Fisher-Price Friendly First's Classic Carousel

This item is very very cute as you have come to expect from Fisher-Price. The plastic globe surrounding the animals inside is shiny, smooth, and sturdy. The critters inside have appealing expressions as does the little turtle who forms the knob on top.

My 8-month old has had this toy since he was about 3 months, and while it always catches his eye and attracts him, he does wind up losing interest rather quickly. He seems to understand that he is supposed to push down on the turtle/plunger mechanism, but it is SO hard to do! It's hard even for me. The resistance is much too much. And even with help to activate the spinning carousel inside, the bayb doesn't get to see it spin very freely or very long. It's like the whole mechanism is gummed up with something. There are lots better ways to spend your money, I'm afraid.

I was disappointed with this toy. Although it is really cute to look at the carousel doesn't spin that great. It's kind of hard to push and then barely makes a full turn around once. I would recommend shopping around for another toy of this type.

I bought this for my 7 month old son for Christmas and it keeps his interest. The little characters on it and in it are absolutely adorable and it is a nice quiet toy for him to play with. He isn't quite able to play with it just yet, but I'm sure in the next month or so he will be loving it.
