oogaa Baby Mealtime Set

oogaa Baby Mealtime Set, PurpleI absolutely love these spoons, I got my first one in a citrus lane box and came to amazon for mor, they are fun and have a small turn up on the end of the spoon to prevent food from spilling out. Great deal with bowl

Easy to clean and gentle on baby's gums while feeding. Bright, playful design that is also very functional and delivers as promise.

Love the bowl because it does not slip or tip over, which is a huge plus with a busy 9 month old:) but the spoons are what I love the most, they are soft and the perfect size, in addition to being entertaining for the baby. Great product overall, and safe too!

Really pleased with these. Cute spoon designs and they're nice and soft. Our baby daughter really likes them and it doesn't hurt when she uses the spoons as a teether!

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Baby Food, 4.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Juicy Pear and Garden Greens Baby Food, 3.5-Ounce PouchesCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program The product itself is pretty straight forward. It's got pureed organic baby food in a little pouch. Easier to transport than the little glass jars. If your baby eats a lot, there's a lot more food per pouch. The nozzle and cap makes it easy to squeeze straight onto a spoon and feed baby with no mess (at least on this end). Also, since the food theoretically is being transferred from the pouch to the spoon, you don't have cross-contamination of the baby's mouth germs being reintroduced back into the jar of baby food.

The color of this particular product leaves a bit to be desired. But the flavor was fine (to me) and the pear and garden greens combo is pretty nice and healthy.

I echo the same concerns that another reviewer posted. I actually got this product a little earlier since I knew my baby would be eating in a month or so. Lo and behold, once I opened it when he was ready for solids, the expiration had already passed. Perhaps this is only an issue for the free stuff we're getting through Vine reviews; I sure hope so. But somebody ought to think twice about giving out stuff on the cusp of expiration that is meant for babies and their uniquely sensitive systems. This is also relevant given that the baby food comes packaged as a pack of 12. Now, I don't know who would buy a package of 12 food pouches of the *exact* same flavor. Your baby must really love pear and greens. Moreover, I mentioned that each pouch is 4.5 ounces. That's more than 2 glass jars' worth. My personal thought is that unless your child has texture issues or low oral muscle tone, the baby is probably going to move through the pureed food stage a lot faster than you could possibly go through 12 pouches of this baby food (I'm assuming that you're also providing him/her with other flavors, though).

I also recommend looking into the Happy Baby brand of baby food. It also comes in neat little pouches and has organic pureed fruits and veggie combos; but it adds additional Salba grains that are naturally rich in Omega-3s. If you found this review helpful, please let me know!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I ate one of these pouches so I would know what to expect from them. Honestly, all I could taste was pear so although I believe the other ingredients mentioned are in them, they are pretty sweet, and I worry about creating a baby with a sweet tooth as a result. There are few ingredients (good in my book I prefer to eat nothing that has more than 5 ingredients) and they appear to be of a high quality.

I miss the old baby food jars which seem greener to me. If you didn't recycle the glass, you could at least save the jars for storage of small items. The BPA-free packaging of these does make it easy to get the contents out, and the lid can be screwed back on so that the pouch can be finished later, but overall, there is a lot of trash generated from them.

My baby absolutely loves this food! He's been eating Earth's best and Gerber purees regularly, and he will eat those just fine, but when I've given him the Baby Gourmet food, he practically wolfs it down. I've tasted it and it actually tastes pretty good! Now, my only issue with this food is how ridiculously expensive it is. We received about 10 packets for free at an event, and that's pretty much the only reason we tried them. I wish we could buy more but the price point is just a little too much.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I make my daughter's baby food because my previous experience with store-bought foods (granted it was many years ago) was that they were overly processed, foul tasting, and inconvenient. The food never tasted anything like what the label proclaimed it to be and usually tasted rather flavorless or sour, and they were only available in clunky containers that were annoying to pack or store. This looked different so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did.

First, and most important to me, the food is made of all natural and organic ingredients. Second, I can clearly taste the vegetables and fruit in each bite, and I can identify them as greens and pear. Third, the storage container is extremely convenient. I don't have to worry about the package breaking open in her bag and it is easy to serve her exactly the amount I desire.

