Honest Kids Good Grape Kids Drink ( 4x8/6.75OZ)

Honest Kids Good Grape Kids DrinkWe eat healthy. That means my kids drink very little juice and zero soda. By very little I mean I never buy it, they might have some at a friend's house or a party or something. Generally they drink only milk or water. But that means they feel left out when the other kids have sugar-filled juice boxes or caprisuns. Enter Honest Kids! Yes, they have sugar in them, that's what I like. Go look at a box of 'Roaring waters' that has artificial sweeteners (and sugar too, something I never could quite figure out). I would rather my children had a small amount of real sugar than artificial sweeteners. Since they are used to drinking only water otherwise, they like these, they don't complain they taste watered down. In fact if you compare these to a typical CapriSun, its kind of like the difference between a Vitamin Water and Gatorade. When you are used to Vitamin water, (original) Gatorade is going to taste sickly sweet, if you are used to Gatorade, Vitamin water is going to taste like water with slight flavor. Ask yourself which you want your children to be used to?

I've seen other reviewers complain that they are hard to open or messy my 6 and 8 year olds have no problems with them. They put the straw in themselves and don't have a problem spilling them.

Now they don't feel left out when everyone else has a juice box, and I feel good about the amount of sugar they are taking in. At only 40 calories and no artificial sweeteners, this is exactly what I've been looking for!

Chicco Caddy Hook On Chair

Chicco Caddy Hook On Chair, RedWhen my son was an infant, we purchased him a very fancy peg-perego highchair... talk about a HEADACHE! There were SO many nooks and crannies in that thing that it was a bigger production cleaning the thing than feeding him (and this was when he JUST started cereal!). We got rid of that contraption faster than you can change a babies diaper, and purchased this chair... my life-saver!

First of all, do NOT put your baby into this chair until they can sit up fully unassisted. Since my son started solids at 6 months, he was already sitting up, but was a bit wobbly so I put a few rolled-up towels in the chair to support him. It was a bit difficult feeding him at first, since I couldn't sit directly in front of him, but with some slight leaning, it was very do-able. The harness is a bonus, not because it will keep him from climbing OUT, but it keeps him from sliding DOWN from the chair. If you are looking for something you can put your child in and 1/2 pay attention while doing dishes, do not purchase this chair. Any product without a 5-point harness (in my opinion) requires full attention, and since I always give him my full-attention at meal time (or there is someone else there doing it) its not a problem for me (and just for the sake of it, my son has never tried to climb out, which obviously means he never managed to either). Sometimes food can fall between him and the table, but it just falls onto the towel that I keep underneath his seat, and for the record, a LOT more food would wind up on the floor if he still used a highchair. This is because a highchairs tray is quite short compared to the length of our table, so if he throws something, it usually does not end up on the floor (which means less bending for mom and dad!) And finally, the BEST part of this chair is the fact that it is VERY easy to clean! Just wipe it off with a wet wash-cloth, and occasionally vacuum, and your done! NO nooks OR crannies AT ALL, and I hate to say it, but EVERY highchair has nooks and crannies... although some more than others. It also allows my son to be at the table with me and my husband during dinner, which means he learns our table-manners, and is not pushed off to the side in a highchair. The seat IS portable, but we ourselves do not bring it to restaurants (although it does come with us to other peoples houses), since it is a bit of a pain to fold and unfold. Also, many restaurants do not have four legged tables, but rather a table with one leg in the middle, and that is VERY dangerous to use with this chair, because your babies weight could tip the table over if it becomes un-balanced.

Here are the 3 main reasons I purchased the Caddy Hook-On chair rather than a booster seat that you attach to a regular kitchen chair...

(1) The booster chairs common, plastic, hard seating is not nearly as comfortable as the caddy's fabric, and the seats that DO have fabric are usually very hard to clean

(2) Those seats are NOT one piece like the caddy, and therefore they DO have nooks and crannies where rouge Cheerios or crumbs could climb into (ESPECIALLY the ones that have the un-needed reclining feature, and other adjustments)

(3) It means one less chair at the table, and to me, that is not very convenient

I plan to either purchase another seat for my baby due in July, or re-use the one I have, it is the ONLY way to feed your baby with as little mess as possible!

I bought this chair thinking it would be great for restaurants and so our son could sit at the table with us at home. We have an older wood table from the 20's and the high chair only fit in one spot at the table, otherwise it worked just fine and he seemed comfortable, although maybe a little low at the table.

