Earth's Best 3rd Foods Variety Pack, 6 Ounce (Pack of 8)

Earth's Best 3rd Foods, My First Soups Variety Pack, 6-Ounce JarsFYI: In the package, you get two each of: Bananas and Strawberries, Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, Tender Chicken and Stars, and Vegetable Beef Pilaf. Good value, though I wish they came in packs of 12 like the 1st and 2nd stage foods do.

This is my favorite baby food line by far. They are consistent and readily available at just about any store. We got this variety pack on Amazon after already purchasing it from local stores. This is a great price compared to most stores and the variety of flavors is great. I wish they had more variety packs available for stage 3, but compared to other products out there it is hard to complain.

Now I am just waiting for the day that earth's best moves away from glass jars. Our daughter has started grabbing these out of her diaper bag and if she drops them on our hard floors it will break the jars. I have broken a couple myself dropping them from the cupboard on to the granite counter tops. I really like the pouches that some lines are doing and even the plastic containers that Gerber does. Glass is great because it is recyclable, but so are the plastic ones if you live in an area that supports that or you can reuse them like we do for storing bulk spices. That is the only the con I have and it is not even big enough to rate this product any lower.

For those of you that cannot tell what flavors you are getting, they are:

2 Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

2 Chicken Tenders and Stars

2 Vegetable Beef Pilaf

2 Strawberry Banana

Our son is now 11 months old and we've been using this brand since he started baby food. The taste is as close to the real thing as possibly. Other brands seem watered down compared to Earth's Best. The texture is smooth and flavorful. I like that they have a large variety of HEALTHY options that combine a whole variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and meats. In my opinion, there is no nutrition in mac and cheese so why bother giving it to them. They have different stages that seem to have been very appropriate for the eating abilities of my son.

The soup variety was tasty-Country Vegetable, Split pea/Carrot, Sweet potato Cinnamon and Squash Bisque. My daughter really seemed to enjoy it. The split pea and country vegetable varieties had nice soft pieces of carrot in there that my baby could chew. The sweet potato cinnamon bisque and squash bisque were thinner, but you can always add small pasta or cereal. Very convenient and flavorful for young palates!

My wife and I love these, and more importantly, so does our daughter. They have a good texture that lets her practice chewing with her limited teeth. I like that there's nice mixes of flavors, not just creamed peas, or pureed spinach, but chunky mixes of vegetables and meat broth. The first time we ordered these it took a while for them to come, but the next two times, they were sent right away. The food is actually good enough that I would eat it with a little salt. It's also nice that we can donate the bottles to our local art teachers for use in their projects.

Mercola Organic Foaming Baby Wash

Mercola Organic Foaming Baby WashI love all the mercola products I've tried so far. I prefer unscented products for my babies so at first I was disappointed to read that this baby wash was scented but decided to try it anyway. I love it! I can barely smell it so the fact that it is scented no longer bothers me. It seems very gentle on my baby's skin and since it is a foam it rinses off completely clean unlike other soaps. Although it's a bit expensive it seems to last. I am still on the same bottle and my baby is 3 months old. The bottle still feels half full. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a natural baby soap without a long list of ingredients.

Plum Organics Baby Just Fruit, Pears, 3.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Plum Organics Baby Just Fruit, Pears, 3.5 OunceI buy these for my 6 year old with severe allergies. The kids at school get "squeezy apples" as he calls them, and now he can have "squeezy pears" :) Great single ingredient product and the company has wonderful customer service!

I can not make organic baby food for the same prices. I love that you can reseal the package to use for later, unlike baby food in glass jars. The packaging also allows for better quality food, as baby food in glass jars are exposed to lights which decreases the amounts of vitamins and nutrients in food. Lastly, perhaps the best feature, when you baby is about eight to nine months they can suck it out of the package. No need for spoons or a bowl so this is so easy to pack and travel with.

3 - in - 1 Feeding Organizer

3 - in - 1 Feeding OrganizerI'm currently breastfeeding and I use bottles whenever I need to leave. This organizer was the best out there.I love the fact that the two baskets could be used for the dishwasher since there is a lid stored underneath. The down side is that you could only fit a total of 7 bottles.Avent 9 ounce bottles are not one of them(don't know about the small Avent),but I still put my Avent bottles in it,just won't fit on the bottle holders.Like most parents,I have more than 7 bottles,I store the rest of my bottles somewhere else.

