I had braces and doctor recommends me using straw for all the drinks. I can use those plastic ones for the cold drink but not for the hot drink. Especially, I like drinking hot tea. Thus, I bought this straw for that purpose. No metal taste at all. I just need to be careful not to break it. So far, it works well.

My wife loves this straw. It is well made, there is a slight rounding over at the ends like a table top, and it is much thicker than we'd anticipated. The product exceeds our expectations. We'd buy another. It was also well packaged and the packaging was easily removed (Amazon box with a box with bubble wrap around it inside).
