I"m going to send a note to crocodile creek with this feedback...it'll be interesting to hear what they have to say. Surely these things were tested before they were released, so I can't imagine how no one noticed how nearly impossible they are to open!
Addendum: I just put some big pretzels (should try goldfish for a better test) in the container and asked my 4 year old to open it for me. He's pretty good with little fidgety things, and he was able to hold it down on the table securely with one hand and open the latch with the other. (He's had the container for a few days, so he may have figured it out over time) It was hard for him and I suspect that there will be times that his hands will slip and the container and snacks will go flying. So I'm adding one more star, but I still hope the company will redesign these so the closure is easier to operate.Right after I reviewed these, we went out to run an errand at a local store. I took some snacks with us and out them in one of these containers. It broke In half in my hands! Very upset abut this as we just bought these. We are now down to one, and I don't know if I want to buy anymore of these.