I looked at the Gerber baby food and bottle organizer, but it only holds the skinny bottles and I have Avent and wide-opening First Years bottles. This bottle organizer holds a day's worth of bottles with spots for nipples and nipple rings. The pegs on the side are great for holding extra bottles or cups. The under-cabinet mount is great because it keeps my cabinet and counter space free.

If you're looking for an organizer for baby food, Sassy makes on, at it is MUCH cheaper than the Gerber one.

This works for bottles or sippy cups. Keeps everything together in one place. No more loose items tipping over in my cabinet. Drawers work in dishwasher which is a plus. I like the drying rack pegs on the end. Drying and storing all in one place.

I used this for my first child's bottles. Although it was good to have a place to store bottles instead of having them in the dish drainer or all over the counter, it doesn't hold very many. Another disadvantage is that if there is any moisture left in the bottle when placed inside the round section with the sliding door, the moisture will not dry out well, especially with the door closed. It's a bit large for a very small kitchen. I never used the under cabinet mount, which might work nicely. I had trouble using the baskets in the dishwasher. The force of the water would frequently cause the top to come off and then out came the rings and nipples into the dishwasher. I even lost a few nipples that fell to the bottom of the dishwasher and got burned on the heating element. I ended up using the basket as storage for clean nipples and rings, and buying separate baskets for the dishwasher that lock the nipples in place. I am now expecting my second child and looking for an organizer. I got rid of this one and probably won't replace it with one like it again. Unfortunately, there aren't many drying racks/bottle organizers out there. I would like to find one that is more open, holds more, and maybe takes up less space. One final note, I used the skinny bottles then. I don't think it would work well with wider bottles, like Avent, Elan, etc. which I am going to use now. I had a few playtex and healthflow angled bottles, and found the storage area didn't work great with them either. Still, I had a very small kitchen and it was at least "something" to try to keep things contained and organized in one spot that is easily accessible.

We use a lot of different bottles (Avent, Dr. Brown skinny and wide neck, First years, parents choice, playtex, etc) and this will hold ALL of them with out a problem! Although I wish it were bigger because we have a LOT of bottles.

Nuby Nibbler

Nuby Nibbler Food Vegetable, Colors May VaryI don't use jarred food or purees for my little one at all. He either gets foods he can pick up & chew on, or I put food for him in this. He's had all manner of food through the mesh feeder, including "mesh tacos" where I put all the ingredients in a standard taco right into the feeder for him. Frozen fruit is his all time favorite though.

He Loves it. Yes, the handle took him a few times to get used to, and sometimes he does hold onto the mesh, but he handles it ok now that he's used to it & this is by far the least messy method I've ever employed to get food from the table to a babies belly.

We tried the munchkin version of a mesh feeder & it sucked. The handle was easier to hold, but more awkward for him to figure out how to point it in the right direction. Thats not what sucked however, what sucked was that while it looked like the mesh ought to come out, an attempt to remove it for a proper cleaning showed that was not the case. I broke it trying to get it out because I could not get at all the nooks & crannies of the mesh. It was either maybe ruin it trying to get it apart, or toss it in the trash cause I couldn't clean it anyway. I love how easy the mesh is to remove for cleaning.

Yes, the mesh holds on to bits of food well, I boil mine once a week or so to make sure I'm getting everything out of it.

This is such a great idea and big help in allowing our daughter to feed herself and get more food in her tummy than on her clothes. We cut up bananas and our daughter held on to the nibbler like a spoon and sucked out most of the food. Looking forward to trying other foods. The downside is that it is a huge pain to clean so I might go and get two more so that I can alternate and use the dishwasher. I would have given it more stars if it had been easier to clean.

We have 2 of these. I like that it's hard for our little one to get openhe just can't. I have no problem with it, just push in on the texture part and twist. It seems pretty sturdy with no small parts. The problem I have with it is the netting is so long he just holds that instead of the handle, so he's covered in whatever food is in the netting. Avocado, not such a big deal, but apples are sticky and he was a mess. Maybe another brand has a shorter netting but I haven't checked.

