WEXY Lunch and Munch Snack Bags for Kids Lunch Boxes Fun (3pack)

WEXY Lunch and Munch Snack Bags for Kids Lunch Boxes FunI am so thrilled about these Wexy Bags!! They are not only fun for my kids who were so excited to show their friends once they arrived but they are also biodegradable!! Again, they are biodegradable!!!! This FINALLY ends my guilt of using plastic bags for school lunches... which I had no other option at my son's school. Anyway, thanks 2momsonthego for caring about our most precious Earth! I will most definitely order these again and again!

These are good bags. My kids get a kick out of the monster on each bag and I feel good about using a bag that is biodegradable. Haven't tested them yet with anything heavy duty or leak prone, but for fruit or veggie snacks they've worked nicely.

Naturepedic Waterproof Flat Crib Pad, 28x52

Naturepedic Waterproof Flat Crib Pad, 28x52This is a fantastic pad. It's quite thin, and I had my doubts that it would keep the mattress dry (my baby is a real spitter)--but it does, amazingly well (I am constantly amazed how much it can absorb and still leave the mattress completely dry, not even a spot). And it washes very well. Plus it's organic!--genuinely organic, not like some of the products marketed as organic but not 100% so. It has been well worth the money.

My son has really sensitive skin and was intrigued when I came across this product. It seemed too good to be true, but I purchased it anyway. It is fabulous. The whole pad is soft and comfy, so much that my son threw a fit when I was placing it under his sheet. It does not have that plastic crinkly sound to it. I have already washed it a few times and just keeps getting softer. It did not let any of our sons accident seep through to the mattress. It is a great size, I use it on our son's toddler bed. Great Product.

Need to return it as it is -waybigger than its size and we cant fit it on the crib without it bunching and causing a hazard. Just measured it it is 31x54.

We purchased this about 3 years ago before our son was born, along with the fitted version of the product. I couldn't make a decision and knew we'd want more than one for accidents, so got one of each. This flat mattress pad is PERFECT. So easy to change and wash. The fitted one is hard to get on in the crib and makes the sheets harder to get on. So first of all if you are wondering about getting this or the fitted one, I recommend this one!

I found this because I'm back to buy a twin sized version of this for my son's twin bed. We've been using this smaller one strategically in the middle so far but we feel we need something bigger now that he wants to try going without a pull up overnight.

I never noticed the mattress pad was too big as others have mentioned (maybe I got lucky?). It has washed up well, though we probably don't wash it often enough (oops). I just looked at it to double check the brand name and make sure I was getting the right one and I was thinking it literally looks the same as the day we bought it. It is really pretty soft and thin as well, but of course this smaller one on a larger mattress like a twin can sometimes bunch up under the sheets as the kiddos move around.

Good luck! We have enjoyed this product. :)

I was looking for a wool puddle pad, but they were all pretty expensive. What I like about this pad is it has the same qualities of a wool puddle pad, but is less expensive. Also unlike a wool pad this can be tossed in the dryer to dry, not hang dry. It fits on top of the matress and remains in place with the help of fitted sheet. Much better than a crib mattress pad, more protection and better material. Keeps my baby warm and dry, wicks away sweat, and is natural, no off gasing of plastics or flame retardents! Love it!

Belle's Biscuits Gluten Free Teething Biscuits, Blueberry, 5.2 Ounce

Belle's Biscuits Gluten Free Teething Biscuits, Blueberry, 5.2 OunceI like these better than any other teething biscuit of this type that I have found (hard, more for gnawing and sucking). They smell great, and are less horrifically messy than others. I would recommend them!

Plan Toys Assorted Fruits and Vegetables (Solid Wood Version)

Plan Toys Assorted Fruits and VegetablesWe got this Plan Toys set to go with our daughters' 'Hape' play kitchen this Christmas. I'll admit I'm a little spoiled by the appearance and size of the food that came with the Hape kitchen. It's ever-so-slightly larger than the Plan Toys food, and just a little prettier.

