Earth's Best Organic 2nd Sweet Potatoes, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

This is my daughter's favorite variety from all of the Earth's Best veggies. They are all good but she likes these the best and honestly, I am so surprised by the review above that says they are bad that I'm wondering if the reviewer got a bad batch? These are organic sweet potatoes prepared for a baby so of course they are not oversalted or topped with marshmallows or otherwise destroyed but they do taste just like an oven baked sweet potatoe without any toppings.

I just ordered this product hoping that Amazon was carrying/shipping their newly BPA-free stock. I ordered many different types of Earth's Best jarred baby foods from Amazon, and unfortunately, the Sweet Potatoes that I received ( April 5 2012 ) were the old stock that contain BPA in the lids. No idea when they'll start shipping the BPA free sweet potato 12 packs, but I won't be ordering these from Amazon for awhile.

Note: I spoke with Earth's Best customer service, and they informed me that the lids that have yellow on the bottom side are the ones that contain BPA. The newer, BPA-free jars, which they started switching to mid last year (2011) have a white bottom cap side. FYI, the BPA containing jars had expiration dates of April 2013, whereas my other non-BPA containing jars had expiration dates of fall of 2013, such as November and October.

Ok, no one tell my son this....but, I actually put this baby food (always use organic!) in his muffins. He hasn't even been able to tell that it's in there!

It's easy to mix in the batter and it doesn't change the color.

Even if I can't get him to eat things like sweet potatoes...he's getting them anyway! Cleaver mommy...heehee

Earth's Best makes the BEST organic baby food ever! I'm a first-time mom and this product was recommended to me by several friends. What I like most about them is they taste very fresh and high-quality. A lot of them even smell fresh too. My son doesn't like the fruit combinations very much, but the vegetable variety are his favorites. I will continue using this brand for as long as possible. While a little bit pricier than other brands, but I think it's worth it for your little precious one. This sweet potato variety tastes real and fresh.

[Award winning] Kidsme Food Feeder (Large size)

I swore I wouldn't own tons of "useless baby gadgets" and I hereby retract that statement. Though, to be fair, this "baby gadget" is far from useless.

After cheerfully handing my baby large chunks of food (yup, I'm THAT parent), loudly proclaiming my opposition to pureeing any sort of food, and having my horrified husband constantly finger-sweeping choke-sized chunks from the baby's mouth (them gums be pretty dang productive at choke-chunk-ifying food!), I finally relented (we won't discuss how reluctantly, something about "natural parenting" and "learning the choking reflex") and purchased on of these.

And then, say, five bazillion more.

1. cloth nets suck (these are silicone, see #2).

2. these are super easy to clean. I bought a cloth net thing to check that out (different product), and after picking brown banana bugers from it for far too long, I'd like to repeat: easy to clean.

3. Baby is officially less covered in a thick film of slobber-and-food mixture, so the baby is easy to clean

4. Because of this product, I do not spend time pulverizing, then spooning carefully pulverized food into said baby's mouth*

* totally cool if you're into that, no judgement, just sayin'.

5. Baby's favorite toy. New food + kidsme+ airplane= happy silence and less baby hate. And really, don't we need less baby hate in the world?

Conclusion:

Kidsme + food = less food pollution and less baby hate*

*not that anyone EVER hates babies.

This was the first time I have ever seen these feeders where you put the whole piece of food into it. I think it's great because you don't have to worry about them choking on a piece of food. It cleans up rather easily too, not like the mesh feeders and it's also great for teething. I put a piece of banana in it and froze it. Very useful item. Highly recommend it especially to new parents who aren't quite sure how to do everything.

I was reluctant to buy a feeder for my twins, as the mesh feeders always smelled, were a pain to wash and clean well and were all around inconvenient. Then I saw this feeder and decided to try it. I don't regret it. My girls love the silicone and use it as teethers as well. I feed them frozen fruits when they're teething badly and they like the cold + chewing on silicone very much. It cleans amazingly easily and quickly too. It snaps shut very easily as well. It's an all around perfect product and I like everything about it. I bought the 10 month size even though my girls were only 7 months old and it worked very well for them. You definitely don't need to go with the smaller feeder once they are past, I'd say, 6-7 months. It's like a large pacifier nipple.

