Similac Expert Care For Diarrhea, For Babies and Toddlers (Pack of 6)

Similac Expert Care For Diarrhea, For Babies and ToddlersWe are so glad we tried this formula! My 11 month old daughter was having horrible diarrhea from antibiotics, so much so we had to change her clothes 6-8 times a day. With the diarrhea came awful side-effects, such as severe diaper rash to the point where every diaper change was a screaming disaster. We were all miserable until we found this. After just 2 days her stools started firming up and came about half as frequent. She had no problem making the switch, even though she had never had soy formula. The only downsides are that it is a little more expensive than regular formula, only comes in ready to feed, and is somewhat hard to find. I was able to find it in my local drugstore, but I noticed it was hit or miss as to if every chain carried it. The ready to feed is not something to turn you away, as this is only meant to be a temporary formula during the diarrhea. Once the diarrhea stops, you are suppose to transition/taper off this to the regular formula your infant/toddler is on. Also, I noticed it gave my daughter some gas, but that was easily fixed with some gas drops. FYI, I was able to purchase it for less than it is sold here, so I would look for it locally before committing to this price. Overall, we are very satisfied customers and recommend this to everyone whos little one is suffering from persistant diarrhea.

My son had horrible diarrhea for two weeks, nothing could get it to stop and no one knew why. Of course along with the diarrhea came the diaper rash, it was open and bleeding by the time we were sent to the ER by our pediatrician.

The ER doc told us about Isomil DF, and gave us a 6 pack sample.

Within 36 hours my son's stools were firming up and the diaper rash was beginning to subside.

This stuff REALLY works. Now we use it whenever he goes on an anti-biotic as they give the little ones horrible diarrhea as well. It even works for this!!

It works wonderfully to get rid of diarrea and tummy aches. My son hates the taste of soy formulas, but drank this down like it was melted ice cream. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. It only comes in ready-made.

My three month old had been having severe diarrhea for over 2 weeks. Several tests were done at the ER (he also had some other issues) and we still had no answers. His pediatrician wouldn't even look at his diaper-he said it was normal. No infection, no cold, no apparent cause. LO had been on Similac Advance since birth, and we had not changed it. His diarrhea just started out of the blue one day. We tried lactose-free, soy, organic Earth's Best, all with no results. Finally, we bought this stuff and gave it to him, hoping it would work, and it did-instantly. The next poo he had was soft and yellow instead of brown water. Guessing it's the added fiber. The only problem is, it says on the bottle not to give it to infants under 6 months. I'm guessing that the nutritional value isn't the same as the other formulas? Also, we noticed that after 2 days of feeding him only this stuff that the tips of his poo were hardened. So now we were facing constipation. Tried half diarrhea and half advance in his next bottle and it worked like magic. His next poo was not too soft, not too hard. It's all a big experiment, and I'm slowing giving him less and less diarrhea stuff and more and more advance with each bottle. We will see how it goes.

Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Changing Pad

Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Changing PadI had to REALLY convince my husband that this changing pad was worth the price. He's now 100% convinced. Our baby loves to hang out on the changing pad. We don't know why, but every once in a while he will get fussy and we put him on this to calm him down. I'm not suggesting that the pad will calm other babies. However, since our little one spends so much time on the changing pad, we are so glad that there aren't any nasty pthlates, PVC, or other bad stuff in it. It gives us peace of mind to know that he's not breathing any of that in while he's laying there.

This pad is much firmer than the cheaper contour pads made of foam. It is made from higher quality materials and I am confident it will last much longer than the cheaper pads. It is pricey pad but well worth the $ especially if your kid is like mine and spends a good chunk of their day on the changing table.

Buy Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Changing Pad Now

My wife and I bought this because the other "Natural" changing pad we bought had a powerful chemical smell that didn't dissipate even with a few days of airing out. We are very pleased that this one has no odor and seems to really live up to its description. It is well-made with heavy stitching, rugged fabric, and good straps and table-mounting screws. However, one downside is that the core of this pad is basically just a pad of polypropylene (plastic) tubes filled with air. I'm not worried about durability or anything, but compared to the foam pad that smelled bad, this one has a lot less structure. It would have been better in my opinion if it had a stiffer back and more cotton stuffing to make the scooped shape a little more pronounced.