My son loved to suck on watermelon, pears, cantaloupe, etc. It was a great stepping stone as we entered into the world of solids!

Want Nuby Nibbler Discount?

I bought this after a friend told me she bought one for her infant. My daughter went straight to solids when I tried to start her on baby food and this would have saved a lot of mess and crankyness. I bought this for my newest addition. It makes a great first time fruit taster ad great for teething as well! Put a frozen strawberry or banana in there and let them naw away! I would definitely get this as a gift shower gift as well! Very great idea!

OXO Tot Divided Plate

OXO Tot Divided Plate, PinkI'd been looking for a small divided non-disneyfied plate for a while, so when I saw this, I preordered it. Was getting sick of washing 4-5 bowls after every meal. It's a nice size (our tot just turned 2) and my picky eater was visibly impressed when delivered her first meal on this plate. (exact words: "ooooo")

We don't use the removable rim, I found it not terribly useful, and we revert back to bowls for messy things like mac and cheese, since the half moon shape is hard to chase food around in anyway. I like that it is designed to grip a bit on a table, but will still slide a little too, not like a suction cup. A few months in, it seems to be holding up well in the diswasher-it has a smooth surface so things don't get stuck on or stain easily, hopefully it will hold up over many washings. I would still really love to find something similar but in something non-plastic, but this will do for now. We will probably order another eventually.

One year update: back to buy spare. The plate has held up VERY well considering how much we use it. It has scratched a bit (my fault, I was using a sharp knife to cut food directly on it) but other than that it's great. Now that we have other larger divided plates, I've come to appreciate the smaller portion sizes on this plate and the dipping section in the center. I have wished *many* times over the past year that this plate came with a lid, so I could use it as a portable lunchbox or store leftovers easily. But still overall a very good product.

Shown in the video are two toddler plates the Oxo Tot plate and Fresh Baby plate (Fresh Baby Plate and So Easy Toddler Food Cookbook Value Pack, English). They are both divided into sections representing different food groups for a healthy, balanced meal for a child.

Neither plate gives an indication of the appropriate age range for these recommended portions. (Fresh Baby has no indication; Oxo indicates 6 months+). I have been using them for my 3-year old. The plate holds less than the normal amount of food I try to feed her at each meal...but she never finishes what I give her, so perhaps the plate portions are correct for a 3-year old.

Although the Fresh Baby plate looks a lot bigger, they contain about the same amount of food. Fresh Baby has a big lip, so that it just looks bigger from the top. A few notes:

OXO Tot:

1. Made of #1 plastic (made in China).

2. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

3. BPA, PVC, phthalate-free.

4. Weighted, rubberized base to minimize slipping on the table.

Fresh Baby:

1. Made of 100% melamine (made in China).

2. Lead, BPA, phthalate-free.

3. NOT microwave safe. Dishwasher safe.

4. Offers a "value pack" that includes a toddler food cookbook.

I probably would not buy either of these again now that I am better informed about portion control, and my daughter no longer finds them fun. However, I would recommend the Oxo Tot plate if you are looking to buy one. I like Oxo's weighted rubberized base, which is slightly more effective at keeping the plate in place than the Fresh Baby plate. It is also microwave-safe (Fresh Baby is not) and more modern looking for your kitchen, if you are looking to minimize cartoon character take-over of your cupboards.

If you are not comfortable with either material (melamine or #1 plastic), I would recommend the divided plate by Corelle which looks/feels like a "grown-up" plate yet is much more difficult to break.

Is a divided plate a necessity in your kitchen? Probably not. It's more for fun than anything else, and it may perhaps ease your mind about how much your toddler/preschooler should be eating. It's also a nice reminder at each meal to try to provide foods from different food groups.

I like the partitions on the plate because it keeps the foods from tainting each other. Now, I'm not so sure if my daughter really appreciates the partitions. Also, she has not yet made use of the "lip" that is meant to aid with the scooping, but I still really like the product.

I have bought almost the complete OXO line for my baby because I just love them! Highly recommend them! :)

The ring around the top of this plate is perfect for little ones learning to use spoon and fork because it allows them to "scoop" against that ring. Really like the non-skid on the bottom. Ring is removable and easy to clean.