I love this thing. But to be perfectly honest, I just got it today. But I'm so excited about it I had to write a review immediately. First of all, the product name says it's for 10 months and above but the package says 6 months and older. My baby is six months and it is perfect. Second, I just started feeding solids to my baby. He took the rice cereal in breastmilk pretty well, but when I tried to feed him apples, with a spoon, it didn't work so well. He wouldn't take it. I thought maybe he doesn't like apple. NOPE. Turns out he loves them. I put the pureed apples in this feeder and then froze it. He ate the whole thing, by himself, with NO MESS, over the course of about 15 minutes. He never put the thing down and was able to feed himself the entire thing. I couldn't recommend this item more highly!! Oh, and the silicone bag is very easy to clean. Replacement bags are also available on Amazon. LOVE IT!!!!

Earth's Best Organic Sesame Street Fruit Yogurt Smoothie - Peach Banana - 6 pack-4.2 ounces

Nestle Cerelac Wheat with Milk Cereal, 17.6-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 3)

Having had Cerelac as a child myself it was great to find it on Amazon. It tastes great and my son loves it, he's two and I see him eating this for a long time yet. Being a powder you can make it as thick as you want for your little one to eat, or as thin as you'd like if you want a filling breakfast drink. The down side to it and many cereals is that it has a fair amount of sugar in it and no fiber. On the up side it does have vitamins and minerals in it. Either way, if you're looking for a tasty cereal that your little one will enjoy, this is it.

My son has been eating Cerelac since he's about a year old. He loves it. It is the easiest breakfast one can prepare, tastes good and very nutritious. I found out recently that it's available through Amazon what makes life easier. Before we had to go to certain special stores to buy it and sometime they didn't have it since it's imported. I don't understand why it is not available in the US since it's made by Nestle.

I grew up with cerelac. I still buy it for myself whenever i find it, and have a bowl at breakfast occasionally.

I started giving it to my daughter at 9 months. she is picky with food, but she likes it. It is very quick to prepare.

As others have stated, i can rarely find it in stores in the US. I have only seen it on and off at a Persian store.

When it becomes available on Amazon, i'll put my order.

I hope it does not get back ordered a lot!

Naturepedic No Compromise Organic Cotton Ultra 252 Seamless Dual Firmness Crib Mattress

After looking around for a safer alternative to a mattress that our daughter would be sleeping on, we decided to splurge and get this mattress from Naturepedic.

It arrived before the estimated shipping date which was a nice surprise. It was also very well packaged (a giant cardboard box that fit around the whole mattress).

After taking the mattress out of the plastic, there was no smell whatsoever. What a nice change! I didn't have to air it out. I just placed it in the crib and put the crib sheet on.

Our baby has been sleeping in on this mattress for 3 months now and she has not complained at all. She sleeps 9 hrs + at night and naps on it during the day as well. I've read that some people said that the mattress was hard and that they thought it was too hard for their baby. I don't think it is at all. You want your mattress to be a little firm especially to prevent SIDS.

We did have on occasion times when we needed to wipe down the mattress and that was very easy. Damp cloth...wipe...done! The seamless aspect will definitely come in handy for the bigger messes where I won't have to worry about any pee seeping into the seams.

One thing I did notice is that where she sleeps, it is starting to indent or leave a little impression. She's about 14lbs now. I'm rotating the mattress today to see if that will make a difference.

Oh one more thing, one side is suppose to be a little firmer for babies while the other side is a little more padded/softer for toddlers.

I would definitely buy this mattress again.

My son has been sleeping on this for a few months now. I really like the mattress. Good quality. I did expect it to be heavier than the traditional mattress we had originally purchased. But it is REALLY heavy. He has a convertible crib, so I know we'll use this mattress for a few years. But I cringe when he wets during the night and I need to change. Not fun in the wee hours of the morning. But given the trade off for an organic mattress (and yes, they spend a lot of hours sleeping so I like knowing it's better for him), I don't mind as much. But be aware that it is heavy.

