Fresh Baby Plate and So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook Value Pack
Neither plate gives an indication of the appropriate age range for these recommended portions. (Fresh Baby has no indication; Oxo indicates 6 months+). I have been using them for my 3-year old. The plate holds less than the normal amount of food I try to feed her at each meal...but she never finishes what I give her, so perhaps the plate portions are correct for a 3-year old.
Although the Fresh Baby plate looks a lot bigger, they contain about the same amount of food. Fresh Baby has a big lip, so that it just looks bigger from the top. A few notes:
Fresh Baby:
1. Made of 100% melamine (made in China).
2. Lead, BPA, phthalate-free.
3. NOT microwave safe. Dishwasher safe.
4. Offers a "value pack" that includes a toddler food cookbook.
OXO Tot:
1. Made of #1 plastic (made in China).
2. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
3. BPA, PVC, phthalate-free.
4. Weighted, rubberized base to minimize slipping on the table.
I probably would not buy either of these again now that I am better informed about portion control, and my daughter no longer finds them fun. However, I would recommend the Oxo Tot plate if you are looking to buy one. I like Oxo's weighted rubberized base, which is slightly more effective at keeping the plate in place than the Fresh Baby plate. It is also microwave-safe (Fresh Baby is not) and more modern looking for your kitchen, if you are looking to minimize cartoon character take-over of your cupboards.
If you are not comfortable with either material (melamine or #1 plastic), I would recommend the divided plate by Corelle which looks/feels like a "grown-up" plate yet is much more difficult to break.
Is a divided plate a necessity in your kitchen? Probably not. It's more for fun than anything else, and it may perhaps ease your mind about how much your toddler/preschooler should be eating. It's also a nice reminder at each meal to try to provide foods from different food groups. After being told time and time again by my mother and my husband that I'm over serving the kids and wasting food I bought these plates. What a great guide! It actually helped in reminding me to provide a well rounded meal as well as not too give too large of portions. Love this!

I love these plates but think the book is just ok. It had a couple recipes I'll use but for the most part, it's better for people who are new to cooking for toddlers, I've been doing this for awhile now. I take care of 5 kids during the week and have been using the old style of these plates for about a year. I love that the new plates divided fruits and vegetables. While I've always prepared fairly healthy meals, these really help remind me to be balanced each day. 2 things I would improve. Make each section a little larger like the old plates. I can always put less food in a large section but it's harder to fill small sections enough for the older kids. Second, please design a lld that snaps on (like your bowls) so I can take these to the park.Read Best Reviews of Fresh Baby Plate and So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook Value Pack Here
My daughter knocked this plate off her high chair a couple times. The fourth time it shattered. We had not even had it an entire week. Cook book is cute, but plate is an epic failure.Want Fresh Baby Plate and So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook Value Pack Discount?
This is a very nice plate. It is quite thick and I'm sure it will end up thrown on the floor at some point, but I don't think it will break! I ran it through the dishwasher when I received it and it did very well on the lower rack (the only place it would fit). I have not used it yet, but the recipe book seems nice, too. My son is 16 months old so some of the recipes might be a little older for him but they even sound good to me! I am always trying to find new ways to prepare healthy food for him and I think this book has some good ideas.Similac Advance Early Shield Baby Formula, Ready to Feed, 32-Fluid Ounces (Pack of 6)

My son is 10 months now and has been on this formula since I stopped breastfeeding him when he was 4 months. We have never had any issues with this formula. He has never had an upset stomach or has ever been fussy while on this formula. When I stopped breastfeeding him he transitioned very well. Every baby is different and formulas work different on every one, that is why there is so many choices, but we got lucky with our first choice of formula. I did try to switch him to the powdered formula but he absolutely hated it. It was the same type just powdered so I don't really know why he didnt like it. It was ok though we just kept him on the premade liquid. Luckily we didnt start him on the powdered because there ended up being a recall so we got lucky there too.We tried feeding our baby Enfamil when he first switched to formula, but he hated the taste and refused it. Our friend told us that Similac was the best formula that compared to the taste of breastmilk. She actually bought various formulas and did a taste test. Our baby loves this formula and is thriving on it. Some people have said the powder is hard to mix, but we have not had any problems. We have found that room temp bottled water mixes the best.Want Similac Advance Early Shield Baby Formula, Ready to Feed, 32-Fluid Ounces (Pack of 6) Discount?

