Kidco F710 Baby Food Mill

Kidco F710 Baby Food MillI've had this food mill for about a month, and so far I really like it. It's relatively easy to use, and cleans up quickly in the dishwasher. I was worried that it would only grind up soft foods, but that hasn't been a problem. I've ground up pasta, rice, meat, veggies, and yesterday I ground up a gyros, and the food mill worked great.

One thing I don't like is the amount you grind up is relatively small, and my son (despite being a finicky eater) can eat two or three times as much as the food mill contains. Another thing I don't like is that it can get messy, especially when I'm trying to add more food to the mill. My aunt told me she took it with her to restaurants, but I definitely wouldn't want to use this at a fancy restaurant.

This also isn't appropriate if you want to make large batches of food; I would stick with the blender for that. But if you just want baby to be able to eat dinner with the rest of the family, then this is a great buy.

The food grate is plastic, not metal as the picture shows it to be. Couldn't even make applesauce with it. Piece of junk. The only thing I could get through the mill was a banana, and I can mash that with a fork. I recommend trying a higher end food mill.

I recommend not buying this product. I used it to grind chicken, and was happy to see it working, until I noticed the chicken had a gray color to it on certain parts. It turns out the coating of metal on the grinder was actually rubbing off and getting on both the food being grinded and the ground up chicken. Making baby food at home is supposed to be healthy, but I beleive feeding your child metal is not considered part of their iron requirements.

My grinder arrived with a plastic blade instead of the metal one advertised. I called Right Start and was told I would have to pay the shipping fees in order to exchange it so I gave it away and left feedback on Amazon. Someone at Right Start read my feedback and issued me a full refund for the product which I thought was pretty nice of them since I can't return it.

Please do not pay money for this device. I have nearly popped a blood vessel trying to grind food. It becomes at times a two person job, it does such a poor job with anything firmer than a very ripe peach. The rubber gasket is hard to remove and thus food particles will cake into the crevasses in a very disturbing and unhygienic way. There is no metal blade as the pictures suggest. It is a piece of grey plastic.

I like these better than the Take n Toss bowls because of the shape and size of the bowls. They would be nicer if they came with lids. They are sturdy, but not heavy and held up well in the dishwasher and microwave. Also there's no lip at the top to trap water and make drying them harder like the Take n Toss.

I knew these were kids bowls when I bought them, but I didn't think they meant, like, infant-sized bowls. But that's fine. They're colorful and perfect for ice cream.

Beaba Babypote - Reusable Kids Squeeze Pouch

Beaba Babypote - Reusable Kids Squeeze PouchI heard great things about this from other moms out there. They make their own baby purees and put in there instead of those store bought pouches. We're past the baby puree stage here, but thought it'd be great in lunch boxes instead of the go gurts. My kids love the go gurt but get bored with the flavors. They LOVE mango lassis, and those work AWESOME in here! I stick them in the freezer over night and they do double duty, also as a ice pack.

I was worried how my five year old would react. But, he loves to use it as a juice box. Go figure. My 17 month old works the disposable pouches just fine, but these require some squeezing and he gets fustrated. I'm sure it's just a skill he'll pick up, but be prepared to do some teaching in the beginning. Oh, and you can even thin out regular yogurt or buy yogurt without stablizers for a drinkable *milkshake*. My kids love the wildberry and mango/banana from Traderspoint.

The uses really do go beyond the baby food stage. I did find these A LOT cheaper by googling it. In fact, for around 3 times LESS than amazon. So, do your homework.

I ordered this item because my daughter will only eat puree foods from pouches.