However, I rate Plan Toys 5 stars for the fact that I honestly believe their products to be safe, and more importantly, I don't think the kids will have my overly picky aesthetic taste. These will play just as well as our other foods, and far better than our Haba foods which are so darn small I'm not even sure I trust the 4-year-old unsupervised with them. Too, I like the water-based stains, and the way you can actually see the wood grain beneath them. Also, I'm in love with the way that the wood is sanded to a perfect texture. They really have a thrilling tactile thing going for them.

The one thing I wish I'd been able to locate before purchasing these was the size of each individual piece, so I took the time and measured (as well as I could, given the awkward shapes) in case someone else wants to know.

The tray is about 7.5" x 10.5"

The (uncut) foods are as follows:

apple: 1.8" x 2"

lemon: 2" x 1.2"

banana: 3.25" x .8" (at widest point)

pear: 2.5" x 1.8"

orange: 1.8" x 1.8"

mushroom: 1.5" x 1.25"

carrot: 3.5" x .8"

cucumber: 3" x 1"

The only piece that strikes me as being a definite choking hazard is the carrot. The top portion, especially, is quite small when divided in half. This one will have to be supervised, or maybe put away for a while, since our youngest isn't out of the mouthing phase yet. The cucumber, and lemon may be possible hazards that way too because the sizes are halved when the items are cut up.

Last, it seems worth mentioning that the velcro could have been applied more effectively. I had to give the soft side of the velcro a "haircut" just so the pieces would fit snugly against one another rather than sort of dangle and look ridiculous. Thankfully, this was a suitable solution, but it seems the velcro could have been more deeply seated, or of a higher quality or something of this sort.

All in all, with so few truly safe play food options out there, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this one again. I'm actually quite happy with it, and I think the kids will get a thrill out of it Christmas morning.

This toy is by far my 18 month old daughter's favorite. Not only is it extremely cute and well made, but it focuses her attention on a task cutting the vegetables. After she slices them she puts them back together and I see her experiment to find the correct halves to match up. This toy engages her mind while also helping her develop the fine motor skills necessary to do the activity. She doesn't use them so much as a prop for imaginative play yet, but I think that they will be a fantastic addition to her play kitchen in another year or so. I have since purchased other items by Plan Toys and have so far been impressed with all of them.

My 2 year old daughter received this as a gift. She loves the bright colors and that she is able to "cut" the fruits and vegetables. I love wooden, non-toxic, and durable toys that offer imaginative play. The down side to this particular "cutting" set is that the velcro, which sticks the two pieces of vegetable or fruit together, wears very quickly. In a matter of months, withstanding moderate play, our fruits and veggies don't stick together very well anymore.

I love the Plan Toys line of pretend play food products because they are eco-friendly, made of wood, and non-toxic. Excellent quality, well-made with smooth surfaces, and don't feel heavy. I bought this set to go along with Plan Toys' meat set, and breakfast set. Just the right size for little hands. My 2 year old son LOVES them! He no mouths things but because of the choking hazard I make sure he's not left unattended when he plays with this. We enjoy cutting it all up and piecing them together correctly, as well as practicing counting and color skills along the way.

I wanted to buy our 21 month old some pretend food for Christmas, but I wanted it to be safe, wooden and something that would hold her interest. She chose to play with this set longer than any of her dolls or other toys on Christmas day which surprised me. She was very interested in learning to "cut" the food as well as serving us pieces. She still spends time each day with her fruits & veggies. I think it does a great job of stimulating kids' imagination.

Underwraps Infant Baby Boys Girls Pea Pod Peas Halloween Costume

Underwraps 197550 Pea in a Pod Bunting Infant CostumeThese were the cutest costumes! They held up good for one wash, maybe 2 if on gentle cycle. They were super warm for my twins, so they couldn't stay in them long, but were adorable and super soft and very soft satin on the inside. They only complaint is the peas were an odd color of blue and not green, strange! These are going in our keepsake chest!

