Petite Creations 8 Count Baby Cubes, 1 Ounce

Petite Creations 8 Count Baby Cubes, 1 OunceWe were still in the hospital and had been parents about half a day when we told someone we planned to puree our own food so that we didn't have to pay for all of those Gerber jars. Someone told us about putting baby food in ice cube trays, the advantage being that you could freeze as many squares worth of food as you need and it would stay fresh, then as the baby gets older, when you go to feed him or her you grab x squares of food.

Of course, as soon as we'd received that piece of advice, someone was telling us otherwise -that you need to somehow cover the ice cube trays so that bacteria doesn't get in there, to prevent freeze burn, and besides that, it's hard to break out just a couple of cubes from an ice cube tray. You can twist and pop an ice cube tray but you never know how many are going to come loose at once. Plus it's not like an automatic ice maker and you can just dispense a few squash cubes; you need something to carry them in.

This product solves almost all of the concerns of the original ice cube tray suggestion. We still puree sweet potato or green beans and put it in the little containers. It's fresher than the Gerber stuff and less expensive, with no preservatives. Since each cube comes out of the tray and has a lidded plastic container, it's convenient to grab a handful of them for a day trip and then pull them out and use them as needed. As they defrost in the car, I can even feed our daughter right out of the plastic container.

Now of course, none of this guarantees your kid is actually going to EAT what you've prepared for them, but that's not the fault of the containers; that's just how babies are sometimes.

I started out using these, but had problems with the lids popping open in the freezer. They also don't stand well in their trays. As my baby got bigger, I needed bigger cubes, so I tried the 2 oz cubes expecting the same problems. I love the 2 oz cubes better. The lids are deeper so that they snap and stay on better...and trays are deeper so that they stand in the fridge/freezer better. If you're going to buy cubes for freezing baby food, go with the 2 oz. You'll use them eventually and they have 1 oz measurements on the side if you absolutely need it. I gave these 3 stars because I do love the fact that they're BPA free and allow me to freeze and heat them without any worries.

These have just been great! I had heard about freezing food in ice cube trays and then putting them into a freezer bag for keeping longer but I liked the convenience of feeding from the same container. I bought three sets to start and filled them up in a week. I just wish I had a few more. I plan to get the 2 ounce size also. Just don't go over the "max" fill line or they pop open because of the expanding food.

I usually take one day a week to cook and puree enough fruits and veggies to last the week, purchasing what fresh produce is in season, or fresh-frozen alternatives. Just one hour in the kitchen once a week is all the time I spend on making baby food, and I love that. I didn't love these food storage cubes, however.

Like other reviewers, I found that the lids rarely stayed in place, whether in the freezer or the fridge, and if you filled a cube even barely above the line, the lid will pop open in the freezer due to expansion. Don't toss one in your diaper bag for even short outings, either, or you'll have a mess on your hands.

I found that 1-ounce cubes were much too small for my baby's needs. Filling up 2 trays of these cubes didn't last us a week. My daughter is a healthy eater and it wasn't long before 1 ounce of food didn't satisfy her, and it became a pain to thaw and heat several cubes at once. One ounce is about the size of an ice cube and if you want portions that small, it would be easier to fill a standard ice cube tray, freeze, then pop the cubes out and store in a freezer bag.

Also, washing these little cubes by hand was a hassle for me, especially when there are so many other baby items in my life that need hand-washing. To put them in the dishwasher, you have to place them in a basket and they often would nest within each other during the wash cycle and not become clean, or the heat would warp them. The plastic stained easily, too, especially with orange foods.

I eventually purchased several packs of Gladware 4-ounce round containers. These are a nice size, a bit larger than baby food jars, so a few containers in the fridge would last us through several meals for a day or 2, and the rest went in the freezer. Before bed each night, I would pull a few more containers from the freezer to thaw in the fridge for the next day. Fast, easy, convenient. They also wash up nicely in the dishwasher and I've never had one pop open in the diaper bag.

