Britax B-Agile Stroller Child Tray

Britax B-Agile Stroller Child TrayI'll begin with my two minor issues. One, the cup holder is in no way deep enough. With my son's sippy cup, a sharp turn will cause it to capsize. Or a kick to the tray with his foot.

Secondly, overall the space on the tray is poorly organized. With the cup holder in the middle and very shallow edges all around, snacks I'm sure will easily fall from this tray. I wish there was a small bowl to place snacks in, even something to cover the snacks and keep them from going stale.

Over all, it's better than using a non-Britax made "this may fit but it'll probably fall off" tray for the stroller.

My two year old also already smoked his lip on this tray. Ouch. It's a hard plastic with no fabric on it, as you can see. I guess he learned his "don't lean forward" lesson. No fabric is great for bar-chewers... but it's not friendly impact wise.

The tray also gets in the way while folding the stroller. You either need to reach under it to fold the B-Agile or flip it up and over the side of the stroller. Not a major inconvenience, but still an inconvenience.

All that being said, I do like that the tray flips up with the little levers under each side of the tray. Meaning all I need to do is flip it out of the way to allow my son access to his stroller.

So far this tray is a love-hate relationship. Now all I'm going to be doing is waiting to see if it snaps due to being able to rotate around.

I purchased this to use with my B-Agile stroller. The pretty sturdy, it was easy to attach. I love how it easily detaches and swivels for easy in/out without having to completely remove the tray. My only complaint is the cup holder is not deep enough, one bump and baby's bottle or cup goes flying. However, this was an easy fix for me, I bought a sippigrip bottle strap so if the bottle falls out at least it'll never touch the ground.

My quick points on this are:

The tray seems overpriced to me.

The tray is fairly small compared to some others.

The cup holder can not adjust to fit any other size than what it is. This rules out a lot of cups.

My 14 month old cannot reach the tray unless he is sitting straight up and the straps are incredibly loose. When the straps fit him snugly, they prevent him from leaning forward far enough to reach the tray. It comes out pretty far, so I have no use for this right now since my son can't really reach it.

Installation was very easy, it comes on and off quickly.

The stroller can still open and close with it attached, but once the stroller is closed this adds a lot of extra height to the stroller which may be bad if you have a small trunk.

So, the britax strollers don't come with trays for the little ones to put their snacks and sippy cups. I bought this tray and I was very disappointed when I finally attached it to our stroller. It's easily attached to the stroller, just a couple of clicks, but it's doesn't serve it's purpose. The tray clicks in to where you would normally click your infant seat in, but the way the tray is shaped it sits SOO far from the stroller that your kid can't even reach it. I wanted a tray so that my daughter could reach her snacks and cup ON HER OWN when in the stroller. Even in the fully upright position (no reclining) she can't reach it...and my daughter is in the 100th percentile so I imagine there's no other kids her age that can reach their things as well. Also, the cup holder is NOT deep enough to keep a sippy cup (or any cup) in place when maneuvering around the mall or wherever you take your stroller. A tiny bump and it'll go flying or tip over. I just don't see the point of making a tray for a stroller that the child is not able to get to and that doesn't hold their things put. My daughter can't even hold on to it likes she likes to do in her other stroller (with built in tray). When you collapse the B-agile with the tray attached it makes the stroller a lot bulkier, and you run the risk of breaking the tray off while stowing it if you're not careful because it juts out so far. I'd recommend you ditch the Britax tray and just buy an attachable cup/snack holder from another brand. BabiesRus sells several attachable cup holder-like things that work great. I also bought the Diono Buggy Buddy Organizer so I can store my cups/key/phone since the B-agile doesn't have a place for those things as well. Hold the kid's cup too! And it blends in well with the stroller (I have the black B-agile). Don't get me wrong, I love the stroller itself, but this silly tray is a waste of money!

This child tray was the only available option to go with the B-Agile stroller, so I didn't have much of a choice. The tray is sturdy, easy to put & detach, however the cupholder is not deep enough to hold kid's sippper, forget about water bottles/cans. I didn't like it.

