Boon Pulp Silicone Feeder

The boon pulp is great I used other similar products made of mesh but they were to hard to open and by the time you had them opened your baby didn't want them and they were really hard to clean and after a while they started to smell. But over al they were a good idea just bad execution of the product. Boon's pulp is great, my daughter and I love it!

I wanted to love this, but I've only used it a handful of times. Although I've read the silicone feeders are so much easier to clean than the mesh ones, I have a hard time cleaning this one. Some foods clean easier than others, but almost every time I take it out of the dish washer I still have to hand wash it including using a tiny brush to get the food out of the holes. I know its not my dishwasher b/c it does a great job with everything else. Needless to say, it sits in a drawer mostly. I also feel like the mouth piece is a little big for my daughters mouth even at 8 months.

I LOVE Boon and I have a lot of their products and am very happy with them, BUT NOT THIS ONE! The first time we used it, my 1 year old was able to open it in less than 2 minutes. I tried again and she did it again. She almost chocked by getting a hold of the ice I had put in it!! This is not a safe product.

Came across this and several other silicone feeders when looking for a solution to the mesh food feeders widely available (Munchkin 2 Pack Fresh Food Feeder, Colors May Vary), which to me anyway, were impossible to clean and which I considered disposable. I really do like the Boon silicone feeder, the ergonomic handle is easy for my baby to grasp, and the holes are big enough that whatever you put in there doesn't actually have to be pureed. I usually put a strawberry or banana ("slippery" foods that my 11 month old can't pick up), and he will chew on it for a few hours.

I like the rounder shape better than the other feeders, particularly the Kids me feeder, which is much longer and thinner.

Clean up is easy, just rinse and dry, and the snap on/off silicone part is fantastic.

Would buy again.

This hardly holds a tiny slice or piece of food and just really isn't that great of an item. Though not as easy to clean the mesh feeders are way better.
