My children love the Apple Cherry Happy Baby pouch. I know it is organic, wholesome and very portable. The older ones can actually feed themselves. The selection is great on amazon, but Super Target, Kroger stores,etc...are carrying the product too. I wish this line was around when my oldest was a baby!

My son is 5 and absolutely LOVES these apple/cherry pouches. We buy them in bulk, stick them in the fridge or freezer and take them just about everywhere we go school, park, friend's houses. Great on-the-go! The organic ingredients are very important to me since both apples and cherries are on the Dirty Dozen list, and with organic cherries being so expensive this is a great way for my son to have them. And, I admit that I have eaten my fair share too :)

He doesn't care that it's baby food (or maybe doesn't realize it), he loves them and I hear him tell his friends about them too, which is very cute. Great product packaging, easy to take with us and easy to open.

Bambu 5-Inch Baby's Utensils, Set of 4, Natural

This fork and spoon set used to be just great. 5 stars all the way. Unfortunately the company didn't have the guts to raise the price directly, so instead they've cut costs by making 'em much thinner and much thinner thereby increasing their profits-'cuz they charge the same amount! If I'd known I certainly wouldn't have bought 'em.

I would not recommend this product. It splintered after one use, not exactly a safe product for a toddler. In addition, the tines of the fork are far too sharp. It's a shame but I would stay away form this product.

These products are fabulous! We got a set of two forks and spoons and used them over the course of our two little ones early eating months. Now they've graduated to metal, but for the first year of feeding, these are wonderful! They did splinter after a couple of years, and then we tossed them into the compost.

To summarize:

Nice spoons. Useless forks. Use wood conditioner to make them last.

I ordered this Bambu set (2 spoons, 2 forks) on Amazon 3 years ago for my first child. I've used them for 2 children so far. I wanted something softer than stainless steel that didn't involve plastic. The spoons were great for most things, but the forks are pretty much useless...they won't pierce anything and so we hardly ever used the forks.

After constant use, the spoons did get rough and sharp around the edges although they didn't totally splinter. To prolong their life, I occasionally buffed them with a generic food-grade wood conditioner that I use on my wooden cutting boards. The more frequently you use the conditioner, the more it helps smooth out the roughness. Bambu makes a wood conditioner called Bamboo Goo (Bambu Bamboo Goo 8-Ounce Nourishing Oil, Natural) that you can use on these utensils, but any food-grade wood/bamboo conditioner should work.

The spoons also occasionally served as teething toys when the kids were sprouting teeth. Now that both children are using stainless steel utensils, these Bambu spoons and forks have become part of their play kitchen toys.

All in all a nice purchase although I would recommend only the spoons and not the forks.

The spoon of this set is perfect for little onesnot too much volume in the payload area, and a good shape. I haven't tried the fork, but it seems like it would be able to spear or pierce soft foods (cooked veggies like potato, pumpkin, etc) but I don't know about harder foods like a veggie with a membrane or meat. The handles are curved and seem to be a good shape for little hands, and don't seem flimsy. They are meant to be handwashed, so those who say they splinter may be treating them roughlymine are ok after months.

UPPAbaby 2013 G-Luxe Stroller

N.B.: don't forget to read the update in the end of this review!

This umbrella stroller is only 11 lbs (on their website, Uppababy talks about a true weight (including canopy, wheels and basket) of 13.4 lbs), which makes it one of the lightest reclining umbrella strollers on the market. I just bought this stroller in a store and was able to compare it to its 2012 version.

The main differences between the 2013 and the 2012 version are:

The 2013 has an easier recline (the 2012 version has a drawstring, the 2013 has a very handy little handle, it works so well!);

The 2013 has two changes in color: they added the magenta color (before, only the Uppababy G lite was available in this color), and the black one is all black now instead of a combination of white and black. Plus, the black one's frame is black as well, whereas the 2012 model has an aluminum colored frame;

The 2013 has an easier fold;

The 2013 has an easier fold of the seat pad end (you can fold it down, straight or even a little bit up, which makes it great for smaller toddlers as well);

The 2013 harness lock looks a bit nicer.

What I like about this stroller is:

The design and material: it looks modern and the seat cover is removable and washable;

Its light weight;

Its easy fold: you lift a little hook on both sides of the stroller while pushing a little button, and voila, you can push it forward and it automatically locks. You can even make it stand while folded and it will not fall.

