Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Baby Food, 4.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Juicy Pear and Garden Greens Baby Food, 3.5-Ounce PouchesCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program The product itself is pretty straight forward. It's got pureed organic baby food in a little pouch. Easier to transport than the little glass jars. If your baby eats a lot, there's a lot more food per pouch. The nozzle and cap makes it easy to squeeze straight onto a spoon and feed baby with no mess (at least on this end). Also, since the food theoretically is being transferred from the pouch to the spoon, you don't have cross-contamination of the baby's mouth germs being reintroduced back into the jar of baby food.

The color of this particular product leaves a bit to be desired. But the flavor was fine (to me) and the pear and garden greens combo is pretty nice and healthy.

I echo the same concerns that another reviewer posted. I actually got this product a little earlier since I knew my baby would be eating in a month or so. Lo and behold, once I opened it when he was ready for solids, the expiration had already passed. Perhaps this is only an issue for the free stuff we're getting through Vine reviews; I sure hope so. But somebody ought to think twice about giving out stuff on the cusp of expiration that is meant for babies and their uniquely sensitive systems. This is also relevant given that the baby food comes packaged as a pack of 12. Now, I don't know who would buy a package of 12 food pouches of the *exact* same flavor. Your baby must really love pear and greens. Moreover, I mentioned that each pouch is 4.5 ounces. That's more than 2 glass jars' worth. My personal thought is that unless your child has texture issues or low oral muscle tone, the baby is probably going to move through the pureed food stage a lot faster than you could possibly go through 12 pouches of this baby food (I'm assuming that you're also providing him/her with other flavors, though).

I also recommend looking into the Happy Baby brand of baby food. It also comes in neat little pouches and has organic pureed fruits and veggie combos; but it adds additional Salba grains that are naturally rich in Omega-3s. If you found this review helpful, please let me know!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I ate one of these pouches so I would know what to expect from them. Honestly, all I could taste was pear so although I believe the other ingredients mentioned are in them, they are pretty sweet, and I worry about creating a baby with a sweet tooth as a result. There are few ingredients (good in my book I prefer to eat nothing that has more than 5 ingredients) and they appear to be of a high quality.

I miss the old baby food jars which seem greener to me. If you didn't recycle the glass, you could at least save the jars for storage of small items. The BPA-free packaging of these does make it easy to get the contents out, and the lid can be screwed back on so that the pouch can be finished later, but overall, there is a lot of trash generated from them.

My baby absolutely loves this food! He's been eating Earth's best and Gerber purees regularly, and he will eat those just fine, but when I've given him the Baby Gourmet food, he practically wolfs it down. I've tasted it and it actually tastes pretty good! Now, my only issue with this food is how ridiculously expensive it is. We received about 10 packets for free at an event, and that's pretty much the only reason we tried them. I wish we could buy more but the price point is just a little too much.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I make my daughter's baby food because my previous experience with store-bought foods (granted it was many years ago) was that they were overly processed, foul tasting, and inconvenient. The food never tasted anything like what the label proclaimed it to be and usually tasted rather flavorless or sour, and they were only available in clunky containers that were annoying to pack or store. This looked different so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did.

First, and most important to me, the food is made of all natural and organic ingredients. Second, I can clearly taste the vegetables and fruit in each bite, and I can identify them as greens and pear. Third, the storage container is extremely convenient. I don't have to worry about the package breaking open in her bag and it is easy to serve her exactly the amount I desire.

The packaging recommends that the product be consumed within 24 hours and in my house that is no problem. My sometimes-reluctant-to-eat 6 month old had absolutely no difficulty polishing off a container in a day. And if she did, it tastes so good that I would probably not mind finishing it off. She loves the taste and the consistency is great for someone just starting on purees.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As we were preparing for the arrival of our 7 month old grandson, I ordered this Vine selection for him. He is not a picky eater, but he does have some foods that he will not eat. He gets this funny face, gags, and then spits it up. It is quite cute actually as the grandparent many more things are cute this time around. So after a round of gags with a new pumpkin organic something or another, we tried this pear and garden greens food combo. It is made up of a blend of organic pears, organic broccoli and organic spinach. He face went from gags to smiles, his hands starting to whirl and his mouth kept opening until the packet was empty. And I stood there with my mouth open no, not for this concoction, but because who in the world would think that these three foods would be anything that a human would like. But like it he did. We fed him 7 packets in 7 days and he never tired of it.

Highly recommended.