The packaging recommends that the product be consumed within 24 hours and in my house that is no problem. My sometimes-reluctant-to-eat 6 month old had absolutely no difficulty polishing off a container in a day. And if she did, it tastes so good that I would probably not mind finishing it off. She loves the taste and the consistency is great for someone just starting on purees.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As we were preparing for the arrival of our 7 month old grandson, I ordered this Vine selection for him. He is not a picky eater, but he does have some foods that he will not eat. He gets this funny face, gags, and then spits it up. It is quite cute actually as the grandparent many more things are cute this time around. So after a round of gags with a new pumpkin organic something or another, we tried this pear and garden greens food combo. It is made up of a blend of organic pears, organic broccoli and organic spinach. He face went from gags to smiles, his hands starting to whirl and his mouth kept opening until the packet was empty. And I stood there with my mouth open no, not for this concoction, but because who in the world would think that these three foods would be anything that a human would like. But like it he did. We fed him 7 packets in 7 days and he never tired of it.

Highly recommended.

Munchkin Snack Dispenser

Munchkin Snack Dispenser, Colors May VaryWhat a great little invention.

I first saw these when I was "between babies" LOL. A friend had one for her toddler, and I thought...now why didn't they have those when my son was a toddler?

This item has become a baby shower must-give with my circle of friends.

If you bottle feed your baby you can use this dispenser to pre-measure individual servings of dry formula, and it dumps right into the bottleeasy as can be!

(The whole lid comes off so you can pour the dry formula into each compartment easily when you're loading it). This also works for baby cereal.

When your baby is a toddler you can fill it with little snacks to go. Cheerios, Kix, dried fruit, granola... even diced carrots or frozen peas. We've put all kinds of things in there.

My youngest is 2 now, and we still use this for her, only now, she can work it all by herself, which is great. She can open the spout easily, and she can turn it to the compartment she wants easily. Thankfully, she is unable to open the entire lid, so no worries about massive messes.

She can use it in the car, too. It's not too much to handle for her.

It's also a great size and shape for travel. Some of the other snack dispensers are just too awkward to throw in a little travel bag for casual outings.

Just love this thing!

It's a little bulky to carry around and it also doesn't fit in the cup holder place of the stroller, but what I really didn't like is that you can use it for different snacks in each of the compartments but the lid doesn't rotate, so if you want to get a different snack from one of the slots you need to remove the lid and turn it, not really practical.

Buy Munchkin Snack Dispenser Now

I like this product because it stays closed very well. Unfortunately, the opening does not spin around to all four sections. I have to open the lid completely and then replace the lid so that the opening is in the quadrant I want.

Bought this item because we were going to be doing a lot of travelling and I the snacks were getting crushed in the diaper bag. However this little device takes up a lot of room and doesn't hold a lot of snacks. It also only fits smaller snacks which limits what you can put in each section. Also it is sometimes hard to turn and it seems to get stuck in one position. We used in once and now just have it as a bath toy for the little one.

I'm tired of carrying my snacks in zip-logs and this works amazingly for me. I use them to store nuts and chocolate in my purse. A good container to bring on picnics as well as on planes when travel.

Sassy Stainless & Rustproof Diaper Pins - Set of 8

Sassy Stainless & Rustproof Diaper Pins - Set of 8Our son (aka the escape artist) is really adept at getting loose from his swaddling at night. We've started using a single safety pin to secure the blanket, and that has worked wonders for keeping him snug, and consequently helping him sleep longer. These are fairly standard safety pins, and do their jobs very well. Other than the one that our cat chewed to pieces, they're all working as they should.

PROs:

1) Sharp!

2) Do what they're supposed to do

3) Help us get a few precious hours of additional sleep

CONs:

1) Not cat proof

I'm giving these 5 stars....not because they're as good quality as the ones I used on my kids in the 80's, but because, as a grandma now in 2011, I was surprised to be able to buy any at ALL lol (most people who use cloth diapers now seem to use those very expensive "designer" nappies with velcro) and, with that in mind, they were better quality than I expected to find for a product I thought was obsolete.

True, the safety lock is not as good as the ones of long ago, but is better than a regular safety pin and seems to be good enough until my granddaughter is potty-trained.