UPDATE: We contacted Dr. Weil's to find out if cracking was a common problem or unique to us. The rep was very accommodating and tried very hard to resolve the issue. In addition to collecting a great deal of information to determine the cause of the cracking, the rep offered to replace the bottles. We have yet to receive them, but will definitely give the company another shot. It is clear that they are committed to making a good product and customer service.I have these bottles in glass but I broke two so I thought it was a good idea to get the plastic ones....bad idea...these bottles leak TERRIBLY unless you get the nipple on just right. I never had leaking with the glass bottles. I guess I'm going to toss the plastic ones and just get more glass and try not to drop them....

very happy with the WeilBaby bottles (used freeborn for the first 6 months): beautiful design and colors, few pieces to wash, easy to put together, no leaks if assembled properly (which is super easy) and the vent system works great!I have been very happy with this newborn starter set. We have tried Dr. Browns, Avent, Medela and Dr. Weil. The only bottle our baby girl likes to drink out of is the Dr. Weil's bottles. I haven't had any quality issues with them at all, and they are super easy to clean. Bonus they are made in the USA. It's also nice to have the glass option for home and the tritan option for when we are out and about, and I like knowing that it is non-toxic with no BPA, Phalates, etc. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.HABA Spielstabil Nesting Stacker
UPDATE
At 16 months, my boy still plays with these every time he takes a bath. I have added other toys to his bath repertoire, but he prefers the stacking buckets. He now knows how to stack them and continues to do so repeatedly. It's also funny to see him trying to grab the water that trickles down from the buckets with holes...he still hasn't figured out that water is not solid....I am an extremely picky mom when it comes to the toys I buy for my son! I love the Plan toys and other educational toys that don't have a lot if bells and whistles. I looked for a long time for a high quality stacking cup toy and finally stumbled upon this German set. Other plastic stackers are likely to contain BPA, but these do not (I went to their website and checked!). They are thick and durable, and work well both for nesting and stacking play (when turned upside down). I am shocked more people haven't found these cups, and it's a shame they show up so low down on the page when you search for stacking toys!

And a nice added bonus to these stacking cups is that you can still build a sturdy tower if you have a cup or two MIA about the house (say, when one cup is still hanging out near the bathtub from last night's water play, etc.) These cups are so ingeniously designed that the fifth cup fits nicely inside the rim of the third cup-which is also great when your little one isn't yet interested in building every tower by size order. It's just a great toy!I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for over 15 years so I have seen my fair share of nesting cups. The quality and durability of these far exceed any that I have used before for work. I got these for my son when he was 6 months old and he has been using them daily for a month now. A great pick! It's so rare these days to find a baby toy that is the result of careful thought and planning. The cups are very good quality, bright colors, and stack different ways because their proportions are so well planned. They nest, they stack in two separate ways, and some even have drainage holes to be used at the pool/in the tub! The holes are nice, too, when my son inserts a cup inside another upside down since they fit so well together, this prevents suction from sticking them that way permanently! He loves these cups at 10 months old and I foresee many years of imaginative play to come.Munchkin Car Bottle Warmer

This bottle warmer seemed like a great idea--it was great to take the chill of a cold bottle. But the fact that it can start smoking and melt the bottle, like it did for me today, makes it not worth the convenience and dangerous. I'd seriously pass on this one! I've tried a few car bottle warmers and this by far is the easiest and most efficient. It adapts to whatever kind of bottle you are using, including wide bottles, and angled. It takes about 15-20 minutes to thoroughly heat a full bottle which can be inconvenient if you're in a hurry. My method on a 10 hour car trip with my 11 month old was this, I had each bottle pre-filled with water (either bottled or from another safe source) when we got about a half an hour from a place I knew we were going to stop, or a half hour from when I knew we would HAVE to stop I would put the bottle into the warmer and let it start warming. Once we reached a stopping point I used a portable formula dispenser, mixed up the bottle and voila. It may take time to heat but if you plan accordingly this isn't a problem. It's inexpensive, hassle free (doesn't require boiling or any other maintenance) and very portable. I throw it in her diaper bag anytime we're going a half hour or more away from home (you never know when your car might just break down!). I think this is a must have for any parent who travles frequently by car. I was very disappointed to get this product and find out that it cannot be used with Playtex Nurser bottles.Stainless Steel Bento Box Food Container: ECOlunchbox Oval (2 Piece Set)

