-It is more expensive
-It takes longer to arrive
-Shipping is brutal
-It lacks a chic carrying case
-It will not leave dark metal residue on your baby's food
-It does not leak like a sieve when you use it
-It can grind meat easily
-There is not a solid one-half to full inch of food waste left in the body of the tube
-You will not contemplate suicide while using it
-It actually worksI've only had it for a few days. So I can't rate the long term durability.
But I have tried it with one of the vegetables, that I thought would be a healthy test:
steamed asparagus. Did a side-by-side test of my KidCo mill next to this Kidalog Mill, and the Kidalog Mill did decidedly better. Since it has both a metal strainer plate and a metal sweeper, it seems to really cut the food rather than perform as an over-glorified "ricer".
Comes with metal strainer plate, metal sweeper, and another strainer. Didn't use the strainer (too fine of a mesh for most things). Seems more sturdy built larger base for better/easier pressing.

We've had this grinder for about 8 months now and use it weekly or more. Once I removed the fine strainer it was perfect for every soft food imaginable. Splash shield comes in handy for extra-juicy fruits. Easy to take apart and clean by hand or in dishwasher, and very durable. If I could change one thing I'd just make it bigger our little girl is a big eater. ; )Very nice mill! Perfect for restaurants or visiting relatives! I make the majority of our baby food in a Magic Bullet, but will probably use this more when our son starts eating meals with the family.Recently bought it for a friend. We had one just like it 30 years ago when my children were babies. We used it every single day. Easy to use, easy to clean. Baby eats what you eat. So happy to find it again! Would recommend it to anyone.
