Tommee Tippee Explora Section Plate 2 Pack

We have several of these plates, and they are pretty much the only plates we use. We have them in green, orange, and blue Tommee Tippee BPA Free Section Plates 2 Pack (BLUE). I saw the 3 star review and thought I'd better chime in. The reviewer said they purchased them for a 7 month old (that they are still spoon feeding) and they were bigger than expected that doesn't warrant a 3 star review. The product description recommends 9m+ and says it has deeper sections & angled feature for easy (self) feeding. We started using them when our son was beginning to feed himself, and they work especially well with the silicone easi-mat (couldn't find them on Amazon). The mat is made of silicone; the smooth side sticks to the table or high chair tray very well, and the top side has a suction cup that will attached to the bottom of these plates, or the bowls Tommee Tippee 4-Pack Explora Weaning Bowls Boy or Tommee Tippee Explora Weaning Bowls 2-pack with Lid & Weaning Spoon Orange. The suction cup is pretty strong. Our son was probably about 18 months old before he could pull it up. Our son is now 28 months old, and these are still the plates and bowls we use almost exclusively. If you are looking for something that works well for spoon feeding, especially if you don't use a full jar of baby food at a feeding, the Tommee Tippee food pots work well. I didn't find them on Amazon either, but Babies 'R Us carries a wide selection of Tommee Tippee products both online and in stores.

and they haven't melted in the microwave so far, nor the dishwasher either, but they're not very deep either. I was hoping that middle section would be more bowl-like. My daughter thinks anything in a bowl is for her, which was a problem I needed to cure fast since I don't want her demanding to eat whatever we have, so I got recommendations and chose these bowls. However they're pretty awkward when it comes to mixing up oatmeal in them, and I'm guessing soup is going to irritate me such that I'll have to ALSO buy a set of bowls, but I like the sections and the not-melting-in-the-microwave part.

I love these plates! I already bought two for my one year old daughter to try out and I just purchased two more to keep at her grandparents house because they love them too. They are deep enough to hold foods with any kind of liquid consistency without mixing with other foods on the plate. My daughter loves having different sections with different snacks in them! I would buy these again and again.

I have always used Tommee Tippee products. Whenever my daughter started a new stage, I started by seeing what Tommee Tippe had first and then went from there. For the most part, Tommee Tippee's products are superior. These plates are no exception. They are divided and can go in the diswasher, microwave and freezer. They are perfect with the suction mat. Which is nice because when you buy plates that each have suction devices, it makes the plates more expensive. This way, you get the suction for all plates (and bowls) without having to spend a fortune. As I said, it would be nice if the plates has lids, like the bowls do since my daughter's appetite seems to change day to day sometimes and there are times when she barely eats anything. But this isnt a deal-breaker since most divided plates don't have this.