Occasionally one of the blue Gladware lids with crack from having been frozen, heated, and washed repeatedly, but they're so inexpensive that tossing one in the recycling bin now and then wasn't a lot of money down the drain.

Baby #2 is on the way and I look forward to refining my homemade baby food routine ... but I wont be using these cubes! Time to buy some more Gladware containers.

Hi, I bought these, thought they looked practical and sounded good. well I have used them for the first time, filled them below the line and placed them on the tray in the freezer next morning all the lids had popped open.

Acidentally dropped one as I took it out of the freezer today and the lid smashed off.

Not happy with this product at all.

I wish I had thought of the ice-cube tray and then slipping into zip-lock freezer bags I wouldn't have wasted my money on these.

And to top it all off I bought two trays!!

Hot-Kid Baby Mum-Mum Rice Biscuit Apple, 1.76 Ounce (Pack of 6)

Hot-Kid Baby Mum-Mum Rice Biscuit Apple, 1.76 OunceBought these rice biscuits for the grandbabies to try and they LOVE them! Easy to "bite" and dissolve fairly quickly on the tongue, and they really can hold them easily. Not as messy as a cookie, and better for them! Moms like to pack them for easy on the go snacks and the flavors are not too sweet but still tasty. Would definitely buy again, bought the banana and veggie Mum-Mums too!

This is a great product, my toddler has had other flavored mum mums and the apple is his favorite. I had two friends suggest mum mums to me when my baby was starting solid foods, this has been a product that's always been in our household since those days. They dissolve instantly in babies mouth for easy eating, and they have a crunch baby loves.

Glow Baby Shopping List Pad, Purple

Glow Baby Shopping List Pad, PurpleI can't live without a magnetic grocery list pad like this. The second I use something up, I add it to the list. This list has a great layout I love that there are two rows for listing ingredients (twice as many can be listed) and I also love that I can write my dinners up at the top so that I can see at a glance whether I've planned enough meals.

The only negative is that eventually, the list came off of the magnet backing. This has happened with every such list I've ever used so I can't knock it too many stars for that but I wish they'd come out with one that lasts until the very last page.

Gerber Graduates Lil' Entrees, Pasta Stars in Meat Sauce, 5.5-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

Gerber Graduates Lil' Entrees, Pasta Stars in Meat Sauce, 5.5-Ounce Boxesi get these at walmart for 1.50/piece.my boy likes all of them, they are very convenient, which is why i get them, the veggies and entrees are perfect for little mouths.i usually take them to the sitters house, which makes it easier for her, my dad thinks they are easier and keeps them in stock for when my boy is over there,my only complaint is they are small, you can get frozen tv dinners with more stuff for same price, but these ones don't have to be frozen, and the food is precut.i lovethem when i go to a friends house because they are pretty much prepared already.you just microwave for like45 seconds, and grab a spoon and done!

No need to help feed baby any of the entrees from gerber graduates. She completely goes after it and finishes the whole thing.no matter which one.

This is one of the most nasty things I have ever smelt. The entree is equivalent to alpo. Will not let my child ingest such a inedible meal. I had a friend who fed this to her child and picked one up for mine the barbecue chicken, worst thing I ever smelled. Then the pick up pasta was the worst. Cook for your baby please cuz this is the worst.

My 14mo daughter took two bites (one of the entree and one of the veggie) and spit them out. She's not a picky eater by any means, so I tasted it. All I tasted was SALT; not the veggie, not the entree, but SALT. Way to go Gerber, give toddlers' a heart attack!

I have an almost 4 year old and an 18 month old. When my oldest was a baby we tried every flavor of the meals and she hated every single one of them. We had hoped for better luck with my second but she too will not eat these. She'll eat some of the veggies, but spits out the entree.

Plum Kids Organic Crunch 'Ola, 5-Count (Pack of 6)

Plum Kids Organic Crunch 'Ola, Choco Chipster, 5-CountThey do not travel well in school lunches...the kids teachers report that the bags are full of messy little pieces of granola. The kids have trouble eating that. They do tend to crumble easily.

I think my husband and I like to eat these more than my 2 yr old. They are sweet and a little salty. A really good snack for everyone. They are a little crumbly though.