Note about tip sharpness of these pins: I'm using homemade prefolds & birdsey diapers I made from my old flannel sheets, and that may be harder on the pins than the prefolds & birdseyes you buy....a couple of times the pins became difficult to push through (after many times of pushing through) but if the pin becomes dull or the tip gets bent, you can fix that by sharpening them on an emery board/nail file...i'd sharpen the pin, putting the tip on the file and running it downwards, turning the pin and filing more, checking visually by holding the pin in front of the t.v. and gently poking my finger on the sharp tip to know when it was sharp enough.

Buy Sassy Stainless & Rustproof Diaper Pins - Set of 8 Now

I bought these pins to use with prefold diapers and have found them to be terrible.

First, they are too blunt and hence useless. I had to use force to just push them through two layers of a prefold diaper. That is not something you can work with, especially when diapering a wiggly baby.

Second, these are too big to use on even a two year old so there is no way I can use them on an infant without them poking out.

Good bargain pricing for diaper pins that are functional and get the job done. The pins close easily and also open easily (when an adult desires to open them.) The pins are not quite as sharp as some vintage models of diaper pins, but these pins certainly are perfectly acceptable and easy to use when diapering your baby.

Want Sassy Stainless & Rustproof Diaper Pins - Set of 8 Discount?

We use prefolds on our 7 month old, and the snappies don't hold our favorite bamboo/cotton diapers very well, so we usually use pins. I bought this pack thinking, "how much variation can there be in diaper pins? Surely one pin is as good as another." Not the case, I found out. These pins are like needles, seriously, not sewing needles, but like, you would use this level of sharpness for an intravenous injection. But! Even with the incredible sharpness (I'm serious, my husband, mother and I have drawn blood numerous times, and I'm so sad to admit, I even got my baby once), these things won't go through the diapers! I guess the circumference of the pin is much wider than the point, and it takes extreme force to get them through the diapers. Which is really frustrating when you have, you know, a normal baby who wiggles around during diaper changes. I'm tossing these and buying a few more packages of the Nuby ones.Nuby 4 Pack Safety Pins, Colors May Vary

Happy Tot Plus Organic Baby Food, 4.22 Ounce Pouches (Pack of 16)

Happy Tot Plus Organic Baby Food, Kale, Apple and Mango, 4.22 Ounce PouchesKale is one of the vegetables highest in calcium and so I was delighted to see these Happy Tot pouches for sale on Amazon. I've tasted them, myself, and I can see why my grandsons love them. All three of them like these--the 1-year-old, the 18-month-old, and even the 3-year-old, although he's a bit old for pouches. I guess he likes this one a lot. Kale is pretty chewy and in this form, it's easy for the little ones to take. I can't find these at the stores where I shop, probably because they're so pricey. I'm not sure why they have to be twice as expensive as all the other pouches, but when I'm feeling plush, I try to buy the 16-packs sold on Amazon for my grandsons because they're organic, use non-GMO veggies and fruits, and give them a little extra calcium.

I was really excited with these products until I found out that a toddler, let alone an infant , which is what my son was when I started buying them, should get no more than 50 grams of sugar a day and fruit sugar counts. these packet are 12 to 13 grams each, so i found a brand which is not as sweet, and not so much sugar. sugar is linked to a lot of problems , so check out the ingrediants and sugar content, no matter how perfect the product seems to be, as I thought this one was!!

I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 1 yr old. They both love this. I've tasted it myself and agree that it is very good. I love the fact that my kids are getting their fruit and veggies ( mainly fruit, but that's ok with me) with no pesticides. Also love that they add chia seeds so my kids are getting some omega 3, too. Amazon has the best price, at least from what I've found.

Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Classic 150 Seamless Crib Mattress

Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Classic 150 Seamless Crib MattressTwo stars for the mattress, five stars for Naturepedic. I wouldn't recommend the seamless mattress, but highly recommend the same version but with seams. I bought the seamless mattress because it sounded as if it would be easier to clean if it ever got soiled (despite a crib sheet and mattress protector constantly keeping it clean). I purchased it months before my son was born to ensure that the crib was ready to go and of course he didn't start using it right away. He is now 4-months-old and has been using it on and off for about a month. It seems to be comfortable enough for him, BUT now that he can move around in the crib a bit by twisting around, it is obvious how rounded the mattress is from the middle out to all of the edges. They are so rounded that it helps him easily roll himself over from the middle of the crib into the slats on the side of the crib. On multiple occasions after rolling into the slats he has hit his head hard enough to cry and frequently gets his legs caught between the slats of the crib since the mattress has a tendency to roll him right up against them.