When you pay top dollar, you should get quality, and, with this item, we feel we got value for our money. The mattress arrived with zero odor out of the box. As my husband is very sensitive to volatile organi odors, and so many products these days wreak of chemical smells, this is a big plus. It fits tightly into our standard size crib, as it should. The firm side for infant is really really nice and comfortably firm. Baby has been very comfortable and safe on it. Baby hasn't graduated to toddler side yet, but it appears great too, slightly less firm than the infant side. I like the smooth edges because the mattress will be easier to clean when we get to bed wetting stage.

Earth's Best Organic Strained, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)

This one is loaded with spinach, and that's what I wanted for my twin 10-month olds. It is not as dense as I expected or wanted evidently because they added enough water to make it more liquidly. Nevertheless, Earth's Best made it sufficiently tasty by adding carrots. That seems to be their technique to make what would otherwise not be popular with babies tasty enough. It already has brown rice so I don't think there's a strong incentive to add rice cereal to it, although one certainly could.

Of all the Earth's Best flavor brands, I believe this is the darkest natural green one. I have this by subscription and am glad for it. My babies like it. They are 10-months old; they might not have liked it some months ago.

Ingredients per the label: Water, organic spinach, organic potatoes, organic carrots, organic barley flour, organic brown rice.

This has 50 calories, 10% protein, 50% vitamin A, 15% vitamin C, 2% calcium and 4% iron. I've been informed that the percentage of daily needs met is based on an adult.

My issue with this product is that not all the jars have the same texture and consistency, what makes me wonder, some are fresh, and some are not... some jars had the spinach smooth, some other jars had it dry and "stiff". I want to make sure that what I give to my baby is good and fresh. This product did not convinced me 100%. I have to say I am happy with the squash, peas, among others.

I subscribe to this 4 oz. carrot 12-pack.

Both our twin babies love this one with carrots as we discovered with the vegetable variety pack. Other parents have told me their babies like carrots so this one is likely to be a winner.

I've tried many Earth's Best baby food in the jars products on my babies. They like all of them with only a couple exceptions. I've discovered they're not fond of peas or onions, but I've also discovered that as they get older they will eat more types of foods. If you get something your baby doesn't like, maybe you can keep it on hand for when your baby is a few months older and try again.

Several other varieties of Earth's Best contain carrots as one of the major ingredients even if they go by other names. I think this is to make them sweet so babies will like them more.

The ingredients are simply organic carrots and water. One 4-ounce jar (not this 2.5 ounce jar) has 40 calories, and daily value: 4% protein, 150% vitamin A and 4% calcium (that's all of it; no iron for example).

Compared to other Earth Best varieties, this has very little calories but is very high in vitamin A. I'm informed that the daily intake percentage is based on an adult.

I love that there are no chunks of spinach in this baby food, i can feed it to my baby without worrying about that. It's great to be able to feed him a superfood that he finds tasty. I like to put a bit of this in with all of his meals so he is always eating a green veggie.

Who would've thought a baby would love spinach? Mine certainly does! I bought it on a whim because I haven't seen spinach flavoring in any other brands at the grocery store. Now we keep it stocked. Green Eats 4 Pack Snack Plate

My wife and I have three beautiful children (all under 4 years old!), so this review is coming from a man, husband, and father...who is all to familiar with the ins and outs of the daily kitchen/dining routines.

So, straight up, the best thing about this product is that is is VERY EASY to clean. It's dish washer safe and again...VERY EASY to clean. Food just doesn't stick to these plates! They really should advertise that feature about this product. As a father who is responsible for dish duty from time to time, having plates like these make them easy to manage.

Now, these plates are small, so they probably won't be used to serve meals in, but they are good for small meals, and snacks. The kids love these...and so do we. :)

I love this company, love the concept, love the plates but these were just too small to really eat off of so they went back. If my daughter didn't already have "play plates" I may have kept them. Will try to find a bigger plate from the Green company. More recycled quality goods please!

I ordered these plates for my four kids to use with snacks. They are a little on the small side. I wanted to be able to put a slice of sandwich bread, but it's just a little small.
