Gerber 2nd Foods - Vegetables, 2-Count, 3.5-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 8)

I recently ended up with GERD and a really bad bleeding ulcer, due to stress and grief. I have problems keeping food down and went on a baby food diet for the sake of thriving. Some types of baby food stay down, where as other types cause me indigestion just as bad as adult food. This specific sweet potato one seemed to ease my acid refluxing and indigestion and sooth my throat. I'm not at the point where I can eat the whole container yet, but this is a good start. This also has a pleasant taste. Some of the baby food is just bland and boring, but this one is alright. Not the best but still alright. Please be weary if you're having gastrointestinal problems. Babyfood is such a great idea if you're having problems keeping things in, and need to retrain your stomach and intestines. Just be careful, some are more acidic than others.

By the way, this doesn't have all the nutrients you would need to survive. As a adult you'd need about 12-16 small jars a day and you'd need to make sure you get enough protein. So be careful, this is only a temporary fix for people with ulcers and GERD.

I cant figure out why Gerber 2nd peas are so hard to find in the store...I see something green and its always green beans! We go through peas so much in my house with my child and this is the only way we are going to buy them from now on. The box is very compact and I just remove the top and leave stored them right in the box. It saves a ton of room in the kitchen, rather than having them tipping over in the cupboard.

One surprising thing we also discovered is that our cat who has a low appetite loves this simple pea baby food too. It has been healthy for my baby and a real treat for my pet. Good stuff.

My little baby boy latched onto any vegetable but peas and green beans. He really liked the taste of the sweet potatoes and corn. It was one of his favorites!

Baby Bistro Brands, Inc. Toddler Bistro Box

The title and the packaging suggest that this box is filled with recipes for infants and toddlers. Unfortunately, this has very few recipes. These are high gloss index cards with nutrition information. These index cards are very impractical for reading because if the cards go out of sequence you can't make sense of the reading. My toddler took the cards out of the box and I don't have time to reorganize the cards back in sequence! So instead of helping me save time as this bistro box claims to do, it has given me more mess to clean. I threw out the cards and now use this as a very expensive recipe box.

The recipes in this box are fine. I do make one recipe regularly. The problem is that there are so very very few recipes in all. There are a lot of sections but the cards go on and on about the basics of nutrition and some sections that seem like they should have a recipe or two in them (Dessert? I was curious what they would have for a dessert for a toddler, well, I am still wondering) but they don't, they just discuss the topic. That is fine and interesting but they are so obviously filler for a lack of recipe ideas that it is frustrating since that is what I purchased this for. Also, there are multiple recipes on each card and finding anything again can be difficult. I guess I would have preferred a book and so I will now use this experience to form future purchases.

This is my grand-daughter's favorite breakfast....although she likes all the flavors. These little toddler meals are simple, easy, and best of all, loved by my little munchkin (17 months old). She lives two hours away with her mother, who is in college, so I send these meals to her apartment so that she has them there, as well as when she's with me (every other week). Kinderville Little Bites Freezer Trays (Set of 2)

Pros: silicone and non-toxic; cute design, the lid

Cons:

1. the price is too high for 8 cubes

2. the lid stays on only the first time you use it. if you re-open the tray to remove one of the frozen sections, the lid somehow does not seal after it completely

3. it's a little tough to remove the frozen food. you have to completely push the section from inside out to take the content out

4. if you freeze something liquid, the trays bend, so the liquid can spill.

I will continue using them since they are non-toxic, but I am buying more plastic (BPA-free) containers with lids (Baby CubesTM 2 Oz. Baby Food Storage Contains no Phthalates, Bisphenol-A, PVC). They are more convenient and easy to use.

Similar to other reviews, I do think these can be difficult to use at times. So far we've only used them to make ice cubes, which can be a little hard to get out of the containers. We haven't had any problems resealing the containers after being opened as one review mentioned, and I think they stack well in the freezer.