I called Naturepedic to inquire about why our mattress seemed to be filled with air making it round and their customer service is AMAZING. Like really amazingly good. They apologized and offered to send a new mattress right out. I almost couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had to ask the woman I was speaking to repeat herself. They didn't ask what I could have done to have caused it, they didn't quiz me on what exactly the issues are, they just said "We'll do whatever it takes to make sure you're happy. We'll send you a new one right away." They immediately sent out a completely brand new mattress and a return label for the old one. Just like that. I even asked if I could instead be sent the non-seamless, classic mattress this time around since I felt like the seamlessness was trapping air inside and they said, sure no problem. The woman I spoke with agreed that sometimes there is air trapped in the seamless one (that is how tight and sealed up they are), so that is probably what the issue was (you could put your hand down on it on one side and the other side would pop right up in the air).

Our new seamless classic mattress is GREAT and very flat. These are very high quality mattresses and heavy, solid pieces that fit like a glove into a standard sized crib. I'm certain we'll be able to use it for multiple children, which is great. I can't say enough about what a great company Naturepedic is to stand behind their products the way they do. And non-toxic to boot! I'm very glad that we chose to buy our mattress from them along with all of the bedding, mattress protectors, changing pad, changing pad covers and junior pillow + pillowcase. All great purchases and high quality.

this was a great find after reading all the toxins that regular mattresses have. this one is great, it is seamless so less dust collects. Also, the firmness of the mattress is perfect. our baby sleeps without a peep through the night. he is very comfortable in it. its a great investment as our baby will use it for a couple of years. I would rather spend more on the crib mattress than the crib, since babies sleep so many hours.

Buy Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Classic 150 Seamless Crib Mattress Now

This is absolutely one of the most important items for a nursery! Besides the fact that it is so much more healthier than common cheaper mattresses you can buy anywhere it fits the crib nice and tight and even has square corners so there are no gaps anywhere. The firmness is as it should be and although it came wrapped in plastic, after removing I didn't notice any smells. I did let it air out a few days before letting my daughter sleep on it though just to be safe. If you want the best for your child I highly recommend putting the extra money towards this mattress since babies spend so much time with their tiny noses so close to it for the first couple years.

If you're only going to buy one pricey thing for the nursery I think an organic mattress is the smartest buy. After doing research on green baby items I was shocked to read about the chemicals that are in standard crib mattresses. I knew I did not want my baby breathing that in night after night. Being a new parent is challenging enough without having to worry about how to avoid everyday products that are hazardous to their health and development. We need healthier industry standards, so that being "green" is not a luxury. But until then, the Naturepedic mattress is a great alternative. It is well made, fits the crib perfectly and best of all it is free from toxins. Love it!!

When researching heathy mattress options, this mattress was listed time and again, so I thought I would try it out. It is a quality made item and I am pleased with my purchase. The company is extrememly easy to deal with, as my mattress was damaged in shipping. Within a few days the company had picked up the damaged mattress and replaced it with a new one all at no extra charge to me. The only thing I will say as a negative is that it did have a slight plastic smell to it, but I am EXTREMELY smell sensitive. Overall a great product.

Bowl, Spoon and Fork Set in Blue

Bowl, Spoon and Fork Set in BlueThis product is a must have for anyone with young children. With my oldest, feeding was a complete mess. The plastic bowl that I used tipped over all the time. My son was so frustrated wanting to feed himself that all it took was one unhappy hand slap to the highchair tray and splatcereal everywhere. The Baby Dipper feeding set eliminates (well, seriously minimizes) the mess, as it can't really help with the food that he likes to put in his hair! The bowl stays in place, so you don't have to worry about it sliding around or tipping over. It is perfectly shaped to allow for easier scooping of the food. And the utensils are the perfect size for little hands that want to do everything "by self". I would definitely recommend this product!

All four of my grandchildren have grown up using the Baby Dipper bowl. They love it and so do we. As an engineer myself, I really appreciate the features of this bowl. The sloped bottom, the vertical walls, along with the fitted spoon and fork make it so easy to use. Oh, and I forgot the non-slip base to keep it in place.

I see they are now available in pink and you can buy extra spoons and forks. Great ideas.