Rasta Imposta Tootsie Roll Bunting

Rasta Imposta Tootsie Roll Bunting, Brown, 3-9 MonthsI had read many reviews before purchasing this costume for my 6 month old grandson. Many of those reviews were negative saying the neck was too tight or the face opening was too small or the lettering "bled" onto the fabric. I decided to take a chance and order the costume anyway. . . . and boy I'm glad I did! I found none of these were true! My grandson weighs almost 20 pounds and the costume fit perfectly! He even wore a hooded coat under it! (The costume would have, also, fit smaller infants just as nicely). I had no problems putting it over his head and the face hole was "stretchy" and fit very nicely around his face. The fabric was soft and comfortable and the lettering was clean. He looked so adorable! I am very pleased with this product! Love this costume!

The size says 0-6 months but it's HUGE! I intended to have my 2 month old wear it for her first Halloween and it was far too large. At the rate my LO is growing I don't think she'd be big enough for it by 6 months and I've never met a baby that would fit this costume at that age either.

This was the BEST costume for my grandson. The fabric is very soft and mild on the skin and very warm. We attended a Halloween party so all we put on under neath was a Onesie. He was the Sweetest Tootsie Roll Ever.

I bought this costume for my 4-month old son who is around 30th percentile for height and weight. It fit him beautifully. We didn't have the head-fit issues that other reviewers noted. I'm not sure if they are making the head hole bigger now or if my son's head was smaller than other kids'. Overall this is a very cute costume and is very soft to the touch, unlike many of the cheap plastic costumes that are usually made for kids.

Plum Organics Just Fruit, Bananas, 3.17-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12)

Plum Organics Just Fruit, Bananas, 3.17-Ounce PouchesThese are great! My daughter loves these all through the day. I like the taste and texture for her. She's past stage 2s but I use these as filler to make sure she eats fruits since she doesn't like whole fruit yet.

I liked everything about this product the price, quality, packaging and, of course, the fact that its organic. My daughter ate the whole thing pretty fast. I recommended this product to some of my friends.

Buy Plum Organics Just Fruit, Bananas, 3.17-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 12) Now

I gave plums 4 stars for ease of use mostly.I only have two minor complaints really. The Just Bananas has lemon juice concentrate and citric acid, which I understand is to preserve the product. However, it gives the banana a very bitter sweet taste. My son did not care for it (the only food he has actually turned his head away from) and having tried it myself, I do not like it either. My other issue with the plums and other products that come in the very handy pouch is that the product at the very tip that first comes out is most often harder than the rest of the pouch. Which isn't a big issue it is not hard to squeeze the first little bit into the sink. This is one of the better options in premade baby foods. I also like ella's kitchen both for ease of use and organic ingredients. However, not being able to find a wide variety of vegatibles and fruits that I usually eat I have choosen to go with the BabyBrezza to make my own baby food.

Plum Organics is awesome. The baby loves the taste and I love how easy the pouches are to use. You aren't dipping a used spoon into anything. It just is more sanitary. Also the ingredients are as basic as they get.

This is a great product, my daughter loves them alone and mixed with other flavors. I add it into baby's other foods, both store-bought frozen and homemade fresh. The consistency is just right, nice and smooth and it tastes great! I always end up finishing whatever is left in the package! Tip: Because there is a bit of lemon juice in these bananas to keep them from turning brown when exposed to air, whatever you mix them into will also stay nice and fresh looking (avocadoes, for example). The screw top is much easier than a zip-top, and they keep just fine in the fridge once opened. I'll be buying these again!

green sprouts Teether Keys

green sprouts Teether KeysGreat Product! These are a TON safer than any other teething keys out there. I have purchased these along with the soother and stacking cups. I am very impressed with the product! My child is only 4 months old and teething and this is so far his favorite thing to chew on. UPDATE-Child is 10 months old and still chews on these and they have held up even with 8 teeth now!!!

I would not recommend this product because as our 6 month old son chews on this teether (the whole point of the product), pieces of the material come off. I respect the intention of this company and product in trying to be green so please improve this part as this is the most important.

