Philips AVENT Express Food and Bottle Warmer

Philips AVENT Express Food and Bottle WarmerThis bottle warmer works great!! Since we don't have a microwave to heat water quickly, and I got tired of trying to heat bottles in warm water, a bottle warmer seemed to be the best solution.

I choose this brand because I use the Avent bottles and because a local store had it marked down to $24 (I didn't know the original price, and didn't realize what a deal I was getting). I was hoping it would work well, but it has surpassed all my expectations. It heats VERY quickly, even from refrigerator temperature. It's easy to use, clean, and store. Just be sure and follow the instructions. Once it begins to blink, remove the bottle and check the temp. I waited once and the bottle got quite warm. But, everytime I've removed it right away, the temp. has been perfect.

One note on the blinking light. The instructions say when the light blinks, the water has reached the proper temp. Now blinking to me means the light going on and off every few seconds. I guess this is not what blinking means to them. The light will go off, stay off for about 30-60 seconds, and then turn back on for 30-60 seconds. I didn't realize this was "blinking" until I waited through a few cycles and found the bottle very warm. So, I just put it where I can see it and remove the bottle when the light goes off the first time.

Also, as the other reviewer said, there is an on/off switch on the back of the until.

I highly recommend this product!!

This bottle warmer has done its job and is awesome compared to running it under hot water (took forever) but it has some weird features. It has 3 settings but for warming anything from 4 oz. bottles to baby food, you use setting 3---don't know why there are even other settings. Also, it needs a timer. They give you specific heating times but there is no timer on the unit. You need to set another timer in order to not overheat the milk.

We use this warmer with the Dr Brown's glass bottles and have been very happy with it. Originally we had the steam-based version from Philips. It worked great as well, but the lid sometimes got in the way, you couldn't always tell how much water was at the bottom, so we dumped and refilled every time.

This warmer just sits there quietly, warms up quickly and you don't have to guess whether the warming is done or not because you can feel the temperature of the milk through the glass in the unsubmerged portion of the bottle. At first we thought it would take much longer than the steam-based version but haven't found that to be the case -2-3 minutes is enough.

The one thing we've found is that the bottles warm better the higher the water level, so we fill it to the brim each time. Also, it can be easy to forget this is on and we've found it will start to super-heat the water to a low boil. Left on overnight (we unplug each night) this could be a problem.

While buying this product I was not sure it would work with bottles other Avents. We have used it with Medela and Dr Brown bottles and it works great.

My wife and I had hard time running to the kitchen and back to the bedroom for getting a warm water to heat the milk in the middle of the night with your eyes half closed and youre half awake. It takes about 8 mins til we're able to serve our baby a warm milk. Shes hungry! So I looked around the net for solution and found this product. Read the reviews and I was convinced that this is what we really needed. Both me and my wife are very pleased and happy how quick this product warms the bottle milk. It takes about 2-3 mins thats when the light shuts off and by that time the milk is ready. The moment the orange lamp/light turns off we pull out the bottle immediately and the milk temperature is just right. The water level is sometimes hard to determine how much youve poured in. cant really tell if its already level to the milk. My wife simply just lets it go little over the level of the milk. I wish they put a water level indicator outside. When the lamp/light turns off the water inside is hot, you can see it steam up and evaporate so you keep a bottled water beside ready for the next heating. After the light turns off after few mins it will turn on again because I believe it will maintain the hot water temperature. We put the dial setting high full to the right that way it's quick on heating the water and the bottled milk. This product is very very helpful making our response time to our baby quicker. When she cries, she cant wait for the milk. Just test the milk always before giving it to the baby. Always. I highly recommed this product to parents with baby.

Yummy Spoonfuls Chunky Yummy Organic, 6-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 12)

Yummy Spoonfuls Chunky Yummy Organic Rice Medley, 6-Ounce TubsThe baby food sold by Yummy Spoonfuls is the closest you can get to homemade in the current market of organic frozen food in my experience. We tried several top reviewed brands and even though they met expectations as far as taste and ingredients, Yummy Spoonfuls appear to be of a more natural/homemade consistency (like if you just had finished cooking them yourself). We are finally on stage 3 and I am amaze at how wonderful this food is and what is even astonishing is that Yummy Spoonfuls is the only baby food we found in the market today with a stage 3 product that has no fillers.. We have a healthy eater and healthy baby thanks to you all.. We tell all our friends about your wonderful brand, we hope it becomes more accessible soon.. Thank you for setting such a high standard for us all..

The customer service at Yummy Spoonfuls is OUTSTANDING too

DadGear Messenger Bag Skulls & Flames

DadGear Skull and Flames Diaper Bag MessengerI'm a first time dad, so I may not know what I'm talking about.

I've found this bag to be tremendously useful. It has lots of pockets for all those necessities like diapers, wipes, and bottles. It's also pretty rugged. When my kid finally gets big enough to not need this any more, I'm probably going to use it as my laptop bag.

My only complaint is the changing pad. I don't think it's big enough, but it'll do in a crunch.

Step 2 Sizzlin' Shapes Kitchen

Step 2 Sizzlin' Shapes KitchenI like Step 2 products in general. The big components of their toys are still made in the USA and that is a big plus for me. I bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday. Its cute, but she never really showed much interest in it.

Although, now that she is almost 2, I think she plays with it a little more. She cracks me up with some of the things I find tucked into the microwave or in the refrigerator. She enjoys putting things in the sink and refrigerator and watching them tumble out and the shape sorter is a great. Her favorite thing about it, naturally, is thedifferent noises it makes.

Overall, a nice product from a good company. I would have given it 5 stars if it held my daughter's attention a little bit more, but I think it just depends on your kid.

