Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, Infant

Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, InfantI would recommend trying a different product instead. My 9-month-old daughter has 7 teeth and is a strong biter/chewer. We both thought this banana was the cutest toothbrush ever. We "brushed" with it for 2 days and I let her play with and chew it for a bit after each brush, supervised. On day 3 I washed the toothbrush and noticed that about 5 of the rubber bristles were partially or fully chewed off and missing. Sure enough, the bristles have since turned up in her diaper. Althought I considered sending the item back for refund, we will keep it for teeth brushing only. She is no longer allowed to use it as a teether, even with me watching since I didn't notice the bristles breaking off before. Please beware of this before deciding to purchase...I would not have bought it had I known.

It is silicone teether that is shaped as a toothbrush. My baby 1 year old and had it for few months. She is chewing on handles, toothbrush part and the other side. It is not her favorite teether, but she uses it occasionally. I gave it 3 stars because the product is misrepresented. It does not develop good hygiene, and it is not training toothbrush. Infants will not learn to manipulate it in their mouth, they will chew on it. Nor does it massage gums any better than anything else babies put in their mouth. It is regular teether, just overpriced. Whoever buys it still needs to wipe their baby teeth after meals and brush it before bedtime with finger toothbrush. The teether does nothing to clean baby teeth or to train the baby in tooth brushing.

Update: When baby began using teether heavily, she started biting off tether bristles one by one. After she bit off half of them, I cut the rest, and baby stopped using the teether shortly after that.

We loved this teether for about three days, until we lost it. :( My son really enjoyed it, as he doesn't care for round-shaped teethers but prefers ones he can jam into his mouth. The brush seemed soothing on his little gums and the peel handles were easy for him to grasp. My only complaint is that like all silicone stuff, it picks up lint like mad, so you can't put it down, say, on the couch, but the bag it comes in is handy as a storage bag. We held onto it just long enough for his bottom teeth to pop through, then lost it in a restaurant. Boo hoo.

Bought this to my 10-month-old who had 8 teeth and 4 molars coming in. The brush is soft but the bristles are set pretty far apart from each other, not like adult toothbrush. The bristles are more like little massage bristles instead of for cleaning. Don't like it at all. It's for kids who don't have many (or any) teeth. If your baby has several teeth, go with something else.

Got this for my then 7 month old daughter and she loved it! She loves chewing on every part of her banana brush. I make a game out of brushing her teeth (no toothpaste, yet) with it and it makes her laugh every time. She is almost 9 months old now and still loves it.

The only bad thing about this product is that due to the material that it is made of, it attracts dust, dirt, and hair like you wouldn't believe. You think your floor is clean, but the banana hits the floor and you have to rinse it off before giving it back to baby.

Despite that, I still love it. And with the little handles, you can attach a paci clip to it so it won't hit the floor when out and about!

Ella's Kitchen - Meals, 4.5 Ounce (Pack of 7)

Ella's Kitchen, Mouth Watering Beef Medley, 4.5 OunceI have tried a few other brands and love having them in the diaper bag but these were a big waste of $ since my lil one will not eat them :(

My son (who eats just about everything) was not a fan of this. The only way he would eat this, is if it was mixed with apples.

We have been buying this product to supplement the home made food that we have been giving to our wee one. He is very susceptible to gagging on lumps and we have had to be really cautious about introducing texture, but these have been great in helping him progress. I would describe the pure as having a rough feel to it (if you were to rub it) and it is definitely less liquid than others which is great as my little one likes his food smooth but not like water.

Our home made puree's have always had a bit more texture to them than shop bought ones and this looks a lot more like what we would make at home. In general the Ella's products are good and do not contain a lot of additives, If you are looking for food that is good on the go then this is what you are looking for. The pouch is easy to use and does up tightly so if it is not all finished in one session then you can always take it with you without worrying about spillage

We have used a range of flavours, all of which seem to be close to what we make ourselves

My kid loves Ella's Kitchen products. I am never able to find this specific type ins stores, so I'm glad I could find it online. The newspaper wrapping from England was a nice touch, I still have the pages from the newspaper

My children will not touch this. I tasted it myself and it was not very good. Even my 9 month old won't touch it and he'll at least try most anything once. Do not buy.

Ambajam Burp Cloth

Ambajam Burp Cloth, Chocolate Brown DotI received one of these as a gift and ordered 2 more because it was pretty and works well to clean up or catch spit up. We keep one in each room of the house & they get a lot of use daily. It's a bit expensive for what it is (a fancied up and re-purposed cloth diaper) but it looks great, and works well. If you're looking for a gift for a new mom, this would make a wonderful choice. There are lots of cool fabric accents to choose from.

