Momo Baby Travel Bowl and Spoon Set, Blue

I would have been happy with this product but the lid does not stay on! It's a shame as the product is nicely made.

We like these bowls, I have 2, and used them extensively on a trip with our then 7 month old daughter. I would mix up her oatmeal with fruit upstairs in the hotel room, and microwave it, and then we would all go down to breakfast and i could feed her her oatmeal while we ate, which we loved. What we don't like about these, if you put them into say a diaper bag, where they can get turned over, they will mix together, so if you have 2 separate things you don't want mixed, hold the bowl the whole time your transporting it. We wish the spoon was a little narrower, it was a bit too wide for our daughter to really get in her mouth, its more of a toddler sized spoon. Finally our largest annoyance, since we have 2, they tend to get stacked one on top of the other in the cabinet, only they don't stack well at all, and at least once or twice a week the come flying out of the cabinet, so don't plan on stacking them in a cabinet full of baby stuff. All in all, we liked them for traveling, and washed them every morning after breakfast and laid them out to dry, and made breakfast time much easier, but that was just carrying it downstairs.

I like the idea that there are two compartments, and the spoon is attached but not exposed. I used the set on a long car trip, and it was handy. I could keep cereal on one side and a fruit/vegetable on the other. What I didn't like was that I couldn't choose the color from this website. I preferred pink but the blue/teal color is what arrived. I didn't feel like paying more money in shipping to exchange the item.

Calming Shampoo/Body Wash from California Baby

I have been using this since my son was born. Have had no problems so far and it is gentle enough to use for baby's sensitive skin.

I ordered this because we love California Baby and we love the "Calming" shampoo and body wash the most. I would give the product 5 stars, normally. BUT, I found a ***19oz*** bottle at Target for only $19.19 (including tax)! I paid nearly $4.50 MORE for a bottle with 1.5 ounces LESS! I have to suck up this error because Amazon would charge me to return it, and it's obviously not worth the $5 shipping to get my money back.

Freshfoods Freezer Tray

I went through a few freezer trays until I chanced upon these via the Amazon UK website. I have to admit that I'm a big fan of Annabel Karmel recipes, so the branding had something to do with my looking at this in the first place.

However, when I received these trays and started using them, I was delighted with the results.

Pluses:

Large cube size makes it suitable for 2nd/3rd stage weaning. I also foresee this being useful even after the baby hits toddlerhood, as I'll still be able to use this for stocks and fruit.

BPA free etc. etc.

Silicon base can be twisted/pushed without cracking, this makes it fairly easy to get the food out.

Suitable for fine purees and chunkier foods.

Comes with a lid and is stackable. The lid is not airtight though, so I would recommend removing frozen food from the tray and transferring into a ziplock or other airtight container rather than keeping foods frozen in these trays.

Minuses:

Limited portions since each tray only allows you to make 9 cubes. I make food in bulk and find that I need 3 or 4 of these trays just so that I can freeze up one batch.

Each portion is rather large (if you fill the tray to the brim), which may make it less suitable for younger kids.

The silicon retains some food smells. It's not bad if the foods are steamed, but if you use these for freezing any foods cooked with oil/stock, it tends to retain a bit of the food smell and a bit of oiliness. I found that this can be cleaned, but the cleaning takes work.

It sometimes takes a bit of effort to remove cubes from the tray. This happens especially when I fill the cubes fully. I end up having to run the tray under water for a few seconds to loosen the cubes.

Overall I find this to be a good product, and would recommend it to those who cook in bulk for their kids.

I have several contraptions for making and freezing baby food, but I like these trays best! They are compact, allow you to freeze small (1oz) or larger portions, and are SO EASY to use. They are dishwasher safe (easy to clean) and the food cubes pop right out because the trays are silicone (anyone who is spending 5-10 minutes getting ALL of the food cubes out...let alone one...needs to stop making baby food and get some z's). :)

One shortfall I wouldn't leave the food in these trays long term (just overnight to freeze) because the lids don't seal. I don't see any way around that, since the trays themselves are made of flexible silicone.

This freezing tray is awesome! I use it with my FreshFoods baby food maker and one full prepared mixture will fill this tray almost perfectly. (2 pears/2apples/2avacado etc) Each little cube is about 2oz which is great for just starting my 6 month baby on solids as thats just about what he'll eat in a sitting. I'd like to add that this tray is more for just freezing the food and then you need to transfer it to a freezer bag once frozen because the lid it comes with is just for stacking purposes and does not create an airtight seal. So that being said you shouldn't worry about the cubes being small as you can just unfreeze multiple cubes as your baby needs more food. I find the cubes REALLY easy to pop out for most foods but when I made avacado I had to get my husband to pop them out because it was just way too hard for me. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would definately recommend this to a friend. I will probably end up buying another one down the road as well so I can freeze multiple meals at once.