The canopy is very large compared to other lightweight umbrella strollers. It has a little extra fold-out addition that has a silver color;

The handles are high, so it is great for average height and taller parents;

The basket is easily accessible and large for an umbrella stroller;

The wheels have suspension, so it makes the ride comfortable for my daughter;

Easy steering;

5-Point harness that my daughter cannot unlock without my help;

The seat pad is thick and comfortable for our daughter. Compared to other strollers in the store, this was by far the most comfortable;

It has a shoulder strap so you can easily carry it.

What I like less about the stroller is:

The canopy's extension comes relatively close to my toddler's face when folded out. No major issue, though, as the benefits of a large canopy far outweigh this minor negative issue;

It does not have a full recline, so this is only good for babies 6 months and older. However, it does have a pretty good recline for older babies to sleep;

Sometimes the suspension of one of the front wheels appears to go "crazy": it keeps on bouncing the wheel up and down a little, for a couple of seconds. Nothing major, and our toddler does not seem to notice (I do, though!), but I had expected this to be a perfect light weight umbrella stroller because of its price;

No peek-a-boo window in the canopy;

The seat is not very deep. That is, compared to our Baby Jogger City Mini. Of course you cannot really compare these two strollers as this one is a light weight umbrella stroller and the Baby Jogger is a full-size lightweight stroller, but I do wonder till what age our toddler will be able to really sit well on this seat;

Although my daughter likes this stroller, she prefers our Baby Jogger City Mini. I think that is because it is sturdier, she can climb into it, and it has more space for her, both in width and in depth. We bought this Uppababy, however, for its ease of use in public transport and at the airport: the City Mini is just not very practical in these situations because it is less compact when folded, and heavier;

Apart from a cup holder, it does not come with any accessories like a rain cover. For the price of $219 for a lightweight umbrella stroller (or $229, as we have the black "special edition" version), Uppababy is not very generous to its customers here.

As the negative issues above are much less important to me than the positive ones, I am very pleased with this stroller.

I just bought the stroller today, so I cannot say anything yet about its durability. I will update this review as soon as I can say more about that.

UPDATE (April 7, 2013):

We have used this stroller for a few months now, including some intensive use during our trip to Europe (public transport, parks, etc.).

I still like this stroller for the reasons above. The issue with the wheels that I mentioned, and that others are also talking about, seems to have disappeared. I got the impression that it occurred when I would lean a bit more on it while pushing. Maybe subconsciously I adjusted this while using this stroller more. Also, this stroller was great for use in public transport, which we did in Europe: it folds easily, does not take a lot of space, and is not heavy. And the canopy extension is not only useful during Summer, our toddler wanted it extended as protection against the wind and the cold in the Winter.

However, I did take two stars off my initial review: it is great that this stroller is so lightweight, but it makes it feel a bit flimsy. Also, why didn't Uppababy make the brake system a manual one, or at least adjust this one so when you take it up or down a stairs or curb (with, but also without a child in it!), the breaks don't hit the stairs/curb? Going off a curb in order to cross the street should not be difficult to do with a stroller, should it? My major complaint, however, is the size of the seat: my 2 year old always tells me "sit better" when she goes into it or when I put her in it. By that, she means that she really has to do her best to make herself comfortable in the stroller. Apart from the seat not being very wide, it is not deep enough. As the measurements of the depth of the seat are similar to many other umbrella strollers, there must be something in the construction of this one that makes it feel much less deep than other ones (maybe the seat material (very slippery) and the angle of the seat?). Why make it possible to carry a child till 50 lbs in it, if a child that weight will have outgrown the stroller years earlier? Why not make the seat deeper or construct the stroller in such a way that it feels deeper than it is? Even 30 dollar strollers are often practically deeper than this one! For our toddler, I don't think she'll be able to sit in this past the age of 2.5....

I wish I had just purchased this from the beginning. I have a graco travel system which is great, but HEAVY and takes up a lot of room. I'm a first time mom and I didn't know what to buy/register for. Reasons I love the UppaBaby 2013 G-Lux stroller:

PROS

(1) It travel/transport friendlylight weight, has a travel strap, and can stand upright by it's self. (think airport, rainy day, bus stop, hurricane evacuation/anytime, small living spaces, or when your kid just wants you to hold him and you have to hold and push himnope just collapse and carry with the strap!)

(2) I love motherhood, I hate "assembly required". To get this baby up and rolling, all I had to do was securely attached to wheels by sliding them on and slide on the umbrella canopy. No tools needed.

(3) The seat reclines far enough for comfortable naps

(4) High weight max

(5) leg rest adjustable

CONS

(1) Opening (sort of..) to open this stroller you have to step on a special pedal with your right foot. The pedal is kind of high..if you're a parent or caretaker with knee, hip, or balance issues this might be a significant problem. Otherwise, its simple and easy to open.