Disney Pooh Floor Topper Disposable Mess Mats - 5-count

Disney Pooh Floor Topper Disposable Mess Mats - 5-countMy kids are Winnie the Pooh fans so I thought I'd surprise them with these mats. What a waste of money. The mats are as thin as a plastic garbage bag and the feet of a chair cause them to tear. Also, if you wipe them off with any elbow grease (to get off dried food) the image rubs off also. I currently use a vinyl tablecloth from Wal-Mart I paid $3 for and it works a million times better. The only plus was the seller shipped as promised.

These mats are great to catch items around the high chair while our child eats. We also use them while he plays to catch any messes that may occur. We use these daily and really like the mats!

I'm embarrassed to admit that we've left quite a few restaurants with totally filthy floors prior to discovering this product. We were the couple that would have to leave a double tip because our son decided to leave 2/3rds of his meal on the floor underneath his high chair. Ever since I got these, I've been acknowledged by every restaurant's wait staff about how awesome and considerate we are. We place it underneath the chair, and it captures most of the stuff that's inevitably dropped. I do wish they were round vs rectangular to capture more around the chair, but I'm pretty happy overall. They are a bit pricey, but I figure the savings in tip money is worth it!

I used these when my daughter was still in high chairs at the stage when all she wanted to do was see food drop on the floor. Since they are plastic, I could wipe up small messes, so they are reusable; but I'd throw them out when they got ratty or messes were unbearable. I'd take them to restaurants and the wait staff so appreciated our thoughtfulness, we'd have them come up to thank us for thinking of them. I only wish they were slightly larger, because the high chair took up a good chunk of the middle and then there wasn't much room left over on the sides. My daughter was sometimes able to get foods outside that perimeter. At least most of it was caught.

I have found other uses for Floor Topper as my children have grown, like groundcover for painting and crafts. I also place them under the hamster cage to catch debris and protect my desk.

Floor Toppers are thicker than plastic bags and cheap plastic tablecloths, so they stay unfolded and flat on the ground and not all bunched up. I still have a few from when my children were toddlers and I pull them out every now and again, because they can be so useful.

Not worth the money! I bought these to go under my kids little tikes picnic table thinking they would help keep my carpet clean when my kids ate snacks or did projects. Which they did to a degree, but they are very flimsy and if you use anything wet to wipe them off the print comes off and they become sticky. My kids feet would end up getting stuck to them which would cause them to move around a lot and all the crumbs or mess would go on the floor! I ended up getting the Edushape Edu-Tiles 25 Piece Solid Play Mat with Edges & Corners. It works great, much more durable easy to sweep and clean. Hope this helps!

Plan Toys Activity Breakfast Menu Playset

Plan Toys Activity Breakfast Menu Playseti love plan toys. these are no exception. people are correct; they are small. I bought them for my almost two year old; who absolutely loved them and was able to identify the food even though it is small. We have the Hape kitchen and wooden pots and pan set. The egg fits perfectly in the frying pan; so it is a good thing that this food is smaller. The ham, tomato, and cheese also let this set double as a lunch set; we make a sandwich. I cut some "lettuce" out of a piece of green felt which helps keep it together a little bit. My son loves the little cup. He wants us to put snacks in it for him (i think he likes the small size because it is easy to hold). It is well made and was very affordable.

the only thing is i tossed the too tiny mushroom but who cares. Perfect for my 1yr old!!! the Superior formaldehyde free quality ROCKS too. I heart plan toys!!! Buy this.

I'm a day care provider and need durable toys. The kids like the look. They enjoy the toy and aren't as tempted to put it in their mouth because it isn't plastic.

The packaging was very nice and all the pieces are true to color as displayed on the box and in images. For a 2+ age rated toy, I was surprised that there were several pieces I would consider too small for a two-year-old specifically the mushroom, tomato and a "meat" for the sandwich. My 2-year-old immediately put them in her mouth. Also, the salt and pepper shakers were smaller than appeared about the size of golf ball. So overall a nice set, but close adult supervision is definitely needed for those younger than 3.

They are very much worth the cost over plastic food. The quality is great---my 2 year old loves playing with them (I know he is younger than 'recommended') but he is a huge fan, and obviously does indeed put each piece in his mouth all the time as we play. I have no worries about the safety of this product's wood or paint. Have bought almost all the Plan Toys food products. GREAT toys.