I initially gave this only 4 stars, but then I realized that to do so would pull its rank down, and in my opinion this is still better than those foam pads that get 4+ stars, so I'll give it a 5 and just leave these pros and cons in the review. Otherwise people who sort by rating will miss this pad, and my rating will have therefore been counter-productive.

Sturdy, organic and waterproof. Love that it has mounting attachments to the back of the changing table for safety. It doesn't have a non-slip bottom but I used the safety attachments and rubber shelf liner and it doesn't move an inch. I love that it is long as it will last for quite a while. I also like the banked sides.

High quality, comfortable. We've only used it for 5 weeks, but so far we like it a lot, and it feels good knowing that it doesn't contain flame retardants.

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Baby Food, 4.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Baby Gourmet Organic Simple Purees Stage 1(6 Months+) Juicy Pear and Garden Greens Baby Food, 3.5-Ounce PouchesCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program The product itself is pretty straight forward. It's got pureed organic baby food in a little pouch. Easier to transport than the little glass jars. If your baby eats a lot, there's a lot more food per pouch. The nozzle and cap makes it easy to squeeze straight onto a spoon and feed baby with no mess (at least on this end). Also, since the food theoretically is being transferred from the pouch to the spoon, you don't have cross-contamination of the baby's mouth germs being reintroduced back into the jar of baby food.

The color of this particular product leaves a bit to be desired. But the flavor was fine (to me) and the pear and garden greens combo is pretty nice and healthy.

I echo the same concerns that another reviewer posted. I actually got this product a little earlier since I knew my baby would be eating in a month or so. Lo and behold, once I opened it when he was ready for solids, the expiration had already passed. Perhaps this is only an issue for the free stuff we're getting through Vine reviews; I sure hope so. But somebody ought to think twice about giving out stuff on the cusp of expiration that is meant for babies and their uniquely sensitive systems. This is also relevant given that the baby food comes packaged as a pack of 12. Now, I don't know who would buy a package of 12 food pouches of the *exact* same flavor. Your baby must really love pear and greens. Moreover, I mentioned that each pouch is 4.5 ounces. That's more than 2 glass jars' worth. My personal thought is that unless your child has texture issues or low oral muscle tone, the baby is probably going to move through the pureed food stage a lot faster than you could possibly go through 12 pouches of this baby food (I'm assuming that you're also providing him/her with other flavors, though).

I also recommend looking into the Happy Baby brand of baby food. It also comes in neat little pouches and has organic pureed fruits and veggie combos; but it adds additional Salba grains that are naturally rich in Omega-3s. If you found this review helpful, please let me know!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I ate one of these pouches so I would know what to expect from them. Honestly, all I could taste was pear so although I believe the other ingredients mentioned are in them, they are pretty sweet, and I worry about creating a baby with a sweet tooth as a result. There are few ingredients (good in my book I prefer to eat nothing that has more than 5 ingredients) and they appear to be of a high quality.

I miss the old baby food jars which seem greener to me. If you didn't recycle the glass, you could at least save the jars for storage of small items. The BPA-free packaging of these does make it easy to get the contents out, and the lid can be screwed back on so that the pouch can be finished later, but overall, there is a lot of trash generated from them.

My baby absolutely loves this food! He's been eating Earth's best and Gerber purees regularly, and he will eat those just fine, but when I've given him the Baby Gourmet food, he practically wolfs it down. I've tasted it and it actually tastes pretty good! Now, my only issue with this food is how ridiculously expensive it is. We received about 10 packets for free at an event, and that's pretty much the only reason we tried them. I wish we could buy more but the price point is just a little too much.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I make my daughter's baby food because my previous experience with store-bought foods (granted it was many years ago) was that they were overly processed, foul tasting, and inconvenient. The food never tasted anything like what the label proclaimed it to be and usually tasted rather flavorless or sour, and they were only available in clunky containers that were annoying to pack or store. This looked different so I decided to give it a try and I am glad that I did.

First, and most important to me, the food is made of all natural and organic ingredients. Second, I can clearly taste the vegetables and fruit in each bite, and I can identify them as greens and pear. Third, the storage container is extremely convenient. I don't have to worry about the package breaking open in her bag and it is easy to serve her exactly the amount I desire.

