I was shopping around for alternatives to the expensive Baby Bullet food making system, and stumbled across this item. It is low-cost but a high-quality hand blender. The beaker is a super bonus feature, and was what sold me on the blender itself--because you really could just buy any stick blender, but the beaker with spout makes it really convenient for blending baby food and pouring into trays. Plus I love the color! And it's easy to wash--the blending arm detaches and just needs rinsing. Plus, it comes with a 5-year warranty. Awesome product!

So far so good. I bought this specifically for pulsing wheat grass powder drinks and it works well. It has 2 speeds but almost too powerful for my weak juice based drinks as even in the big plastic mix cup it sloshes out pretty good. My only complaint is that it gives off that "electric mixer smell". Maybe it will go away after more use and more heating up of the insides over time? A big plus is that shaft is metal, as well as the mixer head shield at the bottom, it is not simply metal colored plastic. It took a few seconds to figure out how to connect the shaft to the mixer (I thought it was broken when I took it out of the box and tried to connect it), but once you figure out the push-in and twist of the shaft, its a no brainer after that. The shaft cleans easy and you can leave the mixer plugged in where you want it and just detach the shaft for cleaning. I was able to make SNOW CONES with this by filling the plastic cup with crushed ice from the refrigerator and pulsing it in the cup. Makes a nice fluffy snow for snow cones, teething babies, etc.

This is the best blender ever. I was a bit hesitant considering the pricebecause most time you get what you pay for, but this is a great find. It is so powerful! It pulverized the 6 serving meat and lentil dish -within 1-2 minutes!! WOW! It is comparable to the high end hand blenders in terms of performanceprobably better. The yellow color looks cutebut it may not be for everyone and it certainly was not a deciding factor in my purchase. It is very easy to clean! No fussy parts, no crevices. It is very easy to handle, and feels very substantial. NOT FLIMSY AT ALL. I did not have the heating or smell issues that some other reviewers cited, but then again I did not need to use it very long in this instance. GREAT PRODUCT!!

I bought this with the express desire to make mayonnaise right in the jar. My old blender (a wedding gift) died after 19 years. It is so powerful I have to use the lower speed. If you don't work quickly the stem and blades get hot and breaks your emulsion. I love the BPA free cup that came with it. It was real handy for whipping cream for pies at Thanksgiving, and storing the leftover cream in my packed refrigerator!

I docked this one star because I have to agree with other reviewers that the motor smells horrible when in use.

I make a lot of different soups and this is perfect! It was a great price and more powerful compared to the other hand blenders that I was looking at (at the time). Mine was not the yellow color that is in the picture.
