However, as long as the cost of shipping is twice the cost of the item, I will not order this.I have a box turtle that is a very finicky eater. He likes to eat whatever's not in season. Luckily, he seems to eat this pretty well. Sadly, it has become almost impossible to buy this at the local pet stores, and the few that do sell it at a more expensive price. We were so happy when we found out that Amazon carries it. :)

Great product for boxies that go into a slump owing to, say, egg-laying or illness, and stops eating. I keep a can of this product handy for this reason, even though I usually feed fresh food to our boxie who overwinters outdoors. She's avid to eat this product, but normally I feed it only as a treat.Read Best Reviews of Zoo Med Box Turtle Wet Food, 6-Ounce Here
The product smells good and looked as if the turtle would really enjoy it, but it spoils really quick. It only took two days for it to start growing mold while in the refrigerator. For just one box turtle, it needs to come in smaller serving size packaging that would make it worthwhile. Might be good if you have 20 turtles or so.Want Zoo Med Box Turtle Wet Food, 6-Ounce Discount?
I was given a Gulf Coast Box Turtle some years ago. I could not seem to get him to eat anything for a few weeks. I tried several types of food, from fresh crickets and fish to "special" prepared dry food. He rejected it all.I bought a can of this and he went crazy for it! He ate an entire can in one sitting and now eats it as his staple. I sometimes mix it with dry food and vitamin powder and he still eats it up. There is a definite smell of bananas, bit there is also corn and other veggies in it.
If you have a finicky box turtle or are looking for a good food to fortify an exiting turtle diet, this is a real option!