The packaging recommends that the product be consumed within 24 hours and in my house that is no problem. My sometimes-reluctant-to-eat 6 month old had absolutely no difficulty polishing off a container in a day. And if she did, it tastes so good that I would probably not mind finishing it off. She loves the taste and the consistency is great for someone just starting on purees.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As we were preparing for the arrival of our 7 month old grandson, I ordered this Vine selection for him. He is not a picky eater, but he does have some foods that he will not eat. He gets this funny face, gags, and then spits it up. It is quite cute actually as the grandparent many more things are cute this time around. So after a round of gags with a new pumpkin organic something or another, we tried this pear and garden greens food combo. It is made up of a blend of organic pears, organic broccoli and organic spinach. He face went from gags to smiles, his hands starting to whirl and his mouth kept opening until the packet was empty. And I stood there with my mouth open no, not for this concoction, but because who in the world would think that these three foods would be anything that a human would like. But like it he did. We fed him 7 packets in 7 days and he never tired of it.

Highly recommended.

Pop Pals Ice Pop Holders, 2 Pack

Pop Pals Ice Pop Holders, 2 Pack, Pink/YellowMy daughter loves popcicles and frozen yogurt tubes so I thought this was a great idea. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have stated, these didn't fit any of the main brands I buy. My daughter kept wanting to use them so we'd wait for the popcicle to melt a little and then put it on but that was difficult and messy. We are now back to just using paper towels. If they were made just slightly bigger, this would be a great product.

I purchased these several months ago and was excited to get them for my 2 daughters. We have yet to be able to use them. They do not fit most popsicles like the packaging states, unless we just happen to buy the 3 different brands of popsicles that these do not fit. We have spent 10 minutes trying to desperately get the popsicle into the PopPals sleeve, without any luck. I'm very unhappy that we haven't been able to use them and I'm hoping to eventually find a popsicle they will work with since we have already purchased them. I love the idea behind them, but they really need to be bigger to work with "most brands" as they are advertised.

The 2 items are very cute but don't serve the purpose! Neither popsicles nor Gogurt tubes could be in it no matter how soft & they are! Frustrating! Don't worth to return so I keep them! 2 stars for the look!

Earth's Best Junior Baby Food Organic My First Soup, 6 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

Earth's Best Junior Baby Food Organic My First Soup, Split Pea and Carrot, 6 Ounce JarsMy son is a picky eater, and especially hates eating textured/dry food. Since I knew he liked butternut squash, I decided to try this flavor out and sure enough he loved it!

The soup has meat and grains, so he's getting all of the food groups, and it's easy enough for him to swallow.

If you have a picky eater like I do, I definitely recommend this flavor for your baby!

The product description does not list the ingredients so here they are:

Ingredients: Organic Vegetables (Organic Peas, Organic Carrots), Water, Organic Ground Chicken, Organic Whole Oat Flour, Organic Split Pea Powder.

This is my kids favorite jarred baby food. I make most of the food at home and in a pinch I revert to Butternut Squash bisque, most other jarred baby food are unpalatable. This is creamy and has chicken and veggies. So it's a win

I usually used to buy this from Babies r us, but with subscribe and save plus the shipping home factor has made amazon.com a fav shopping site.

Tip to make this more calorific: once my baby got to 11 mos and wanted more chunkier food, I used to mash up an egg yolk ( boiled) with a splash of whole milk and make it into a paste, pour in warm Bisque and thicken with oatmeal or brown rice cereal . (disclaimer: my kids have never been allergic to milk or eggs and I started them on it pretty early, you might wanna add formula)

My son loves this "soup". The consistency of the soup is basically the same as thick, smooth baby food (it just doesn't have any chunky bits of food in it as most Stage 3 baby foods do, which qualifies it as a "soup" apparently). When my son was 8 months old, he had a hard time adjusting to chunky foods (gagging and choking, etc.), but I needed to buy him some protein-rich baby foods, as we were weaning.

I was also buying the Sweet Potato and Chicken meal (stage 2), but I really wanted the larger serving that this jar offered. Upon comparing the nutritional content on the two jars, I discovered that this soup has as much protein per serving as the actual meal labeled as Sweet Potato and Chicken perfect!

I was slightly concerned that the "cinnamon" might cause him gas issues or digestive discomfort (it does me sometimes and he is a spitter-upper), but he has no problems whatsoever. And he LOVES the taste. He will eat a whole jar in no time flat (at room temperature, me spooning it in).