I use this tray to freeze and store puree for my baby. She's still small so I pour one oz of puree into each cube. Even they are half filled it's still difficult to pop them out. I twisted the tray and I ran the tray in water which helped a bit only. I had to turn it upside down abd keep pushing the bottom of the tray. I just ordered a beaba food tray hope it makes my life easier. What I expect from baby food tray are 1) easy to pop frozen food out and 2) bpa free. I do not recommend this product.

I make baby food purees for my son and had been using the Bebea brand freezer tray--which I loved! I decided I needed a second tray so I could save some time and make two types of food for the week at once. I decided to give this one a try because of its positive reviews and the better price, but every time I use this tray I wish I'd spent the additional 6 bucks and purchased another Bebea tray.

I've used this tray 5 6 times now, each time trying something a little different. But each time the problem is the same: the purees don't pop out easily! I end up spending 5 10 minutes getting one cube out. Complete waste of my time. I think the only reason the purees pop out at all is because they start to thaw. The square shape is what I think causes of the problem. I'm concerned that I'm going to tear the silicone every time I try to pop out my purees.

The reason I purchase these specialized baby food freezer trays is because I like that there is a lid. I found that ice cube trays didn't release the frozen purees easily, and I'd drop cubes of food on the floor trying to pop them out. A tray with a lid means I don't waste food.

I love my Bebea tray and plan to purchase another today. As for the Annabel Karmel tray? I'm going to eBay it. Wish I could rate it a 0 star. I don't understand the positive reviews...

Munchkin Fresh Food Freezer Cups

Pricey for what it does.

Storage/space issues: For a cramped freezer or refrigerator, this 4-cup tray is fine. The oz., ml and tsp measurements etched onto the silicone cups could be useful. The uppermost marks etched on the sides of the cup are 2oz., 60ml. and 12tsp. For my 7-month-old who started solids only a month ago, these cups hold more than enough food for each meal; he only stomachs about 1oz of food after having his fill of breastmilk.

Storage uses: I've used these for defrosting and storing individual servings of pureed food that's been frozen in cubes. I haven't tried freezing food with these yet, but it is nice to know that I can. The Munchkin packaging recommends that you "remove lids and fill cups with baby food. Insert cups into tray and place tray in freezer. To thaw, let stand in refrigerator." It's not clear that you can screw the lids back on before putting the filled cups into the freezer. Maybe there's a concern that the expansion of the baby food in the freezer will cause the lids to pop out and wreck the threads. I don't know.

Cleaning/maintenance: For those lucky enough to have a dishwashing machine, these are dishwasher safe, top rack only. The three parts can be washed separately. The silicone cup easily pops out of the white collar, and the lid unscrews. Bits of food that somehow get stuck in the crevices can be cleaned off this way. The cup openings are wide enough for me to clean using bottle brushes, or soft sponges. As for staining issues, I've stored pureed avocado, parsnips, and butternut squash, and so far, the silicone, white collar and lids remain clear. When my kid moves onto beets, I'll update my review on the staining issue.

Transporting (i.e., any leakage?): The lids screw on tightly, very tightly if you want. There is an arrow (and the word "close") on the lid indicating how tightly you can screw the cup shut, but I never screw the lids on that much because I'd have a hard time unscrewing them back open. I've stored purees only in these so far. Nothing's leaked despite being lax about transporting them upright or across smooth roads.

However, there is a slight leakage risk: If you fill them with liquid only, the tight lids don't prevent leaks. I noticed they do leak a little bit when they're shaken vigorously. It looks like liquid seeps out when the silicone cup is not carefully positioned into the white collar (there are two tiny notches to guide the fitting of these two components). If you squeeze the silicone cups which is easy to do since the material is so pliable you could inadvertently cause the cup to detach from the white collar and thus, the liquid to leak.

Serving: These cups are about the right size for me to hold in one hand while the other hand spoons the food out or wipes away messes. They're soft and grip-able too, so if my baby had less of a knack for flinging things across the room, he might be able to hold onto these cups and feed himself without splattering his poor old mom. However, even if he were to fling these cups across the room, nothing would shatter. My heart might shatter at the sight of him throwing away the food I slaved in the kitchen to make, but that doesn't reflect on this product's construction.

Other notes on materials and construction: BPA free, and although I know the cup is made of silicone, the packaging doesn't say what the white collar or lid is made of. The silicone cups are clear enough for me to see what's inside and how much of it is left (or how defrosted the baby food puree is), although it would be nice if the lid had a clear window so I can quickly see the contents from the top. If you care about where this product was manufactured, this product is made in China.