The flaw in this product is the material used for the seat. I believe chicco makes a similar chair for slightly more $ that has a wipable/padded cover. If you are sold on this product, I highly recommend getting the more expensive product. If your baby spills anything liquid or soft on this chair, you will need to wash it as the food gets trapped in the fabric and can't be wiped clean. I found it very difficult to remove the cover...at least enough so that I didn't want to do it every couple of days.

It is a little awkward for travel as well. If you want something portable, there are a few other travel chairs that fold down very compactly. This is still very long when folded down, and as mentioned in another review the parts that fold down don't stay down.

I bought this so we wouldn't have to set up/tear down our high chair, but this turns out to be about as much work to keep clean.

My daughter hated the highchair because she couldn't sit at the table like her sister. Now, with this chairshe is eating with us! It's super easy to attach and I like that I can throw the fabric in the washer from time to time to clean it.

This chair is very convenient, well made, and much better than other hook-on chairs I have seen. You can set it up securely to almost every table. Its clamp mechanism is very well designed.

The only downsides are:

The restraint system is only 3 point and doesn't tighten very much, so babies that can climb could probably get out easily.

The table hook arms don't stay in a folded position during transport. This is easily solved by putting a baby ring around the arms, but I think the designers could have come up with a more elegant solution.

Still, I recommend this chair. We usually have it hooked to our butcher block in the kitchen so our son can be right there with us while we cook. That in itself is worth the price. With all the baby junk we've bought, this is one of the few things that has really been worth it.

This high chair is the best. I bought this for my in-laws house to keep there and ended up keeping it with me at all times. It is awesome for the house because the baby feels like they are part of the meal time (important for development). But also because I could bring it to my friends house, restaurant's, and family's house with no problem at all. It is an amazing chair and I will be buying this for all baby showers that I attend in the future!

Ikea 36 Pcs Kalas Kids Plastic BPA Free Flatware, Bowl, Plate, Tumbler Set, Colorful

Ikea 36 Pcs Kalas Kids Plastic BPA Free Flatware, Bowl, Plate, Tumbler Set, ColorfulLike most people with toddlers, my cupboards were overflowing with mismatched dishes. I had to do something, and after reading the reviews i was attracted to these primarily because they are microwave safe. Now that I have them, I couldn't be happier. The colors are bright and fun. The dishes are the perfect size. The flatware is big enough that she will be able to use it for years to come, the spoons actually hold food, the forks easily grab onto things, and the handles are thick enough for little hands to hold. The lip on the plates help keep everything on the plate when she is digging in, and the little cups are short enough that I don't worry about her knocking them over. Best of allthey all stack!! Great buyin fact, I might grab another set to give as a gift!

I bought this set for myself to take to work to use for lunch. It's just the right size for smaller meals, so is not just for kids. The colors are cheerful and the set is heavy enough that I believe it will be very durable.

I have bought a few other kids plates and cups over the years and these are by far the sturdiest. The plastic is very thick and sturdy. I am very impressed. My kids are 2,4,6 and they love to pick the colors that they are going to eat with.

I absolutely love these! My daughter is one and a half and she can use them! They are a little large for her but the forks actually keep food on the spokes, they are a bit pointy but very kid friendly. They're super sturdy, non of this flimsy plastic crap. Love love love them.

I haven't had these very long but they seem to be wearing well (they haven't stained or turned white in spots from the microwave/dishwasher). The large handles make it easier for kids to use and the mix and match colors are fun. For the price I paid and the amount of stuff I got, I have no regrets. Very good purchase.

Happy Baby Organic Baby Food Stage 3 Mama Grain -- 4 oz

Happy Baby Organic Baby Food Stage 3 Mama Grain -- 4 ozI've tried pretty much every type of organic pouch food currently available with my toddler son. I like all of the Happy Baby foods EXCEPT for this Mama Grain. Yuck. I bought a multi-pack of these and have tried to force my son to eat this one. But I really can't blame him for disliking it -I've tasted all of the Happy Baby meals and this one just makes me gag, which is a bummer since this is the only pouch meal that seems to be appropriate for breakfast. Would recommend avoiding Mama Grain.