This was a gift. I applaud Green Sprouts for their good intentions, but it only took me 5 seconds to see the keys were Made in China. Seriously? I cannot fathom how parents ignore the fact this is basically a food item. This is going into your child's mouth. I simply won't take the chance on potentially, shoddy Standards & Practices of another country. Any 'bad chemical(s)' that may have been unintentionally/intentionally introduced into the product, --will-leach out over time, into your child's body.

iPlay is Green Sprouts parent company.

Hey iPlay, I will willingly pay the $3.33 extra to buy BPA/Phthalate/Nitrosamine free Teether Keys made in the US (where ASTM Standards and Methods/OSHA are complied with and verified by law).

I got the Ring Cool Soother Teether, Teether Keys, and Infinity Teether. Notice a pattern here? Yes, we are knee deep into teething season around here. She had all 3 of these teethers before I went on my "let's go eco-friendly and therefore safe" kick. I replaced them all with the Green Sprouts eco-friendly brand and am not disappointed. They all boast PVC, BPA, and Phalate-free. They are made in China.

My daughter loves these, even more than the bold primary colored ones she had before by "The First Years" company. They're bigger and easier to hold on to. They also have different raised patterns that stimulate her gums while she's chewing on them. They're probably her favorite toy, so that gives them a "10" in my book!

Why is this "green" toy made in China? I wish I had the heart to buy from this company but I will have to go to other USA or European made products that choose to avoid the lacking standards in Asia. Too bad....iplay has some cute products. But I can find better ones from other places.

Earth's Best 44Ct Tender Care Diapers - X Small (Size 1)

Earth's Best 44Ct Tender Care Diapers - X SmallI wanted an alternative diaper to Pampers or Huggies and was so glad I tried these. I feel so much better that I'm using diapers on my little one that doesn't contain all the poisons that Pampers or Huggies has. I cloth diaper during the day and use these as my nighttime diaper. They hold very well and we have not had a leak at all. Love these and highly recommend them!

The product is good, but this company offer is not what it appears to be. It states that you are getting Size 1 44 Ct (Pack of 4); but you only get 1 pack. They need to remove the Pack of 4 from the description, or they will have many more disappointed customers. I wrote to the company and asked that they send the item I ordered, and they insisted that I had only ordered 1 pack, and so that is what they sent. If it is only one pack, why is it ALSO marked as being a 95% savings?

I trusted that this was going to be a legit offer since it was on Amazon; but am now very disappointed in the outcome.

Thermos Ice Mat, 6 Cube

Thermos Ice Mat, 6 CubeI bought this to use in my lunch bag and they work great. They are flat, so they don't take up much room either in the freezer or the lunch bag. They were still cold after an eight-hour day.

I bought several of these at the start of the school year, figuring that if I got even a few months out of each one, they'd be worth the price. Well, now at the end of the school year, I'm still using the first one I opened no leaks, no problems. It's survived a year of daily lunch box use, as well as use on the weekends. The 6 cube mat slides in nicely in the Vera Bradley lunch tote, and works just as well in a Pottery Barn lunch box with plenty of room to spare.

Buy Thermos Ice Mat, 6 Cube Now

My old Blue Ice packets were inadvertently thrown out by my movers, so I came here looking to buy some new ones. As I was looking around, I noticed these Thermos Ice Mats, and thought, hey, that's new and looks pretty cool! I ordered 2 of the 6-cube mats and 2 of the 9-cube mats; I also purchased a Blue Ice pack just in case these didn't work out.

My initial impressions of the cubed mats were mixed. I really like how they are able to be folded around an object, however, the individual cubes are filled with waaaaaay too much water. They have soooo much water in the little pockets (with no air) that the plastic is stretched to maximum capacity and it feels like they are about to burst. This is bad for a few reasons...

1. Water expands as it freezes, need I go further?

2. Unlike the Blue Ice packs that are filled with a water mixture that stays cold longer than just water, the Thermos "cubes" are filled with water.