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Blends - Banana/Vanilla - 4/3.5 Oz Cups (Pack of 2)

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Blends - Banana/Vanilla - 4/3.5 Oz CupsContrary to what the other review said, this banana/vanilla yogurt has the best flavor of any of the Gerber graduates yogurt blends that we have tried! My three year old granddaughter absolutely loves this yogurt, and every time I ask her which flavor of yogurt she wants, she always asks for this one. Unfortunately, I can no longer find this yogurt locally (and we are down to one cup left), and the price for it here on Amazon is ridiculously high! A total of eight cups for ten dollars + shipping is highway robbery when these cost $2.65 for a 4 pack when I could get them locally. The 5 stars is for the product alone, not for Amazon or the marketplace sellers who are trying to rob people on this product! They get 0 stars, in my opinion.

Whoever thought this was a good idea was an idiot. I know that this is made for children, babies even, but we had some in the house and I was hungry and I love yogurt and I love bananas and so I was kind of anxious to try this. The fact that these don't have to be refrigerated caused me to wonder about their flavor. I assumed they would be more of a pudding, but what I go was some weird amalgam that made my stomach turn. The flavor is a mixture of yogurt and banana pudding; two wonderful things that come together to make something almost rancid in flavor. The banana flavor is cloying, but it is the underlying yogurt flavor that makes this disgusting. It really does taste like sour dairy. I threw the rest of it out (and we had a ton of this stuff). My daughter wouldn't touch it. She spit it out and I don't blame her.

OXO Tot Top Medium Square Storage Container, Green, 30.4 Ounce

OXO Tot Top Medium Square Storage Container, Green, 30.4 OunceI like these a lot because the size and shape accommodate lots of different things that we need to store. We put sliced cheese and sandwich meats in them, as well as leftovers. We have lots of smaller amounts of leftovers. These are easy to open and close. I have the same style and shape that is not called "Tot," but I like these because I like the green color better than plain white.

One of the main features I appreciate in this kind of food storage container is the ability to microwave it. Who wants to re-package their food before heating, after all? But although this item's description claims it is microwave-safe, IT IS NOT. The very first time I used it to heat food int he microwave, it melted. (It was in the microwave for less than 2 minutes.)

If you only store foods meant to be eaten cold in this container, you'll be pretty happy. It's cute, closes and opens easily, and is leakproof. It also presses a bit of the air out of the container upon closing, making a more secure fit. Salads might be good to store in this container. Other options might be cut veggies and fruits, cold sauces, puddings, jello, potato salad, pasta salad, pickles, baby food, cookies, chocolates,a bit of uncooked cookie dough, etc.

I like this storage container too. The plastic is also very thick and it is not leaking at all either. I use it to contain my baby's sandwich everyday. It is very convenient. I love it.

Gerber Good Start Gentle Ready To Feed, Tetra Pack, 8.45 fl oz. (Pack of 24)

Gerber Good Start Gentle Ready To Feed, Tetra Pack, 8.45 fl oz.This formula is amazing! Our son loves it. We hated the idea of giving him powder and then Gerber came out with this Tetra Pack ready to feed formula, which we find much better than other kind of packaging for this type of product (instead of cans or plastic bottles). No constipation at all or fussiness so far. The problem is that this product is hard to find in any supermarket or pharmacy, or if you find it, there is only a small quantity of it. This is something we do not understand, since from our experience, we find that Gerber quality is much better than Enfamil or Similac.

My daughter was on Good Start Gentle before finally moving to Similac Alimentum when her milk protein allergy was diagnosed. After 6 months of spending $500+ on formula, we were given the go ahead to try Good Start again. She struggled with the taste (Alimentum tastes AWFUL and Gerber Good Start is sweet in comparison) at first, but we tried switching her again by giving Good Start as the first bottle of the day and she had no problems. She's been on it for 6 weeks now and has no more gas or fussiness than she did on Alimentum. We love Gerber Good Start!

When she was on Good Start Gentle previously, we used the 8.45 oz cans or the quart-size cans. Neither of those can be found anywhere. The new packing is great and weighs a lot less. I buy it as Babies R Us or Target they always seem to have some in stock, even if it's only the 4-packs ($6.29 at Target!). The 24 pack cases seem to run about $39.99 when they are in stock. Babies R Us has had two specials in a row on them (buy 2, get $10 off instantly; then buy 2, get $15 off instantly), which they honor on multiple purchases in one visit. They also do rainchecks if it's not in stock.

Hopefully Amazon will get some more in stock soon we go through 4 cases a month!

My son seemed to take to this formula well. I was breastfeeding for about 3 months but wanted to transition to formula when I went back to work (no time to pump!). He'll drink both the ready made as well as the powder with no problem with the transition. Also, his poop was very similar to when he was exclusively breastfed.

Before we found Gerber Good Start, we did try Similac Advanced which made his poop very thick and dark. We also tried Enfamil Gentelese and he did not want to drink it. I did taste the three formulas and Gerber Good Start tasted similar to my breastmilk (sorry if that is weird). My doctor said Similac had more sugar in its formula and it seemed thicker than Good Start. Enfamil Gentelese had a weird taste so I understand why my son did not want it.