I was looking for a bento to bring to school for lunch, but decided to go with the stainless steel eco lunchbox after reading about the negative effects of most plastic containers. I'm glad I made that choice. The container looks great and is a nice size. The container has a nice slick look, closes nicely and the lid is held in place with two clamps on the side, and is easy to open. The smaller container fits well in the larger one and takes up about 1/2 of the space. Great for fruits, sauces, and small snacks. It isn't leak proof so soups aren't recommended. Also, heat does escape the lunchbox so it's better for foods not meant to be hot. It's a pity it can't be microwaved though. Overall, I'm very happy with this product. I feel great knowing that this product isn't made of painted plastics with may contain BPA, lead, or other harmful chemicals. I also recommend buying food separators (to prevent rice, fruits, meats, etc from touching each other in the container), small sauce containers, perhaps small metal reusable utensils, or a insulated bento/lunch bag (which is great to keep foods warm).Read Best Reviews of Stainless Steel Bento Box Food Container: ECOlunchbox Oval (2 Piece Set) Here
This stainless steel container has worked out perfectly for my five year old twin boys. They can open and close the lid without any problems. The space inside is sufficient to pack a full lunch and the food stays fresh. My research paid off because the money I spend was worth it. I highly recommend this product specially for those looking for a lunch container for young children.Want Stainless Steel Bento Box Food Container: ECOlunchbox Oval (2 Piece Set) Discount?
My toddler and infant just started preschool, and need to bring their own lunches. I wanted to find a lunch box that wasn't too big, used as little plastic as possible, and had a nice snug close, but was relatively simple for at least my 2.5 yr old to open. I ended up ordering two of these lunch boxes, and they're exactly what I was looking for! Easy to clean, and are able to hold the perfect amount of food for two hungry (but little) boys! (Would even be plenty of room for adults looking for portion control) I pack them bento-style, using silicone muffin cups to keep certain foods separate, and will often fill the small cup (included) up with yogurt or applesauce, and throw it right in the box as well. So far, no leaks, and the kids are very happy with them!Thermos Funtainer Food Jar, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

i ordered 2 of these food thermoses for my 1 year-old twins. i especially wanted the ones with mickey mouse because my twins love him. i received different thermoses, they were blue not black like in the image, and they had a small image of mickey on one side skate boarding or something, and another of donald duck on the other side. i was quite disappointed to say the least. returning would be an incredible hassle because i live in egypt!!Juvenile Solutions Baby Cubes (2 oz/Pack of 8)

I bought these but can't see the benefit of putting food in these tiny containers that tip over, are quite hard to store in the freezer, not good for microwaving to defrost, and then you have to wash them individually.I gave up and use ice cube traysso much easier to put the baby mush in (spray with Pam 1st for easy dispensing), pop out and store in Freezer Ziplocs, defrost as needed.

I love this product! They are easy to clean, can be steam serilized in the microwave (not all baby bowls/dishes can go into the microwave), and the food can be thawed/reheated in the microwave. As another reviewer mentioned, I did have one that popped open when I put it in the freezer, but that was because I filled it too full. Just fill it to the max line and you will be fine. I also like that these cubes (when filled properly) don't leave the food freezer burned. I'm not sure if that's a problem with the ice cube trays, but that was one of the reasons why I wanted to try these. And I haven't been disappointed!
This two ounce size is great for my twins. I also love that there is a measuring line on them so I can divide the food evenly between the twins to make sure both are getting their fair share! I believe there are also smaller 1oz cubes you can buy, but the 2oz size seems to be the perfect amount after your baby has been introduced to solids and starts wanting more than just a taste of food. For me, I pull out 2 or 3 of the 2oz cubes and can easily get the twins meals ready in just a few minutes.
Instead of writing on these with a dry erase marker, I just put a small round sticker on the front of the tray with the food and date, and it works great for me. The trays allow me to stay organized so it's easy to know how much of a particular kind of food is left... so I know when to make more!
I originally only bought 2 trays to test them out and see how they worked. I loved them so much that I've ordered another 2 trays and may be back for more!

These containers are very poor quality. They do not open/close particularly well and shatter easily if you happen to drop one from the freezer.A much better option is Rubbermaid's 1/2 cup Easy Find Lid containers. There are a little bigger (4 oz), but your baby will soon outgrown the 2oz pots anyway! Rubbermaid's close securely, open easily, stack up well in the freezer and are robust enough not to crack if you happen to drop them. And most importantly, they are also BPA free

Newborn Baby Tracker® - Round the Clock Childcare Journal, Log Book
This book has become even more helpful since my wife and I split baby duties. It makes it very easy to see at a glance when he last ate and how much or when his diaper was last changed.
Each page is set up like a spreadsheet with columns for napping, eating, diaper change, play, and comments. There are also areas for the date and totalling how much he eats in case that's an issue.
The only things that I wish were different about this book are:
1) It would be nice if the hours had alternating shading, i.e. odd hours are shaded and even hours are not. This would make it easier to see the times.
2) It would be nice if this were available in a loose leaf version, but that's just a personal preference. It would be great to have a thin binder that holds like 14 pages to take in the diaper bag, but then have a large binder for archiving old pages.
Overall, I can highly recommend this book. This product was really well designed and thought out. Much better than others out there. I like that you can track times of diaper changes not just number, and that you can easily see the whole day laid out before you. It really helped me through my sleep deprived delirium.

