Mother-Ease Sandy's Cloth Diaper

Mother-Ease Sandy's Cloth Diaper - Purple - LargeThese are big butt diapers, but with lots of bulk comes lots of absorption. I am a cloth diaper collector, I have one of just about every kind you can imagine, but nothing could last my heavy wetter through the night without leaving a terrible diaper rash because of the wetness. I happened upon a used set of these diapers at a consignment store with the extra inserts included, and decided to try it in combination with a large thirsties cover. It was amazing, it may be huge but for the first time ever I can put my son down in a cloth diaper and not wake up to a diapering disaster. My son is very thin and narrow in all areas and it still fits, but I liked how the leg could be adjusted if he were a chunkier baby. A good diaper cover also makes up for any little loose areas that occur because of my son's stick thin frame, so if you have a thin child go for a cover with good gussets just in case the leg ends up being a little loose. Fitted diapers can be expensive, but I would definitely say it is worth it to invest in 2-3 of these so you can use one for every night of your diaper laundry cycle. During the day I use mostly pre-folds of various types, I tried my hand at some fun pocket diapers which almost always means using polyester, but I've found that I prefer cotton. If I could afford it my son would sport the big butt look all the time because I would make my whole stash mother-ease!

I bought this in size lg for my almost 9 month old 25ish lb son. He is a chubby boy and fairly heavy wetter. I pair this with the thirsties duo cover and it fits wonderully underneath. It's somewhat bulky but not terrible. Very soft and comfy. I wear this on him for sleeping, naps, long trips. It works great. Holds in everything and haven't had any leaks yet not even with his massive poops. I could probably wear a size down on him on the largest setting but this size works wonderfully on the smallest. Working on saving money to add more to my stash. Hands down wins over all the other (many many many) brands I've tried. Mother-ease sandys and kissaluvs contours are the BEST diapers I've ever tried. Would definitely recommend. Definitely worth the price.

Mother Ease are one of my all time favorite diaper brands. They are so soft, super durable, and great at containment. I love the one-size and these Sandy's fitteds. The large size can easily fit a trifolded Thirsties hemp prefold, and combined with a wool cover it's the Fort Knox of nightime diapering. The bamboo is sooooo soft. I love how the sides are so stretchy and the elastic is super gentle. You can adjust the snaps to a looser setting if you have a baby with super chubby thighs. I love Mother Ease, I've literally never had a single leak with them.

I love to use Mother-ease Sandy's cloth diapers! They are my favorite diapers, along with Little Lions, and so absorbent! They are especially great for tall/long babies because they have a nice high rise. I have the unbleached cotton and the bamboo and both are so soft and fit very nicely, and work well with my Bummis covers. I can't wait to buy more!

This is a fantastically absorbent diaper. My toddler can wear it overnight without leaking, and it is superbly soft and comfortable. The reason it only gets four stars is because it is very wide in the crotch making it a more difficult fit with most covers. It also makes it slightly more uncomfortable for my younger baby to wear. It's a small complaint though for a diaper that works so well in every other way.

Beaba Babycook Pro Baby Food Processor and Steamer

Beaba BabyCook Pro - Latte/MintI have been using the Beaba Babycook Pro for two months now making my son his first foods: apples, bananas, turnips, potatoes, carrots, pears, sweet potatoes, green beans

I was initially impressed with how easily it fully steamed big chunks of dense food in a short amount of time. I could fully cook a whole potato and puree it in about 30 minutes, not including cooling time to pour and freeze. After the first few uses, my joy started to go away.

After hand washing all the parts (I have only hand washed everything), I tried to put the blade back on and it didn't sit back on perfectly right. Since the second use, the blade's seal has not worked perfectly and the main cup leaks onto the machine. It is not enough to go off of the machine, just enough to cause an extra place to clean.

I was also very disappointed the device cannot be self-contained and stored. The spatula thing has a storage spot, but the mixing lid does not and you can't put it on when the steam cup is in the main cup.

The spatula thing works for dumping the food out of the steam cup, but not as a spatula. I just use a mini one I already had and save an extra item to wash.

The last time I used it, two or three days ago, I took off the main seal from the attached lid to clean it; it had gotten green bean dirty. It now doesn't seem to want to go on perfectly. I can't see excesive steam escaping, but I am concerned about that seal's durability now.

The recipe book only has like 12 recipes in it, three for each age group and some of them are in conflict with experts opinions about what to feed your baby when. I have been combining regular baby food recipes online with some common sense about how the device works.

I'm not ready to give up on the Babycook altogether, but it has not been the superior product I expected from some friends' advice. It still is doing its job, I am just nervous about the products longevity.

I didn't buy this product from Amazon.

My wife and I used the original babycook with our kids and loved it, but they've made this one even better. The larger bowl is great for making extra food and freezing it. We love the fact that you can do everything in one machine defrost, cook & blend. Its become our standard gift when friends are welcoming a new addition to the family. Everyone we have given one to loves it. Making organic baby food is way cheaper than purchasing it, plus we always know whats in the food and we feel good about supporting local sustainable growers.

This is a great product that makes food prep convenient and simple.

Depends upon what you are going to cook but end result is good. Sometime it will take more time. Do not put too much water, when you use steamer, otherwise it will take forever to cook. Read the book carefully before you use. So far I like this product, I have figure it out how to use it.

Online manual said 50/60Hz but it only says 50Hz on the underside of the unit. Am still using a step down converter for the voltage. Not burned out yet after a few hours of usage.

Nuby "iMonster" Snack Keeper

Nuby 3-D Snack Keeper, MonsterWell, the heading says it all. My 16 mos. old son loves it, he is not afraid of putting his hand in he figured out quickly that there are crackers/cheerios inside. He actually likes to pull them out and share with us very kind of him. He can hold it upside down and no cheerios fall out.

