Penaten is an opaque white cream that comes in a resealable blue tin. Its odor is practically neutral. It's fragrance-free, so you can expect it to smell only of its ingredients.

I've grown up with this particular cream, and have introduced it to many others.

As an infant, my parents used it on the occasional diaper rash to amazing effect. A little goes a long way. You're unlikely to get through the whole tin while your child is still in diapers.