So glad I bought these, had twins and remembering anything is next to impossible. There were four of us chipping in around the clock this was a great way to let each other know what has been happening.Milk Trays by Sensible Lines
The lids do not snap on securely, which results in spills when not carried with extreme care. I had a couple of lids break at the corners, and the others just don't snap shut at all. We also can't fit more than 2 sticks at a time in the bottles we use. Fortunately, since we have in-home childcare, we can use a wider bottle to defrost the milk and then pour it into the feeding bottle.
We still use these, because I find it much easier to keep track of milk pumped and drunk in one-ounce increments, and we can vary the amount defrosted based on the baby's feeding rate that day.
I hope that the company redesigns these as a better quality product. I really do like the concept.
UPDATE:
I contacted the company as suggested in the comment to my review, and they promptly sent me two new trays. Excellent customer service! I have been using those for the past 2 months with much better results than the first time. I've updated my stars from 2 to 4 based on that. I now have only one complaint, and that is that though the lids shut, you have to be very very careful with holding the trays when putting them into the freezer, as the milk still tips around a bit.

After reading the reviews here I opted to buy these trays despite the complaints about the lids not fitting tightly. I really do like the concept, and the sales reps at my local maternity store indicated they had not heard any complaints about them so I figured I would just try them and be careful with handling. What I found was that the lids fit great the first time you use the trays, but after one freezing cycle, good luck on ever getting them to snap fully closed again. I was super careful when moving the trays with ill-fitting lids, but I would venture to say that it is nigh impossible to keep from having some degree of spilt milk while transferring from kitchen counter to freezer. The trays wound up being more of a pain than they were worth, especially since you cannot put them in the dishwasher either. (Ironically the literature says that to do so will warp them gee, I guess they forgot to mention that they would get warped in the freezer??) I soon discontinued using these trays. Instead, I ordered 2.5 oz Medela storage bottles and they work great in the freezer and are a convenient size to defrost.
I may try these trays again when it's time to freeze pureed foods at least they won't spill like milk.

I used the standard milk storage bags all through nursing my first child, and they were fine. My biggest complaint was that the quantity frozen in the bag often didn't match the quantity I wanted in the bottle! So, when I saw these trays they looked like a good solution to that issue. However, after ordering the trays, they sat in the box for a month because I was hesitant to mess with my old system for pumping/freezing. Finally I took them out, washed them, and started to use them. It took about a week for me to get into a groove with them, but now that I am, I can't believe I ever went without them! They rock!
Here's what I love:
-milk freezes much faster
-you can freeze milk at any time (no waiting to have the right quantity you want to make up a bag)
-milk easily pops out of trays and into a regular freezer bag to store
-these save $$! Because you can use regular freezer bags, these cut your milk storage costs and will pay for themselves
-you can easily get just the amount of milk you want for a bottle
-they wash up quickly & easily between uses (hand wash only!)
My tips/what I've learned:
-It's true the cover doesn't fit snugly onto the tray, but it's not designed to. Just be careful when placing the tray in the freezer and it's not an issue. I put mine in our chest freezer and just created one nice, level spot in a basket to place the tray while it's freezing. Not a big deal.
-Don't overfill the trays. There is a clear line in each compartment underneath the top. Don't pour the milk in past that line. This gives the milk a little room to expand as it freezes and you won't have the spillage/leaking issues as long as you keep the tray level.
-I use gallon ziploc freezer bags to store the milk sticks. I just write the month on the bag and then bag 1, bag 2, etc. as I fill them up.
I highly recommend these. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Try them for yourself and see if they work for you. Personally, I can't imagine these not making your pumping/milk storage life easier!

I bought these trays after doing hours of research on different breastmilk freezing solutions. I looked into regular ice cube trays and all of the ones designed specifically for breastmilk and/or baby food. I was slightly skeptical when I ordered these because of the multiple negative reviews that I read about the cover warping, not fitting well, and spillage. What helped put me at ease is that one of the moms who owns this company took the time to respond to most negative reviews with helpful hints or urging the buyers to contact the company directly so they can make it right. I thought that was excellent customer service so I decided to give these a try.I love these trays. I like that the sticks are one ounce. I transfer them to freezer Ziploc bags as soon as they're frozen. I haven't had any problems with the lids not fitting well. They haven't warped at all in the freezer and I hand wash them so that they don't warp in the dishwasher. I think as long as you follow the instructions on the box and fill each compartment only to the fill line and move the tray carefully to the freezer, you should have no issues. My freezer is on top of my fridge and I also make sure to make room for the tray and open the freezer door before I start carrying the tray. If you still have trouble with the milk sloshing around inside the tray before you put it in the freezer, just fill the compartments a little less... they seem to hold slightly more than 1 oz of milk anyway (or I'm slightly over-filling them). Either way, problem solved. As for the price, I think these will soon pay for themselves since I don't have to buy special breastmilk freezer bags now!