The design of this bowl makes it fun--and much neater--for my grandchildren to feed themselves, and it stays in place on the table or high chair tray! When I fed infant grandchildren, using the Baby Dipper bowl was like I had grown a much-needed extra hand. The bowl really requires only one hand, leaving the parent's or grandparent's other hand free to wipe baby's face or keep his/her hands out of the mouth. No BPA, no lead, and no phthalates--a safe choice for feeding our little ones. Makes a perfect gift for baby showers, too!

I love this bowl! Makes feeding a child sooo much easier since you can do it with one hand. The grip on the bottom of the bowl makes it so it does not move or slide all over the table especially if you are holding your baby while you feed them. I also like that the inside is sloped to one end so the food stays there while you scoop it.

Master 3 Piece Baby Feeding Set

Master 3 Piece Baby Feeding SetWhen our daughter was around a year old, she wanted to have the same tools as daddy and mommy had at the table. We let her use a tiny baby fork and spoon my mother gave us, and then later as she grew, a baby/toddler size fork and spoon that matched our wedding silver. She's two and a half now, and uses a fork and spoon almost as well as an adult, except where strength is an issue. I bought this set because it's a bit of a pain to be washing the same fork between each meal, and I didn't really want to spring for sterling for pieces that will only be used for a year or two.

The long handled infant feeding spoon is excellent, with a small bowl that will go in a baby's mouth, and is more durable than the plastic spoons that are more common. The overall length of 5.75 inches is a convenient length. We use it both with our daughter and with our son, who is now 10 months.

The fork and spoon are the same overall size as the ones that match our wedding silver, 4.5 inches long for the fork and 4.25 inches long for the spoon. The fork and spoon are available separately, without the infant feeding spoon, as Reed & Barton Children's Giftware MASTER 2PC BABY MASTER 2 PC BABY SET 4770 18/10. These lengths are excellent for a toddler's first fork and spoon.

However, there are some issues. The bowl of the toddler spoon is a bit large for her mouth, and would have been considerably large for her when she started using a spoon; a bowl the same size as on the infant feeding spoon would be better. More importantly, the tines on the fork are blunter than on an adult fork, or on our silver toddler fork. For softer foods that are scooped up with a fork rather than speared, this isn't a problem. However, it does means that our daughter has difficulty dealing with foods that need to be speared with the fork fish or a ground steak will often fall apart, while a toddler simply isn't strong enough to push these blunter tines into a piece of regular steak or a roast.

Unfortunately, choices are limited. Sterling is rather expensive for baby ware. For older children, the Oneida children's flatware Oneida Chateau 3-Piece Child Set has a sharper fork, similar to adult forks, but that set is a bit large for a toddler. Overall this set may still be the best choice available for a toddler's first flatware, and it does make an excellent new baby gift.

Eco Vessel The Insulated Sippy Stainless Steal Bottle W Avent Spout - 10oz -Kids

'The Insulated Sippy' by Eco Vessel Insulated Stainless Steel Sippy Cup - 10 Oz - Hudson Blue - 10 oz - ContainerI decided it was time to buy an insulated sippy cup now that my 13-month old daughter is drinking whole milk all the time. I'm not sure why they don't make more cups like this one, but I guess most people are satisfied with using the plastic sippies. I was ok with that until I was having to stop at any and every convenience store every time I was out to get a small bottle of milk to refill or replace the warm milk. Plus plastic isn't good for the environment and doesn't keep liquids cold very long, so I felt better switching to the stainless steel cup. I got this cup after I realized the thermos foogoo straw cup that I was already ordering was for older kids, so I added the Eco Vessel cup to the order as a solution for right now. If you're still reading, here comes the important part: this is a well-made cup, but with some quirks. I knew from one of the other reviews that the spout might not line up with the handles on the cup. Such was the case with my cup, which made it awkward for my daughter to drink out of, even though she liked the cup right away. I called the 800 number on the tag that came on the cup (which you shouldn't throw away, because other than arriving in a nondescript white box, that's the only information that comes with it). I was connected to customer service and spoke to a nice (American-yay!) customer service representative who told me that the green spout is removable. The spout is supposed to line up with the stars on the lid, but mine didn't. He told me that you can just pull out the spout, which I proceeded to do and then centered it in the middle of the two handles on the bottle. I never would have guessed that the spout came out. Also, the little plastic stopper on the bottom can come off to be cleaned, but leave it on to keep liquids from leaking. I made the mistake of using it without it, and milk leaked everywhere. Overall, though, once I had some help figuring it out, I'm happy with this cup, and my daughter likes carrying it around!