The rubber "teeth" are *a little bit* stiff silicon but my son does not mind it. It helps to prolong the process of eating snacks -it takes an effort and time for him to eat all the snacks. We used it at home and in the car.

The hands twist around; the top and bottom of the body twists around but stays together it is not a removable lid; there are no removable parts as far as I can tell.

Great $5 spent.

**** Update apparently it is a two piece item it was dropped down very hard on the floor and came apart not broken, not cracked, but we now know that it comes apart -which is probably good if I ever decide to wash it. It was easy to snap the two pieces together and it is still in daily use. The eyes are starting to fade.

I have to love any product that helps me keep food off of the floor with two toddlers and the three dogs they love to "accidentally" feed. The teeth are really soft and rounded, so there's no scraping when little hands go in there. It's also able to withstand trips in the dishwasher which is SUCH a plus for me! I'm going to be getting more of these for a friend who runs a daycare just to help her with keeping the playrooms cleaner.

My 21-month old son already has 3 snack containers, so he technically doesn't NEED a 4th... But this snack container was so darn cute that I just had to get it for him! Plus it helps differentiate his snack container from his friends' containers (they all have the same ones, which leads to much confusion and many fights). But now the problem is that ALL the kids want to eat snacks out of this awesome monster snack keeper!

Great idea, very cute. The problem with this product is that the rubber teeth are to stiff and my 14 month old granddaughter has to work to hard to get her hand into the snack keeper and once she grabs the snack she cannot pull her hand back out.

This product is too tough for toddlers to use, the rubber teeth are just too inflexible and the mouth is too small! If you do get ahold of your treat you can't actually pull it out. It's not child-proof but people-proof!

Plum Organics Baby Just Fruit, Prunes, 3.17-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Plum Organics Baby Just Fruit, Prunes, 3.17-Ounce PouchesAfter the arsenic scare with baby formula, I looked into the source for all of my baby food. Plum Organics never responded to my email asking for information on where the product is made. I finally found it under a link regarding the makers of the packaging. Not sure many organic baby food purchasers would be thrilled to know that this is made at the Hosokawa Yoko plant in CHINA.

Our 6 month old loved it and it helped him poop! The value is good on Amazon and it seemed to have a flavor that our picky baby liked.

I love the convenience of these packets. They are so much easier to pack and go. I don't have to worry about glass breaking in the diaper bag anymore. Love the fact that the fruit is organic. The prunes themselves are great for a beginning eater. There isn't much texture to it, so I add it to cereal and other things for my almost 8 month old son. If you are just starting feeding, this would be a great one to try, but it's great as a mixer for older eaters, as well.

We use them all the time. My daughter loves them & they help her "get moving". No sugar, no junk. Less mess in the pouch.

When our pediatrician recommended giving our son prune juice, I found these instead and am quite happy with them so far. These pouches are extremely convenient. They are also a great price on Amazon with subscribe and save! I do make most of our sons baby food but I cheat on a few things--this being one of them. The other is HAPPYBABY Organic Baby Food, Stage 1, Fresh Mango, 16 3.5-Ounce Pouches. Highly recommended if you aren't thrilled by the idea of giving your baby juice.

Wean Green 2-Pack Wean Tubs Glass Food Containers

Wean Green Wean Tubs 5.1oz/150ml Baby Food Glass Containers - PeaThese are the perfect size for single serving baby meals. They are the perfect size and flat bottom for mashing up foods with a fork in them too. Great seal on the lids.

If you freeze baby food in 2 TBS blocks, then 2 frozen cubes will fit comfortably, and when they thaw, will probably fill it about 50%.

These glass tubs are actually a re-branded version of the 150ml GlassLock containers. Glasslock products are made in Korea, but are available in the US (I actually found some at my local Whole Foods a couple weeks after I bought the Wean Greens) in varying sizes and sets. The Innobaby Innobaby Glass Rectangle Food Storage Container, 2 Pack, Green/Blue containers on Amazon also seem to be the spitting image of the very same glass tubs.

That said, the colored lids are only available through Wean Green, and they're a really nice touch for no extra expense. I have dropped the containers a couple of times on a hard tile floor that breaks everything else I own, and they survived. They're completely spill-proof, microwaveable, and freezable. Just don't put them in an oven. The 150ml (5 oz.) size is perfect for 2 1-oz. frozen cubes of food, as one reviewer said. My little guy started on solids at about that quantity; now with an 8.5 month-old I fill two containers with different stuff, about 75%-100% full each, and it's enough for lunch at the daycare.

Two-ounce containers of any kind would have been a waste of money; 5 oz. was a good start and I'll skip to 8 oz. for my next babyfood purchase. I'd buy these for all my leftovers too.

I am a new mommy who just started making food for my 5 month old. These are worth the money. When you receive them you will see the quality of how sturdy they are. The containers are perfect size and they DON'T LEAK! I bought other containers that were cheaper and they leaked. Save yourself time and just buy these containers.

We love these wean green tubs for our 10-month-old--perfect for freezing homemade baby food. The glass container is easy to reheat (without the top) in a pan of water. We've used it repeatedly and the tops still snap on great. I prefer the round ones--easier to feed out of, and easier to clean. These rectangular ones may be better for carrot and celery sticks.

I originally bought these and the Wean Green Wean Cubes 4oz/120ml to hold my baby's homemade baby food for when we traveled and for microwave heating (trying to eliminate use of plastics). However, since then, I've been using these mostly for myself when I pack my lunches for work! These are great for holding small snacks (baby carrots, grapes, crackers, etc) so I don't have to use a plastic baggy everytime. These also work great for condiments like salsa, sour cream, peanut butter or salad dressings. These may seem pricey up front--but you get your money's worth out of them. Highly recommended.
