Boon Groovy Interlocking Plate and Bowl Set

I was so excited to get this when I saw it online; it seemed theoretically perfect plate and bowl for different foods with little side dished for whatever. It is very small and quite shallow and the small side bowls are very very small and it seemed a bit cheap looking to me. Cute concept but I'm a bit disappointed with the small size and cheap plastic.

I recently bought 2 of these plates for my 4 yr old and 1 yr old and we LOVE them!! They are so much nicer then the cheap "box mart" sold toddler plates with divider sections. It's perfect sizing for small tummies as well. And the little dishes that attach to the side are great for dressings and such for dipping which ever small child i know loves to do! I willb e buying more of these, without a doubt!!

The concept is great and has that great boon styling. Unfortunately the the plate can easily be swiped/upturned/thrown/etc by the child since it does not have anything to hold it place. The side orange "bowls" really are small and we ended up using it as a sauce bowl than anything else. They're also very easily to misplace since they are so small.

We bought this back when our son was 7 months old we're finally using it more frequently now that he has better control over his arms (20 months old). But then again, now he can just about use any regular plate...

We got this to match our baby's Boon Squirt spoon and we're not disappointed. Conveniently separates each food item on the plate. We only have one, I wish I had at least 2! :-)

I purchased this bowl for my one year old for the dipping bowls. He loves to dip his veggies, french toast strips, apples, you name it. We also liked how we could give little treats in the bowls and they provided for the right size for a little reward. We purchased another bowl when our 2nd guy came along, he's 14 months now and he loves the dippers too. The rubberized bottom helps the plate stay in place although they can certainly flip it over if they want to. But it helps them to feed themselves. I noticed too that we were having struggles at the table with finishing meals and these little plates offer us a way to gauge decent portion sizes so it's possible for the kids to be successful in "cleaning their plates" and we feel that they got enough in their tummies. They can always ask for more. These are great plates and we give them as gifts for all the baby showers we go to!
