I contacted Naturepedic about this problem and was told that they are aware that their mattresses do not work with several popular crib manufacturers, including DaVinci, Ikea, Pottery Barn, and others that I cannot now remember. I asked why they do not advertise this point and was told they would look into that. I suspect their mattresses will not work with any crib with the standard 28" width, given the measurements that I took. Shame on Naturepedic for not sizing their product correctly and thus creating a dangerous crib environment. As another poster stated here, I also had a similar experience with receiving a mattress that was too small. I bought the Naturepedic Dual Firmness Lightweight mattress on Overstock.com. I purchased the Graco Lauren Convertible Crib. The mattress was 1 1/2 inches short on both sides. Enough space to roll up a towel and stick it in the gap. After reading this review and response from Naturepedic, I contact the customer service number listed here and explained my issue over voicemail. They returned my call the same day leaving me a message to email them an explanation of the issue, my mailing address, and where I purchased the mattress. I didn't even have to provide a receipt. They immediately shipped me a replacement mattress along with paid postage to ship the mattress back in the box I received the new mattress in. The new mattress fits perfectly and my little girl loves it. Naturepedic couldn't have been easier and more helpful. I really appreciate their no hassle, no questions customer service. I would definitely recommend this product and company.

This is an excellent mattress of quality workmanship and worth the expense. It's very light and managable; however, it utilizes an unstructured framework that runs about an inch small in length. The shortness created a gap on the ends that was too wide for our standard-sized crib (28 wide by 52 1/4 long). We exchanged it for the boxspring 252 model, which seems to run a little bigger and fits tightly all the way around.I bought this mattress after reading the reviews and baby bargains book recommended the mattress also. The mattress is light weight feels super sturdy etc. easy to change the sheets! However, my 5 month old is off the chart for baby weight and the bed started to sink in. I don't normally write reviews. If you think your baby is going to be big (my husband is 6'3" tall big guy), you might consider a different mattress? I contacted Naturepedic and customer service was excellent. They didn't ask for pictures only proof of purchase. They shipped me a new mattress with free return shipping. Good luck out there.. being a parent is the best thing in the world!I shopped around looking for the best organic mattress for my son. This is the only one that is safe at every layer, still waterproof, and a good buy since it has two different firmness options.
