Tommee Tippee Travel Bottle and Food Warmer

Tommee Tippee Travel Bottle and Food WarmerAfter trying to find a way to heat a bottle up on the road or in a store with a hungry, frantic, crying baby a few times; I started looking for portable warmers. I searched high and low, but every product I looked at had horribly mixed reviewswhich usually doesn't phase me too much, but in the case of the warmers, I didn't want to take the chance. I am so glad that I decided to buy this warmer/ thermos. It works for bottles and later for heating up solids. I put hot water from my Keurig in it before I leave the house and then if I need to make a bottle, I fill half or 2/3 with the hot water and the rest with water from my water bottle. It comes out perfect every time! The water stays hot in the thermos for hours, and it is pretty much idiot proof, portable, and leak proof. Plus, I can make a bottle as soon as I need itunlike the warmers that are plugged in or operate with the heat packs. Another option is filling the white cover up with the hot water and submerging the bottle in itand letting it sit in a hot water bath to heat up. Although, I haven't tried that option yet. It is even handy to have next to my bed, so I can mix warm bottles up during the night, so one of us isn't constantly running to the warmer in the kitchen. i think this is an excellent option for anyone looking for a portable warmerit is easy, convenient, and much more reliable than the alternatives on the market. Give it a try!!!

This was one of the most helpful baby products I have purchased. I have twins and they eat every 3.5 hours, so if I want to take them anywhere I have to plan to feed them while I am out. I have tried taking preportioned formula and hot water in a thermos, and then mixing them on the go, but this creates a huge mess and is very time consuming, not to mention that I am trying to get the bottles ready while tending to two hungry, fussy babies. This travel warmer allows me to bring the bottles already prepared (of course they do need to be put in some sort of cooler), and then simply put the bottle in the "cup" part and pour the hot water over it. Presto in less than 3 minutes I have a warmed bottle (and I usually put an ice pack in the cooler with my bottles, so that tells you how fast it warms). For the people who said the water burned their child, I'm sorry but I think you have to be more precautious as a parent. Every time I fill these I turn them upside down to make sure they are not leaking. Then when I am preparing the bottles, I put the thermos and "cup" on a hard surface so there is no risk of anything tipping, and I keep the babies in their carseats in the stroller. Just like you wouldn't bring a baby near the stove when water is boiling, you shouldn't have the baby anywhere near water this warm. I just really can't say enough about how much easier this has made it for me to get out of the house with my two little ones.

I found out early on that my daughter was super-picky about the temperature of her bottles--even room temperature was sometimes too cold for her--so I began searching for a travel warmer that would be quick, easy, and reliable regardless of where we were. I kept hearing from friends that the plug-in style to use in cars took forever and really didn't heat well at all, so when I came across this one at a local store, I bought it immediately.

Hot water in a cup was the same way the nurses heated my daughter's bottles during her short stay in the NICU, so I figured this would be an affective method for us when we were on the go as well. I love this thermos, because we fill it up with super-hot water before leaving the house, and it stays that way for hours. When I need to heat a bottle, I just unscrew the cup, push the button to open the seal on the thermos, and pour hot water over the bottle in the cup--I have a bottle heated and ready to go in just a couple of minutes!

I realize that it's just a thermos with a cup attached, but this is a really smart design. After I'm done heating the bottle, I just pour the hot water back into the thermos, and most of the time it's still hot enough to use again. Also, because the the cup screws onto the thermos, there isn't ever any water in my bag when I'm done using it--so no mess when I get home (in my bag anyway...the baby is typically a different story!)

Every once in a while, one finds a baby-need solution that makes life so much easier, you wish you'd had it the whole time (and in our case, for your last kid). This is one of those times.

The prospect of going out with our two little ones always had this little road bump of stress on the horizon: When its time to give the little one the bottle while we're at the zoo, on a hike, at the botanical gardens...how are we gonna heat that sucker up? Is there a cafe that will give us a hot cup of water? Is there warm water in the bathroom? Kid you not, at the LA Zoo, I actually had to use one of those bathroom hand-dryers to warm up a bottle of breast milk...Boo!

With this warmer, we won't have that issue again. It's a simple solution. Basically, a hot water thermos and a large, insular water container that nest together when not in use. No electricity needed. Fill it up on your way out with boiling water, and many hours later you'll have plenty of hot water to warm your bottle with. Because we stock it with very hot water, it literally only takes a few minutes to heat up a chilled bottle of breast milk.

The only reason we don't give it 5 stars is because of it's bulk, and because it requires extreme care to be used safely. I'll be honest here and "out" myself for stupidity: I once tried to pour the hot water into the container while it was clenched between my knees and proceeded to burn my thigh. Now this is more of a common sense problem on my part than a design flaw, but I share it as a reminder that hot liquids and parenting need to be handled with forethought and care.

Pros:

Works; Works Quickly

Easy to Use

Large Enough to Fit Any Bottle or Food Container

Cons:

Large

Heavy

Requires Extreme Care To Use: Because it works with hot water, you can scald yourself or your baby if you are not careful. Whatever you do, do NOT pour the water or let the bottle sit and warm up anywhere within reach or spilling distance of your precious one!

This is essentially a thermos and a container that you can pour the hot water you put in thermos in to place a bottle in for warming. The water stays hot pretty much all day in the thermos. No complaints whatsoever. Works much better than the sleeves that you push the button and the gel heats up around the bottle.
