggie-hating, book-loving child, l think my attitude towards healthy eating would have drastically different had I read RAH RAH RADISHES! April Pulley Sayre's

catchy chant promoting the joys of vegetables is fun, educational and never preachy. Along with her light-hearted approach to the gifts of Mother Earth, Sayre's beautiful photography turn the produce section into a jewelry display of edible delights. RAH, RAH, RADISHES is a terrific antidote for all the "yummy"-but-not-so-good-for-you food that is so predominate in the U.S. I hope someone sends a copy of RADISHES to the First Gardener herself, First Lady Michelle Obama.

My 3-year old son just loves this book read aloud. He's memorized so much of it, he can just about recite the entire thing. It has become a centerpiece of our daily routines--for example, instead of just saying "Oh boy!", we now say, "Oh boy, bok choy! Brussels sprout!" Some of his other favorite phrases: "Bounce for beets!", "Grab that garlic, please your palate!" (that one really cracks me up), and of course, "Veggies ROCK!" I'm looking forward to either a paperback or board book edition that I can buy for his day care center. I wonder if there might some day be similar books that celebrate fruit or other foods?

My son absolutely loves this book. We originally got it from the library but when I took it back he kept asking for rah rah radishes. He too memorized most of the book and now it is fun to point out all the veggies at the farmers market. It is a very fun book and reads well.

My two-and-half year old daughter loves this book ever since her daycare teacher read it to them. She has every page memorized and loves reading it out loud to us and her stuffed animals. It's a great way for kids to get to know all the vegetables and foster a genuine love towards eating them.

Icy Diamond Tote - Small Insulated Bag for insulin, snacks, teethers (Blue)

Icy Diamond Tote - Small Insulated Bag for insulin, snacks, teethersThis is the perfect size for my kids' snacks. I don't like to send pretzels and goldfish every day, so this allows me to send more healthy options like fruit, cheese, veggies, that my kids prefer cold.

BooginHead Squeez'Ems Reusable Food Pouches

BooginHead Squeez'Ems Reusable Food PouchesAfter getting sick of buying the applesauce pouches constantly, I found these and decided to give them a try. We've been using it these for about 2 weeks and overall, it does the job, but it could be better.

Pros

It holds enough food for a snack or small serving, about the same amount as the applesauce pouches.

It will save you money compared to the one-time use pouches.

It's very easy for my 16 month old daughter to use.

It's easy to clean.

Cons

The top can be a bit finicky, and if it's not closed tightly after filled, it can pop open. I now double check it, press it tightly after filling it, and haven't had another issue with it popping open on it's own.

The cap will hit my daughter in the face or get in the way when she's eating.

It's impossible for my toddler to completely empty it. With the design, the hard part at the top makes it difficult to squeeze all of the food out, even as an adult.

Overall, I would recommend this product, and it's a great alternative to the one-time use food pouches for saving money and being Eco-friendly. I would love to try a different brand though to see if a different design might be more user-friendly.

Not sure how this product got 8 reviews with 5 stars. I wish I could give it no stars. Lids are not secure and easily popped off when my daughter squeezed to get more food out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I have been looking for a reusable pouch and am thrilled to find this on the market. My kids love deciding what goes in them and trying new foods. The design is great. They seemed to have thought of everything! Thank you for helping us moms decrease our throw away containers and increase our kids' consumption of healthy food alternatives!

i thought this would be a great idea to save money from buying those ones filled with food in the stores. but the tops come off way to easy and it is more of a mess and u cant get all the food out anyway

At first I liked it. The lid is strange like others have said, but the concept seemed well thought out. My problem is when I put them in the dishwasher, they didn't come out clean. I put bananas in there and the little seeds were hopelessly stuck, even after soaking.

Luckily I bought them at Buy Buy Baby where they take everything back.

PRK Products Inc Universal Baby Bottle and Sippy Cup Organizer

PRK Products Inc Universal Baby Bottle and Sippy Cup OrganizerLet me preface this by saying I don't usually write such harsh reviews and it's unfortunate that this product missed the mark. But I also worry that the reviews may be misleading and perhaps even falsesomething I've heard about before but haven't encountered in many years.

I am always looking for ways to organize my home since I like it neat. So when I came across this product, I ordered immediately. Especially when I saw all the great reviews. BUT, I'm not so sure all those reviews are fully accurate and have reported this to Amazon. Notice how most of the reviews are not verified purchasers, entered within the month of April within a span of a few days, and if you click on the see other reviews by that person many of them only review this or this and the other universal product. That makes me wondernot making an accusation, but seems odd doesn't it???