It doesn't leak, it doesn't leach chemicals, and it's so cute and durable! Unfortunately, the top rim where the orange part meets the stainless steel on the inside has a gap, and drinks (milk ewwww) gets stuck in there. No matter how much I wash it I can't get it out. Why? Because when the cup is upside down, the milk/drink goes into that gap, and when I put it Right side up, it goes back into the cup. I can't get it out!!!! It's starting to stink at the rim where the buildup is. I've tried using the dishwasher, a scrubbing brush, anything to clean it and no luck. Otherwise this would be a great leak proof cup for kids who don't use regular cups yet.

We have gone through our share of glass and steel baby bottles and now sippy cups. We avoid using plastic wherever possible and glass even with silicone wrappers eventually proved just too easy to break for our little one. For milk or juice, I would still prefer glass as metal does cause foods to oxidize/spoil faster. However, we only give water to our toddler in the steel vessels and they are a better option for this purpose.

The material, fabrication, design and quality is exceptional on the Pura.

Pura Kiki Stainless Sippy Bottle Stainless Steel with XL Sipper Spout, 11 Ounce, Aqua Blue, 6 Months+

Our other three steel sippy cups all have hard plastic parts (lids, spouts, handles, bottoms) that have all cracked or broken after being tossed onto tile or concrete by our toddler.

The Insulated Sippy' by Eco Vessel Insulated Stainless Steel Sippy Cup 10 Oz Ava Pink 1 Container

Contigo Autoseal Stainless Steel Kids 12-Ounce Cup , Green

Klean Kanteen Kid's Stainless Steel Sippy Bottle

The Pura is the only one that has no hard plastic parts to crack or break and has held up to our toddler's abuse and still performs flawlessly.

However, we did tweak the spout on the Pura because it was too difficult to suck (though it did not drip when inverted in this state). I snipped the openings with a small scissor to make the water flow more easily. Yes, our toddler can now shake a little bit of water out (but he could do this with all the other bottles too).

The Pura Kiki is now my favorite steel sippy cup and I just purchased two more!

Thanks for reading, I hope this review was helpful.

I ordere these sippy cups along with the safe sippy and the foogo stainless steel sippy in my search for the perfect leak-free sippy cup that was also stainless steel. These, of the three, were my least favorite. The avent top has holes in the spout for getting liquid out and then one single hole on the opposite end of the led for releasing pressure. Every. Single. Time. my toddler took a sip, milk 'volcanoed' out of the single hole on the back of the spout. There is a silicone flap inside the sippy that regulates how much milk comes out and whatever is left in that flap after you child is done sucking comes out of that hole. Some reviews say that it depends on how tight you twist the lid so I tried to not tighten it as much as I normally would. This did decrease how much came out of the hole but then it leaked from the neck.

Overall, the Foogo sippy cup is your best bet in terms of leakage.

This is the perfect sippy cup for us living in the south and wanting something not plastic, well except for one thing. The ring around the top and bottom. The plastic is to hard and after a couple drops onto our tile floor and driveway the bottom basically shattered and came off. The bottom is kinda sharp so I have to throw it out. I want to buy a new one but I think a redesign of just that element is called for.

Prince Lionheart bebePOD Flex Plus Baby Seat

Prince Lionheart bebePOD Flex Plus Baby Seat, Green/KiwiOur son started to really enjoy sitting up when he was about 2.5 months old and so we started looking for a booster chair that could do double duty as a "high chair" when the time came and a place for him to safely practice his sitting skills until then. Like most people, we were torn between the Bumbo and the Bebepod so when our neighbor offered to loan us their Bumbo after we'd already ordered the Bebepod, we got the chance to do a side-by-side comparison and we found that, while the Bumbo probably provides better support for those first few weeks of sitting up, the Bebepod seems to have more staying power. Our son is on the long and lean side but even so, with a cloth diaper and long pants on, the fit in the Bumbo is getting snug at 5 months. The Bebepod I can foresee us using for quite a few more months.