BabyHugo Baby Oil - Vanilla & Chamomile - 4 oz - Oil

BabyHugo Baby Oil - Vanilla & Chamomile - 4 oz - OilWe've been taking a baby massage class that has been really informative and helpful. In the class the instructor presented a handful of different oils and recommend they all be some sort of natural organic baby oil. She said even worst case you could use some cooking oils.

We use Burt's Bees for all of the bath products, creams, powers, etc. The smell of the Burt's Bees products is OK, but its not my favorite. Usually it smells better after the bath is done and on her than when I am applying it to her during a bath. So we first picked up the Burt's Bees oil Burt's Bees Lemon & Vitamin E Bath & Body Oil, 4-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2), but once again I wasn't fond of the smell. So we decided to go back up and try another one.

When I went back up I turned to BabyHugo because I really liked the smell. I brought it back to our baby and we tried it, we fell in love pretty quickly. The oil absorbed easily into our daughters skin and wasn't greasy. She smelled really great after we left class, just wanted to keep snuggling with her.

I highly recommend the product for its natural ingredients and great smell. Even if you choose not to go with BabyHugo please remember to go with something natural since it does get absorbed into there skin and into there system.

So glad to find this here. We received a bottle of this as a present and have loved it since. It smells heavenly. Light and pleasant and not overly perfumey perfect for a baby. It also absorbs well into the skin and our sensitive-skin having baby had no reactions to it whatsoever. We massage with it almost every night. LOVE THIS! I recommend highly.

Goodbyn Arctic Zone for Goodbyn Bag

Goodbyn Arctic Zone for Goodbyn Bag, Green MonsterWe love our GoodByn. It's colorful and easy to clean and my kids really dig it. But this lunch bag would be better purchased from GoodByn directly. This vendor is charging more than double for the item.

Purchased this lunchbox to go with the goodbyn lunch containers they fit perfectly with plenty of room for a cold pack, juice box or bottle of water. It's also super cute!

I got this but am yet to use it a single time. Initially it seemed very hard to get the lunch box in there and out again so I was worried that my 5yo would struggle unnecessarily and decided not to use it. As the lunch box is never left in hot conditions much and I avoid packing things that might spoil if he left them till the end of the day it looks like it will never get much use if any with us. Perhaps if we were going to the beach. The color and design is very vivid and loud not as nice as the lunch box itself. So basically I'd hold off on getting one immediately unless you know that your lunch box will need chilling.

Its nice and good size for spending a whole day out side home, it's big than the picture, really it's nice, maybe the zipper make it tight when u get and put the lunch boxes but not bad , in general it's really nice :)

The lunchbox doesn't even fit in here. My 6 year old would spend her whole lunch hour trying to get it out and back in when she was done. I had to cut off the top part with the zipper, otherwise it wouldn't even fit in at all. Boo.

Skip Hop Central Park Blanket

Skip Hop Central Park Outdoor Blanket, Metro StripeLet me start by saying I'm not normally a comparison shopper. This situation just presented itself to me in a strange internet-glitch type way. When I do make a purchase, I do like to mildly compare before a purchase. So when I was shopping for an outdoor blanket, after looking through various outdoor blankets, I was convinced that the Skip Hop blanket was the one for me. However, according to Amazon, it would take several months for me to receive it because they were backordered. I ended up making an order with Babies R Us.....which was later backordered. It was close to soccer season and I needed one right away so I ordered the JJ Cole blanket because it could be delivered within a week. I've been using the JJ Cole blanket for over a month now and I couldn't be happier with it. It's very easy to roll out and when it's time to go, roll back up. The quality is excellent. Well, Monday afternoon, the Skip Hop outdoor blanket showed up on my doorstep and I took it to soccer practice to try it out. Not too impressed. The cooler bag that goes with it is teeny-tiny and you can't fit much in it. The zipper makes it more difficult to lay out and fold back up and if you have a baby in your arms, it makes it that much more difficult. The JJ Cole blanket is cheaper in price and better in quality and it's much easier to use. I highly recommend it and I get tons of compliments on it.

