This spoon is fine, but not great.
Pros:
Longest handle of any spoon I've found
Plastic changes color when hot (very sensitive)
I prefer metal to plastic spoons in all cases
My spoons have not yet stained, even with carrots (though I wouldn't care if they did) I don't know if this is variable from batch to batch of carrots, or if I've just been lucky, but I don't see staining yet.
Cons:
I think the head is a little too big/awkward for baby's first meals. Maybe better when they're older.
I get hand-fatigue by the end of a feeding using this spoon.
It's that last point that kills it for me. Holding the spoon for too long is uncomfortable. I prefer the meal-mates spoons for comfort and all-around ease of use.I bought these spoons when my son first started solids (around 5 1/2 months). At the same time I also bought the gerber infant spoons. At first, I felt these spoons were too big, so I used the gerber spoons most of the time. Within 6 weeks I had switched to using THESE spoons most of the time. Now at 8 months, I feel that the gerber spoons are too small, and I only use them if none of my Sassy spoons are clean. It is crazy how fast they grow and change. These spoons have held up well to many, many washes in the dishwasher. The color change is a bit sensitivebut I'd rather be too cautious then give something that's too hot to my little guy. Great spoonsI'd buy them again in a second.

I love these spoons. They are really great if you are using stage 3 foods and feeding from the jar. The color changing was great for when I first started feeding solids.Read Best Reviews of Color Change Infant Feeding Spoons - 5 pk Here
Especially for the first feedings, when you're not sure how long to heat the food, it's helpful to see immediately that food is too hot when the color changes on these spoons. Unlike another reviewer, I didn't find the spoons too big. They hold more than traditional spoons, so I don't serve 'heaping' spoonfuls I use more level spoonfuls for my six-month old.I tried these spoons as my first feeding spoon, but found I didn't care for them because the bowl was too deep and too difficult for baby to get all the food out of. I also found that these were a bit large for my baby at the time. I preferred Gerber soft-tip spoons as my first feeding spoon because they were small and shallow. However, I brought these back out after some time (around 7 months or so) and found that I loved them. The size was much better for a larger baby and it was easier to scoop up larger quantities for larger bites. I love the color-change feature, but beware...my pink spoon stopped changing color in reaction to heat. The others are fine, so I'm not sure what happened.
