Similac NeoSure Infant Formula Powder with Iron, 13.1-Ounces (Pack of 6)

My baby was born at 34 weeks and was only 4 1/2 lbs. She spent 22 days in the NICU at the hospital, and this was the formula they recommended. By the time she left the hospital, she weighed 5 lbs, 5 oz! Now she is 5 months old and weighs 14 lbs and is healthy and happy as can be!

The only criticism I have is that it can be hard on babies' tummies. I had to cut her Neosure amount in half and supplement the other half with Similac's Sensitive formula. Since I started that (at about 2 1/2 months) she has felt MUCH better and she hasn't missed a beat in her weight gain and healthy check-ups!

The price per can works out to be higher than what it is in CVS/Walgreens stores. They are selling it for 14 dollars only. Why you guys are asking for 92 dollars for 6-pack, which means it will be around 15.3 dollars?

My baby was on this from 0-9 months as she was a premie. She did very well on it. It has 22 cals per ounce as opposed to 20 cals per ounce like the other formulae. It is a bit more expensive but was worth it.

In October of 2011 my wife and I became the parents of twins; a boy and a girl. They were 6 weeks premature and had to spend two weeks in our local NICU. Similac Neosure was the formula that both of them could stomach. They initially tried other brands but one or the other couldn't hold them down. Well, almost 6 months later and we're still feeding them Similac NeoSure. The product seems fine I guess I have to give it the majority of the credit for my once 3lbs babies now weighing between 12-13 pounds!

What I don't like about this product is the small can that it comes in. The pack of 6 is the best value for your dollar but it still doesn't go very far. My wife and I buy about one case a week, that's nearly 400 dollars a month in formula!

A tip to parents of multiples; we make our formula once a day and that will last through the day. We pour in 58 ounces of water and add 28 scoops of NeoSure (both of us hate the scooping part). We use a large blender for our storage container. This makes mixing and storage that much easier! Good luck out there!

We tried all the organic dairy based formulas and this one was the grittiest. It kind of separated in the bottle, so when my baby got to the end, there was a pile of mush in the bottle. We ended up not having luck with store prepared formula because there is just too much iron in it. There was a horrible smell to the formula that only intensified when mixed as directed. My son refused to get anywhere near this formula. I thought he was over reacting so I tried to taste it and nearly lost my lunch! Seemed like a great product until we recieved it. Save your money any find something else. Got this product because it was labeled gluten free. For other celiacs out there... enfamil is totally gluten free as well and my son was happy to drink it.

I'm not sure why previous reviewers have said that their children couldn't eat these because they were too hard. My 11 month old doesn't have any molars and he eats them two at a time, and loves them!!! I tasted them and they are rather tasteless, but if my kid likes them, who cares!

I purchased these on a whim at the supermarket when my son was 10 months because I liked the fact that there wasn't a lot of sugar in it. Also, it's organic and contains all whole grains.

I tried these out for an option that my 9 month old with a wheat allergy could try...since there are not many finger foods for baby with a wheat allergy on the market. I opened the box and noticed how big they were so I tried one myself and they are quite hard, so I broke 1 in 3rds and it took awhile for my baby to dissolve it in his mouth. I would not recommend this as a first finger food and I am going to wait until my baby has molars also before I offer them to him again. If your baby has a wheat allergy I suggest using Baby Mum Mums and yogurt melts (happy Baby has an organic brand) Also I have tried honey dew and cantalope as finger foods

I've been looking for a healthy snack and breakfast cereal for my toddler for a long time. I want something that's high in calcium and other essential nutrients, yet low in sodium and sugar. Babies have more sensitive taste buds so something tasteless to us can be tasty to them. Actually, I still wish these puffs are a little less sweet though although it's already considered as low in sugar. It may seem like a case of Teddy Puffs is a lot to buy in one batch, but you'd be surprised how quickly the boxes disappear. Bright Beginnings Organic Powder - 23.2 oz

My wife, child, and I have been very satisfied with this product. We are primarily feeding with breast milk, but we are supplementing with formula. We knew that we had to make sacrifices by including formula in our baby's diet, but we wanted to find the best formula we could. Thus far we have been happy with "Bright Beginnings Organic." We looked at Similac's organic formula, but we were turned off by this NYTimes article.

After researching Bright Beginnings, I found this write-up particularly helpful in making my decision:

In practice, we have not noticed a lot of gas with this formula, and our baby shows no hesitation in taking this formula. I will say that I see a bit more gas when I get lazy and shake the bottle to mix the formula rather than stirring it but I can't blame the product for this.

Thus far, we are very happy with this product, and we feel good about our choice for now.

We adopted a newborn & I researched high & low to find an organic formula for our little one. I have been very pleased with Bright Beginnings. I only wish I could purchase it at my local organic store.

Although our baby had no problems eating it, we did notice some increased fussiness in the hours after feeding her this formula (compared to breast milk feedings). Both milks were fed out of the same bottles, so that is probably not the source of the difference.

From an aesthetic standpoint, this formula stays really gritty after mixing and foams quite heavily. I'm unsure if this is what contributed to the fussiness, but that possibility exists.

We ended up switching to Earth's Best organic formula. It is more expensive, but foams less, isn't gritty and doesn't result in post-feeding fussiness. Unlike the Bright Beginnings formula, the Earth's Best is verging on indistinguishable from breast milk in the bottle, with a similar smell and taste.

Other than the fussiness, however, we didn't notice any increase in constipation or spit-up with the Bright Beginnings formula, and it is cheaper the the EB brand.

Rather than dump the remaining powder, we plan to start mixing this in with mashed foods around 4-6 months.

I'm trying to transition my 9 month holland lop from Oxbow alfalfa to this timothy hay but they don't really enjoy the taste of this hay yet. I gave this product 5 stars because its a high quality hay for a good price but I bet my rabbits would give it a 3 for taste. Be sure your rabbits like timothy hay before you purchase this in bulk! I ordered three 15 oz. bags of Timothy hay for my dwarf mix rabbit, as it's his favorite. I thought ordering the smaller bags would mean that the hay would remain fresh longer; I personally didn't notice much of a difference, but I did notice my rabbit wasn't a fan he likes the longer cut strands of hay, and somehow the hay was turned to dust in the bottom of these bags the hay was in tiny pieces. He wasn't impressed, and neither was I.

Nestle Nestum Infant Cereal 5 Cereals, 300 Grams

We just started giving our 7 month old baby boy this cereal and he LOVES it. I mix formula with it and it is sweet but not overpowering. This cereal is also nutritionally dense as is required for babies this young. Just a note, you can get this much cheaper at your local Walmart than at Amazon. It is $3.12 at Walmart and even with taxes 6 cans of this will come out to be less than $20 (compared to $26.60 at Amazon)

My baby boy loves it a lot! He eats it with everything, milk, fruit and veggie purees all day long.

Nestum is a wholesome cereal for infants or growing children, as well as adults with eating challenges. It is not too sugary

Peg Perego Skate Child Tray

If I could choose less than 1 star, I would. I have the Peg Perego Skate, when you attach this idiotic tray it is on slant it doesn't sit flat so you can't put any food or drink on it because it falls out the BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY EVER! Very disappointed!

Purchased for my daughters 2010 Skate stroller, fits great with out any problems. Seat has to be lifted fully upright to get proper use out of the tray. DD is able to reach for her snacks with out any problems.