The blanket component of this product is excellent. The printed material is silky smooth, almost satin-like. The underside of the blanket is a tougher polyester canvas. The blanket isn't super padded, so it is more appropriate for grassy lawns or beach sand than granite. It is easy (for the most part) to fold back up into the carrying sack as well. You can carry it by hand, shoulder style, messenger style or backpack style basically, whatever way is most comfortable. Backpack style is best if you are under 5'9 (straps are a wee bit short for backpack style if you are tall), but messenger style works even with my 6'2 husband. It is highly water resistant. It is convenient for picnics, soccer games, or any activity you might spend on a lawn. Also, when folded, you can use it as a seat pad at sporting events. The cooler component of the bag seems to be something of an afterthought. It does not expand much, so you can pretty much fit only a few sippies and maybe a sandwich or two (it is not too padded, so be sure to place squishables in a plastic or metal container). There are no interior or exterior pockets on the cooler either a pocket for ice might have been nice. When objects are placed in bag, bag takes on a lumpy appearance (again, it just isn't big enough). The front and back have minimal insulation, and the sides are not insulated insulated at all. It will keep things cool for only about 1-2 hours. Really, if the cooler bag was just a bit deeper/wider and had better insulation (or an ice pocket), it might be more useable. It is probably best as a bag to store a few diapers/wipes, a coloring book, wallet and keys instead. It would also be good storage for sunscreen and maybe a few sippies full of water if you are planning a trip to the beach. But for perishables, I'd recommend a separate cooler. I do appreciate that it is PVC and BPA-free.

This is the second easy-to-clean, waterproof blanket I tried (the J J Cole blanket was very nice, but as other reviewers commented, it smelled like petroleum/oil products, even after airing out and two washings, so I returned it for this one). This one is also BPA free. It does what it says--it's lightweight, easy to carry, and wipes up very easily. It's a little bit on the small side, but fits two adults and two babies very easily. And, because it's quilted and of stiffer material than regular cotton or wool blankets, it lies flatter on grass or uneven surfaces than regular blankets and is harder for babies to pick up with their fists and put in their mouths. I'd buy one again.

Previously, this blanket had received great reviews. Therefore I purchased it with little hesitation. I can only speculate that the company has changed their manufacturer because I am deeply disappointed.

This is for a blanket purchased in August 2011. Now, after barely 5 times of use, the blanket cover material already starts to fall apart. I have not abused the material. I have used it in the park (ironically, Central Park), without shoes, in dry weather, just sitting there with my baby, with the black side down always. Oh, and it has not yet been in the washer, either. I have uploaded photos of the blanket so that you can judge for yourself. You can see the white filling come through. The cover material is disintegrating in several places, not just along the seams.

To add insult to injury, yesterday (my 6th time of use) one of the strap holders ripped. Was I loading this bag with unreasonable weight? I packed a small bottle of water (17 fl oz, Poland spring) and 3 oz of baby milk along with a small ice pack (the Medela one) into the front pocket of the bag.

Not worth the price.

UPDATE: I have since contacted the manufacturer to alert them of the problem and have requested an exchange. SkipHop has sent me a new blanket. I am changing my review from 1 to 3 stars because of outstanding customer service.

Another comparison between this and JJ Cole's blanket: The folding/ carrying design here is superior, no question. SkipHop's blanket folds up neat and compact, can be carried multiple ways, and has the great zip-off cooler bag (which I thought was a great size; it will fit three 16-oz water bottles). I loved that you could leave your blanket laid out and take the little bag for your keys and water, no other bag needed!). The strap is long enough but very rough. The blanket is vibrantly colored and it looks great on the little bag, but red is the dominant color and it was way too loud and busy for a whole blanket; also, the fabric is plastic-y and not very soft. The JJ Cole blanket is much silkier. Overall, I really wanted to love this blanket, but sent it back and kept the JJ Cole (which by the way, has a hidden interior pocket that it seems no one has noticed).