Pros:

Our son hasn't started solids yet but we like using the BebePod to include him in our mealtimes. We either sit his chair on top of the table (within reach of us should he topple over somehow but it seems very, very unlikely) or we put the chair on top of a bar chair we have with a nice high back on it. We love that we can all have a meal together even if we are eating food and he's just "eating" his toys and his hands.

The fit is great. At about 3.5 months this chair probably did not provide quite as much support for our son as the Bumbo but these days its plenty. He enjoys sitting in this chair.

The included toy is one of our son's favorites! It can keep him entertained for an entire meal.

While we haven't started solids quite yet, this chair will be our "high chair" at least until our son outgrows it, which is great for saving space in our small apartment. If we really wanted to, we could even take it out to restaurants with us, but we haven't thus far.

Cons:

While I suppose a kid could sit safely in this chair, as long as its strapped tightly to a dining room chair, I would be nervous to leave the room for more than about 30 seconds. For us, this isn't a big issue (see: small apartment) but it's probably best to be close by at all times when your kid is in this chair, especially if they are squirmy like our son

Putting on the tray attachment is a bit of a pain until you get used to it and there is no way to get the baby into the chair without taking off the tray. Now, I can do it with one hand, but at first it just took a few extra seconds each time.

This isn't a con for us but it might be for you: the included toy does not stay in the slot on the tray, at least not if you have a baby who wants to really play with it! :) We don't mind at all but if you were hoping to avoid the diving-under-the-table-a-dozen-times-to-retrieve-the-toy game, this is not going to be your saving grace.

Bottom Line: More useful in the long-term than a Bumbo but you will probably still need to buy a "real" high chair by the time your kid turns one. Until then, this is a wonderful and very useful product for helping a baby learn to sit up and getting to spend some quality face-time together while still being able to enjoy eating your dinner with two hands.

I debated buying this seat b/c I have bought a few baby items I thought I had to have then weren't that great and I thought this might be the same way. Everyone I know who has a baby around my son's age has a bumbo so finally I did some research and everything pointed to this being a better choice than bumbo...better price, leg openings bigger(my son has thunder thighs), a tray included, a placemat included, a toy included and a more fun color! I was not disappointed. My son loves the new perspective of sitting up on his own other people I know seem to use theirs on the floor but I keep mine snapped onto our dining room table so while we're eating dinner we put him in and he feels like he's a part of the family playing with his toys while we eat. Great buy!

My baby is very comfortable in this seat and it enables her to join us at mealtimes. We keep it strapped to a regular kitchen chair, sometimes I take it off so she can sit in it on the floor nearby while I give her older sister a bath or something. It has become difficult to use it for eating, though. The food tray does not stay on, when her hands are sticky all she wants to do is use them to lift it off. I ended up taping the food tray down so she can use itends up I'd rather do without the fancy toy and have a solid tray just for eating. Also, the decorative pattern on the food tray COMES OFF when you wash it and once the color was even getting on her food. This seems very unsafe to me. I ended up scrubbing it hard one day to take all the remaining color off on purpose, it is such a shame because the watermelon picture was very charming. The color should not bleed off so easy like that. Also, the plastic piece that connects the tray on the bottom is awkward to use and ours just broke. You can get a replacement piece if you call the manufacturer, but I'd rather they figure out how to make an attachment system that works better.

We purchased this product for our grandson. It has a double set of straps for securing to chairs or other appropriate locations. In addition it can be placed directly on the floor. The purpose is to help with the balance of sitting up and to stabilize the infant. It works very well in that category. The tray is very helpful but this seat can be used without it. Our little one now weighs 18 pounds and is just beginning to outgrow the use of the tray, however; this is the one negative comment I'd have on this product. He does have chubby legs, but I think additional room in this area of the product would help. That is the one mark down I gave it on the rating. It is sturdy and easy to use.

This seat fits a bigger baby, and he seems much more comfortable in it. He weighs 20lbs at 6 months and could still fit in this one!

Earth's Best Happy Snax - Apple Cinnamon

Earth's Best Happy Snax - Apple CinnamonMy 14 1/2 month old son loves these and so does my husband. They have a real taste of apples and cinnamon. We found these at Big Lot's in Arizona for a $1.00 a jar plus tax. I don't think I would spend that much more for them. They are a great product and we love them. I would recommend them to friends and family members.