Here are my thoughts regarding this product:

PROS:

1. Easy to clean

2. Easy to fill

3. Basically does the job and has saved me in a pinch when my daughter won't eat finger foods

CONS:

1. Because the body of the container is not clear, it is hard to tell how much food is left in the pouch

2. The cap is sometimes hard to screw onto the body

3. The body is too squishy which can make it inefficient when it comes to squeezing out the food

This has met and exceed my expectations. My toddler who still won't eat fruit or veggies unless purred loves this thing. I was spending too much on disposable packets from the health food store that couldn't even be recycled. Now I can make my own purees how he likes them. Great for the lunch box. There was a slight learning curve as they are a little harder to suck and squeeze the food out than the disposable kind, but he figured it out pretty fast.

It is very easy to load up with food (a standard table spoon easily fits into the opening). And cleaning is super easy. Fill it with hot soapy water and shake, or I can fit the sprayer from my sink all the way into the opening. If it's especially gross, I can turn it inside out and scrub it.

Agreed, the only design flaw is the top should be tethered. It will be useless if the cap gets lost.

I ordered these on the thinking that my toddlers would love them. They really enjoy the squeeze pouches and I wanted something that was similar that I could fill myself. While the Babypote does do that, it does not have any kind of control. If you turn it upside down whatever you have in there just POURS out of the spout. And if you have toddlers you KNOW that they will do that. Our first time using these were a disaster. Applesauce EVERYWHERE. It was awful. And you don't need to squeeze it either. My suggestion for the mfr would be to add some kind of control diaphragm like a sippy cup has something that will hold the contents in if (when) a child turns it upside down. Maybe these are better for older kids but for mine they didn't work...

I bought this thinking that I could give it to my 10-month old who refuses to eat anything from a spoon. I make all my own baby food so my freezer has a ton of purees still in it that I don't want to waste. Unfortunately, I don't think this product will work for us (at least not yet). There is nothing to stop the food from leaking out which makes it quite messy (although not dissimilar to the squeezable purees found in the store). The problem is that it doesn't allow the baby to suck. You can only get the food out by squeezing. Perhaps this is why the product is meant for 1-yr and older? It's a great concept and I wish it worked better, but for now this will remain in the drawer!

Baby Bullet Food System - 20-Piece

Baby Bullet Food System - 20-PieceThis is a great piece of equipment. We used it the first night to puree our meal for baby and it was the perfect consistency. Totally smooth no chunks. I highly recommend if you like to make your own baby food. Our baby doesn't love jarred food, he seems to like seasongs and spices in our food! I just like it for putting our food into and feeding baby healthy meals is SO easy with this!

We got this as a baby shower gift and the second time I used it, it went kaput on me. The company REFUSED to do anything to warantee it. I am very disappointed!

green sprouts 3 Count Waterproof Pocket Bib

green sprouts 3 Count Waterproof Pocket Bib, Apples, 6-12 MonthsI bought these for my messy 7month old boy:-) They work just as I expected them too. They fit great(my son is 19lbs), with some room to grow. Great Value!

I purchased this for my 7 month old baby. It seems a little big on his neck area, but that's ok. I really like this because they are reversible so they can be utilized with, or without, the pocket. Very easy to clean as well.

I bought these waterproof bibs for my 6-mo old when he started eating solids. During the first few times of using these bibs, it seems to hold up well after washing, but it's been a month of use now and the bibs doesn't hold up well anymore. Aside from this, I've washed these bibs many times and every time I wash them, the water turns blue. I feel that this is not safe for my son because he does like to chew on the bibs. I do not recommend these at all! I will go back to the skip hop waterproof bibs they are a much better quality and at least the colors don't bleed!

When I saw these bibs, I just had to purchase them for my new grand baby to be. We had no idea of the gender of the child before it was born, so what luck that it is a boy, and that the whale was the parents' theme for their little one. He won't be using them for a few months, but I have no doubt that they will be used often. They look very sturdy, so should hold up well.

The pocket is not made to stand open at all, therefore it just lays flat against the bib, making it completely useless. They are VERY cheap (thin, poorly made) and the velcro used to fasten them might as well not be there. Definitely keep looking for a better product!