Price: Minus one star due to the cost of this product. For this price, I wish these cups were entirely leak-proof or that they'd come in batches of six. Or both! The price is a major factor keeping me from buying another set right now. The other factor is I'm eyeing a similar product that will be released soon by OXO.

I don't usually write reviews but needed to for this product. I purchased 4 of these (16 cups total) to freeze my homemade baby food. This product is exactly what i was looking for. It's very durable (even in the freezer) and holds 2oz per container. When my son was 6 months old, I would use 2 feedings per container (1oz each). I thought purchasing 1oz containers was a waste since I knew I would eventually need 2oz per feed. Now that he's 7 months old, we use the whole container during a feed. Its plastic container is bendable so it allows you push and "pop out" the frozen food easily and store them in freezer bags. I have various food frozen in my freezer labeled in ziplock bags and when I'm running low on a particular fruit or vegetable, I whip up some more and freeze them in the containers again.

The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was because the food was difficult to pop out at times. Leaving them on the counter for 5 minutes solved this problem and when making 'thicker' foods like sweet potato, I felt it was difficult to clean after being frozen for a few nights.

I have tried many food containers and I'm most please with this one. One more note, make sure not to fill them too high because the lid will often freeze onto the food which makes turning the lid to open them difficult. :) Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to my friends! A great product for storing homemade baby food in the freezer or on the run!

I make my own baby food. These work great for portion storing bc of the measuring lines. Not so great for warming up food, even in a cup of warm water. As someone else stated they stain at the first sign of Sweet potatoes, carrots... most babies first foods. I tried everything to get then clean, even washing them in boiling vinegar. For the price of approximately 2.5 a container, I would expect these not to stain.

Maybe a little expensive for my budget, but I'm very happy with my purchase! The size is perfect for baby's first foods, they close well, are easy to use and clean. The only issue I found is that some foods stain the silicone, so if it bothers you, keep that in mind. I've done it with carrot puree, the silicone yellowed. I can see tomatoes do it as well, in case you plan to use them to save your remaining tomato paste.

We bought these with both the pink and the blue lids. We make our own baby food so they get used on a daily basis, and after 4 months of use I am very happy with them. I love that they can go from the freezer to the fridge and I especially love that they're durable and don't break if dropped. The size is perfect for the 'stage 1' foods since the portions are typically just 2 oz (the same size as these containers) and once our baby bumped up in portion size we just started using 2 of these containers for a single feeding. And the containers are small enough to where having to take multiple containers for a feeding doesn't cause a problem when traveling since they don't take up that much more room in the cooler.

My only con with this product is the screw on lid sometimes it doesn't seem to 'catch' properly and I'll think I'll have screwed it on tightly, but it turns out that it's not. I wouldn't consdier this a huge problem, however. After the first time or two, I just became more aware of it and made extra sure it gets tightened properly and it hasn't been a problem since.

Overall, I really like these containers and have recommended them to some friends as well.

The First Years 100 Count Pacifier Wipes

These have been a "must have" in my house since my daughter was born. I love them bc they can be used in so many ways...I use for pacifiers, bottles, toys, basically anything that drops or needs a quick clean. Also, no need to get the travel pack bc you can put them in a sealed baggy or I use a really small plastic container that snaps and seals shut. They don't dry out either! My daughter stopped using a pacifier at about 3 1/2 months (she's 5 months now) but I still use them all the time for the above mentioned. Must have!!!! It's also a great shower gift bc that's how I got hooked!

These wipes smell so bad, I can't imagine placing a pacifier in my sons mouth after using these to clean it. I bought this box of them along with a few travel size packs and it was such a waste. My hands smelled horrible after using them. Just rinse the pacifier with water, you'll be better off.

I had previously used Munchkin 36 Pack Arm and Hammer Pacifier Wipes, White, but decided to try these since they seemed to be a better value for the money. I opened the package to clean my baby's teething toy, pulled one out, and as I started wiping down the teether, I noticed the wipe had an awful smell like rotten food! The teethers also smelled horrible as a result. I pulled out another one to be sure, and sure enough, the smell was coming from the wipes. Needless to say, I haven't used any more since then. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, I asked my husband to sniff them and he concurred. I'm not sure whether I just received a defective package, since the other reviews seem quite positive. But the product I received is definitely unusable as I can't imagine cleaning my baby's pacifier or baby items (or anything else for that matter) with something that smells like food gone bad. I'll be going back to the Munchkin wipes.

I was looking for an economical pacifier wipe (one that had more than just 25 or 30 in a pack) for my four month old who continually drops his pacifier and teething "tools." I like that these are non-toxic and food grade, and they seemed to work pretty well. There were only two small issues: 1) they get stuck together so I often end up pulling out two, which if you're not paying attention can make them go twice as fast; and 2) they are a little dry. I expected them to be a little more moist than they are, so sometimes for bigger items (like teethers), I felt the need to use two.

