NurturePure Glass Baby Bottle (3 Pack)

NurturePure Glass Baby BottleI like the idea that it is a glass bottle. But the problem with this brand the measurement is quite off. I wonder why my baby was constipated, so i checked the measurement. I found out it's 1/2 oz off. And it does leak from the top and from the edges of the nipple. I don't understand the purpose of the hole on the top of the bottle cap it causes leak. I need to remove the cover of the hole (cap) every time i prepare formula to make sure the nipple is in the right position then put it back, this is just a pain. I won't recommend this product.

I am really shocked that Nurture Pure aren't more popular given how safe and relatively affordable they are!

I read a study several months ago where advertised "non-toxic" BPA free bottles leaked chemicals they weren't supposed to leak. The authors of the study found several brands that didn't. I was relieved to read that Nurture Pure was one of them that didn't! These bottles are non-toxic and free of Bisphenol A, pthalates and other plastics such as Polycarbonate and PVC. The nipples are silicone, latex-free, allergen-free and free of nitrosamines. There are small vent slits around the bottom of the nipple that can leak if your baby does not have the proper latch. My daughter never had this problem and they have worked well for her, but I agree with the reviewer that stated Dr. Brown's nipples are a good alternative. We have been occasionally using Dr. Brown's y-cut cereal nipples and they work fine.

To keep the bottles from cracking, do not overheat. A bottle warmer we used cracked several of our bottles, but this model also melted some plastic ones as well! We simply boil water, turn off the burner, and place the bottles in the pot to warm.

If the suction of the nipple comes lose--usually when the formula is very hot, we unscrew the lid, push the nipple up, and the problem is fixed. This has only happened a few times.

My husband and I bought a 3-pack of 8ounce bottles from Big Lots because we wanted a safer bottle (as compared to plastic). The ones we bought did not come with nipples. First problem: Any nipple we used with the bottle would come through crooked after the ring was tightened, which would sometimes cause leaks. THEN, after placing one in our bottle warmer, the bottom BROKE OFF. The odd thing was that the edges weren't sharp as all, so it was like it was secured in some way and just came off. I thought maybe it was because it had be used in the warmer though we had no problems with them being heated in the microwave so far. Today, a second one broke the same way while my mother-in-law was tapping a formula container on the top to empty it. We're lucky it broke before it was given to the baby!

I DO NOT recommend these bottles AT ALL!

These bottles are really great. They are safe & strong. My only complaint is that the nipples have "vents", which leak every time my baby takes a drink. I purchased some nipples made by Dr. Brown's, and that solved the problem. These bottles are priced right, even considering the fact that you will probably have to replace the nipples. I would still recommend these bottles.