BABYBJORN 2 Pack Spoon

BABYBJORN Spoon 2 Pack, Green/YellowThe spoons themself are great not cheap plastic! However, it would help to know that these are NOT intended for babies...unless your baby has a very wide mouth. I'll be saving mine for when my daughter is a toddler but for now, I had to re-order the Gerber baby spoons.

Overall great spoons...I just wanted to let others know that these are for "larger babies" :)

These are great spoons. Like you, I read a bunch of reviews for baby spoons. What is wrong with us?! Anyways, here are the pros and cons.

Pros:

cute eyes on the handle

it picks up food real good

dishwasher safe

baby likes to gnaw on the handle like a teether

thick enough handle, my baby can hold the spoon himself (since 6 months old)

the spoon is similar enough to a regular non-baby spoon, which I think helps the baby be able to use them when you forgot to pack your baby spoon.

Cons:

oily (especially tomato sauce based) foods tend to dye the spoon handle, but it comes out after 1 or 2 washes in dishwasher.

Stop reading reviews about spoons! It will drive you crazy! I'm sure any spoon will do. :)

These spoons are well balanced, nicely shaped, and easy for my 1 year old to use. The white "spoon" part is quite thin, but sturdy, so it is easy for him to stick in his mouth and get all the food. The chubby handles are rubberized and easy to grip, plus the eyes make them cute and fun. The only downside is they are a little expensive, but worth the price I think!

Want BABYBJORN 2 Pack Spoon Discount?

The spoons are cute and very functional. My baby was 6 months old when we started feeding her purees, and this spoon is perfect. It's round and has no edge that could possibly hurt her, even when she's playing instead of eating her food. The tip is made of soft but sturdy plastic and is very gentle on her gums, but not so soft that I would worry her biting into it. Also, the eyes on the spoon proves to be a great entertainment for babies my daughter would stare at them at times with a funny face. The novelty has since worn off, but she still loves her spoons. And so do I.

Piyo Piyo Multi-purpose Scissors, Pink

Piyo Piyo Multi-purpose Scissors, PinkPiyo Piyo is popular in the Asian Community, and a lof of my friends use their products. So, I want to try this brand. I bought 2 of these scissors to cut food for my toddler because it states"Made of rust-proof stainless steel." However, the part where the 2 steel blade connects was covered w/ rust after 2 washes. I would never buy Piyo Piyo products again.

I have been searching for a pair of food scissors for cutting up food for my daughter, and these are just the right size! Most food scissors are for the kitchen and is too big to slip into a diaper bag. Just wipe these clean before putting into the cover and remember to wash when you get back home! I saw the yellow one which was my first choice for color, but the pink one is cute too.

I bought this because we need a pair of food scissors for my baby. I read the description saying it is stainless and suitable as food scissors that's why I bought it. However, it is really not... the hinge part got rusty after 1 month of use and wash (I do soak it in soap water, and leave it to dry on the rack). Maybe if I wash and wipe it dry right after I used it it won't rust but I just can't do that when I need to juggle a small toddler stumbling around while I clean up.

These are cute scissors... just not as food scissors.

ZoLi BOT Sippy Cup

ZOLI - BOT Sippy Cup 6oz - PurpleI bought two of these straw cups for my 7 month old daughter and they are great! She learned how to suck out of a straw without me ever having to "teach" her and loves these cups. Personally, I love the safe plastic and the fact that the weighted end of the straw keeps the straw in the liquid no matter how they have the cup turned.

The one concern I had about using a straw cup instead of a traditional sippy was possible spilling. But even when she has it turned upside down it hardly ever leaks. Maybe a few drops of water here and there, but no big deal. The end of the straw that baby drinks from is almost solid, but with a few slits cut in it. So baby can easily suck liquid out (no special biting the valve or anything) but it helps minimize spilling.

This cup is great and has survived being thrown to the hard floor many times.