We love these snacks. Filling with a nice chocolate taste. Found them in the store first, but then couldn't find them again so we ordered them. We would definitely order again. Plum Kids has great snacks (not just for kids).

It was not very toddler friendly. They are too hard and crumbly . Babysitter even complained about them. Disappointed, boo

Both of my kids love these, and while they're pricey I am a big fan. They are organic (so GMO-free), have a good texture (won't stick in teeth, or crumble and make a big mess) and are relatively low in sugar. I do wish the Plum Kids brand was priced more reasonably, but considering it's hard to find organic prepackaged snacks, they are a good choice (and at least slightly better priced on Amazon than in the retail store).

Summer Infant Tiny Diner, 5 Years

Summer Infant Tiny Diner, GreenI purchased two of these at the recommendation of a friend, almost 3 years ago for my 1st child and now use them for my second child too. This is wonderful when they started eating finger foods and we would go out for dinner. I didn't have to worry about her (like all kids, licking, biting or as kids always end up doing) eating food off the dirty table tops! The suction cups are strong enough to hold it in place, during a lot of rigerous pulling and tugging which was awesome because my youngest is always trying to yank it off. So far she hasn't had much success and she's a strong little one!

We just attach it to the table, sit her in the high chair and she can feed herself finger foods and I don't have to stress out trying to keep her clean! When she's done eating, I just roll it up, (it's designed to fold into itself and stay that way, until we get home. I wash it, roll it up and it goes back in the diaper bag for the next time. This is also great, because she's always done eating before us, you can roll it up leaving a clean "play" area on the table. I would definitly recommend them!!!

When attaching to the table tops, make sure you dampen the suction cups with a little moisture from the outside of your drink glass and it will stay in place even better!

Buy this! You won't regret it!

We used this with our first daughter, and now we use it with the second. It's very durable. We've had it for two years and still no tears, rips, cracks, etc. I normally wash it in the sink, but occasionally, I throw it in the washer. We love this mat because it keeps her from eating off of a nasty table while we're out it public.

So, why only three stars? The bad part is that the suction cups normally don't work well. It really all depends on the finish of the table. However, most every meal, I have to fight with her (just like I did with my first daughter), so that she won't rip it off. She's 15-months old, and it really is no big deal for her to rip it off the table. If we're not watching, the food will go flying (along with the mat). But it's better if this mat goes flying as opposed to a dish shattering on the floor.

It definitely isn't a sit at the table and forget about it proposition at all. So if that's what you're looking for, this product isn't for you. But if you just want a clean place to put their food while they eat, and you don't mind having to keep one hand close, it does the job.

This place-mat is good in theory. In fact, it does a great job protecting my son from icky table germs when he is eating finger foods. Unfortunately, like most toddlers he seeks out challenges, and is able rip the entire mat of the table within seconds now. He thinks it's a game and laughs every time. With that said, at least it does a good job at staying put. Don't think anything without a suction cup would work at all for us. Another downside is that this mat is a little on the bulky side. Definitely not something you can just keep in your diaper bag. I keep mine stashed in my car for when we eat out. Not a perfect product, but glad I have it!

I had one of these with my first child a couple years ago and it was fantastic. The rubber was thick and the suction cups worked well. I routinely washed it in the washing machine with towels to get it really clean-that worked much better than trying to hand wash.

I bought a new one for my daughter last week because I really wanted something pink. After taking it out of the box I noticed how much thinner and flimsy it is compared to the one I had (same brand, even had the same nursery rhyme on it). The suction cups didn't work well, and after washing it in the machine one time it has several large tears in it.

I realize machine washing is not the recommended way to clean it, but it worked so well in the past that I assumed it would be okay. I think that the fact that it tore on it's first wash shows how much the quality of this product has deteriorated over the last couple of years. I'm disappointed.