The biggest draw for of this product is that these are the only freezer trays with silicone lids I've been able to find. Despite other products claiming to be "non toxic" I'm still skeptical and feel more comfortable using silicone, especially once we begin freezing baby food in them. I would definitely recommend this product and hope that more non-plastic options continue to be made!

I originally purchased these to freeze homemade baby food, but we didn't end up going that route. Later I used them as little snack trays a little kamut in one, blueberries in the other, etc. for my toddler. Now I use them to make ice cubes out of filtered water. I like that it makes a large cube (cone), versus a tray that would only make a small square. I'm also going to use bamboo popsicle sticks and make popsicles in them this summer.

If I'd known about the excellent 'stay fresh' individual babyfood containers by 'one step ahead' (available on this website) with screw-on lids, I would have bought them from the start and not these. These are OK, it doesn't bother me that you have to 'unpeel' the frozen food from the socket as it does one reviewer, but they are much less convenient than those other containers. I don't need to transport them much but I do like to take one pot out of the freezer and defrost it and then bring that single container to the table. With these multiple ones, you have to transfer the food into another container and quickly put the other portions back in the freezer. And they don't stack, take up more space for that reason, and so on.

Considering how expensive they are, I'm not too impressed. But if you're a silicone junkie, then go ahead. They're certainly usable and now they're a back-up option if I make more food than will fit in the 'stay fresh' containers.

In regards to the Razberry Teether:

This teether is NOT SAFE and DOES pose a serious choking hazard. The "mouth shield" is very flexible and allows an infant or small child to turn the teether sideways and get the entire thing into their mouth, as it happened with my 5-1/2 month old son recently. Fortunately, I was in the room when my baby got the entire teether stuck sideways in his mouth and began to choke, all within two minutes of his first time using the teether. The mouth shield and ring both need to be made of hard, inflexible material, the same as a pacifier, to avoid this choking risk.

I recently contacted Razbaby.com and was told the following:

"We are very sorry to hear of your incident. The RaZberry teether has been

in the market since 2004 and we have never had this issue.

The RaZberry teether has been tested extensively for all the safety

standards for pacifiers. One of the many test that is performed is on the

shield (mouth guard) to make sure it does not present a choking hazard. It

has passed all the standards in the USA, Europe, Canada and Australia."

Nevertheless, the instructions on the back of the package clearly state "This product is not a pacifier or a toy." It also states "Do not tie the teether around baby's neck as it presents a strangulation danger." Really? Before or after they've choked on the teether itself?

I have researched this issue online and found that other many parents have complained of the same choking problem. Absolutely nowhere on the package does it even state the possibility of any risk of choking. Maybe pacifier testing standards are less stringent than toy standards (as most pacifiers are "built" the same.) Seems like every toy on the market has a statement of "may pose a choking risk" somewhere on the packaging, even puzzles and stuffed animals.

If you're going to buy this item from Amazon or anywhere else, be careful and watch your baby at ALL TIMES, but I wouldn't take the chance. It only takes one time.

green sprouts 4 Ounce Sprout Ware Snack Cup, 4 Pack

I purchased these particular storage cups for their size, interchangeable lids, and their eco-friendly/human-friendly construction material. I intended to use them to store homemade baby food for daycare, but unfortunately, they are not air tight. They leak anything liquid or pureed applesauce, pureed pears, rice cereal, etc. I tried different cups and switching the lids, but had the same results with all. Also, I just purchased these so this was the first time using them (it's not like I've been using them for a while and they were worn out).

I'm sure they make great snack containers for dry items (Cheerios, Goldfish), but they are not as functional as I expected and needed. Also, note that these cannot be microwaved. I could not find this information anywhere online, but it's stated on the packaging.