**Update: Some leaking issues and a solution:

My daughter is now almost 14 months and these cups are still my first choice. However, I have had a few problems with them one cup cracked on the bottom (but my daughter does bang them around a lot) and I've had more leaking issues than I had hoped. First, ZoLi was great and replaced the broken cup with no questions asked (and it had been many months since I purchased it). Second, I figured out that the top "mis-threads" really easily. It's hard to even tell that it is not threaded properly unless I look at it from the side because it will feel like it goes on right, but is actually a bit crooked. When I fix this and am really careful to thread it levelly, I have no leaks.

Delilah would not drink from a regular sippy so I decided to go the straw route. She loved this sippy and so did I. She picked up on how to do it immediately. I love the straw on this cup. It is very flexible and not hard to drink from and the weight at the bottom is fantastic. There are 2 very large downsides! First one is they are not easy to clean. You have to get a special brush from Zoli to clean it appropriately and I would not put the top into the dishwasher. Second (and this is a biggie in my opinion) they are not durable at all! I believe if you are going to design a cup for an infant/toddler it must be able to withstand a few throws now and then...not this cup. The top cracked after about a week. I contacted Zoli and they immediately sent me a new cup...unfortunately that one cracked as well. I will definitely give Zoli customer service a 10 in customer satisfaction!! They sent me 2 replacement cups, a replacement kit which consisted of 2 extra straws and the aforementioned cleaning brush! So far the new 2 have not cracked but I am not holding my breath. I am giving this cup 3 stars mainly for the customer service I received and not the cup itself. Although you can feel good knowing if something does go wrong with the cup they will take care of you!

Buy ZoLi BOT Sippy Cup Now

First of all, it is a decent cup. The small size combined with easy-to-hold handles make it a great choice for little hands. The weighted straw really does get almost all the liquid out, which is a nice change from some of the other cups out there (hint, hint PLAYTEX!!!) that leave a 1/4 inch or more in the bottom.

Unfortunately, the cons have outweighed the pros, in our opinion. First, the straw is kind of a pain to get out and put in. It's made of some sort of stretchy plastic/rubber/silicone/whatever so that when you pull it to get it out of the lid it just keeps stretching. You really need small fingers to grasp the straw where it meets the underside of the lid to take it out without risking snapping the straw. Similar problems exist when putting the straw back in the cup. It stretches when you pull it through the hole in the lid. The key is wiggling the straw as you pull to prevent it from breaking.

Second, it leaks. No, it's not a huge amount we've definitely seen worse. However, for $15 we don't want to see leaks at all! The problem is that liquid does not go back down the straw into the cup when the child releases suction. It remains in the straw. As soon as the straw is tipped and touches something (ie your carpet) the liquid is released from the straw and comes out, creating a mess. Again, it's not a huge mess when it leaks it's just something to keep in mind.

Third, the price. In order to pay this price for a child's cup, we expect great things. However, the cheap 2-for-$7 Munchkin cups give about the same results. This cup just isn't worth it. We have found, for those interested, that the Vital Baby Straw Cups (about $5 each) are EXCELLENT.

This is filled with juice however, the product does this with any fluid at all. I don't give my son soda so, unsure as to how the product would respond to that. I really wanted to love this sippy as my son is in his "straw phase." It seems like such a great idea. The great effort it takes to clean the straw would be worth it IF it actually WORKED and didn't ruin most of my furniture. For some reason the mechanism on the bottom of the straw which, in theory sounds amazing, pulls fluid up into the straw and then pushes it out. It actually empties itself. Ridiculous. I contacted the company and the email was polite and insinuated that I might have a defective one. Since I had bought both the green and orange one, I decided to try the other out in hopes of saving this idea as my son does love the cup. I'm now off to rent a carpet shampooer and to research how to get water stains off of my brand new wooden tables. Thanks Zo-Li.

Want ZoLi BOT Sippy Cup Discount?