Now, when the product arrived I was actually quite hopeful because it seemed like good quality. Decent plastic (another reviewer said it was flimsy but I thought the opposite), VERY EASY to adjust to the three different sizes, came with an additional basket for storage that could be useful, and was about the right size to fit in a cupboard shelf (maybe a little big for the fridge or freezer though).

Make sure you note that if you try to put assembled sippy cups in there, the lids will make it all get stuck. The same with bottlesyou'll have to store them in pieces if you want to use this product. This might be a personal preference but I always take the extra few minutes to roughly assemble things so I can just grab and use. If you use the basket to separate this might not be a big deal, but you'll have to use the same brand to avoid extra effort.

BUT, even when I took them all apart, things just don't fall down smoothly at all. I tried bottles, sippy cups, cans, baby food, etc. and NOTHING flowed smoothly. I made sure to have all the same brand and it sort of worked here and there. However, at least 75% of the time, when I got to pulling two things out, it would get stuck behind the big center column. There's just too much space right there for it to really work. This appears to be a design flawinstead of being so vertical, it probably would have worked if it were more horizontal.

With my first son, I hated all the equipment just being in the cupboard so now that I've had a second I want more efficiency since I have less time. This is a GREAT idea. It reminds me of the old soda dispenser/stackers that a large plastics company used to sell and my mom had. Those worked well but were annoying to fill up (now they aren't needed since the soda companies are making those boxes with the flap to remove). Too bad this didn't work as well. I'm printing my return labels now.

I do not know about you but my kitchen has been taken over by bottles and sippy cups. I have triplets who are still not completely broken from the bottle and drinking from sippy cups so i have like a million tupperware bowls holding bottles, cups, stoppers, straws, nipples etc. That was until this litte miracle arrived. I have two of these units. One holds the bottles and one holds the sippy cups seems how I have so many. It works fantastic! It is super sturdy, it is awesome!

Like probably many parents, I was tired of the bottle drying rack on the counter and the bottles and lids everywhere in the cabinet. This organizer had mixed reviews when I bought it, but I have to say I love it and so does the hubby! I have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend it.

My only caution is this... measure your cabinet space because it is on the tall side and we had to do some rearranging in the cabinets to move it to one with more height.

Works great with my first years and Sassy Growup cups (I store without lids and use the included basket for the lids)

Holds several cups and different sizes all at once

-Too tall to fit in my kitchen cabinets so it sits on my kitchen counter (My kitchen was built in the 80s so they may be smaller than today's standard, I suggest measuring first if it must fit in the cabinet)

-The basket is sectioned off and seems made more for bottle pieces than sippy lids but it works.

Okay I am a big diapers.com girl so this was my first purchase on Amazon because I have heard about this product from several of my friends and dipaers.com currently does not sell it. I also am one of those people that does a ton of research before purchasing a product. Of course this is done when Brandt is put down to bed (lol...).Okay, so I found this product reviewed on SEVERAL sites. I was actually amazed at how many sites I did find it. The Baby Center is always my "go to site" if I really want to learn about a product. And as always, the baby center did not let me down. I also have read all the reviews that the people have posted to this site and this is what I am going to tell you.

(1) It is super sturdy (2) It is kind of tall so i can see if you had an older kitchen it most likely would not fit in your kitchen cabinets. It would not fit in my Mother's but fits perfectly in mine. I would still suggest purchasing it even if you have to have it on your counter, a pantry would work great as well (3) I would not say it saves you a lot of space BUT what it does do is solve the falling bottles problem when you open up your kitchen cabinet doors. Which is one of my favorite parts about this product. Now I can reach in to grab a bottle with ease -vs.knocking ones all over the place (4) I can see what people are taking about when they talk about the bottles not always dropping down. this is true, once in awhile it kind of catches but honestly it takes a half of a second to flick it with your finger to resolve the issue. And like I said, it happens only once and awhile...and who cares when it does, it is not a big deal.(5) I love that it works with sippy cups as well. For ONCE my money spent on a baby product will last me for a few years which is really hard to come by when dealing with baby products. Brandt is only in bottles so I have not tried it yet with sippy cups but cannot imagine it not working great. (6) Okay, the whole I like my bottles put together issue. I am a gal that always stores my nipples and lids apart from the bottles. When my bottles come out of the dishwasher they have that wet stuff still inside so the last thing I want to do is cap it in .... YUCK! And of course, I do not want to try to stick a towel in there and dry it all the way so my stuff is always stored apart. This organizer is great for that because it helps dry the bottles so to speak as well as the basket because of the holes. This is a huge selling point for me -vs.some of the other moms who like to store it all together. by the way, it does store my prince lionheart 7 oz bottles with all the bells and whistles so maybe you have to have one of those super tall bottles to not let it fit???