My son is now almost 14 months old. He is in the 95% for height and 55% for weight. He has never really adjusted to chunky baby food, which I can't explain, as he now eats finger foods, bananas, berries, pb&j, mac and cheese, chicken, etc. just fine self-feeding. But I still use these Earth's Best Soups pretty much daily to supplement his dinner, to make sure he keeps his weight up to how fast he is growing. He eats on his own for awhile and then I feed him a jar of soup. He still loves them and it is great having an easy source of protein on hand.

My daughter likes this but prefers the chunkier texture of the EB chicken & stars. This was good when she didn't have teeth and wasn't a good chewer like she is now.

Plum Organics Little Yums Teething Wafers

Plum Organics Little Yums Teething Wafers, Pumpkin Banana, 3 OunceInitially, I bought Baby Mum Mums teething wafers for my baby but I stopped buying them once I realized that they were made in Guangzhou, China. I have seen countless recent news articles about problems with quality control in Chinese factories. So, I happily switched to plum organics teething biscuits, which are baked in Italy. They are made with whole grain buckwheat and real fruit & veggies. They easily dissolve in my baby's mouth and my baby likes the flavor, as well. I think that gnawing on them soothes her gums. They are also portable and easy to pack along.

description says product is made of buckwheat but doesn't mention that the first ingredient is "organic rice flour", a.k.a. arsenic.

My 1 year old just got his first teeth last week. I got some of these teething biscuits on sale to try them out; wasn't expecting him to love them so much! He squeals in excitement when I pull one out! :-) They keep my little guy busy if I need to finish cooking dinner or something else; they last him at least 5-10 minutes per cracker. I really like that these biscuits don't crumble or make a mess, and don't break off in large chunks (rather they get softened & "chewed" down). I appreciate the fact that they are organic and have some veggies in them. I highly recommend them!

I heard alot of commments that it looked bad but she drank it with no problem. i'm glad it is reasonable price now but it was 16.99 back then and we made a lot less money. It was a life saving product.

We tried this formula because it is lactose free, my baby does not have any other issues, just lactose intolerant.

We found that it smells bad, does not mix well into water and my baby would not drink a drop.

Naturepedic Organic Cotton Portacrib Mattress

Naturepedic Organic Cotton Portacrib MattressThis is a great portacrib mattress. I bought it because there have been some studies which suggest that SIDS deaths may be related to fire retardant chemicals in infant bedding and the lack of some newborns to process it well. This pad is firesafe through the use of a different, not so chemically laden process. In terms of what buyers said about the pad's thinness, newborns do not need the kind of thick mattresses that adults think of as more comfortable. (In fact, I once heard it put very well: In terms of SIDS safety, "If the mattress looks like it would be comfortable for you, no newborn should be going anywhere near it!") The comfort comes in whatever soft, lovely, tight-fitting material you lay over it. I used the chenille sheets by American Baby Company although for said reasons, I wished I could find something truly organic (not just an organic surface as I saw with some products). I was impressed with the pad it looks and feels very well made, and I don't know how on earth they got an all-cotton surface to be waterproof, but it feels remarkably impermeable without sacrificing comfort. The pad is very firm, more so than many other baby matress thingies the other reviewer should have nothing to fear. The only concern I think people should have with the thickness of the mattress is that you need to make sure your sheets which may be designed with a thicker mattress in mind don't bunch up and become a crumply surface the baby could slide around in too much. If you run into such a problem, safety pin the corners of the sheet's underside together to make it tighter on top.

I really love that this product is organic. It seems to be very comfortable as well. However, I really wish that the portacrib mattress was really a mattress, and not just a pad. My only worry is that it won't last through the 11 months I plan on using the portacrib. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. I also really like the mattress pad by Naturepedic too. I did a lot of research on portacrib mattresses and I feel this is by far the best option! I think that you'll like it if you know that it's just a 2" pad (but a very sturdy and good quality one!).

Buy Naturepedic Organic Cotton Portacrib Mattress Now

I bought this for our mini crib and it fits nice and snug. The "mattress" that came with the mini crib was just a cheap 1.5-inch foam pad surrounded in plastic. It smelled bad and we threw it away. Our baby sleeps great on the naturepedic mattress and I sleep well knowing that he is safe and not breathing in toxic fumes. The price is great, too! We loved it so much, we bought a second one for our pack'n'play since the mattress in that was thin, cheap and probably full of toxic stuff.