Gave as gift to granddaughter at 16 months old. This is the first toy she runs to when she visits every time for the past year. She is now almost 2 1/2 and is getting too big for it but still loves it. What she loves the most are the electronic sounds -the sizzle when she sets a pan on the burner and the water sound when she pushes button on sink faucet. I've been looking for a bigger kitchen and am disappointed that I cannot find a larger kitchen with the water sound feature. The only thing disappointing with the kitchen is the refrigerator -the shelves are barely there and round so that nothing can sit on them and therefore is useless. But, this doesn't matter to granddaughter because she is happy using the stovetop, sink, and microwave.

Gerber Graduates Mealtime Organizer

Gerber Graduates Mealtime Organizer, Colors May VaryThe color is random, so we got blue and it matches my daughter's backpack.

I got this container after seeing a similar one at pottery barn kids. This one is less expensive, but actually looks better in person (and more functional). It doesn't look childish in any way and can easily be used as a lunchbox insert or on it's own. The container perfectly fits inside the standard lunch box (it's easier for my 1st grader to carry around and lunchboxes are insulated too). One of the departments has a leak proof lid though I have never tried putting liquid in it since I prefer to use the Thermos Foogo for soups and such. It works good for pasta with sauce though. I've made a mistake by putting in hot pasta once. Don't do it. The lid "sucks in" and it's impossible for little hands to open.

P.S. Dishwasher safe, BPA free and lead free

I bought this container for my daughter when she started kindergarten. I looked at many different containers, and none of them were what I was looking for...then I found this one!

My daughter is five years old so I wanted something that would have an easy lid for her to take off, but also be able to securely snap the lid back down this was the only container I could find like that and it has worked great! When she opens her lunchbox, she just keeps the container inside the lunchbox and flips the lid open. She likes it cause she doesn't have to take anything out of her lunchbox and all her food is neatly in front of her and ready to eat. She doesn't have to deal with opening a ton of baggies.

I really like that it comes with a small lid to fit over one of the smaller sections in the container. It has rubber around it so it secures on tightly. I wouldn't trust that lid to keep in liquid, but I always put things like fresh fruit (which of course has some juice), hummus, guacamole, apple sauce, etc. in it and it never leaks into other sections of the container.

Some reviewers have commented about there not being enough room for ice packs or juice boxes. I always put a juice box and two ice packs in the lunchbox, underneath the container. I have used different ice packs with this, but my favorite are flat, plastic ice packs. We use the top compartment for kids-size utensils and napkins. There is also a space on the lid to slide in a picture or note for your child this has been fun for us!

I highly recommend putting this container in a lunchbox! We have never tried sending this to school on it's own and I don't think that would be a good idea with any container. It fits perfectly in our "standard size" rectangular lunchbox.

This container has been perfect for my 5 year old's lunches! This is very reasonably priced, so I didn't mind at all spending a bit of money to try it out. We bought one at Target and loved it so much that we purchased a second one at Wal-mart. (we have both pink and blue. I have no idea why it is listed as red it is definitely pink!)

Great product!!!

I was surprised that this lunchbox is the same size as the laptop lunch bento boxes which are ~9"x9.2"x2.5" (I didn't actually measure it, but I set it on top of the laptop lunch box and it's almost exact.) I assumed for the price and the target age range (and since dimensions aren't published here) that it must be pretty small. It's an amazing deal compared to other bento box-style lunch boxes that go for about 5 times as much. It fits right inside my son's regular lunchbox, and is easy for my preschooler to open we practiced at home :). I like that the top compartment can hold an ice pack, or a longer snack you don't want to get crushed like cereal bars. Since the top compartment opens from the outside, it's also a good spot for "snack" vs. lunch, so kids don't have to open everything up to get their snack out. The main compartment has plenty of room for a full-size sandwich. It's annoying that you can't choose the colors, but I got lucky and received the colors I wanted. I haven't tested the holding power of the lidded compartment yet, where I plan to put the yogurt.

This container is perfect for our daycare needs -it has three sections, including one with an air-tight lid for fruits or vegetables, and a great little area on the top where you can leave a message or picture -and it's dishwasher (top rack) safe. The only drawback is that it's hard to find, and I paid less than half the price offered through Amazon's seller at Walmart, plus no shipping charges. Hopefully Amazon will carry this terrific product soon.

As a first time lunch packer, I wasn't too sure what I was looking for, but didn't want items just rattling around loose in the soft sided lunch box. I ended up with two of the pink boxes and they have worked just fine. I often pack the pureed fruit pouches and the big knobby caps don't really fit well enough for the box to snap shut. On the flip side, sandwiches stay pretty intact. My daughter just turned three and she does have some trouble getting the inside lid off, but I suspect most kids using this will be a bit older.

Boon Squirt Silicone Baby Food Dispensing Spoon

Boon Squirt Silicone Baby Food Dispensing Spoon,GreenThis product is amazing and so easy to use, as all of the Boon products I've used are, until you move onto chunkier purees. Babies can't eat only smooth food forever, and this product is really only useful until about 7 months (or only during stage 1 foods). We didn't start solids until 6 months, but once our baby had gotten through most of the veggies and fruits to try as a smooth puree, we started making things chunkier for her. Foods like mashed banana, or even smooth oatmeal, gets stuck in the spoon's tiny dispensing hole. I would rate this spoon 5 stars if it came with additional spoon tips with larger holes for chunkier foods. However, as is, it's only used a short time and becomes a waste of money, as many baby items are...I hope that Boon addresses this issue and creates a more versatile product.

This product saves time. We used to use a baby spoon to feed our son but it was difficult. This product is very helpful for babies.

I like the product and love the way it looks. Unfortunately I haven't used it yet because it's been just one more step to fill the spoon with food when I can just feed him with a regular baby spoon from a little pot or bowl of food. Starting to think I won't end up using it.