I thought I would love this product based on the reviews I read and the need I had for a product like this! But it was a waste of money for me. I have twins and I always try a product out before I commit to buying a 2nd one...I will not be buying a 2nd one! I have Inglesina Hook on high chairs and figured the fact that many reviewers had problems with the suction cups wouldn't pertain to us because the hook on high chairs have arms that would hold it down. The suction cups did not stick to my table and I tried wetting them down like you do if a suction cup won't stick, it didn't help. When I put the hook on high chair arms over the placemat, I couldn't find a good place to clamp the arms down as the suction cups were in the way and it made me a little nervous that the arms weren't clamped down as tight as they should be. The suction cups make the place mat stick up rather than laying flat on the table. The top edge, since it wasn't being held down by the suction cups, curled up and it looked tacky. It ended up being kind of awkward and just wasn't a good fit.

I also didn't care for the catch tray. That was my main reason for buying it, I was tired of the finger foods going to the dogs and thought the catch tray would solve this problem. Since the whole thing is made of rubber, the tray wasn't very sturdy and that made it easy to spill. It also didn't fit well between the table's edge and the hook on high chair. I think if it was a more sturdy material, laid flat with suction cups that really worked, and not this rubbery type material, it could be an even better product. It also would be nice if it was made with hook on high chairs in mind so that their aren't suction cups in the place where the arms would be and room for the catch rtray. Wish I had saved my money, as I have no use for it.

The only plus, it does wipe down very easy!

Neocate Infant With Dha-Ara Box of 4

Neocate Infant With Dha-Ara Box of 4Neonate worked well for my newborn with GI problems. I found the formula worked best when mixed with breast milk. Our son was on a 27 calorie diet. However when he had straight formula it was very difficult and uncomfortable when he had to poop. Also the toots and poops were very stinky.

Item was as described and fast shipping... thanks for great service... Our baby can only use this formula and when we ordered this it was shipped quickly and showed up to my door in exelent shape... A happy baby makes happy parents... thanks again

Enfagrow Premium Older Toddler Vanilla

Enfagrow Premium Older Toddler Vanilla 24 Ounce Powder FormulaI worry that my Toddlers don't get enough iron, calcium and vitamins. So, I add a scoop of the Enfagrow to their milk in the morning. They love the vanilla taste and I'm happy they are getting a good start to their day. Would definitely recommend it to anyone concerned about their child's nutrition. I think it would be a little too sweet, and get expensive, to give them full cups of the formula each day. But adding a scoop to plain whole or soy milk gives good flavor and makes the formula last longer. Give it a try, you'll be surprised how much your kids like it. Each morning I hear "can we have our special vanilla vitamin milk"??

I have been happy with this formula, I did some research on the sugar content... I found that most of the sugar is actually from the lactose in the milk, only 4 grams is actually "added" to the formula. (Even skim milk has a good amount of sugar). This is something I buy to supplement if I feel my 2 year old hasn't been eating enough (you know how 2 year olds are!) then I give her a cup of this to ensure she gets nutrients. She does love it though and sometimes begs for more!

My son is a very picky eater and was only 2 percentile in weight at his 1 year check up. After breastfeeding for 1 year, he refused all milk and formula options. He was looking thin and unwell. Enfagrow vanilla was the one and only remaining formula that I had not tried. I bought into the controversy about the sugar and flavoring.

In Dec., I bought one can to try. Incredibly, my son LOVES it. He has been drinking about 15-20 oz of Enfagrow Vanilla for a couple months now and is just THRIVING on it. The formula enabled us to stop trying to force him to eat so the food wars have come to an end. He now happily eats his finger foods, allows us to feed him his solids and loves his formula morning and night.

Enfamil, thank you so much for such a great product. Parents of the many picky eaters out there, give this product a try. It was such a life changer for us. We are the most appreciative parents.

Worked well for my son though it's on the expensive side! It is good for transitioning between formula and whole milk.

Love the product. Mixes easy, tastes great, love the ingredients (if only they were organic but I know that is asking a lot). only problem is the price, when you compare how much a container makes to Baby's Only Organic Toddler Formula, the Enfagrow is more expensive. I like the product but in the end The Baby's Only is cheaper and organic so Baby's Only it is.