I thought the idea behind the cup was ingenious. My 1 year old took to the straw immediately and I was relieved to finally find a sippy cup that she would use. At first I only used water and it was fine. Then I started to put milk in it and like other posters have commented on, it started to leak. I was really frustrated because I didn't know why milk was coming back up the straw and making a mess. My instincts where to screw the top tighter and that just made it worse. I discovered after a couple of days that if I left the top looser, the pressure would lessen and milk would stop coming up the straw. When I say loose, I don't mean so that the top doesn't stay on. Instead, just screw the top on but don't force it tight. Liquid will not leak from where the cup and top meet if you tip it over AND it prevents the pressure from building up inside the cup and spilling from the straw. We love this cup!

Thermos Foogo Phases Leak Proof Stainless Steel Straw Bottle, 10 Ounce

Thermos Foogo Phases Leak Proof Stainless Steel Straw Bottle, Blue/Yellow, 10 OunceWe used to own the old Foogo style Thermos cup. My four year old had the cup about 2 years when the top was broken off by baby sis. This was no fault of the thermos, just the reason we had to get a new one.

The old thermos foogo was great. WHY did they have to go and mess it up?? My biggest gripe is that the straw leaks. I have seen comments stating that you should expect liquid to come out of a straw. Well, guess what? The old foogo did not leak. Your child would have to suck liquid out of the straw for it to come out. I thought this was great. This is marketed for toddlers so you should expect cups to get knocked over. Why they felt the need to take away such a great feature is beyond me. In fact, my son knocked his new cup over at his lunch table in preschool. Apparently it made quite the mess. This would not have happened with the old cups. They redesigned it with the same straws in the funtainers, clearly intended for older children. In fact, that pretty much shot any point in getting this instead of the funtainer unless you just need to have a smaller cup.

The other new feature was not a big deal to me, but it may be to others. They changed the size of the cup. Instead of being narrow all the way down, it is now shorter with a wider base. I guess this was done to help fit the cup into lunchboxes better. However, it may not fit well into all cupholders. For instance, it does fit fine in my son's carseat cupholder (graco) but does not fit in my daughter's stroller tray (sit n stand).

The Thermos claim-to-fame, of course, is that it keeps everything super-cold for a super-long time. If there were any other cup out there that did this, I'd give them a shot.

I got this container to keep my son's milk cold while he is at day care since they do not have a refrigerator. It does a great job of keeping liquids cool, and when the cap is screwed on properly, it has never ever leaked. I was worried that it would be heavy for my 14-month old to hold, but is is very lightweight. Also the outside does not get very cold to the touch when it is filled with a cold liquid (another worry I had pre-purchase).

Within minutes of the first use, my son threw it on the floor and the open lid came off. However, it wasn't broken and easily popped back in. I think it may actually be designed to pop off easily so that it does NOT break. I will say it has been through dozens more tosses (my son is in that phase!) and has not separated again.

One thing that DOES separate is the base of the straw from the cap. I will try explain this. When you open the top cap of the bottle, you see the blue screw top with a clear silicone straw sticking up through a triangular hole in the screw top. The straw is actually connected on the other side of the screw top to a larger, round piece of silicone which is the size of the bottle. Where the straw meets this round piece is a triangular silicone base which fits the straw to the hole in the blue cap. So, it's all one piece: straw to triangular base to flat round piece. And that's what creates the seal to prevent liquid from spilling out.

There are two issues with this design: First, the triangular piece can sometimes push BACKWARDS through the hole in the blue cap which means that the seal preventing liquid from coming through is no longer 100%. When this happens, liquid can leak out of the base hole that the straw comes through. The second issue is that it makes the straw difficult to clean because the part where the child sucks is on an angle down to the round piece. From there it "turns" to come straight down to connect to the actual straw inside the bottle. So, the mouthpiece is like an angled "L" shape (and, of course, has a very small opening) there's nothing you can really fit inside to clean it, so you just have to run soapy water through it and hope that does the job. It doesn't do the job for thicker liquids (like a smoothie), and I have found myself digging in with a Q-tip.

