My daughter loves coloring and these are perfect for the restaurants! Highly recommend! They stick well and are very large.
They are much thicker than the other mats, and seem to be a little bit larger as well. This is nice in that it provides a good barrier between my 21-month-old and the table. It also means when you unfold the mat there are creases that you can not smooth out. This was not such a big deal, but as it's a coloring mat, I can see how that might annoy some kids.
An 8-pack of mats comes with 3 crayons: red, yellow, and green. Unfortunately I ripped the tiny cardboard box they came in the first time I used the mats, so the crayons had to survive on their own at the bottom of my purse after that, which is to say, they didn't survive. I carry some triangular shaped crayons with me in a hard case now, and I'm much happier with that solution as it reduces the number of times I have to rescue a crayon from the restaurant floor.

I have two girls who are four years and 18 months. Not only do I love that these are the "green" option to disposable placemats, but they also keep both of my girls occupied while waiting for dinner to arrive.