I don't know how much cleaner they get the things my son chews on, but I really feel better that I can at least try to wipe down surfaces and minimize his exposure to germs when there's no soap and hot water available. I haven't seen any other products that come close in terms of number of wipes for the same value.

My daughter is now nearly 17 months old, but when she was eating purees we used these packets for travel. I usually make my own baby food but sometimes when on vacation storage wasn't practical for frozen purees. These worked out great, and were easy to travel with. I love that they are organic but only wish there was more in a pack. She enjoyed several varieties including chicken and beef.

Plan Toys Cooking Utensils

These pots are a good size for children but the metal is very thin and dents easily. Also the handle for the frying pan is too heavy for the metal of the pan that the pan does stay flat. We found much better, real stainless steal pots and pans at IKEA for much less money. Although my children play with them, I wouldn't make this purchase again because of the quality issue.

It's the one PLAN toy that has really disappointed us...

I just saw this toy at my friend's hose. Well, as much as we love Plan Toys, this one is NOT durable whatsoever. The little pot had dents all over. It looked like something you get for 50 cents... I will definitely NOT but this one for my child. Sorry, Plan Toys, but this time we are going with a different brand.

We buy a lot of Plan Toy products and love them all. The only thing I would change about the cooking set is how easily the metal can dent. Our 18 month old likes to bang them around. But then again, it is not recommended for under three and our 4 year old does not dent them. The wooden parts are extremely strong though. I would still highly recommend this product.

I consider toys by Plan Toys as high quality, aesthetically pleasing, extremely durable,... and high price. This toy only has the high price in common with what I am used to from Plan Toys. The pots are ugly, very flimsy, and got dented within minutes of giving them to my kids. The metal has the stability of a coke can -the formerly round pots are now egg shaped and won't sit flat on the "cook top" anymore -and the wooden lids have now become useless too. IKEA carries a much more cute, much more sturdy line of cooking, baking, and serving utensils at a MUCH better value. I really hope this will be my only disappointing purchase from Plan Toys.

Kinderville Bigger Bites Storage Jars (Set of 2, Blue/Green)

This will be my first time to write a review for a product on Amazon. And I've purchased alot of things lately on Amazon. I keep telling myself that I should write a review because I am so very grateful for all the reviews I read up on the products that end up helping me to decide on my purchases.

So here goes:

I absolutely LOVE these jars! I'm a very eco-friendly minded mom and only want the best, natural, green products for my son. The fact that this company, Kinderville has created a product that is green and BPA/Phthalate (sp?) and Lead free has my vote!

And it's not just to store his food in, you can store any food in here. I love the fact that when you push down on the lid, it seals it tight! And you know it's sealed tight because when you grab the jar by the lid, it is secure!

I am very conscious of heating plastics and avoid it at all costs. My son's preschool does heat up food but does not allow glass, which has left me in a bind. I bought these for that reason and to feel safe putting them in the dishwasher.

I love them! So does my 4 year old. These bigger sized ones are a must for a full meal size like pasta etc. I bought the smaller ones for side items and the bowls too in preparation for baby #2 so they can go in the dishwasher safely.

I wish they made other shapes and sizes etc.

The only negative thing is the water spots that show up after washing in the dishwasher. A wet rag will rub them off if it bothers you, sometimes I do that, it's not remotely bad enough to not buy them.

They are not cheap, but they seem to be the only silicone and heat safe items I feel good about using so worth it to me.

I absolutely LOVE this product. It has everything that I was looking for: a non-toxic safe product that's freezer, microwave and a dishwasher safe. It's a bit on the expensive side, but is well worth the price. I am not going to make food a month in advance for my baby. I want to freeze maximum a week or two of food. For someone who it planning to make a batch for a whole month that will be a waste of money, unless they can afford buying more sets!

well, i bought this per a recommendation of a friend, but after some research have discovered that silicone is still under investigation for safety. especially colored silicone because you have the added dyes to consider. now i'm bummed that I spent the money because these things are EXPENSIVE!!!!! Silicone is what women's breast implants are made of and there have been major hazards to their health when leaks have been detected in their bodies. i have decided to not use this product and stick to glass or stainless steel. The possibility of it leaching something into my baby's food is not worth it. Sure it's not plastic, which is why it seems safe. But I guess at this point I would rather buy BPA free plastics than use silicone.

We tried the masher, but found this works great for a toddler. it's perfect and easy to use, it also makes the chewing easier.

I like the fact that they are ceramic so that they won't rust in case you don't have time to properly clean them at a restaurant after a meal. The opening for the fingers could be bigger to make it easier to cut the food and this is coming from a person with small thin fingers! The scissors cut fine but could be a bit sharper. I like the cover, easy to take off and put on.