Obviously all babies have different taste preferences so far be it from me to criticize the other reviewer's assessment of this product; however, my baby loves this flavor and I do too. I love that it is black beans and quinoa because it saves me from having to open a whole can of beans or cook a whole pot of quinoa just for one serving of baby food. I suppose one could make large batches ahead of time and freeze, but my freezer is overflowing with baby purees! From what my son has tried of this line of food he has liked. I look forward to trying more flavors.

This food is def healthy but way too thick and dry. My son will not eat it. I found the gobble gobble similar but I mix it with broth now and he eats a bit. Disappointed.

Don't know what these other reviewers are talking about--my kid loves this stuff and even I steal a few bites.

My baby HATED this when he was first ready to move on past the stage 2 foods. The texture is very different because of the quinoa. He also didn't liked purees with chunks. Now he's 17 months old and LOVES this pouch (which I saved for 8 months since I also bought a multi-pack). I transfer it to a bowl and he uses a spoon to eat it. It's great because it doesn't fall off the spoon very easily. It's very sweet, and maybe too strong flavored for the little ones.

Juvenile Solutions Baby Cubes Baby Food Storage - Eight 2 Ounce Cubes

Juvenile Solutions Baby Cubes Baby Food Storage - Eight 2 Ounce CubesI make all my own baby food, so I needed a food storage system that worked for us and these are perfect! The 2 oz size is perfect for us right now (my son is 9 months old), but if he's still hungry, it's easy to just grab another one! We have several set of these, and they do stack nicely on top of each other for convenient storage. The cubes "lock" into place in their tray but that makes it easy to carry them to the freezer it's not designed to hold them in place upside down! The cubes themselves have securely closing lids but if you fill them past the max line, they do sometimes pop open in the freezer (I just used those first, before they can get freezer burn!). They are not very good for travel, though, as the lids can come open fairly easily in a bag but it's very easy to pop the food out of the cube and put it in a sealed bowl for later! They are also microwave and dishwasher safe, but I don't microwave mine, and I only hand wash them I want to use them again and again for future kids, so I want them to last as long as possible! I absolutely love these, and I think they're a must for anyone who wants to make homemade baby food. They're the cheapest and best product on the market for freezer storage!

I don't like these cubes at all -what a big waste of money. I sold them back to consignment after only a week of trying to use them. The covers are not watertight, so they will leak if you try to carry them out with you. The cubes do not lock easily into the tray and are constantly popping back out, so it is actually impossible to put them into the dishwasher as a single piece (as shown in the photo). I ended up just buying tiny gladware bowls and that is working so much better (and was so much cheaper!!).

These baby cubes are great. They do no leak if you throw them into a bag and they are so compact in the freezer. It is much better than freezing purees in ice cube trays and then having to store them in freezer bags. It is great to be able to take a small amount out to use at a time.

After trying Beaba and other baby food storage systems, these Baby Cubes are a relief. They work great to freeze, defrost, transport, and serve homemade baby food. I also use them as a compact container for snacks and for powdered formula, which I much prefer over the cute, but large size containers sold for such purposes. The containers and attached lids are sturdy even while being jostled around in a diaper bag. I ordered the 2 oz. size, which has been perfect for our needs, but could see where the company could do well to develop a 3 oz size option as well. Good product idea and good quality.

These storage cubes seemed great because the lids are attached, meaning no worrying about dropping/losing the lids. And while this is a great feature, it is top-heavy when empty (or only slightly full) and open. I use these to send snack puffs to daycare with my daughter, and they aren't heavy enough to weigh the bottom down. So whenever I'm filling it, or if I open it and set it down, it will fall over and the contents fall out. It's still a great size for snacks (I haven't tried freezing anything in it) and throwing it in the diaper bag. Just be aware.

Remwood Prod. 60018 Grandma's Lye Soap

Remwood Prod. 60018 Grandma's Lye SoapIngredients: Food grade lard, lye, water.

Smell: It just smells like unscented soap. Much like Ivory or Neutrogena bar soap. It doesn't smell "porky" or "lardy" to me at all. The smell is a bit strong if you're sniffing the bar, but once you rinse it off your skin, it doesn't leave much of any smell at all on your body.

Shape: It is a large bar of soap, with squared edges. So it's kind of hard to hold it, and use it when you first get it. But after a few days it rounds out a bit, and is fine.

Lather: It lathers up bit, but not very much. So don't be disappointed if you don't get a rich, thick lather from it.

