Like most people with toddlers, my cupboards were overflowing with mismatched dishes. I had to do something, and after reading the reviews i was attracted to these primarily because they are microwave safe. Now that I have them, I couldn't be happier. The colors are bright and fun. The dishes are the perfect size. The flatware is big enough that she will be able to use it for years to come, the spoons actually hold food, the forks easily grab onto things, and the handles are thick enough for little hands to hold. The lip on the plates help keep everything on the plate when she is digging in, and the little cups are short enough that I don't worry about her knocking them over. Best of allthey all stack!! Great buyin fact, I might grab another set to give as a gift!

I have bought a few other kids plates and cups over the years and these are by far the sturdiest. The plastic is very thick and sturdy. I am very impressed. My kids are 2,4,6 and they love to pick the colors that they are going to eat with.I absolutely love these! My daughter is one and a half and she can use them! They are a little large for her but the forks actually keep food on the spokes, they are a bit pointy but very kid friendly. They're super sturdy, non of this flimsy plastic crap. I haven't had these very long but they seem to be wearing well (they haven't stained or turned white in spots from the microwave/dishwasher). The large handles make it easier for kids to use and the mix and match colors are fun. For the price I paid and the amount of stuff I got, I have no regrets. Very good purchase.