Klean Kanteen 12 oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Sport Cap 2.0 - ALL COLORS

Klean Kanteen 12 oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Sport Cap 2.0 - Tree Barkbought the stainless colored version so i didn't have to deal with chipping paint. so far so good. it does leak, as it states, so it is a bit annoying that way. it does whistle sometimes, but my child thinks it's funny when it happens, and it's not loud. while compact, i feel the hook takes up space, and therefore it's not as compact as i like. the cover for the spout is uselessit doesn't stay on. it's not double insulated so it can sweat a little bit. overall, i knew what i was buying, and it's still the best one that i've found for my needs, and i would buy it again. if the company can figure out how not to make it leak, that would improve it greatly.

While this appears sturdy as I would expect from Kleen Kanteen, there are some issues. First, the finish is chipping off all over the exterior. This has been used for less than a year, and spends most of it's time in a lunch box with plastic dishes or on a counter top. It is never hauled around outside. This doesn't bother with functionality, but still disappointing.

The other thing we've found that it leaks if my little guy lays his lunch box on its side. It is closed securely at the spout, but drips out of there.

The Klean Kanteen strainless water bottle with sports cap is ideal for children who have moved past "sippies" and are ready for a grown-up water bottle.

Bottle holds 12 ounces, which is a wonderful size for older toddlers and young children. It is made of super high quality stainless steel and is BPA free. Klean Kanteen uses NO coatings or chemicals to coat the bottle-so water tastes like water, not plastic! The size is perfect for kiddo hands, and neck is more narrow to allow little ones to easily tote along the bottle.

Best of all, the bottle works with all the different caps that Klean Kanteen makes. So you can use sippie tops, sports caps, or plain tops depending on your preferences.

Well made and very durable.

I like the idea of a reusable water bottle and love not having to recycle all those plastic ones, but I stopped reading at "dishwasher safe" and didn't read the part about "hand washing highly recommended" for my formerly painted bottle. Put this in your dishwasher at your own peril, I spent a couple of hours cleaning all the little flakes of "indicator red" paint off my other dishes and out of my dishwasher.

Itzy Ritzy Snack Happens Reusable Snack Bag

Itzy Ritzy Snack Happens Reusable Snack Bag, Rock StarI got 4 of these bags and am very happy. I specifically got these bags because they have a zipper, I'm not a fan of velcro. I don't have to worry about anything falling out when I toss these around. My toddler can get into these quite easily which makes us both happy. We have put quite a few things into these. One bag is devoted to trail mix and it lives in my purse. Another is for fresh apples (they leave a permanent yellowish stain on the liner). Cucumbers did OK and didn't leak (wow) but I prefer a hard container for juicy fruits and veggies. Pretzels stay fresh for the day but get a bit stale if left in the bag for a few days. Sandwiches do great and don't dry out.

Before the first use I cold washed in a lingerie bag on delicate and air dried. Mostly I just flip the liner inside out and wash it with my hand-washable dishes (I leave the outside cloth dry and the liner dries quite quickly). They clean up quick and easy.

I contacted the company to inquire about the material used. They were very friendly, informative and actually conducted their own testing with an outside lab. The lining is BPA, PVC, and phthalate free. Nice to know that they didn't take the word of the fabric manufacturer and did their own testing.

Since purchasing these lunch bags I have gotten one of their larger bags also. We use it for our wet swimsuits and it works wonderfully for keeping the wetness contained. Everything else in the gym bag stays dry.

All-in-all they are a bit expensive but I have gotten much more use out of them than I expected. I would certainly recommend them.