We love this formula!! We started supplementing with the Gerber Gentle, but our daughter had a bit of an allergy and reflux so we went with the Gerber Soy until she was 5 months. While transitioning back to the Gerber Gentle, we found that the thinness of the powder formula really aggravated her reflux. This ready to feed works so much better for our family! The new packaging means less weight to carry in her diaper bag. I would give it 5 stars if the carton was resealable since she's only drinking about 5 of the 8.45 ounces.

I love this food and my child has had no issues with it. Containers are easy to use.

However I did send it back because it sat on my front step for 2 days in 100 degree plus weather and didn't feel safe using it. So be aware of temps.

Gerber Graduates Grabbers, Apple, Pear Peach, 4.23-Ounce (Pack of 8)

Gerber Graduates Grabbers, Apple, Pear Peach, 4.23-OunceFirst off it's false advertising for Amazon to say you are saving 92%. This is simply 8 Gerber Grabbers, like you would buy in the store. The only difference is, these cost 14 cents more an ounce than they cost me at Safeway. And they are even less at Target.

As for the product itself, my son loves them and I buy many of them at target.

A nearby Fresh and Easy Market had a sale bin featuring Gerber's Graduates Grabbers in the Apple, Pear and Peach variety. I remembered those squeezable fruit packets when our little boy was a toddler. It was an easy way to get a variety of fruits into him, even when he wasn't particularly interested. Plus, I'd have one every now and then and they were good. Ah, yes, and here were a bunch of them on sale. Well, I bought one just for nostalgia's sake. I drained it in short order. Very easy. No wonder they're so good with kids. Nice tasting too. Somewhat tart, or at least not so sweet. Quite good.

green sprouts 10 Pack Sprout Ware Infant Spoon

green sprouts 10 Pack Sprout Ware Infant Spoon, GirlThese spoons are very shallow and when my son just started solids (5-6 mo) they were just perfect. The munchkin ones are very popular on Amazon and we have those too but my son was unable to get all the food off of those spoons because they were too deep for him. He is 7 months now and he can do either set of spoons now but these are what we are used to so we still use them daily. The instructions say the colors do bleed if you use them a lot and that is natural. Looking at how all baby spoons get chewed up and worn at the tip because they are made to be soft for babies, I feel better if my son chews on these.

When I first received these and opened the box, I was wondering how these could work for a baby over 4 months old. The end of the spoon is very small, and sort of flat, but I ended up liking these much more than the other spoons I had been using (Munchkin). They aren't shallow, so the food doesn't get stuck on the spoon. And you can actually get a lot of food on these spoons. AND, they're all natural (no icky plastic chemicals). Love them! I would definitely recommend these and buy them again if I needed more.

Great size for 4mo and more. I like the material. Cleaning is a bit more difficult as it has antislip surface, but those few seconds are worth it.

These spoons are teeny tiny, even for baby spoons. The picture looks normal enough, and the package says "ages 3-12 months," but don't be fooled--these spoons aren't big enough for any baby over five months. My nine-month old is little (25th percentile), and doesn't like big bites, but these spoons are way too small even for her. They are half the size of the Munchkin soft-tip spoons, and Munchkin spoons themselves are smaller than most other brands.

Another thing you can't see very well from the picture--these spoons are almost completely flat. There is no "bowl" or "dip" in the spoon to hold food. Can you still pile a lot of food onto it? Sure, but the food is much less likely to stay on the spoon all the way to your baby's mouth.

Finally, these spoons are not durable. They immediately get marked up if your baby is old enough to have teeth. I've not had this problem with other plastic spoons.

I love Greensprouts and their safe baby products, so I was very disappointed to discover these spoons were not functional. I hope that they are able to redesign this product in the future.

I love this product. It is perfect for infants that are just beginning soft solids. The bowl of the spoon is relatively flat and small, fitting perfectly into the mouth. The design of the handle is wavy, similar to a flattened letter "s" and makes for smooth placing of the spoon to the mouth. I have used many infant feeding spoons over the years, and this is by far the best. It is lightweight. The item is recommended to wash by hand to preserve longevity. Good price for 10 spoons. The colors are gentle pastels true to the photo image.

Jar Holder+Bendi Spoon

Jar Holder+Bendi SpoonI love this product I have one at home and another in the diaper bag. No need to bring a bowl with you. The soft spoon holds a lot of food and is very safe too bad they don't sell the spoons individually as they are great for self-feeding infants.

* Silicone baby-food jar holder

* Base suctions to any non-porous surface

* Prevents jar from slipping and sliding

* Bendable, contoured, soft-tipped spoon

* is gentle on the gums

* Lightweight and travel-friendly

* Dishwasher and microwave safe

Not much to say here. We love this and bought another base to use. Dishwasher safe or just wipe it. Very handy.