These are cute (we like to mix and match the cup and lid colors), handy for transporting all sorts of snacks and meals, with tight, screw-on lids. And very inexpensive for a "green" product. We have been using them every day to send food to day care for my daughter or take snacks in the car. They last longer if not put in the dishwasher, so we wash them by hand. After a few months, the blue ones seem to get a little discolored on the inside, but the others still seem fine. The plastic gets a bit brittle after many uses and washings, and so a couple of the older ones have cracked when dropped and had to be replaced. In all, we bought 3 packs of these when we started solid foods, and we still have 8 or 9 left in good shape that we continue to use regularly after 7-8 months.

I needed more small food containers since we make our own baby food. I like the majority of our green sprouts products so I was happy to see these snack cups. I wanted the 4 oz size. Now, after a few weeks of use, I wish I had purchased a different brand. The lids are not easy to get back on. And since the containers are made out of vegetable product, they easily soak up the pigment of the food that they are holding. I'm not really sure if I can get these containers clean. (We don't have a dishwasher; we do everything by hand.) Plus, I'm not sure how long the containers are going to last even though we DO hand wash them. (The package says that they stand up to 10 dishwasher cycles.)

I am a huge believer in packing snacks in little containers rather than plastic bags. For a long time I have been waiting for something lightweight, easy to open, and easy to clean. I finally found it in these containers. They are lightweight and won't weigh down your purse when full. They are super easy for the kids to open (the lids twist off) and don't leak because it is easy to tell when the lid is on. They rinse and wash easily (you can't put them in the dishwasher, but honestly, I use them so often that it is easier to give them a quick wash and be done). Also, when you take the lid off, it fits perfectly under the cup as a little holder--so the cup doesn't slide around. Pretty cool. Try these out if you are up for giving alternative options a try!

Kiddologic bibit-all Baby Bib

I love this bib! I purchased it in the 12 months plus size for my one year old daughter and it works perfectly. It's a little big, but that's what I was hoping for so that it would last a while. My favorite aspect of this bib is the turtleneck-like opening. I tried other bibs with arms that had an adjustable Velcro opening and I could never get the neck opening small enough food was always dropping through and staining her clothes. I don't have that issue here. I also really like the cuffs at the wrists, they seem to do a good job of keeping food from sneaking in there as well. I was worried that it didn't have a pocket, but honestly the other bibs I tried with pockets never seemed to catch the food anyway, and the terrycloth here seems to do at least as good of a job as those with pockets at catching food. This bib probably shows more stains but it's a bib so that's ok. I bought several of these and only use the other bibs now if I'm in a pinch.

Sprout Organic Baby Food Stage 3 Herbed Vegetables with Roasted Turkey -- 5.5 oz

We decided get this when we wanted to train our daughter on more chunky food. Sprouts Stage 3 foods are definitely coarser and chunkier than other brands like Earth's Best and Plum. But what we (and my daughter) did not like about it was the overwhelming smell of the food which led her to throw up or gag every time we gave this to her.

I tried a bite out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised by how aromatic and delicious this is! My 9 month old loves it too, but she also likes spicy and herby foods (probably because I eat a lot of garlic). It is VERY potent, so I can see why a lot of babies wouldn't like it, but if you have a little one who seems bored of Gerber's cardboardy "mixed dinners" then I strongly recommend. Garlic is a great food to introduce to your babies anyways because it's loaded with nutrients and fights infection, and if you're worried about the smell just mix in some chopped parsley.

My baby has a high tolerance for most foods but this product literally made him throw up. There are too too many spices, especially garlic, in this product. I should have known better but I spooned a little into my baby's mouth and he swallowed some before he realized how horrible the flavor was for his young senses. He gagged and gagged then he threw it up. I'm returning the unused packets tomorrow. There was more garlic in this meal than on the garlic bread at your favorite Italian restaurant. What were they thinking?

I purchased this product for my son as soon as i opened the package I was overwhelmed by how fragrant the baby food was. I still gave it a go and my son gagged before tasting...too strong for new baby senses. Hello Kitty Sanrio Baby Girl Large Bib

I was going through what I perceived to be a power struggle with my 1 year old over wearing her bib. Then I realized that she just didn't think that her bibs were fashionable enough.