I really think this is a great product and I am very happy that I purchased it. I hope my two cents worth helps :-)

Munchkin Snack Tower

Munchkin Snack TowerThis is a nice product, but the compartments are very tiny. Barely holds enough snacks for my 21 month old. Great concept, just wish the compartments were a little bigger.

This was well made but much smaller than I had anticipated. I'm sure it would work well maybe for formula, but not what I needed.

This is the best thing ever for my toddler to get his veggies! We just call them "fries" and he gobbles them up. Make sure he has some ranch to dip them in and he doesn't know any better. The carrot ones we can disguise as sweet potato fries and the cauliflower ones really look like regular french fries once they brown. They both taste really good as well. The apple fries I use as a dessert for him. The broccoli ones are a bit hard to disguise as he sees green and immediately turns his nose up. We used to buy these from a retailer in Arizona and we moved to Springfield, Illinois and no one carries them. I have to resort to buying them online for the time being. They are a bit expensive, as we used to get the larger bags (16oz I believe) for much less than these 4 bags combined. But I'll keep buying them if my picky eater will eat them!

It takes some experimenting with the microwave oven to get it the way you want it. If you don't cook it long enough, it stays soft. If you find the right cook Time, it comes out crisp and like "real" fries.

My own complaint is that one of the bags had been sliced at the bottom before being shipped. And, the other complaint is that it was shipped from the West Coast to Florida, which is sort of strange since it is shipped by Amazon.

We have only tried the cauliflower ones so far but my whole family likes them. I heated them in the toaster oven until the edges started to turn a little golden brown and they were perfect. We like them plain or dipped in sugar-free ketchup. But the price here is way out of whack. I got them at Super Target for $3.99 per bag.

Stacking Cups

Stacking CupsThese stackers are enjoyed by both my 4 yo and 19 month old. We primarily use them in water. A fun use... for example-if you fill the 2 and 3 cups and pour them into the 5 cup, it fills it perfectly-great to teach beginning math concepts. The cups nest very easily for both kids. My 19 month old has a bit of trouble stacking them, my 4yo has no difficulty. Best of allthese are made in the USA of recycled milk jugs.

I bought these for my little one when she was 6 months old. She is now 9 months, and they are still a must have toy on the floor when she is entertaining herself... need I say more?

I like these cups because they are made in the U.S. from recycled materials. We use them as bath toys. I don't think that my baby likes them as much though as other stacking cups that we have including, KID O Stack and Nest Cups which are brighter, and other ones that we have similar to these Especially for Baby Stacking Cups , though the one we have includes 10 cups. Both of these are much easier for my one year old to stack.

I think it's the old tension between the toys that mama wants baby to like (natural colors, materials, eco-friendly) and the ones that babies actually end of liking(bright ugly primarly colors and made in China from questionable materials). Though the Kid O cups do come in nice colors Kid O Stack and Nest Cups (in warm colors)

This is such a great, safe product for your little one. I am excited to have found this brand and have almost all of their toys for both my boys. I have thrown out our made in china versions for these safe ones. Now I am not worried when my 8 month old puts them in his mouth. And they are so much fun. I would totally recommend for anyone with little ones.

6 month old bangs the toys together right now, but there is a lot more ore rial from these cups: stacking, water toys, volume education, number learning. really a well designed toy. Also, it's nice to know it's made of safe plastic (BPA, PVC free). being made in America and from recycled goods is that much more off a bonus!

Little Duck Organics Tiny Fruits, 1-Ounce Pouches

Little Duck Organics Tiny Fruits, Pineapple & Mango, 1-Ounce PouchesI bought this for my 6 months old son. When I received the package it was not same as the picture online. The picture that Amazon use is for 6 months+. The one I received is 1year+. So my little man have to wait for another 6 months to enjoy it. Amazon should change the picture as soon as possible!

The snack is good and delicious, but not for my son so far. If they show the right picture I will give this snack 5 stars.

We've bought these tiny fruits in stores and loved them. Our baby is obsessed. We live far away from any store that carries them, so I decided to buy a box on Amazon.

2/3 of the packages had fruit that was either soggy (they should be super dry of course), or there was fruit dust cakes in the packages that made up over half the contents. I was not happy. The company would not respond, and when I finally got a reply all of the unsatisfactory product was not replaced just a portion of it.

If I reviewed this product as we've bought in stores: a 5. Taste good, good size, baby loves them, etc.

As they were shipped: They cost more than in stores, they came in unsatisfactory, couldn't get them replaced properly

We will still buy these off the shelf, but NEVER again online where I cannot inspect what's inside.