However, I would give this bottle top marks for generally not leaking, keeping liquids cool and being very easy for a child to use. Plus, the stainless steel inside and wide mouth make it exceptionally easy to clean the interior. I clean it by hand as that works best, but it does well in the top rack of a dishwasher, too. Would recommend.

At first, I was so happy with this product. It's great to have a way to keep milk cold so that you don't have to rush to the fridge all the time.

BUT . . . the straw disintegrated under my son's teeth, and Thermos has terrible customer service. The rep said that they don't warrant the straw and that I should throw it away and buy a new one. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it but instead transferred me into a voicemail.

Purchased this when my daughter was about 1 year old, liked that it was stainless steel and insulated. It is my preferred cup for milk, in case it gets left out for a little while or we want to take it anyplace, it stays nice and cold for hours. Considering it is sold as a baby item in the sippy cup category, too bad it is just a straw cup, there is no valve to prevent the liquid from dripping out of the straw pretty quickly if it is tipped over. Fine if you pick it up right away, but if my daughter abandons it on its side and I don't notice it right away, it makes a really big puddle within a few minutes. I actually found that the valve that belonged to a Munchkin straw cup I had that I didn't like anyway fit this straw (search for "Munchkin replacement straws" and you can pick up a pack of valves for just a couple of dollars--they are the valves that fit the "Munchkin Stainless Steel Straw Cup" or "Munchkin Mighty Grip Flip Straw Cups"). I cut off the longer, narrower end of the valve that turns into a flexible straw, leaving just about a 1/2" of it, and that end sticks inside the top of the lid; the other slightly wider end fits over the straw. I had to trim the straw from this cup to compensate for the added length of including the valve. With this added valve, now usually only a couple of drops escape if the cup gets left on its side, just whatever was in the top of the straw above the valve. My daughter probably has to suck with a little more force, but it doesn't seem any harder for her to use than regular straws.

The cup has held up well to 8 months of daily use and top-rack dishwashings. All pieces come apart to wash well. The cup has dropped from a height onto our laminate floors and the flip-top lid popped off, but easily snapped back on--nothing cracked. Liked it enough that we purchased the similar "Funtainer" kids cup (and again did my modification of adding the valve)--really no difference between the cups, the Funtainer is just slightly taller for a larger, 12-oz. capacity. If this baby cup version came with a spill-proof valve, I'd give it 5 stars.

Want Thermos Foogo Phases Leak Proof Stainless Steel Straw Bottle, 10 Ounce Discount?

this cup is our favorite, but it wasn't until our son got a little older. we like it because it's not completely vacuum sealed to make it leak proof and, therefore, the liquid inside comes out a lot more easily. if you've tried drinking from a leak proof straw cup, you'll know and it takes a lot of energy to drink out of them. i found that my son drinks more and more easily from this cup than some of his other completely leak proof cups, and my theory is that the liquid comes out more easily. it has a tiny air hole on the top to let air in when you drink, which means if you tip over the cup while the top is open, liquid will spill. if the lid is closed, it is completely leak proof. often, i throw the (closed) cup in my bag and i've never had a leak.

i think this is less of an issue if you have an older toddler who understands that you have to hold cups upright or they will spill. my son is 27 months and he gets that. we still have some spills but i'm ok with that if it means my son is drinking more milk. other leak proof cups also do leak if you put in cold liquids like milk or refrigerated juice as the liquid warms to room temperature, except those leak out the straw, and that is way more irritating for me than the foogo.

we use both the stainless steel and plastic and we love them equally. the stainless keeps liquids cold for hours--really impressive. you just need to make sure the inside of the cup is cold before pouring in the cold liquid. the plastic one is great for everyday use. we've had one cup for about a year and added 3 more to the rotation. they all look new. none have broken so far. the silicone part of the straw does wear down, especially with kids chewing on them, but they don't wear down as quickly as some other popular straw cups. overall, this is a fantastic cup for toddlers!