Body soap: It absolutely gets you clean, and scent free. But it leaves a scummy residue behind on your body, even if you rinse well, leaving your skin kind of sticky feeling, exactly like Ivory, or Dial, or Irish Springs bars of soap do. I prefer Dove bar soap, or a liquid soap to wash my body with, since they don't leave me feeling sticky after I get out of the shower.

Shampoo: If you run out of shampoo and conditioner, you *can* use this instead. It will get your hair clean, and allow you to run a comb through it afterwards. BUT... this is not exactly preferable. Your hair will *not* be as soft, shiny, and silky as it would be with a good shampoo and conditioner. However, if you have short hair, it will leave your hair with lots of body and texture, and super easy to style.

Hand soap: I can't get over how soft my hands are. I wash my hands a LOT during the day, and I've always used a bit of fragrance-free Curel lotion, after washing them. Now, even without the lotion, my hands feel incredibly soft.

Rashes: I've had a rash on my wrist for several months now, from my watch. I've tried everything to get rid of it. Stopped wearing the watch, tried anti-fungal cream, neosporin, topical steroid cream. Within two days of using the soap, the rash started going away. I kind of think it must be coincidence. I don't know how a product that doesn't have anything in it except lard and lye could clear up a rash. But it is a bit amazing. If I get any more rashes, I'll try the soap on it again, and see if it works again.

Face soap: I've found the holy grail of face soaps. I will never use any other soap on my face. I had great skin up until my mid 20's when all of a sudden, each pore grew to the size of Texas, and each pore was just filled with dirt and oil. I couldn't get rid of it. No matter how many times a day I washed my face, or what kind of soap I used, nothing helped. The only thing that helped at all was the sulfur mask, by Proactive, but if I used that very often, it dried my skin out really bad. My skin was both too dry AND too oily, all at the same time. Flaky areas, surrounded by oil patches. Did I mention the hundreds of black-heads, white-heads, and the occasional zit the size of Mt. Everest? So for the last 10 years or so, I've had to live with this embarrassing skin.

The first time I washed my face with Grandma's Lye Soap, I noticed my pores looked smaller, and my face felt very soft. By day two of using it, I noticed a reduction of blackheads, and the few zits I had on my face were going away, and no new ones were appearing. By day three, I was completely hooked on this soap. My skin hasn't looked this good since before I hit puberty. The dry flaky areas are completely gone. The oil patches are still there, but much reduced. The blackheads, whiteheads, and zits are almost completely gone. My pores look much smaller and tighter. I am using some Clinique face lotion, after I wash my face, but that is it. I am so astonished... I can't get over how great my skin looks, and my skin is as soft as a baby's bottom!

UPDATE: I've been using this soap on my face for several months now, and I still love it. However, my face did start drying out from it pretty bad. Getting rid of the acne was worth it to me though. So now, after I use the soap, I use a tiny bit of oil on my face (olive oil or almond oil) instead of lotion. My skin looks fantastic.

In just 3 days, I noticed a significant difference in my skin!! I'll NEVER go back to any other soap, ugh! I no longer need lotions, acne face wash or foundation. That's right! I've been using this soap for only two weeks and it has fully restored my skin to the point that I don't even need foundation. I can't be happier!

Lye soap is rumored to be good for all kinds of complaints, including rosacea, eczema, poison ivy, dandruf, oily skin, oily hair, and even as the wrapper on this soap suggests foul mouthed children.

I've had my eczema under control for a few years, but not my dandruf. My skin and hair have remained oily no matter what I do not for lack of trying to control it, mind you. After a move, I started to have a pretty bad outbreak. I remmebered seeing this stuff in a local hardware store, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Oily skin? Not anymore. Hair? Nope. Dandruf? Seems under control. Eczema? It's only been a few days, but it's coming back under control.

Holy cow, this stuff is good.

1 x Baby Freezer Tray - Perfect for Freezing Baby Sized Portions of Food

1 x Baby Freezer Tray - Perfect for Freezing Baby Sized Portions of FoodThis is exactly what I needed to make easy to thaw baby food. The silicone is sturdy, not wimpy, so it easily transfers from counter to freezer without a tray or any other support. The frozen sticks are easy to pop out and transfer to a freezer bag for batching foods. The portion size is also good for mixing and matching, so as baby eats more solids, you can use one stick of several kinds of food together; for example I mix one stick of apple with one stick of pear for a 2 oz serving of fruit as a variety instead of 2 oz of only apple.