3. Folding a packet around an object is impractical when the individual cubes have so much water in the them.

4. The cubes are rounded so you are unable to have a great deal of the cold surface area be in contact with your items.

5. If something jabs the cube when it's stretched out so much, it has a MUCH greater chance of rupturing. Think of blowing up a balloon with just a little air, and then tap it with a fork. The fork will just push the balloon into itself. Now, blow that same balloon up to where it's just about to burst and tap it with the fork. Chances are pretty high that you just popped that balloon. That same principle is going on here. Thermos could really solve a good many problems with this product if they'd just decrease the amount of water in each cube a little.

I froze both mats, put them in my lunchbox and went to work (FYI, my Blue Ice mat was the same relative size as the Thermos mat.) At the end of the day, the Thermos mat was melted and cool, while the Blue Ice pack was still half-frozen. I think the reason the Thermos mat was still cool was because it was in the box with the Blue Ice. Regardless, I was stunned at how poorly the Thermos mat performed.

On the second day, one of the cubes on the Thermos mat ruptured. On the third day I used a different Thermos mat and a cube on that one ruptured as well. On the fourth day, I threw them out.

The last Blue Ice packs that I had I used for YEARS, and had little problems with them leaking. Every now and then one might leak, a little, but it wasn't to the extent that I'd have to throw them out since they would stop leaking and I could still use them. I think it wasn't so much of a leak, but rather, some blue dye would eventually work it's way through the heat seams and get on something that made it look worse than it actually was. This is not an issue for me because it's so minor that it's almost not worth mentioning.

The Blue Ice packs are SIGNIFICANTLY more durable, you can even feel it in the thick plastic vs. the thin plastic of the Thermos mats. **Also, and this was new to me, but when I got my Blue Ice pack, I noticed that the dye they are using in them is MUCH lighter in color and is now a gel instead of a water-like substance.** For the last 20 years or so they've been that same deep, dark blue that everyone knows, but now they are a very, very, faint baby blue. If it were much lighter it'd be clear. So, for those that didn't like getting the dark blue ink on themselves if/when they leaked, that's not really an issue anymore. It's a good change.

Anyway, I'm not saying you should buy Blue Ice packs, but I am saying don't waste your money on this junk. I read the reviews about these leaking and thought people were rough with them, but no, they really are just that bad. It's a shame too, because there's really only 2 things Thermos needs to do to dramatically improve these ice mats, and it's exceedingly simple. Implement some quality control on the amount of water that goes into each cell so they are all the same and not filled to 110% capacity, and use a slightly thicker plastic.

**If you really want to stick with this same type of product and stay away from the Blue Ice chemicals, Flexi Freeze makes some ice cube packs that are MUCH better. They have the same amount of water in every cube, they're not overfilled, and the plastic that they use is tougher. All-in-all, everything that I've said Thermos needs to do to improve their product, Flexi Freeze has already implemented. You also get way more for your money.**

*************************************** Update *********************************

It turns out that I still had one of these packs left in my freezer when I threw the others out that were leaking. I'm a long distance runner and after a run I ice my knees for 20 min. I decided to give this ice mat a try in doing that and I have to say, it worked quite well. I still keep it in the plastic case, which I hate, but I know if I take it out it won't be long before it starts to leak. So yeah, even though it does work well for icing body parts, a 99 cent bag of frozen peas does the same job, if not better, and won't leak. Even though I have a new use for this product, it's still a 5-star concept with a 2-star implementation.

A well-made ice pack. Seems to be sealed well, and though I haven't owned them long I am hoping they will last longer than most freezer packs without leaking or breaking (which tends to happen with cheaply made packs.) The design is great for most lunch boxes, but the 6 cube pack is fairly small, so you will want a few of them at least, or perhaps some of the larger versions as well. (I initially ordered 1 6-cube, and 1 9-cube for a lunch box scenario and found myself severely lacking in cooling power and needing to pick up a couple more.)

I would currently recommend this product to anyone needing some ice packs, and I will update this review if anything changes.