Bindaboo B1136 Retractable Gate - White

Bindaboo B1136 Retractable Gate - WhiteWell this item works for me my Great Dane and my 3.5 pound Yorkie are both kept off the basement stairs. The retraction system definitely takes some getting used to. Some people need 2 hands to work the "latch" and unhook the gate. I can do it w/ one hand but in 2 steps. Also the "ratchet" noise it makes when retracting is annoying. I guess it is designed to give you an audible notification that the gate is opening? Well if your pet or baby can get that gate undone, they should be smart enough to know not to.

We have 2 small dogs and I bought 2 gates because we have many stairs and want to section off the house when we are not home. I just hate the idea of putting your pets in a small cage. With the extra brackets (which are provided), I can now periodically move one and use it for the deck to keep my puppies confined to the deck. The typical gates were not long enough to close off the wide opening. Also now when friends and family come over to visit (with their dogs) they can also enjoy the deck without having to keep their dogs on a leash. I have always hated the typical gates (specifically my husband). The traditional gates are ugly and always in the way. When I saw the Bindaboo Gate, I liked the idea. The Bindaboo Gate is just WONDERFUL. When you don't want to use it, they just roll up and are completely out of the way. By the way they are NOT noisy (if you hold the button down while closing it) and very easy to use. I have had so many compliments from friends and family. I HIGHLY recommend this item. It is the BEST investment I have made and well worth the money. I have had them for 2 months and I just LOVE IT...

I ordered this gate to keep my 2 chihuahuas contained in one room. I read the product description and the reviews, and decided to order it. (I actually ordered 2. )

When we received the gates, my husband installed one of them. My biggest chihuahua took 2 minutes to find out how to wriggle under the mesh. The fabric is flimsy, and there is just enough room between it and the floor to allow a 7 pound dog to work his way under it. So, I tried to return the gates. My husband packaged them back exactly like they were, and I asked to return them. Amazon sent an email telling me that I needed to work with the seller, and the seller had been notified. I received an email from 123 that they would look into it, and get back to me. After a week of never hearing back, I filed a claim with Amazon. Wouldn't you know it? I received an email the next day from 123 giving me an RA number and an RA form to print, fill out, and send back with the gates. They also notified me that there would be 15% restocking fee. The form they sent was entirely wrong, saying I was returning an entirely different item to be exchanged. I called the company and talked to a representative, telling him that the form was wrong and I didn't agree with the restocking fee. I already have to pay for shipping it back, so what's with the extra fee for nothing? He promised to check with a supervisor and get back with me in an hour. After 5 days, I still had not heard back. I called again and talked with another man, who said he would call me back in two hours. It has been several hours and I haven't heard back. I don't know how this will be resolved, but it has already been far too much hassle. This return should have been a no brainer. I am sure the gates would work for most mid sized dogs. So, the one star review is not for the gate, but for the seller. If you have no problem with an order, everything is fine. But, if anything is wrong, you are out of luck. If you want this gate there are many places to get it online. My advice would be to avoid this seller.

I ordered this gate because I have 2 rescue dogs that sometimes need to be restrained in an area and I wanted a permanent gate that I didn't have to struggle to put up nor trip over. The gate works for my needs, but the company needs better quality control. !st, we received a black gate, not white as ordered, without mounting hardware. Called the company, they said, send them a picture. What? The gate was obviously a returned gate that they sent to us. We did receive a white gate, but the mounting hardware was broken. The company did send us new mounting hardware. In the end I like the gate but expect some problems because the company OBVIOUSLY needs better quality control and is NOT reading the online product review!

This gate would have worked nicely for me if I would have had an appropriate place to install it. I had to install it 2 steps up from the bottom of my basement stairs, which left about a 3" space between the stair and the bottom of the gate. This is NOT the gate's fault; it has to do with the way my basement wall and stairs are constructed! My litte Havenese figured out how to scoot her little butt right under that fence. So I am now the proud owner of a gate I cannot use, even though it is a wonderful product! Anyone need one?!