(2) The storage area is limitedthis may or may not bother you. I'm okay with it. Just prior to buying it I started lightening my travel load. I keep a large fully stocked diaper bag in my car and keep a small purse/diaper bag with 1-2 bottles, 3-4 diapers and supplies, and a toy which easily fits in this stroller. Tip: I purchased a few wrist rattles. They fasten on to your kid with velcro. I fasten these to the stroller itself that way I never forget to pack a toy and its something my kid can't drop. I also keep a light cotton blanket in the storage area at all times (in case its cooler than I realized or there is too much sun on my kids legs).

APRIL 7, 2013: The suspension on the front wheels becomes unstable and wobbles at any speed above slow. I've determined the issue is with the actual wheel assembly which is detachable. It appears the issue is because the way UB attempted to build the suspension into the wheel axle housing...there's a reason nobody else does this. I have found a modification that may be helpful. By inserting a firm foam into suspension channel on both sides of the axle you can effectively reduce the wobble. The wobble will also go away for children over approx ~25lbs. I got this stroller yesterday (Saturday) and will be calling UB first thing on Monday morning. Its unacceptable, the reviews are coming in, and customers are complaining. They need to replace the front wheel system and face the facts.

But hey, everything else about the stroller is top notch (weight, folding, etc.).

UPDATE APRIL 8, 2013: UB has identified an issues with the front wheels on a certain batch of strollers shipped in early 2013. They are offering a free replacement for the wheels and will overnight them to you for free. I talked to them this morning and a new set will be here tomorrow.

I bought this stroller with a trip to London next year in mind, but I bought it early to get use out of it before the trip. So, I can't speak yet how it will be on planes, etc., but just from walking around with it every day with my 14 month old daughter for the last month, here is my list of pros/cons:

PROS:

the sunshade is great by umbrella stroller standards. The sun is always off her face (thought not usually the rest of her, depending on the angle).

The freestanding while folded feature is nice. I wouldn't say it's particularly sturdy while standing; I wouldn't let my kid hang onto it or anything, but it's handy in a restaurant.

The carrying strap. I love that I can just sling it over my shoulder (although the wheels stick out really far, so you have to be super careful you're not slinging it into anyone or thing, because it would do some damage).

Pretty smooth ride.

It's relatively light for all the features.

The front clasp takes some practice to get it quickly put together (my mom still gets annoyed with it), but I'm listing it as a pro because my kid won't be able to get it apart herself anytime soon.

It reclines really far, and is easy to recline. In theory she should be able to nap in it. Whether that will actually happen is another matter. It reclines back into a fabric backing, so she seems protected and cozy.

The seat material seems really comfy.

The parent cupholder actually seems pretty sturdy for an umbrella stroller. In fact, it seems more sturdy than the one on my big Britax.

CONS:

No window in the top or back of the shade to see her.

My daughter always seems a bit slouched in this stroller, like the seat isn't deep enough. And it's not because she's too big or anything like that, she's a fairly tall and thin kid.

Maybe I haven't had the stroller long enough for it to loosen up a bit, but it is seriously frustrating to get it folded up. Unfolding is fine, but I've literally wrestled with it before for 20 minutes trying to get it folded down. There's a scene in that show Up All Night where Christina Applegate's character and another mom beat a stroller to heck because they can't get it folded up. I never understood that scene until I got this stroller (and this kid has, between all grandparents' houses, jogging, full size, etc. strollers, a total of 5 strollers). But, on a totally unrelated note, the stroller is good quality and can take a bit of a beating.

It doesn't include any kind of parent console. I added a $10 one so it wasn't a big deal, but it would've been nicer if one was included.

Overall, I'm not unhappy with the stroller (unless you asked me when I'm late for something and having a hard time getting the stroller folded up. If you asked me then, I'd tell you the devil invented it to ruin my life. But I tend to get a bit hyperbolic when I'm stressed out, so you'd probably just write me off as a crazy person anyway). I'm honestly not sure if I'd buy it again over the MacLaren Techno, which was the other stroller we were looking at (we had a coupon that only worked with the MacLarens, so while it looks like there's a huge price difference, at the time we bought it there was only about a $50 difference between the two). But, I don't get to go back and make that choice again, so this is the stroller we have, for better or worse, and I'm ok with that. Just don't ask me to fold it.

UPDATE: Another few months on, it's still annoying to fold, but slightly less so. And, my daughter took a 2 hour nap in it one day! I got to walk around a museum and eat an entire meal at a nice restaurant while she slept soundly beside me. I'm feeling slightly more positive about the stroller in general.

