FunBites Hearts - Cuts kids' food into fun-shaped bite-sized pieces . . . Great for picky eaters and bento!FunBites are perfect for picky eaters and to add even more fun to Bento Box Lunches or Muffin Tin Meals. It is an awesome kitchen tool that cuts kids' food into fun bite-sized shapes. Now available in two sets: Cube It! creates bite-sized squares and Luv It! makes a big heart and two smaller hearts from geometric shapes. Works great on any kids food from pancakes and sandwiches to burgers and cake! Made in the USA, BPA free, dishwasher safe and mom invented. These are great for kids and parents.

Bento Boxed Lunches and Muffin Tin Meals are all the rage these days. Actually Bento has been around in Japan for centuries, but now has become more popular in the United States. They are meals put together in a fun and aesthetic way that are placed in containers for convenience. Kyaraben or charaben (character bento) is a whole form of elaborately arranged bento which features food decorated to look like people, characters from popular media, animals, and plants. Muffin Tin Meals use muffin tins as the container. There are so many ways to arrange the food to make fun pictures of things or just make it pleasing to look at.

I received Luv It! My kids love Luv It! and so do I. It is so simple to use and you can use it on a number of foods. I just stuck with the basic heart shape that the Luv It! popped out, but don't you just stop there! You can also rearrange the shapes to create new designs. Be creative!

Try it on: Omelets, Melons, Strawberries, Apples, Pears, Kiwi Fruits, Grilled Cheese, Deli Sandwiches, Quesedillas, Burgers, Pancakes, Waffles, Tofu, Cheese, Pizza, Fruit Leather, Deli Meats, Brownies, etc. You can also use Cube It! to make your own croutons.

Of note when making sandwiches, I did find that when using spread or sauce (like: jelly, jam, peanut butter, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, etc.) you have to be careful not to use too much. If the sandwich has other ingredients besides the spread you can place the spread or sauce in the middle of those instead of directly on the bread. Otherwise it will make the bread mushy or gush out of it when you use the FunBites. Also, toasted bread works better for sandwiches.

I would love to see a flower shaped cutter from FunBites someday :) For now they have Cube It! (cubes) and Luv It! (hearts).

I love the color and the shape of this product, plus its a great and safe way to get young children involved in making their own meals. It makes it cute and you can have a fun time making your own little puzzles. It has safety handles on the side for gripping but unless you're using this to cut through soft cheeses it can be a bit hard to use. You have to "rock" the product in your hands and at times the pusher (smaller and thicker block) can get stuck or won't move out all of the product. You may have to use a skewer or toothpick to remove the hearts, also.

I have not tried the squares product but it may be easier as it doesn't have the curves and ridges that the Hearts Cutter contain. If you're not used to using food cutters on non-desserts, you may want to practice with something else before this but it can help with making easier, soft-food lunches for your little ones. I would suggest it if you would like something new to try, but be careful as I actually had to put my whole weight on the cutter as I "rocked" it back and forth so that it would cut through a whole-wheat sandwich. Get some practice with it and see if your child (or you) likes it or something similar to it.

I've written a more thorough view on my blog "Shin's Vegan Lovin'. I had received the Funbites Hearts Cutter for free for a review.

I loved this Heart Funbites food cutter! My grandsons and I made tiny, grape jelly sandwiches and they even got to help press the cutter through the bread. They loved being a part of this.

Funbites is really easy to use. Just press the cutter through your food, and out comes tiny, bite-size pieces. Great for chees, fruits, vegetables, cookies, pancakes ect...

Good product!

My daughter loves to take sandwiches to school in her lunch. To make it fun I got funbites. I think the heart shape is cute and simple to use. Clean up isn't too bad either. My only problem is that I feel the heart shape one doesn't use as much of the bread as it could. I think it could cut closer to the edges of the crust. Also the heart one is a little hard to tell the shape as only 2 pieces actually come out in heart shapes. The rest have to be assembled together to form the heart. Nevertheless it is still cute. My daughter loves it and it is easy to use.

Want FunBites Hearts - Cuts kids' food into fun-shaped bite-sized pieces . . . Great for picky eaters an Discount?

My kids are picky eaters so I have to invent or create ways for them to eat their food without me pulling my hair in frustration. This FunBites heart shape really helped me in making some creations that will make the food appealing to them. What I like most in this food cutter, it is very easy to use. The popper is a great idea for easy ejecting of the food. You don't have to poke each one to come out. It is quite sharp too so cutting the food is really easy. I can let my 5-year-old use it, and she can make her own creation as well. I wish I also have the cubes so it will be more fun eats for them. I can recommend this to those who have picky eaters and want variations in shapes and sizes in the food they serve to their kids. This FunBites is very durable and sturdy so even if you press hard in cutting the food, it can resist the pressure. I love having this kitchen gadget!
