Lullaby Earth Super Lightweight Crib Mattress

Lullaby Earth Super Lightweight Crib MattressI did a great deal of research on non-toxic crib mattresses to see what the options were and compared all of the choices. For us, buying an organic crib mattress was not in the budget. So, I decided this was the next best thing. We received this crib matress today. It is just like I expected it to be. It is exactly as described in the product description. I am so far very pleased with it. We got the American baby co. quilted organic crib mattress pad to go over it, which makes it softer. I think our baby will be happy sleeping on it. And we will be very happy knowing she is sleeping on a safe mattress! Another great thing is that it's made in the USA. Also, the reviewer before me referred to the cover being thin, which I was a little concerned about when I was ordering mine. However, I did not find this to be the case, in my opinion it is plenty thick enough, for anyone who is concerned about that. To me, the product is a good value. I would definetely recommend this mattress to anyone who can't get an organic one.

After researching crib mattresses and learning about the toxins they contain and off-gassing, I decided to buy new mattresses for my boys. I bought the Naturpedic lightweight mattress for my 7 month old and love it. It is a high quality mattress and seems very comfortable. My only complaint is that it doesn't "fill out" my son's crib, and it has that organic cotton smell--it seems to be fading with time. Since my 2 year old won't be in his toddler bed much longer, I decided to go with the Lullaby Earth mattress because it is cheaper and still a safe choice. I received it yesterday and was a little disappointed after having a Naturepedic mattress. The Lullaby Earth mattress looks similar to my Naturepedic mattress in the workmanship and design. Instead of being a natural color, it is white. And of course it is not made with organic cotton. The cover also seems a bit thin. So basically I would say that if you take away the organic cotton from the Naturepedic lightweight mattress, you pretty much end up with the Lullaby Earth mattress. Nothing special, very simple, seems a little overpriced. It is firm without being hard--I think that the one sided mattress is fine for infant or toddler. The great thing about it is that it doesn't smell, and it is a safer alternative to other mattresses. I would recommend it, but if you can afford it, I would go with the Naturepedic. It just seems like better quality.

First of all, I love that this crib mattress is certified green and made without arsenic and all the other nasty stuff they use in baby's crib mattresses. It was by far the most affordable crib mattress that received this label, and for that reason I would buy again. It seems to be of decent quality and I like that its waterproof. The reason I only gave three stars is that we've only been using it for a few months, and it's become super lumpy. After only a few weeks of use, there is an indent where my daughter sleeps. It feels very firm otherwise which is fine. For the price it is with it if you are looking for a green mattress, just be aware of this fact.

I love my lullaby earth mattress. And so does my baby! The first night we transitioned him from the pack-n-play in our room to his crib he slept through the night and has ever since! It's very light-weight and easy to change the sheets. A few other mom's commented that the mattress didn't fill out their crib, but it fits mine perfectly! I also like that it is easy to clean, we've only had a few mishaps with a wet bed so far but I'm sure there will be more when potty-training time rolls around. Most importantly I know my son is sleeping in a safe, healthy environment! I would definitely recommend this mattress to any Mom!

My one year old has been sleeping on this crib for several month now. We moved her into her crib around seven months or so. I also purchased one for my two year old. I have been happy with the mattress until yesterday. During a weekly routine sheet change the cover ripped at the corner. I don't know if it might have snagged on the spring but I now have a mattress with a hole in it. The sheet covers the area where the tear is so the mattress was protected. I called the company and they said their warranty doesn't cover that kind of damage. REALLY?? They were polite but that does not resolve my problem. SO they really mean their warranty is hassle free if they feel they should cover the problem.

Prior to this we have been happy with both mattress purchases. It is light weight, love the recyclability, and snug fit in crib and toddler bed. I would have given it a MUCH higher rating previously. I wouldn't recommend this product only because who has the extra 170 plus dollars to get another when this one rips just because you changed the sheets.

*Please note I did not purchase this mattress from amazon but a different company.