Itzbeen Pocket Nanny Baby Care Timer

Itzbeen Pocket Nanny Baby Care Timer, BlueWhen I suggested to my wife that we needed this item on our baby registry, she thought I was just feeding my gadget habit, baby-style. Having been a night nurse for newborn twins and triplets for years, she thought she would never need this item. Well, this item arrived on the second day after we got home from the hospital and my wife wishes that she had it on the first.

You see, one of the skills that really suffers with sleep deprivation is math. If you can even mentally keep track of the times or write them down, doing the "hours" math on when our baby last fed, when she had her diaper changed, etc. is really not as easy as it sounds when you've had no more than about 45 minutes of continuous sleep for four days. So this does it for you four timers with little icons and a left/right slider for breastfeeding (which is also a tough thing to remember, but something you really don't want to forget). It is exceedingly simple press the icon button and it restarts the timer perfect for the sleep-deprived mind.

As for the suggestions by some reviewers that this timer needs additional features, such as feeding totals and quantity subtotals, I disagree. I think that additional features would likely take away from the simplicity of the device making it more complicated to operate on limited brainpower and thus less likely to be used. Those with more complex needs might consider a PDA with a spreadsheet or specially designed program.

It's not often I get to hear that I was right and my wife was wrong (we're usually on the same page). This was one of those times.

This timer system is beyond helpful it becomes your BRAIN when you have a newborn, as the hours, feedings and diaper changes become a total blur during this amazing yet totally sleep deprived time of your life. While it would be nice to have a few more features like total ounces drank, whether the diaper was a wet one or a doodie, and tracking of daily totals for everything that'd be more of a infantcare PDA, and is a bit beyond the scope of this little device. All it aims to be is a timer that will keep track of the key stats in your baby's life, consequently making your life way easier. I wake up in middle of the night and the baby is grunting, for example. I click the backlight button and see that in fact the baby has only been asleep for an hour, and had a diaper and bottle right before that. Then I just go back to sleep. On the other hand, he beguns grunting and making noises and I see the Itzbeen says it's been 2 hours 30 minutes since his last bottle or diaper, and I know it's time to get up and feed him.

It's also great for team caregiving, as my husband can hand me the Itzbeen after doing his morning shift, and I automatically know when the last change and bottle were. We use the wildcard button to track bottle expirations too.

Thumbs up for the developers of this cool gadget I hope to see an "Itzbeen II" w/ some advanced features in time for my next baby although keeping it simple does help keep it easy and quick to use, especially in the fog of a 1am, 3am, and 5am feeding schedule! (my son never got the memo that full term babies are only supposed to eat every 3 or 4 hours :)

Having twins we always had to write down everything, or we wouldn't remember whom we feed, when we feed them, or any details. We used to keep a chart, but then I received the Itzbeen as a gift. It is so much faster to press a button then to write everything down. When we go out I just toss it in my purse and when the babies start crying I can just pull out the itzbeen look at the timers and figure out if it is time to eat or they are just being fussy. If the boys do eat or require a diaper change, I can record it easily. no more carrying around a clipboard!

I didn't give it 5 stars because it would be even better if it could track how many oz of formula the babies eat and if it could total the number of hours the baby slept.

But still it is a nice tool for forgetful people. I'm buying a 2nd one, so I have one for each of my twins.

My timer was defective in that LED screen for the top function (the diaper change button) was not complete...meaning you could not discern the digits (was it an 8 or 0?). Otherwise, the other functions worked and I was able to see how much time elapsed. Overall, though I stopped using the timer fairly quickly for a few reasons.

1. I had a newborn and when she was yelling/screaming crying for her bottle or permanently attached to my breast...I just forgot to press that button to start the timer over.

2. For some reason, I envisioned a product that would not only keep time between feedings, diaper changes, etc. but would also keep track of the sleep time during the day, etc. or the number of diaper changes & feedings per day. BUT it only tells how much time has elapsed from the your last feeding, changing etc. Maybe I am asking too much, but I don't see what differentiates this product from a multi-use timer. It's essentially several times on one device. Overall, it is a good but for all the raving reviews I just expected more.

I came back and edited this review because I wanted to add that they company has fabulous customer service. I emailed the company to inquire about getting a replacement for the timer. The president of the company emailed me back promptly on a Sunday asking for my address. He did not ask me to send back the defective timer and must have shipped the replacement priority or overnight because I received the replacment in no time.

What I like least about the device is that it only knows when something happened the LAST time. It does not help you answer the pediatrician questions how often the diapers are full, or how often baby eats, or how long baby sleeps in total. If you have an iphone or ipod touch, buy the applet sleepyhead from tv-apathy. It tracks everything, is easy to use, gives nice overviews, provides useful history, and is not another piece of techtoy that will only be useful for a short time ...