These sounded great. I was excited when they arrived. But they are not perfect. The zipper is a great idea, but the nature of sewing the zipper leaves nooks at the ends where crumbs are hard to get out. I searched high and low about the material used for the waterproof interior and could not find anything describing the material. All I could find is what the material does not contain: BPA, phalate, lead, all those things that get parents running screaming, but there was nothing on what the material does contain. So I finally contacted the company. I got vague roundabout answers, and only got a definitive answer when I asked point blank if the material had polyutherane. Yes, it has polyutherane. I thought polyutherane was toxic and releases VOC's that are harmful to children. Either I am wrong, or it explains why they would not say what the material is. I wonder what other substances the lining contains that I don't know to ask about since the company isn't forthcoming about the make up of the lining. But I still gave it 3 stars because I like the cotton exterior and fabric designs I got. The baggies are easy to use and useful though I wonder if I should continue to use for food.

I was really surprised when I received these bags! I was expecting a thinner material and wasn't expecting it to be as big (despite the measurements in the description), but these are made of a great quality fabric and zipper and are easily large enough for a sandwich and then some! I really like the zipper versus the bags with velcro closures so the crumbs stay in the bag. I ordered the Jungle Blue print and LOVE it! Exactly as pictured. Extremely happy with my purchase would definitely buy these again!

I bought these, the ReUsies, and the ReSnackit bags. Of the three, I definitely like the Itzy Ritzy ones best, even though I like the designs of the other two better. (I bought the Social Circle Blue and the LiquoriceSwirl in the Itzy Ritzy.) I was surprised that all three of the brands are pretty well constructed and made with quality material. The biggest advantage to the Itzy Ritzo ones in my opinion is the zipper the other two use velcro. After experimenting, I've found that the Itzy Ritzy keeps the food better protected than the velcro. It also keeps food particularly sandwiches just a little bit fresher. (Keep realistic expectations. It won't last as long as a zip lock plastic bag, but it will certainly keep it for the day.) It also keeps smaller food, like grapes and goldfish crackers, in without any fear of making a mess or crumbs falling out, which I certainly appreciate. It's super convenient that they are washable, and they hold up well. For those concerned, these are BPA free. I only bought two of these and plan to buy more. So far I've only used them for food, but I plan to buy more to toss in the diaper bag. I think because of the material inside, it can be used for almost anything. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.

I'm going to buck the trend here.

These bags are very cute and stylish. They are effective if you want to reduce your usage of plastic baggies. I like how they are zipper and not velcro. They do a good job, for the most part, of containing foods, although, if you're trying to store something juicy (like cut up oranges), you might be pushing your luck as the moisture will gradually seep through the seams and make the fabric outer cover damp.

If the only things you're going to use this for are dry snacks like crackers or cereal, you're probably fine just wiping the interior with a damp cloth after each use. And then once a week throwing it in the laundry for "deep cleaning".

But if you are using it for anything that is going to leave any residue (juicy fruit, oily chips, PBJ sandwiches, you get the idea here) these are really not practical. Turning inside out and wiping the interior doesn't get it clean enough for me. You can do a load of laundry (but most people don't do laundry every day) or hand wash and submerge it in soapy water, but the fabric outer takes forever to dry. So you really end up having to buy a 2 day supply of these to rotate through if you want to use them everyday. And they are relatively expensive, so buying several might be cost-prohibitive for some.

Also, the outer fabric, while cute is... well... fabric. So it can stain. Making your cute bag not-so-cute anymore. Also, it fades and shrinks a little, so the bag doesn't lay nicely after a while. Not huge deals, but worth mentioning. Your kids probably won't care.

If your looking to buy this for your kids, I would instead go with the Bumkins Reusable Sandwich and Snack Bag, Yellow, Large or Bumkins 2 Count Reusable Snack Bags, Blue/Green, Small. They are about half the price of the Itzy and for anyone who has used the amazing Bumkins Bibs, these are the same material. They are a breeze to wash, dry super fast and I've never had it hold a stain.

The prints are loud and garrish, but my kid likes it fine. Much more practical for busy moms (and dads!).

I have both the Snack Happened and the Bumkins bags, and I reach for the Bumkins every time.
