I have added this one knowing they like it and will readily eat it. My other 4 oz. subscriptions are: carrots, lentil and rice, chicken dinner and sweet potato. Soon I expect to add fruit flavors but the pediatrician advised to wait on fruit jars until they're just a little older and to start out with the vegetable ones. The chicken dinner, which is really chicken with brown rice, was also advised but it has more squash than chicken. When we ordered that, we crossed the threshold and departed from a vegetarian diet for our now 8+ month old babies. We are not vegetarians but consume very little meat and poultry, so I guess our babies follow our personal guidelines, although as an ideal we'd eventually be vegetarians. The only reason I didn't order the squash subscription earlier was that the chicken dinner has so much squash in it.
What I've also discovered is that the features included in managing one's subscriptions (within My Account) are very good. You can tell them you're out and want the next one sooner and several other options as well. I've got several other subscriptions, such as baby formula and also some supplements for the adults in the household, and find the managing subscription feature very handy.

I only write this review to give others a heads-up. My 7 month old had enjoyed this winter squash for around 6 weeks. Heretofore it had been a great product. Unfortunately the last batch we received via my AMZN subscription was as thick as paste. It clearly hadn't been mixed correctly, likely incorrect amount of water.Net net, his grandmother tried to feed him some and my infant son (who is 22lbs and eats like a horse) took one mouthful, tried to swallow but began to gag and choke. I had to turn him face down over my forearm and hit his back until he could clear that spoonful of paste.
Something certainly wrong with this last batch of Winter Squash which had been fine until now I've contacted the company waiting to hear back. If you've ordered any recently make sure sure it doesn't seem absurdly thick if you are thinking of ordering some, may want to pick another.

I feed both my kids Earth's Best brand baby/toddler food when I am unable to prepare food myself. All flavors have a short list of ingredients, good flavor and a nice nutrition profile.I usually wrap these jars in a ziplock bag with a baby spoon and stash in the diaper bag for wholesome food on the go. I like to feed my toddler what my husband or I eat, but it is great having a back-up if she is really not hip to the entree.
Earths Best is the next best thing to mom's cooking ;)
Off label use:
If you are out of oil when making baked goods, like pumpkin muffins, you can add a jar of complimentary flavored baby food in a pinch and they will still come out moist! Happy accidents are worth sharing!

I am actually someone who will buy baby food and eat it just to get some extra serving of vegetables. I put them in smoothies and to add flavor to soups as well. This one I tasted cold and it tasted like squash, nothing artificial and the texture was perfect. Very smooth and creamy which is one thing that I really love about it. Another thing I love is it being organic and GMO free. These are packed with nutrition perfect for growing babies. I did notice however though when I heated it up the taste changed which I found to be strange. Heated up it tasted like spaghettio's which was kind of a turn off to me. I dont know how the babies feel but I am sure they wont know the difference. I think that I will stick to buying cascadian farms frozen winter squash. That has a better taste when heated up. But for smoothies and soups, possibly even to put in bread to moisten I will be purchasing this from Earths Best.