This mattress is not very deep, like a regular size crib mattress but thicker than the flimsy "mattress" that came with the pack'n'play and our mini crib. The Naturepedic portacrib mattress feels sturdy and dense with just enough give to be comfy but not so much that it is dangerous for a baby to sleep on safely.

We have the full-size crib mattress also, and it is great, but our little one just never really slept well in the full-size crib. He prefers the mini crib. I'd recommend the naturepedic full-size crib mattress, if you are using a standard crib. Great quality, great fit and we love that it is organic and safe. Eventually he will use the bigger crib mattress when he moves into a toddler bed so I am glad we got it.

When we considered that our baby would be spending 15+ hours sleeping on his crib mattress, we wanted to make sure that the mattress was safe and non-toxic. Naturepedic offered the best quality, user-friendly product, at the most reasonable price, for us. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased. We recommend it to everyone who asks us about crib mattresses.

This arrived so quickly! I love that it's organic, and it seems like it's great quality, but I'm a little annoyed that it's advertised as a mattress when it's clearly not a mattress. It even says on its label that it's a pad. It's super thin, and I'm worried about whether or not it's going to be firm enough for a newborn. I know of no other options for mini crib mattresses that are organic (affordable or otherwise), so I might be stuck with this one. The fact that it's organic and free of dangerous chemicals is the reason I purchased it. I'm a nervous first-time mom, and I'm just not sure how I feel about this springless mattress pad as the primary surface for my baby to sleep on.

Want Naturepedic Organic Cotton Portacrib Mattress Discount?

We bought a full size Naturepedic organic mattress for our toddler's crib when he was born almost 2 years ago, and it's been the best purchase. So when shopping for a mattress for the mini-crib his sister will be sleeping in, I knew I wanted another Naturepedic. So many other organic mattresses are more expensive because they are made with wool and latex 2 things I happen to be allergic to. I liked that this one is made from something I feel is safe for my baby to sleep on, and I feel the price is fair after actually seeing how well it works in our crib.

This portacrib pad/mattress fits the DaVinci/Baby Mod mini cribs perfectly. Our mini crib came with a mattress that was horrible (although the cribs are great), it had gaps between the side and the mattress, and the mattress itself was flimsy and covered in vinyl. This Naturepedic mattress fits great, with a nice tight fit, and it's firm enough for a newborn. It's much sturdier and even half an inch thicker than the mattress provided by our crib manufacturer. I know some reviewers were worried that it's only 2 inches thick, and it's labeled as a "pad", but it is a mattress, and very high quality.

I highly recommend this mattress, and in case you're wondering, we've found that the Carter's Portacrib Sheets fit it perfectly.

Innobaby Packin' SMART Lock & Lock Stacking Bento

Innobaby Packin' SMART Lock & Lock Stacking Bento, BlueberryThese are great. They are very good quality and can be stored neatly into the kid's lunch bag. They are a little smaller than I expected, but in all fairness I didn't pay too much attention to the dimensions before buying them.

The top unit has separators to put different stuff into the compartments. The bottom unit has an extra cover (if you take the top unit off) and is one single compartment. The compartments are a bit too small for the amount of food my 1.5 year old eats, but they can be very good to store snacks.

I had this unit filled with food on the car seat, it slid off without much force, and the whole thing came apart. I got this in hopes of it being secure and leak proof in my briefcase, but the when the sides snap down they do not form a strong seal. I will keep it and use it for storage in the fridge, but not for applications where a durable and secure seal is essential. Nice idea, though. Good for gentle handling.

I first have to say that the customer service is fabulous. I bought this for my kindergartener's lunch. After awhile the hinge to the lid cracked (I believe my child was not putting it together properly or patiently and cranked it down). I contacted customer service and they were very prompt to respond and courteous. A new lid was sent right away. As for the product, I love the design of it, though you do have to get creative with cutting the sandwiches. And I have never had a problem with it leaking.

I bought this for my one-year-old's daycare lunches and snacks and am very pleased with it. I put his morning and afternoon snacks in each side of the divided top compartment and his lunch in the undivided bottom compartment. While I haven't given him anything that involved a significant amount of liquid, I have given him fruit from a fruit cup that I did not drain well at all and it did not leak.

As for size, I think it is perfect for him and would likely even be big enough for my own lunch if I used all of the compartments.

Overall, I love it and will happily buy more if I get tired of washing the one I have every night.
