I used these with my first child to freeze homemade baby food. They're good for the actual freezing process, and do help standardize portion size. However, despite the promise on the packaging that they are dishwasher safe, cubes that went through the dishwasher warped so that the caps would no longer stay shut. The ones we washed only by hand would stay shut, but were still not air-tight, and would leak liquids if they tipped over.

So my advice if you buy these cubes: wash them by hand, and plan to pop food out of the cubes, once frozen, out to store for longer periods in a good quality freezer bag.

there is only one set. and the containers are completely impractical. hard to open, hard to close and very cheaply made.also too small of a portion even for a baby. i just store food in a little larger batches in a tupperware container in the freezer.

I make some, not all of my sons food, and these containers are great! I wish they made them in various sizes so that as he grows I could use only 1 and not have to thaw 2-3 at a time. But other than that, a great time saver!