Nuby 2 Pack Embossed Section Plate

Nuby 2 Pack Embossed Section Plate, Colors May VaryThese plates are great for microwaving as they do not have the pictures on them like the Disney and other plates that although marked microwaveable end up bubbling up and chipping over time.

Amazon does a poor job with these as they don;t break out the colors (you get random) so buying for a boy the colors they chose for me were pink and purple. I know I took a chance but it would be nice if I didn't have to.

Also, Amazon has a warning for choking due to small parts. These are plastic plates with no pieces. Not sure what child could fit a full plate down their throat.

I was looking forever for a plate that has 3 sections that were not just one big section and TINY other sections and this is PERFECT..she can have her fruit, vegetable, and a meat right there for my daughter. I own 12 of these plates and they go through the dishwasher (top rake) and microwave (very short time is all ive tried so far) and they are not warping or anything. I love these plates. Wish i could pick which color I want, but its ok since they are such good plates (i see them lasting and being able to use them for the next baby).

I was getting tired of melamine plates which break easily, cannot go into the microwave, and are expensive (especially those with characters). So I got these little plates. My 3 year old daughter loves their colors and separations. And I like the fact they are PBA free, and can go both to the microwave and the dishwasher. The price is also a plus!

the main reason I purchased this plate is that it is BPA free. I love the design, the dividers (and the plate itself) are just the right size, and overall it's a cute plate......however........

They don't stack!!! I bought 2 two packs, got one that had green and blue and one that had orange and yellow, so I have quite the cute little collection of plates, but you would think they would be designed to stack! I mean, don't get me wrong, it's not like they topple over in my cupboard or anything...they're only 4 high and they're flat, so they do "balance" on top of one another, but it would be so much more convinient (and seemingly quite easy) to design them so that they actually kinda nestle into eachother. That's my only complaint, other than that, they get the job done:)

Want Nuby 2 Pack Embossed Section Plate Discount?

first of all this plate is sold individually at walmart under walmart's "parent's choice" label, instead of "nuby". the plates are sold individually in the store for $1.50 a plate. it is the exact same plate. same embossed frog/dragonfly design and the back of the plate is imprinted with "nuby".

i bought this for my 16 month old. it's perfect for dinner time. the raised walls that divide the plate are tall, which i love. if they're too short the food just gets pushed around the plate. this plate is deep enough to serve as a "bowl" for foods like cottage cheese. it's a great plate for learning to use a spoon and fork. i'll definitely be buying 1 or 2 more.

Gerber Graduates Lil' Crunchies Cinnamon Maple 1.48 oz. (Pack of 6)

Gerber Graduates Lil' Crunchies Cinnamon Maple 1.48 oz.We have frequently purchased the other varieties, zesty tomato is the best, and thought we would give this a try. The baby seemed to like them. The problem is that I really find the maple smell unpleasant. After two baths and multiple hand/face washings, it still has not gone away. Yuck.

My wife picked up a canister of Gerber's Graduates Lil' Crunchies (Cheese flavored) and they were an instant hit with our one-year-old boy. Now we always have cans sitting around in the house and car. When he gets whiney, a Crunchy will almost always catch his attention. He loves them!

In shopping around, we find that the Crunchies are available in a variety of flavors, but our boy always greatly preferred the cheese variety, so we continued to purchase them. Then, one day we found the Cinnamon Maple variety and decided to pick up a canister. Wow! They really hit the spot! He begged for more, even more than for the cheese ones. Mmmmm yum! OK, now we have another kind around in addition to the cheesy ones.

Personally, I don't see what the big attraction is. They're nice and light-crunchy and practically melt in your mouth. They taste slightly like a very lightly flavored cinnamon roll with a slight emphasis on the cinnamon. If it were my choice, I'd favor the cheese variety.

My son loves these snacks, but I will never buy them again. The fake maple scent is very strong, but pleasant enough at first. But it won't wash off! His hands, clothes, and whatever toys he has been playing with have this maple funk on them. And the worst part is, after a while the maple smell degrades and starts to smell more like pee than maple. My husband and I agreed last night that something in our living room smelled like pee. We thought the dog may have had an accident, but after sniffing around, it was the toys and snack tray on my son's excersaucer! I took it all apart this morning and washed everything, and it still smells a bit. Yuck.

My VERY picky daughter loved these from her very first taste! Her face lights up when she sees the cannister and she sits there munching away. Unlike the other flavors, they don't have that gross smell! These smell amazing! It's like when you first walk into a Yankee Candle store or a scentsy party. I love that aspect, as well as how much she enjoys these healthy snacks. She has gone through just about every snack they have for her age, and this is one of four things that she will happily chow down on. I would be lost without these