I have the UPPAbaby G-Luxe from 2011 I live in NYC and walk EVERYWHERE. It is the best stroller. It is light for places I have to fold it up, and when I get home. The recline feature is so useful for us, because my son sleeps in the stroller all the time! And their customer service in all honesty could not be better! They are kind, quick, understanding, and most of all they want to help! The only complaint that I have heard which I can agree with is the breaks stick out so that you can't pull it up stairs. It is so light that I just carry it, so it has been fine for me!

First-off, the Diono Buggy Buddy is identical to the Sunshine Kids version. The company has simply changed its name.

When I first saw this product I thought, 'What a great looking product, I wonder if it would fit my stroller?' Browsing through some of the reviews I found it difficult to see if my stroller would be compatible. I thought other parents would also find this frustrating so I browsed through all of the reviews and summarized compatibility reports (as of Apr/2012). Some quick pros and cons:

For ten bucks this is an excellent alternative to more expensive less convenient solutions. The buggy has lots of storage space including a zippered pocket.

I should note that although the buggy works well for numerous umbrella strollers, it should be removed before folding since the wiring around the top does not allow for buggy to fold with stroller. Overall 90% of the reports were 4 or 5 stars with the negatives reviews primarily reporting problems with broken straps.

I recently purchased an UPPABaby Vista, but the cup holder you have to purchase separately from UPPA Baby is a joke. I had tried a couple of different, more expensive stroller organizers (Joovy organizer, Prince Lionheart cup holder) and none worked, so since the Sunshine Kids organizer was so inexpensive, I decided to give it a whirl and boy was I pleased to see it worked!

Not only does this have 2 cup holders (one for me and one for baby. It also has a zippered pocket and other larger compartment to keep my cell phone, extra binky's etc...

For anyone who bought an UPPABaby Vista and is looking for a great alternative to the waste of money cup holder from UPPA Baby! I also like that you can collapse the stroller without having to detach it! So glad I found this product!!!!

I have a Maclaren Triumph that I really like but wished it had cupholders... this organizer does the trick. You do have to put it on and take it off each time you use it since the stroller won't fold with it attached but its worth it to have somewhere to throw your keys and cell phone. I will say this... since its not attached permanently it does move a bit so bottled water with the cap on is your best bet as far as a beverage goes, or a soda bottle with a cap. An open can of soda sloshed around a bit while walking.

I recently purchased the Baby Jogger City Mini and was not liking the price of the parent console baby jogger sold. I came across this and it works perfectly. It provides me with a place to store my keys, phone, pacifiers, wallet, and drink, which is exactly what I needed. It has a nice little zippered pocket you could place your ID in or some cash. So far I have only used the drink compartment with a can of soda, but it worked perfectly fine. The stroller also folds up perfectly with the buggy buddy attached and I like that I can easily move of it to a different stroller if I need to.

I was looking for a "parent cup holder" for my Britax B-Agile stroller.. the Britax one was $15 and from reading the reviews, I noticed alot of people weren't happy with it. So I went in search of a better one and saw that the "Sunshine Kids Stroller Accessory Buggy Buddy" was really highly rated. However, it was $12.95 PLUS $10 shipping! After some more searching, I found the "Diono Buggy Buddy Stroller Organizer" for $10 so I ordered it. It's EXACTLY the same thing and it's been working great. It doesn't get in the way when folding the stroller which was a big plus and the cup holder's adjust to different cup sizes. Even has a zippered pocket to keep my car keys close but safe. Trukid Sunny Days SPF 30+ Natural Sunscreen: 2.0 Oz Tube (Does NOT Contain Vit. A)

I spent an inordinate amount of time researching sunscreens this summer, and finally decided to try TruKid, based on the EWG guide and reviews. It's such an improvement over similar types of "safe" sunscreens. It goes on much smoother, it's not sticky or tacky, and the white haze disappears easily once it's rubbed in or once a little time has passed. (My 3-year-old does NOT sit still for me to rub it in, so usually I just slather it on her and wait for the whiteness to fade-which it does, pretty quickly.)

Each of the other "safe" sunscreens I tried or read about had some kind of downside-usually regarding the whiteness, the consistency, the difficulty rubbing it in, that it stained clothes, or the scent. I can't find a downside to this one except the price, which is on the high side for the amount of sunscreen you get.

It's true that this is a very small tube-about the size of a wide toothpaste tube-and you're instructed to use a "handful" of it each time you apply, so don't expect it to last the whole summer. It's a handy size to keep in a pocketbook, though. When I reorder, I'll order the two-pack.

Because the order was filled by the company, it also arrived with samples of their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A nice touch!

