Sassy Dippin Diner Plate Set

I run an organic childcare and these are the only plates that pass all of my criteria. First, they are free of BPA, which is a must for all of my purchases for children. I believe I read on another website perhaps?) that they are also free of other nasty chemicals (pthalates, PVC and lead)but you can research that if you are interested in further safety information. They are stackable, and they have slip-resistant points on the bottom of the plate and the sections are wonderful to keep food from running together (which most toddlers don't like). I also like that these plates are an appropriate size for toddlers to use and that is also helpful in giving them the right portion sizes and avoiding food waste. The price of these is usually very reasonable as well compared to other toddler plates. I don't use the lids much, but the few times I have they have worked just fine. The only other complaint that I have seen is that they are not microwavable which seems like a very solveable problem. Personally, I would rather my children's plates be made from safe materials than plastics than can withstand microwave use. I've been buying these plates for several years now and I have tried others and these are still my favorite. The Sassy bowls are great too! I highly recommend this product for anyone who has a toddler at home!

If I had read the other reviews on Amazon only prior to purchasing these plates, well, I never would have gotten to the "buy" phase. As it turns out, we visited a family friend with a 2 year old and my son got to use her plates (he is 20 months) these sassy plates. My picky eater is still a picky eater, but he is ever so happy to dip and each of these plates have a dip section for ketchup, etc. They also have sections that separate the food nicely and he doesn't like his food mixed up. And he can carry the plate it's not too big for him to carry across the room and it has a lip so the food doesn't slide off. Once I ordered the plates and saw they came with the tops, we take them every time we go out to eat. We bring his plate and a top, and use the top to contain the mess left on the plate (including his beaba plasticware which fits fine under the lid) so we can pack him up in a hurry and go home, without trying to clean up the plate prior to leaving. No more being worried one of the plates at the diner will end up broken on the floor and no more risk of dirtying the diaper bag. As for the review that said that you couldn't cut on the plates without leaving a mark, it's unclear to me what plastic plates can be cut on without leaving a mark... Regardless, we don't cut on these plates and they are in great shape, even after many washings in the dishwasher.

I loved the idea of plates with lids, if only the lids would actually stay on the plate! the lids are worthless, they do not 'lock' in place.

the plates are small, fine for snacks, not a meal, but they also scratch really easily.

would not recommend these plates at all.

Love them! Nice colors, easy to clean since they are dishwasher safe.

And the fact that they come with lids...... You can save the leftovers for later in the fridge with out having to place them in a different container.

They have dividers also!