We have bought a number of bottles of this product from Trukid. We like the smell and the supposed 'safety' factor of the ingredients. The price is a bit outlandish but we pay it. The only real complaint I have is that you have to be very vigilant about re-application and *very* thorough in that application. The product doesn't work nearly as easily/long as the store-bought, spray on sunscreens.

Then again you aren't coating your kids in noxious crap ... or at least not nearly as noxious.

So re-apply often and put it on thick and it does work!

This is a great product that goes on fairly easily (for a Titanium dioxide lotion -they are all somewhat hard to rub in). It smells good, and it seems to work. But 2 ounces for $10? Seriously? I ordered 3 tubes, and had not really registered how small an amount of product 2 ounces was until we got it. The kids like it, but it'll be used up in a week or two, since they are out all day and have to reapply at least once. Can titanium dioxide really be that expensive to make?

For an all natural zinc sunscreen this one smells great (a citrus aroma) & also it is very easy to apply. Better smell than the california baby sunscreen & also zinc oxide vs micronized titanium which is somewhat questionable healthwise.

Rubs on well, creamy, does not separate and stays while my sons goes crazy. Wish it was larger and sold in bulk size tube. How about a small refillable from a larger one.

Nice item, very cute. I just want more room. I wish you could put more than three or four pads in the clean holder at a time. Other than that was great to throw in my pumping bag and use on the go. Nice clean pads go on top, dirty go on bottom in a different zipper.

Munchkin Precision Digital Bottle Warmer, White

I bought it becaused I liked the timer & auto shut-off features, which some others do not have. But once I started using it, it would sometimes leak from the side. Then I called Munchkin and realized what was wrong. The thing heats by steam, so the water in the main body should be low, as a guideline, if it touches the bottom of the bottle it is already too high. What happens is if you move it or bump it or tilt it, too much water from the side container will sip into the main body, causing it to leak when it boils. If that happens, you have to empty everything and reload the water as per the instructions from the start. Aside from that, so far so good.

This product is not 100% perfect. For a reason that I don't understand the temperature is not constant, so I have to check it everytime (although I would do that even if that wasn't an issue) and sometimes I have to adjust (mix with cold milk if hot or warm again if cold).

This is my second bottle warmer. With my first baby I used the Dr. Browns one. The temperature on that one was always perfect BUT it developed some mold and deposits that were impossible to clean. So I ended up tossing it.

This warmer needs some adjusting but it is a breeze to clean.I just pour some white vinegar, wait a few minutes and wipe off with a kitchen towel. It gets perfectly clean everytime. I rather check the temperature and adjust than worriying about stuff growing up inside.

There are a lot of gimmicks out there for new parents. This is not one of them. Warming a bottle is made so much easier with this product. Wish I had this when my kids were babies. A must have!!!!!!

This warmer was amazing at first. It cut bottle prep time in half. Before we were running water through our one cup coffee machine to warm our bottles in a bowl. This was much more efficient. We noticed it was sputtering water onto the counter. I checked that the reservoir was filled to at least half every time I warmed a bottle. The final time I used this warmer I put the timer on for 2:30 (less than the recommend 3:10 which made our bottles scalding). Then I walked into the living room (in sight of the warmer) to get the baby. Almost instantly I started smelling something funny. It actually didn't smell like burning at first so I didn't think of the warmer. When it beeped that time was up I noticed it was still making noise. It sounded like sputtering. I immediately unplugged it and the sounds stopped. When I inspected it, the inside basket had melted and scorched to the heating plate. The bottom of the bottle was browned. There was no water left yet the "safety shutoff" had not engaged. It seems like the heating element went to as hot as possible and stayed there until I unplugged it. This scared me enough that I will not be getting another one to replace this. Very dangerous!

We bought this after reading several consumer reviews. I love how the water does not need to be refilled before each use, which makes it that much quicker. Also, it's relatively easy to clean on the inside. Fits all sorts of bottles, including wide ones. I also love the digital timer and auto-shut off. The timer has a nice memory feature so you can automatically use whatever it was set to last. Very convenient for us since almost all of my son's bottles are the same. One review I read said this got the bottles too hot for breast milk and was therefore not recommended but I didn't find this to be true. I'm sure you could ruin the BM if you left it on too long (the timer goes up to 10 minutes) but we give our son bottles of breast milk, each of which are 6 oz, most of which comes straight from the fridge, and at 3 minutes 20 seconds, the fridge bottles come out tepid, which is perfect for us. It took us a few tries to figure out how much time was perfect for us, but once we figured out the "ideal" time, this has been so easy to use! Definitely would recommend it.
